Don’t allow worry to be the choice for your life, the decisions you make and the goals you inspire to reach. For Jesus says, “Let not your heart be troubled, you believe in God, believe also in me (John 14:1; NKJV). With all of your passion, suffering and tears learn to release and trust God for all your needs.

BE AN OVERCOMER by developing faith and waiting on God. Make a decision to get to know him personally because he lives within you. While you’re aiming for perfection, set spiritual goals, see opportunity and then the obstacles. Become a faith warrior and decide that living as such brings you into the presence of God because you depend on him, he will supply you with all substances necessary for a life well lived.

BE AN OVERCOMER by not being careless, apathetic and indifferent; learn the meaning of living in a calm state. In choosing to do so you will make better decision and choices. Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think anything as being from ourselves, but our sufficiency is from God (2Corinthians 3:5).

BE AN OVERCOMER and value yourself because God sees value in you; therefore, be diligent in service with a willingness to work for what you need. When you’re moving forth in your purpose, he has promised to supply what you need to accomplish your goals. You are encouraged to be anxious for nothing but in prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God (Philippians 4:6). Again I say, God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory and by Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19).

Today if you find yourself struggling with situations that seems far reached remember this, worry will not change your situation. Determine to accept where you are and keep moving towards your goal because life is filled with possibilities, BE AN OVERCOMER.

Let us understand that our brand new life proceeds from the thoughts we entertain in our minds.  Therefore, I ask this question to see how many of you have thought about it and answered it honestly for yourselves.  Knowing that it was truly a day of celebration of the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, how did you center your thoughts upon this fact as you shared your moments with your children, family and friends?  Now think deeply upon it because the memories will help you live, enjoy and appreciate all there is to come from this day forward.  Remember, everything begins from the inside, your thoughts, your actions and who you are all begins in your mind with whatever your thoughts are.

When a person realizes that life in its totality proceeds from the mind, and to the way of blessedness is opened to him or her; they will then discover that they possess the power to rule their own mind, and to fashion it in accordance with their own thoughts and ideals.  At this point you will elect to strongly and steadfastly walk those path ways of thought and action which are altogether excellent; your life will become beautiful and sacred; and, sooner or later, you will put to flight all evil, confusion, and suffering; for it is impossible for a person to fall short of liberation, enlightenment, and peace who guards with unwearyingly diligence the gateway of their mind.

This year has truly been a profound blessing for those whose thoughts have been centered upon the Lord and have allowed the Lord to use them for the greater good of all mankind.  Now that the old year is coming to an end, and a brand new year is about to begin, let us change the way we see the world and all the people the Lord brings us in contact with.  Let us use our mind’s to sow good seeds so that in 2014 the manifestation of what we sow will be great rewards that will lift us to higher places than ever before.

There are times we chose to follow our own path or listen to others without realizing the end results. The penalty of disobedience can cause you to lose what God has for you. He gives us tools needed to accomplish even the most “minute” assignment when we are obedient and allow him room to work through us. If the assignment is not one of his choices he moves us to a place that he has his eyes on for us. It is therefore the very reason why we should seek directions through diligent prayer in faith. As you study God’s word you encounter many who went contrary to assigned orders and lost.

The Penalty of Disobedience can Cause you to Lose:

Set aside time to study Gods’ word, it is there you’ll encounter life choices that went contrary to instructions from God. In the Old Testament you’ll encounter disobedience, testing of God through worshiping forbidden gods and idols. For example, Baal became on object of worship in which people choose to neglect Gods instruction for life. Oh, how they angered God, he handed them off to plunder who stripped them of their strength and dignity. God being the God he is would come in and save them from their enemies’ oppression, because he is a God of compassion.

Throughout the reign of kings you’ll see  how God’s instruction took a back seat in decision making and man decided to do things his way and how the penalty of disobedience can cause you to lose greater blessings.

