SUNDAY PRAYER PRAISE AND WORSHIP SERVICE 23 (HAPPY FATHER’S DAY)

FATHERS DAY SERVICE

Good Morning to all God’s Children, the believers as well as the non-believers.  If it is Sunday, it is time for our VIRTUAL CHURCH SUNDAY PRAYER PRAISE AND WORSHIP SERVICEToday is a very special day that God has created in the life of His Children.  A Day for all of us to Honor and Celebrate all the Fathers’ who will stand up and be Fathers, for you are truly a blessing to God, because He created you in His own image, likes and gave you His Character.  Today, we Honor you, each and every one of you, because you are truly a blessing to your children, your family, your church, your community and your nation.  Now Fathers, stand up in your HONOR, and be recognized as the WORLD honors you this day.  “HAPPY FATHER’S DAY, We love you and appreciate each one of you!”

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE READING:Joshua 24:14-15 MSG

“So now: Fear God. Worship him in total commitment. Get rid of the gods your ancestors worshiped on the far side of The River (the Euphrates) and in Egypt. You, worship God.

“If you decide that it’s a bad thing to worship God, then choose a god you’d rather serve—and do it today. Choose one of the gods your ancestors worshiped from the country beyond The River, or one of the gods of the Amorites, on whose land you’re now living. As for me and my family, we’ll worship God.”

LET US PRAY: Most Holy God, our Heavenly Father; we honor you in worship this day with our prayers and praises for blessing us with Fathers of our Children, and providing a special day to lift them up in high honor.  Father glorify them here on earth in such a way that each one of them may become the chosen leader of their family as a godly father, leading them in the path of righteousness and giving you honor for their chosen role as fathers in their own right.  Bless each person that has taken the time to sit at the Spiritual Table of blessings this day in honor of this Father’s Day.  We seek your blessings over all our leaders throughout the world this day Heavenly Father that you will guide each of them in such a way that they will become the godly leaders that you have chosen them to be over this Nation and all the Nations of the World.  Let them lead the world into a position where peace stands stronger and the drums of peace beat louder than the drums of war.  In Jesus name, AMEN!

SUBJECT: GOD SHOWERS HIS LOVE UPON ALL FATHERS

Today is FATHER’S DAY, and I want to speak directly to the hearts of all the real Fathers out there.  You know who you are and in your heart of hearts, you also know that you are loved and appreciated for being a true and Godly Father.  But there are also a great number of you out there who have become just sperm makers, you call yourselves a Father but in reality you have never accepted the role in which God created you for.  You have stepped away from your responsibilities and neglected your children and your family.  God is not pleased with you and I cannot see how you can be pleased with yourself.

Therefore, let us get one thing perfectly straight, we Mothers’ want you to take responsibility for your role as a Father and as the head of your family which God created you to be; we say to you today, Fathers, lift your head up, pull your shoulders back, stick your chest out and stand tall. You have been given an assignment and you are needed now more than ever in the lives of children every-where you journey make a difference in some-ones’ life that is you’re calling.

As FATHERS’ you wear labels and expectations from the family as well as society. You are given the task of being able to rule, guide, teach and make wise decisions and choices. In all of this you must remember your creator and look to him for instructions to apply to your lives.

We as Mother’s have had to step up to the plate, and take on the role of both Mother and Father, and that is not a role any Mother desires to play.  Our desire is for you as the Father of our Children to become their role models, and lead them as God has directed you to do.  We are tired of burying our Children because they have not been able to find their way in this life, but have chosen other unworldly people as their role models and become lawless, some committing crimes and others just hanging out and being gunned down for no other reason, other than being in the wrong place at the wrong time.  Fathers you are needed to love nurture and guide your Children to that high place God has chosen for them to be.

Now listen to how Jesus encourages your hearts with these words: “He says, As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you: abide in my love. If you keep my commandments you shall abide in my love: Even as I have kept my Father’s commandments and abide in his love (John 15:9-10).  Therefore, we encourage you father’s to learn to live as Jesus did, be obedient to the word, keep the commandments that Jesus has given to you and you will be showered with many blessings from on high.

This is my commandment; Love one another as I have loved you (12).

Today is truly Fathers’ Day, let it be a day we all pause and give thanks for their patience, love and guidance.  And when we learn to do this, we can speak truth to power and say out loud “TO GOD BE THE GLORY!”