We today are no different, we fail to set aside time and space to establish a real relationship with our Master Jesus. Many of “life’s choices” are made solely on what we think we know  without  considering  the true source of all that we need, the one who is a constant presence waiting to be tapped into.

Just for thought, think of how and why some people choose to do wrong knowing the end results. Remember, the penalty of disobedience can cause you to lose. Jesus is a prime example of injustice, even though he brought a message of life and hope for all; he was hung on a cross. It was a bit too late for those who allowed and participated in the process when they came to the realization of their actions, because “the Penalty of disobedience can cause you to lose”, they found themselves on the losing end.

It is in our own best interest to think long and hard about where we are and what it is we are purposed for on this earthly journey while keeping our eyes on the prize; freedom in Christ Jesus, who see and know every move we make and every thought we act upon. Let us learn the true meaning of being obedient servants working toward common goals that are well defined and pleasing in the sight of God.

Channeling Your Faith requires changing how you think and your relationship with God, your higher power. We tend to strive for things in the world that will complete or identify who we are instead of whose we are. We adapt to our surroundings allowing that to form our character into the very image of worldly ways or standards that is what’s expected, we’ve come to believe.

Channeling Your Faith assumes a totally different path. Faith requires obedience which moves us from the position of being caught up, conforming to the world’s way. We are reminded of Jesus, his teachings and the pattern he’s given to follow; therefore, we cannot worship two God’s at once. Making the decision to step out in faith requires commitment and sacrifice. Scripture reminds us that faith is not what we see with our mortal eyes but it is a hope (a trust) planted deep in our spirits.

In channeling your faith you make the decision to follow God and in doing so don’t concern yourselves with material gains because there is more to life than what you eat and wear; more to who you are than clothing.  Jesus described it this way: “Observe the birds how they are free, unfettered, and careless in the care of God; we are of far more value to God. Observe the wildflowers and all their beauty, they never primp or shop, but have you ever seen color and designs quiet like it? Even those who are best dressed look shabby in comparison.” Just think, If God give so much attention to wildflowers and birds, won’t he take care of you, take pride in you and do his best for you? (Matthew 6:25-33)

What you can do is pay attention to God, how he works, he has promised to take care of his own. So, don’t get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow. James 4:13 puts it this way, “We don’t know the first thing about tomorrow, we are nothing but a wisp of fog, catching a brief bit of sun before disappearing. Instead make it a habit to say, “If the Master wills it and we’ll still alive, we’ll do this or that.”

So you ask, what is the process for Channeling Your Faith? Place everything about you before the Master Jesus, embrace him and his message, become interconnected within the pattern; be willing to change the way you think, don’t become so well adjusted to the world that surrounds you that you’re not able to recognize what it is God wants from you and wants to do through you; embrace the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ. For once in your life dare to be different, allow God’s love to flow through you, from your center, focus on the eternal purpose and move in faith. Allow faith to be your road map, guide, friend and companion and in that, Christ will do within you a mighty work. We are all created and chosen for a purpose.

There’s nothing like the written Word of God for showing you the way to salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. Every part of Scripture is God breathed and useful one way or another–showing us the truth, exposing our rebellion, correcting our mistakes, training us to live God’s way. Learning how to Channel Your Faith molds and shape you for the tasks God has especially for you to share with others, his way.

We hope that this lesson has been a blessing to your soul.  If so why not share it with someone else and allow them to receive their blessing this day.

God’s Marvelous Light (Photo by Pastor Davis)

In the context of the above statement, there are some of you who might have the odyssey to ask the question, why?  Then I will respond in kind with these words, because your life today is a blessing to be cherished, although you might not see it this way.  However, just being alive is a humbling experience that most of us take for granted.  Nothing in this life is guaranteed, even our awaken this day.  Therefore, if we learn to look on our lives as a blessing and the opportunity to praise God for all he has done for us, then we should be able to shout Hallelujah, God is good, and I am going to praise him no matter how difficult things may seem at this moment in my life.  No one are no circumstances are beyond my ability to give God all my praises, for he has truly been good to me.