God bless all Fathers’ this special day, and FATHERS’ use your unique gift of love to bless others and together we can make the world a better place.  HAPPY FATHERS’ DAY TO ALL FATHERS THROUGHOUT THE WORLD! In the name of JESUS, AMEN!

LET US PRAY:  Father we thank you for the opportunity to have ministered your word to the many people you have sent into this class room of higher learning this day.  We pray that the seeds of truth that were sown will sprout and manifest in joy, peace and love everlasting, and all the fathers will experience a rebirth and be regenerated as fathers of a new generation that will help to bring forth fully armed godly children.  In Jesus name, AMEN!

Let us close this chapter of our Sunday Prayer Praise and Worship Service with, “YOU ARE MY HERO!” Click and watch, then share all that you have learned today by blessing another with this message.

BE THANKFUL FOR YOUR BLESSINGS WHEN YOU ASK GOD TO ENLARGE YOUR TERRITORY…

LET US PRAY:  Merciful God our Heavenly Father, we humble ourselves in prayer before your throne of grace this morning, seeking your blessings over the lives of all your Children; that you will open their hearts to receive their Spiritual blessings you have set at the table of grace before them this day.  Allow them to live in Peace as you bring healing into their physical bodies. Renew their Spiritual Minds and put a hedge around them in order that they will find security in their Neighborhoods.  Strengthen their Minds that they may raise up against all evil where ever it may be found, and allow them to embrace the newness and fullness of this brand new day.  In Jesus name we pray, AMEN!

OUR SCRIPTURE READING: (HABAKKUK 2:2-4 KJV)   Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.  For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie; though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.

SUNDAY PRAYER-PRAISE AND WORSHIP SERVICE 20 (PRAYER)

Good Morning Children of God, if it’s Sunday it is time to enter into our VIRITUAL CHURCH SERVICE of PRAYER-PRAISE and WORSHIP.  God has smiled upon each one of us this Morning and provided us with blessings that we are yet to comprehend.  Now let us rejoice and Praise His Holy Name, because He is worthy of all our praises.

SCRIPTURE READING FOR TODAY:  John 15:1-4 MSG

Partaking of the fruit from the vine...

Partaking of the fruit from the vine…

Jesus spoke these words and He said, “I am the Real Vine and my Father is the Farmer. He cuts off every branch of me that doesn’t bear grapes. And every branch that is grape-bearing he prunes back so it will bear even more. You are already pruned back by the message I have spoken. Live in me. Make your home in me just as I do in you. In the same way that a branch can’t bear grapes by itself but only by being joined to the vine, you can’t bear fruit unless you are joined with me.

LET US PRAY:  Our Father, who art in Heaven, Hallowed would be your name, some of your children have gather together to lift up Holy Hands in Prayer for our Nation, and the Nations of the World in Honor of our fallen Soldiers, their families and all our Veterans. May the prayers of the righteous serve this day as a bridge over troubled waters to lift the spirits of all your Children, heal the broken hearts and bound up their wounds, in Jesus Christ name, Amen!

OUR SONG OF PRAISE: MY JESUS IS ABOVE ALL by Andre Gospel Ngoma

On this Memorial Day Weekend Sunday, Jesus is setting the stage for all His Children from every nation of the World to join together as one people, united with one cause and that is to honor those who have died in battle defending their people against one common enemy who is out to destroy anyone who gets in his way.  Jesus makes it crystal clear with this statement as to what we all must do when He says, “Make your home in me just as I do in you. In the same way that a branch can’t bear grapes by itself but only by being joined to the vine, you can’t bear fruit unless you are joined with me.”

Our mission this weekend is to join together in Prayer and pray for our brothers and sisters, families, relatives and friends from around the World.  Our Veterans are waiting on each of us to do our part as they have served their Nation and each one of us in Honor.

LET US PRAY:  Join with me as we lift up our Holy Hands with our dear sister Yolanda Adams as she sings the Lord’s Prayer in Honor of all our Veterans.

We thank Sister Yolanda for her awesome voice in lifting up in song, “The Lord’s Prayer,” this Sunday  morning.

IN HONOR OF OUR VETERANS:  Let us now pause our thoughts and listen to the voice of General John F. Kelly.

LET US PRAY: Most Holy God, our Heavenly Father, it is with great honor that we close this Service, honoring you for your mighty works, and all that you have done to keep us safe and providing us with strength, focus and a brand new vision for the future of all man kind that we can live in Peace, embrace each other with unconditional love and humble our hearts with a Spirit of Forgiveness.  In the name of Jesus, we pray, AMEN!

We thank each of you for attending our Sunday Prayer, Praise and Worship Service.  May Our Awesome God of Love add a Blessing to each one of your lives.  We encourage you to make this weekend a safe one.  We love you and we appreciate all our Disciples, Readers, Followers, Members and Friends.  Without you, there is no us.  We will pray for you and you pray for us, and together our prayers will help to make this world a much safer, joyful and happier world to live in.

We have ministered to you this Memorial Day Weekend from a position of Peace, Purpose, Power and Prosperity.  I remain your brother in Jesus Christ, Pastor Davis!

SUNDAY MORNING PRAYER PRAISE AND WORSHIP SERVICE 15 KNOWING

SUNDAY MORNING PRAYER PRAISE AND WORSHIP SERVICE 15 KNOWING

WELCOME TO OUR SUNDAY MORNING VIRTUAL CHURCH PRAYER, PRAISE AND WORSHIP SERVICE

JESUS SAID, "UPON THIS ROCK I WILL BUILD MY CHURCH" (PHOTO BY PASTOR DAVIS)

JESUS SAID, “UPON THIS ROCK I WILL BUILD MY CHURCH” (PHOTO BY PASTOR DAVIS)

Good Morning Children of God, it is Sunday Morning and that could mean only one thing and that it is time to lift our Holy Hands and Praise God and then Worship Him with all our Body, Soul and Mind.  It is time to get your Praise on.  No more fooling around, for God is good all the time, and all the time He is good and truly worthy of all our praises.

Let us begin this Sunday Morning Service by praying this prayer together:  Most Holy God, our Heavenly Father, we humble ourselves before you this morning with a song of praise and thanksgiving in our hearts. We seek your blessings over our life and the lives of our family, friends, relatives, our leaders and our Nation. We thank you for all that you have done that has brought us to this point in time. More importantly we thank you for what you are going to do as we journey forward this day. We ask that you give us our daily bread, and forgive us of our sins, and help us to have a humble heart as we forgive others who have sin against us.  We ask this in the name of your son Jesus, AMEN!

Now click on this first video clip and be blessed by the Prayer of Jabez as it is performed by Donald Lawrence Choir.

Now let us read this powerful Scripture together;

“TITLE” IT IS TIME FOR US TO WORSHIP IN THE SPLENDOR OF HOLINESS.  (PSALMS 96 ESV)

Oh sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord, all the earth! Sing to the Lord, bless his name; tell of his salvation from day to day.  Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous works among all the peoples! For great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; he is to be feared above all gods.  For all the gods of the peoples are worthless idols, but the Lord made the heavens. Splendor and majesty are before him; strength and beauty are in his sanctuary. Ascribe to the Lord, O families of the peoples, ascribe to the Lord glory and strength! Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name; bring an offering, and come into his courts! Worship the Lord in the splendor of holiness; tremble before him, all the earth!

Say among the nations, “The Lord reigns! Yes, the world is established; it shall never be moved;
he will judge the peoples with equity.” Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice; let the sea roar, and all that fills it; let the field exult, and everything in it! Then shall all the trees of the forest sing for joy before the Lord, for he comes, for he comes to judge the earth.

He will judge the world in righteousness and the peoples in his faithfulness. AMEN, AMEN, AMEN.  Don’t you feel the spirit of God moving through your body and mind, I thank God for you, I thank Him for the power of the Holy Spirit and how He is moving and lifting each of you up to that high place that He desires for us all to be.

Now pause for a moment and get your Bible out with your pen and paper and we are going to study the word from the Book of John chapter 14:1-8.  Click on this next video clip to begin our Sunday Morning Bible Study Worship Service.  This part is only nine minutes, so please watch it and be blessed.

The subject for our Bible Study is; “KNOWING!”  Do you know who God is, who you are and who you are in God?

It has truly been a great honor indeed for me to share the word of God with you this morning. Thank you for opening your hearts and mind to receive what God had planned for you this Sunday Morning.  Now take this message into the World and bless someone else this day and throughout this week.  Now let us continue to get our praise on as we close this Service for this moment with, “OH HAPPY DAY!”