Now listen to how the Bible teaches us how we should praise God.  It says,“ Hallelujah! You, who serve God, praise God! Just to speak his name is praise! Just to remember God is a blessing— now and tomorrow and always.  From east to west, from dawn to dusk, keep lifting all your praises to God!

God is higher than anything and anyone, outshining everything you can see in the skies. Who can compare with God, our God, so majestically enthroned, Surveying his magnificent heavens and earth?  He picks up the poor from out of the dirt, rescues the wretched who’ve been thrown out with the trash, Seats them among the honored guests, a place of honor among the brightest and best.  He gives childless couples a family, gives them joy as the parents of childrenHallelujah(Psalm 113:1-9 MSG).

Hallelujah! Praise God in his holy house of worshippraise him under the open skies;
Praise him for his acts of powerpraise him for his magnificent greatness; Praise with a blast on the trumpetpraise by strumming soft stringsPraise him with castanets and dancepraise him with banjo and flutePraise him with cymbals and a big bass drumpraise him with fiddles and mandolin. Let every living, breathing creature praise GodHallelujah(Psalm 150 MSG).

Now if you are one of those people who are wondering why your life and the life of your family is in such poor condition, think on this message of praise, and if you are not giving God all your praises day by day then the answer should be quite simple, and the solution to being able to get God to bless your life and lift you up out of poverty is to begin praising God for whatsoever condition you might find yourself in.  Just open your mouth and praise him even if you are facing eviction from your home are apartment, no food to eat, no job to go to, your marriage are relationship has fallen apart, you have been stricken with a crippling decease, you ought to look towards heaven and say, thank you Jesus for this opportunity to praise you, because I know that the conditions that I find myself in today, shall be no more.  Thank you for allowing me to experience your marvelous light of this day.  From this moment forward, I am going to praise you, HALLELUJAH!

Today, heavenly father, I lift you up with all praises and thanksgiving as I give you all the glory for all that you have done in my life and the lives of the people that you have allowed the words of this ministry to touch throughout the world.  For you are God and there is no other greater than you. I thank you Father for the supernatural power that is working in the lives of your children throughout the world. In Jesus name we pray. Amen!  My brothers and sisters, I minister to you from a position of peace, power, purpose and prosperity.  I reamin your brother in CHRIST, PASTOR DAVIS/MASTER TEACHER!

Strike Ten: Death and the Passover (Exodus 11:1-10)

God said to Moses: “I’m going to hit Pharaoh and Egypt one final time, and then he’ll let you go. When he releases you that will be the end of Egypt for you; he won’t be able to get rid of you fast enough.

“So here’s what you do. Tell the people to ask, each man from his neighbor and each woman from her neighbor, for things made of silver and gold.” God saw to it that the Egyptians liked the people. Also, Moses was greatly admired by the Egyptians, a respected public figure among both Pharaoh’s servants and the people at large.

Then Moses confronted Pharaoh: “God’s Message: ‘At midnight I will go through Egypt and every firstborn child in Egypt will die, from the firstborn of Pharaoh, who sits on his throne, to the firstborn of the slave girl working at her hand mill. Also the firstborn of animals, widespread wailing will erupt all over the country, lament such as has never been and never will be again. But against the Israelites—man, woman, or animal—there won’t be so much as a dog’s bark, so that you’ll know that God makes a clear distinction between Egypt and Israel.’

“Then all these servants of yours will go to their knees, begging me to leave, ‘Leave! You and all the people who follow you!’ And I will most certainly leave.”

Moses, seething with anger, left Pharaoh.

God said to Moses, “Pharaoh’s not going to listen to a thing you say so that the signs of my presence and work are going to multiply in the land of Egypt.”

Moses and Aaron had performed all these signs in Pharaoh’s presence, but God turned Pharaoh more stubborn than ever—yet again he refused to release the Israelites from his land.

God said to Moses and Aaron while still in Egypt, “This month is to be the first month of the year for you. Address the whole community of Israel; tell them that on the tenth of this month each man is to take a lamb for his family, one lamb to a house. If the family is too small for a lamb, then share it with a close neighbor, depending on the number of persons involved. Be mindful of how much each person will eat. Your lamb must be a healthy male, one year old; you can select it from either the sheep or the goats. Keep it penned until the fourteenth day of this month and then slaughter it—the entire community of Israel will do this—at dusk. Then take some of the blood and smear it on the two doorposts and the lintel of the houses in which you will eat it. You are to eat the meat, roasted in the fire, that night, along with bread, made without yeast, and bitter herbs. Don’t eat any of it raw or boiled in water; make sure it’s roasted—the whole animal, head, legs, and innards. Don’t leave any of it until morning; if there are leftovers, burn them in the fire.

“And here is how you are to eat it: Be fully dressed with your sandals on and your stick in your hand. Eat in a hurry; it’s the Passover to God.

“I will go through the land of Egypt on this night and strike down every firstborn in the land of Egypt, whether human or animal, and bring judgment on all the gods of Egypt. I am God. The blood will serve as a sign on the houses where you live. When I see the blood I will pass over you—no disaster will touch you when I strike the land of Egypt.

“This will be a memorial day for you; you will celebrate it as a festival to God down through the generations, a fixed festival celebration to be observed always. You will eat un-raised bread (matzoth) for seven days: On the first day get rid of all yeast from your houses—anyone who eats anything with yeast from the first day to the seventh day will be cut off from Israel. The first and the seventh days are set aside as holy; do no work on those days. Only what you have to do for meals; each person can do that.

“Keep the Festival of Un-raised Bread! This marks the exact day I brought you out in force from the land of Egypt. Honor the day down through your generations, a fixed festival to be observed always. In the first month, beginning on the fourteenth day at evening until the twenty-first day at evening, you are to eat un-raised bread. For those seven days not a trace of yeast is to be found in your houses. Anyone, whether a visitor or a native of the land, who eats anything raised shall be cut off from the community of Israel. Don’t eat anything raised. Only matzoth.”

Moses assembled all the elders of Israel. He said, “Select a lamb for your families and slaughter the Passover lamb. Take a bunch of hyssop and dip it in the bowl of blood and smear it on the lintel and on the two doorposts. No one is to leave the house until morning. God will pass through to strike Egypt down. When he sees the blood on the lintel and the two doorposts, God will pass over the doorway; he won’t let the destroyer enter your house to strike you down with ruin.

“Keep this word. It’s the law for you and your children, forever. When you enter the land which God will give you as he promised, keep doing this. And when your children say to you, ‘Why are we doing this?’ tell them: ‘It’s the Passover-sacrifice to God who passed over the homes of the Israelites in Egypt when he hit Egypt with death but rescued us.'”

The people bowed and worshiped.

The Israelites then went and did what God had commanded Moses and Aaron. They did it all.

At midnight God struck every firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh, who sits on his throne, right down to the firstborn of the prisoner locked up in jail, also the firstborn of the animals.

Pharaoh got up that night, he and all his servants and everyone else in Egypt—what wild wailing and lament in Egypt! There wasn’t a house in which someone wasn’t dead.

Pharaoh called in Moses and Aaron that very night and said, “Get out of here and be done with you—you and your Israelites! Go worship God on your own terms. And yes, take your sheep and cattle as you’ve insisted, but go. And bless me.”

The Egyptians couldn’t wait to get rid of them; they pushed them to hurry up, saying, “We’re all as good as dead.”

The people grabbed their bread dough before it had risen, bundled their bread bowls in their cloaks and threw them over their shoulders. The Israelites had already done what Moses had told them; they had asked the Egyptians for silver and gold things and clothing. God saw to it that the Egyptians liked the people and so readily gave them what they asked for. Oh yes! They picked those Egyptians clean.