Now let your day and week be one of joy and happiness.  Do not allow the devil to still your joy.  Remember, he is going to and fro in the earth and seeing who and what he can take down into the pits of hell with him.  We encourage you to stay focus and remain strong.  The race is not to the swift but to those who have the patience to endure.  May God’s Blessings be with you now and always, in Jesus name, AMEN! Remember, you can always go to our youtube video teaching channel, and on the left side of the page, click on playlist and you can watch all the videos that we feature here daily and a lot more that is never seen here.  We encourage you to click on the link below and discover a great blessing waiting just for you.

JESUS ENTERS JERUSALEM RIDING UPON A DONKEY

Jesus Riding on a Donkey into Jerusalem (photo by photobucket.com)

As you begin to study this lesson and the many lessons you will study on this subject, be assured that all four gospels were in agreement on this great celebration and spoke clearly about the event.  Here are the chapters and verses you can find what each had to say:  (Matthew 21:1-11, Mark 11:1-11, Luke 19:28-44, and John 12:12-19).

Now let us understand that Believers as well as non believers from around the world will begin this Sunday Morning CELEBRATING PALM SUNDAY, and we encourage you, where ever you may be to join us here as well as your local church community and together we will lift up the one who said, “If I be lifted up, I will draw all men unto me.”  It is a day of remembrance of the triumphal entry into Jerusalem by Jesus as he sit upon a DONKEY.  This was the first day of the week that Jesus would be crucified, and the great Passover festival was about to begin.  Jews would come to Jerusalem from all over the Roman world during this week-long celebration to remember the great Exodus from Egypt.

The symbolism of the donkey may refer to the Eastern tradition that it is an animal of peace, versus the horse, which is the animal of war.  Therefore, a king came riding upon a horse when he was bent on war and rode upon a donkey when he wanted to point out he was coming in peace. Therefore, Jesus’ entry to Jerusalem symbolized his entry as the Prince of Peace, not as a war-waging king.

When Jesus entered Jerusalem on a donkey’s colt, he affirmed his messianic royalty, as well as his humility.  The people recognized that he was fulfilling prophecy.  The colt, never having been ridden, did not have a saddle, so the disciples threw their garments over the colt so that Jesus could sit on it.  The action of placing the cloaks on the donkey and Jesus riding it connotes majesty.  Crowds of people had already gathered on this stretch of road a mile outside of Jerusalem, going to the city for the festival.  “The crowd’s spontaneous celebration honored Jesus as they spread their coats on the road ahead of Jesus and cut

PALM BRANCHES

PALM BRANCHES

branches from the trees.  Some were spread along Jesus path; others were probably waved in the air.  The branches were from palm, olive and fig trees, and they were used to welcome a national liberator and symbolized victory.

Palm branches are a token of rest and peace after sorrow (Revelation 7:9).  The word “Hosanna” means “Save now, we pray you.”  Putting these thoughts together, it would seem as if the people were acknowledging Jesus to be the One sent from God to save them from Roman cruelty and to give them rest and peace after the sorrow of their long years of Gentile oppression.

The disciples did not realize that what was happening was in exact fulfillment of Zechariah’s prophecy, that Jesus was actually entering Jerusalem as the rightful King of Israel.  But after the Lord had gone back to heaven to be glorified at the right hand of the Father, it dawned on the disciples that these events were in fulfillment of the Scriptures.

Now I encourage you to stay with us for awhile longer and enjoy our praise dancers. Click on the video clips below and be moved to pick up your cross and allow Jesus to help you understand your purpose on this earth as you begin to march towards your destination.

We are the stewards of what God placed in our hands.  He gave us his only begotten son as a symbol of love, peace and justice.  In CELEBRATING this PALM SUNDAY, let us remember that we all are our brothers’ keeper, therefore, when we look upon the life and death and resurrection of Jesus, he showed us in so many wonderful ways how we too should live out our lives filled with love, peace and justice and never allow our FAITH to ever wavier on the fact “we are our brothers’ keeper.”  I remain your brother in JESUS CHRIST, PASTOR DAVIS/MASTER TEACHER!

THE EXODUS STORY GOD CALLS MOSES TO GO DOWN TO EGYPT

THE EXODUS STORY

THE EXODUS STORY

HOW MANY “BUT GOD” EXCUSES DO YOU OFFER UP WHEN GOD CALLS ON YOU TO GO?