The Israelites moved on from Rameses to Succoth, about 600,000 on foot, besides their dependents. There was also a crowd of riffraff tagging along, not to mention the large flocks and herds of livestock. They baked un-raised cakes with the bread dough they had brought out of Egypt; it hadn’t raised—they’d been rushed out of Egypt and hadn’t time to fix food for the journey.

This is the final lesson in this series.  Our next lesson will focus our attention on the final days of Jesus life, death and resurrection.  May God bless you as you continue to study His Word and moved into action as you apply your knowledge to help others see the light?  I remain your brother in CHRIST JESUS, PASTOR DAVIS/MASTER TEACHER!

Strike Eight: Locusts Exodus 10:1-20

God said to Moses: “Go to Pharaoh. I’ve made him stubborn, him and his servants, so that I can force him to look at these signs and so you’ll be able to tell your children and grandchildren how I toyed with the Egyptians, like a cat with a mouse; you’ll tell them the stories of the signs that I brought down on them, so that you’ll all know that I am God.”

Moses and Aaron went to Pharaoh and said to him, “God, the God of the Hebrews, says, ‘How long are you going to refuse to knuckle under? Release my people so that they can worship me. If you refuse to release my people, watch out; tomorrow I’m bringing locusts into your country. They’ll cover every square inch of ground; no one will be able to see the ground. They’ll devour everything left over from the hailstorm, even the saplings out in the fields—they’ll clear-cut the trees. And they’ll invade your houses, filling the houses of your servants, filling every house in Egypt. Nobody will have ever seen anything like this, from the time your ancestors first set foot on this soil until today.'”

Then he turned on his heel and left Pharaoh.

Pharaoh’s servants said to him, “How long are you going to let this man harass us? Let these people go and worship their God. Can’t you see that Egypt is on its last legs?”

So Moses and Aaron were brought back to Pharaoh. He said to them, “Go ahead then. Go worship your God. But just who exactly is going with you?”

Moses said, “We’re taking young and old, sons and daughters, flocks and herds—this is our worship-celebration of God.”

He said, “I’d sooner send you off with God’s blessings than let you go with your children. Look, you’re up to no good—it’s written all over your faces. Nothing doing, just the men are going—go ahead and worship God. That’s what you want so badly.” And they were thrown out of Pharaoh’s presence.

God said to Moses: “Stretch your hand over Egypt and signal the locusts to cover the land of Egypt, devouring every blade of grass in the country, everything that the hail didn’t get.”

Moses stretched out his staff over the land of Egypt. God let loose an east wind. It blew that day and night. By morning the east wind had brought in the locusts.

The locusts covered the country of Egypt, settling over every square inch of Egypt; the place was thick with locusts. There never was an invasion of locusts like it in the past, and never will be again. The ground was completely covered, black with locusts. They ate everything, every blade of grass, every piece of fruit, anything that the hail didn’t get. Nothing left but bare trees and bare fields—not a sign of green in the whole land of Egypt.

Pharaoh had Moses and Aaron back in no time. He said, “I’ve sinned against your God and against you. Overlook my sin one more time. Pray to your God to get me out of this—get death out of here!”

Moses left Pharaoh and prayed to God. God reversed the wind—a powerful west wind took the locusts and dumped them into the Red Sea. There wasn’t a single locust left in the whole country of Egypt.

But God made Pharaoh stubborn as ever. He still didn’t release the Israelites.

Strike Nine: Darkness Exodus 10:21-29

God said to Moses: “Stretch your hand to the skies. Let darkness descend on the land of Egypta

darkness so dark you can touch it.”

Moses stretched out his hand to the skies. Thick darkness descended on the land of Egypt for three days. Nobody could see anybody. For three days no one could so much as move. Except for the Israelites; they had light where they were living.