Today’s lesson offers you an opportunity to look deep into yourself and examine yourself with a critical eye upon your qualifications to serve out your purpose on this earth.  What is it that is holding you back from moving forward when God has called you to “GO?”  Are you examining yourself using your predetermined list of negatives which you feel will disqualify you in the eyes of God?  By so doing, you can always say, “BUT GOD”I am not qualified to stand before your people and preached the gospel, “BUT GOD,” I am not qualified to be a missionary leader. “BUT GOD,” I am not qualified to be a Sunday School Teacher, “BUT GOD,” I am not qualified to sing in the choir.  “BUT GOD,” I am not qualified for such a position in that great company, “BUT GOD,” I am not qualified to start my own business.  “BUT GOD,” I am not qualified to do this or do that.  “BUT GOD,” “BUT GOD,” “BUT GOD,” please don’t send me, send somebody else, [you cry out loud,] and your list of “BUT GOD,” gets longer and longer, do you not understand that before God called you, He had already determined your qualifications for services in His Ministry.  So why do you continue to make excuses before God?

You are a created being, created in the image of God, with the character of God to fulfill your purpose and the purpose for what God created you for while you are alive and living in this earth at this moment and time.  You are never too young and you are never too old.   It is your time to do what’s right and pleasing in God’s sight.  By continuing to offer up your “BUT GOD,” excuses, you are wasting valuable time which you can never gain back.  When God calls you, He will never give up on you, He will never leave or forsake you, nor will he put on you more than you can bear.  God never makes a mistake, and He knows just what he is doing.

In this EASTER STORY, MOSES was a reluctant servant when God called upon him to go down to EGYPT and bring HIS people up out of SLAVERY.  At the very moment God called on MOSES, he begin to offer up to God his list of “BUT GOD” excuses.  By Moses initial reactions and his uses of “BUT GOD” excuses, you would not be alone in your reluctant to except God’s calling you out to GO.

Now let us take a look at Moses inventory of disqualifications of “BUT GOD,” excuses.  We begin with his very first one which was his LACK OF CAPABILITY, “And Moses said to God, Who I am, that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the Israelites out of Egypt?”  (Exodus 3:11 AMB).

HIS LACK OF MESSAGE; “And Moses said to God, Behold, when I come to the Israelites and say to them, The God of your fathers has sent me to you, and they say to me, What is His name? What shall I say to them?” (Exodus 3:13 AMB).

LACK OF AUTHORITY; AND MOSES answered, But behold, they will not believe me or listen to and obey my voice; for they will say, The Lord has not appeared to you. (Exodus 14:1 AMB).

LACK OF ELOQUENCE; And Moses said to the Lord, O Lord, I am not eloquent or a man of words, neither before nor since You have spoken to Your servant; for I am slow of speech and have a heavy and awkward tongue. (Exodus 4:10 AMB).

LACK OF SPECIAL ADAPTATION;  And he said, Oh, my Lord, I pray You, send by the hand of [some other] whom You will [send]. (Exodus 4:13 AMB).

LACK OF PREVIOUS SUCCESS; For since I came to Pharaoh to speak in Your name, he has done evil to this people, neither have You delivered Your people at all.  (Exodus 5:23 AMB).

LACK OF PREVIOUS ACCEPTANCE;  But Moses said to the Lord, Behold, [my own people] the Israelites have not listened to me; how then shall Pharaoh give heed to me, who am of deficient and impeded speech?  (Exodus 6:12 AMB)

As you read Moses list of “BUT GOD,” excuses, you get a picture perfect understanding that the two list of “BUT GOD” excuses are pretty much the same.  Now instead of pleasing God, Moses seeming humility and reluctance stirred His anger.  “The anger of the Lord was kindled against Moses (Exodus 4:14).  In point of fact, the “BUT GOD” excuses Moses advanced to show his incapacity were the very reasons for God’s selection of him for the task.”

Now what do you think of your “BUT GOD” excuses?  In concluding this message this observation was offered up by (F. B. Meyer, Moses, the Servant of God)F. B. Meyer found that in Exodus 3:11 ”There was something more than humility here; there was a tone of self-depreciation which was inconsistent with a true faith in God’s selection and appointment. Surely it is God’s business to choose His special instruments; and when we are persuaded that we are in the line of His purpose, we have no right to question the wisdom of His appointment. To do so is to depreciate His wisdom or to doubt His power and willingness to become all that is necessary to complete our need”

Now we leave you with our peace that God will bless you and help you to overcome your “BUT GOD” excuses.  I remain your brother in JESUS CHRIST, PASTOR DAVIS/MASTER TEACHER!

We encourage you to tune in at 0700 in the morning for a live Video Broadcast.  Pastor Davis will preach on “OVER COMING THE THREAT OF FEAR,” a way to relieve the stress of always having to say, “BUT GOD!”

WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE LEADERSHIP AND GROWTH OF GODLY FAMILIES (INTRODUCTION)

This is an introduction to the series, which we will be teaching for the next seven days on the above topic.  We hope you mark your calendars and plan to study with us daily on this very important topic.  Our first lesson title, “WHY IS THERE AN INTERGITY AND VALUE CRISIS IN OUR LEADERSHIP?” will be posted on line after midnight today.  Please study this subject carefully, and post your thoughts, questions and are comments.

We know that God created man and placed him as the head of the family.  However, the family in America today is in deep trouble because the man has failed to be the leader God wants him to be.  Therefore, throughout this week and leading up to Father’s Day on Sunday, we will be discussing this very important topic.  This is because; we have come to the realization that the father’s failure to take responsibility and leadership in the home has created a valueless, unhappy, fractured home and society. This failure has had a devastating effect on our children and has spawned a multitude of wicked societal problems including delinquency, sexual promiscuity, drug use, and violence.

In Mark 10:42-45 we see that Christ taught that spiritual leadership is just the opposite of worldly leadership. Those verses tell us, “But Jesus called them to Himself and said to them, “You know that those who are considered rulers over the Gentiles lord it over them, and their great ones exercise authority over them. “Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you shall be your servant. “And whoever of you desires to be first shall be slave “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom many.”
. . .
Spiritual leadership is serving others and helping them grow to spiritual maturity so that they become reproductive Christians. Peter shared this same thought in I Peter 5:1-3 when he wrote, “The elders who are among you I exhort, I who am a fellow elder and a witness of the sufferings Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that will be revealed: Shepherd the flock of God which among you, serving as overseers, not by compulsion but willingly, not for dishonest gain but eagerly; nor as being lords over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock.”

WHAT ROLE SHOULD THE LOCAL CHURCH PLAY IN HELPING TO CURTAIN VIOLENCE IN THE COMMUNITIES

COMMUNITIES

I submit to you my brothers and sisters that our churches, pastors, deacons, Sunday school teachers and church leaders can and must play a pivotal role in helping to curtail the violence that our youth are perpetuating upon society as a whole.  As I write this I know I am going to get a lot of negative feedback from some of our church leaders who have sit on the side line while the violence run rapid within our schools, and communities. Now I ask you, before you make a quick judgment about this article and condemn it out of hand, use the power of your own thought process, that God has blessed you with, and become a deep thinker.  Allow your mind to think deep on what is happening within your own church and surrounding communities, and what you can do to bring about a change that will help our youth to become productive citizen of the world community.  You are truly the great leaders within your community and building strong leadership teams that can help root out crime, bring stability to the community, rebuild the community, and help to develop strong characters and new leaders from those that are now destroying the community should be a goal worthy of Godly leaders.

As I see it, to a great degree, our churches are leading the way the youth are perpetuating violence upon society, and here is the reason why I can make such a bold statement. Many of the local churches have closed their doors, locked them and placed iron bars on the doors and windows to keep the youth out.  They have an invisible sign outside that reads, no young people are welcome.  No gang bangers, no drug are alcoholic addicts, no prostitutes, no homeless person.  If you are truly not one of us, please do not enter these doors.  Now I ask you, “Is this the way Jesus would want us to treat the youth among us, for us to live in fear of what they might do?”

You as leaders, say that the youth are breaking into the churches, disrupting the flow of activities, stealing and destroying church property.  I know this to be true in some areas of the country, because I have seen it first hand for myself.  However, what I am talking about here is the turning away of our children from having a safe place to go.  The local churches should be a sanctuary for our youth.  You should not be fearful of them, but instead be and example of what and who they could become with some encouragement and proper leadership training.  I know that I am placing a lot of responsibility on our churches and church leadership, but we must remember, this is the price we pay for being a disciple of Jesus.  Jesus never ran from his leadership role and responsibilities and neither should we.  Our churches should be a place that our youth can go any time of the day or evening to play games, study and what a wonderful opportunity you now have to teach them the word of God and the right way of handling their problems and keeping them out of the jaws of Satan.

The church doors should be open all the time not just on Sunday for a Sunday morning worship service and then locked up until the next Sunday. When there is nothing for a lot of you as church leaders to do all day long, but sit at home and watch the trash on television, gossip on the phone about who is sleeping with who; then you should be more than willing to take turns, keeping the church doors open.  Now is a perfect time to train the young people in conducting Bible Study, learning to pray and preparing activities for the kids.  If you would do this, you would not have to put iron bars on the doors to keep the youth out.  The doors would be open and the youth would want to come in.  That would have a powerful positive effect on the youth as well as the community as a whole, and what a great opportunity to begin a true leadership training course for your entire leadership team as well as the community.

We Christians have to stop being afraid of our youth.  We have to take a stand exerting leadership within our church and community.  I can assure you where there is a weak leadership within the church and community; there is a concentration of drugs, gangs and violence.  The people in the community live every day in fear of their own life.  I submit to you, if you are living locked away in your home and church, afraid some kids are going to rob you or kill you, what is your purpose for living?  Take a stand, be strong, exert leadership, open the doors of your church, invite the young gang bangers to come in, teach them how to rap for the Lord, how to be gang bangers for the lost soul.  I guarantee you will begin to experience a difference in your own life as well as the life of the community.

I know what I am stating here is difficult for most churches and the church leadership as a whole.  Now let me tell you why.  I have had the good fortune to have traveled to many different parts of the world as well as travel all over America.  I attended many different churches across America as well as speak to many different church organizations and other groups.  One thing that I have come to realize is that more than 70% of all churches in America are small churches with membership of less than a 100 people and on any given Sunday morning, there will be less than 60 people in each church.

Moreover, out of those that attend, less than 5% will be young children.  Now you ask where all the children from the community are.  Come Sunday morning, the bus stops will be filled with children to attend school.  If this is the case, why are they not lined up to attend church on Sunday morning?  The reason for this is it is easier to join a large church congregation than a small church.  Where there is a church congregation of 500 or more in attendance, you will find about 35% of those is young people and the larger the congregation, the larger the youth are in attendance and active within the church.

Small churches in America have become private social clubs for the elite of the community where they are located.  If you are a member of that social elite club, you are welcome within that church.  Oh sure, they will tell you that their doors are open and all are welcome, but to become a member without first embracing yourself to the social elite and then submitting yourselves to their beliefs and you will see how fast you will get the cold shoulder.  Now I remind you that these people proclaim themselves Christian, and who am I to judge them for the bible teaches me to judge not.  In addition, most of them are lead by a preacher of their own choosing.  For the Bible tells us that some of these people and not all small churches are this way, it says, “For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.  For they are ignorant of God’s righteousness of God.” (Roman 10:2-3).

These churches that are proclaiming the word of God without submitting themselves unto the righteousness of God are the very ones I am talking about that are contributing to the violence within our schools and communities.  They are turning away the children as well as the parents of these children.  The way they turn them away, is by the actions they take in the church and carry out within the community.

The people in the community are watching and waiting.  They are hungry for the gospel, but no one within the church is taken the gospel to them.  The preacher is afraid of losing his job that he only dares to tell the people what they want to hear instead of thus said the Lord.  The temptation is so great within a lot of these small churches to do wrong, that the preachers are leading the congregation astray by not proclaiming God’s word.  Listen to what God commands his preachers to do, he says, “Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; Reprove, rebuke, exhort with long suffering and doctrine.  For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; and they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fiction (II Timothy 4:2-4).” In Jesus name we pray that a change will come. Amen

I encourage all church leaders everywhere, to think deeply on the teachings of Jesus and how he would handle the many difficult problems our young people are experiencing in this world today. Become that example that you want them to live by and put your true leadership skills on display within your community for the world to see.  When you save the life of one soul you are saving the lives of many.  I minister to you this day from a position of peace, purpose, power and prosperity in the name of Jesus Christ; I remain your brother in Christ, Pastor Davis/Master Teacher!