Pharaoh called in Moses: “Go and worship God. Leave your flocks and herds behind. But go ahead and take your children.”

But Moses said, “You have to let us take our sacrificial animals and offerings with us so we can sacrifice them in worship to our God. Our livestock has to go with us with not a hoof left behind; they are part of the worship of our God. And we don’t know just what will be needed until we get there.”

But God kept Pharaoh stubborn as ever. He wouldn’t agree to release them.

Pharaoh said to Moses: “Get out of my sight! And watch your step. I don’t want to ever see you again. If I lay eyes on you again, you’re dead.”

Moses said, “Have it your way. You won’t see my face again.”

On Wednesday of this week, we will release the final part of this very intriguing story.  We encourage God’s blessings over your life, and that His peace will descend down upon you like a dove, and you will find much love, joy and happiness in all that you do. BE ENCOURAGE my friends, for trouble don’t last always!

THE ROAD TO VICTORY (Photo by Pastor Davis)

THE ROAD TO VICTORY (Photo by Pastor Davis)

From the beginning of this year we have provided you with a road map from the word of God on the path He wants you to follow to help you make this year the year you ACHIEVE the VICTORY that you have been seeking all your life.  Today, we continue with God’s road map in laying out a clear VISION that will help you move forward by taking action to manifest your dreams into reality, and “THE ROAD MAP TO ACHIEVING YOUR VICTORY IS FOUND IN JESUS!”

Achieving the VICTORY requires you to take action.  The first step was when God gave you the VISION; He

told you to, “WRITE THE VISION.”  God made it crystal clear that you must take action before the VISION will appear as a reality to you.  In other words you must activate what God has given to you in order for you to begin the process where you find yourself going through.  The process is never going to be easy, but it is a necessary step that must take place.

One of the reasons so many of us never achieve any desired results from what has been set before us, is because we dislike going through the process.  We fail to write it down; we fail to ask God for wisdom, guidance and understanding.  We fail to seek knowledge and clarification of where we are in the process.  Then we come up against what seems like a brick wall when door after door is been slam shut in our face.  We stand in front of the door and look at it with disgust and ask ourselves, WHY?  But we refuse to take the next step and KNOCK, because fear has so gripped our minds and we find ourselves questioning our own ability to achieve what God has already given us.

Pastor Davis teaches you how to achieve the victory by studying the word of God

Pastor Davis teaches you how to achieve the victory by studying the word of God

However, I want you to know that the Bible is crystal clear on what God wants you to do in this process.  God’s intention is to teach you how to be successful at achieving the VISION which he has given to you.  Now listen to the words of Jesus, “So I say to you, Ask and keep on asking and it shall be given you; seek and keep on seeking and you shall find; knock and keep on knocking and the door shall be opened to you.”

For everyone who asks and keeps on asking receives; and he who seeks and keeps on seeking finds; and to him who knocks and keeps on knocking, the door shall be opened.” (Luke 11:9-10 Amplified)

Do not hesitate to move on your ideas and respond to situations that call for action in order to keep the momentum going. If you are sitting waiting for something to happen, doing other “important” tasks rather than those that you know will produce the results you desire, you are wasting time and you are no closer to achieving your VISION and desired goals, [the vision which God gave you]. You may realize that you have waited for so many things in your life that never showed up!

Act on your desire in order to get to where you want to be. Waiting will not do it. The best people are not those who have waited for chances, but those who have taken them, and made chance the servitor. It is better to act first and apologize later than to seek permission first. We often wait for the feeling to be right first; before we take the action we know will bring us satisfaction. The feeling of satisfaction only comes from accomplishment, not from pondering and procrastinating. Take immediate action, not out of fear, or to force things to happen, but because the next action you take brings you, one-step closer to your desire and you will see tremendous results come into your life.

Now I realize that this might sound like a contradiction in terms of what God said when he told us to wait on the VISION.  But understand this, God was challenging us to have patience, and believe in the promise he had given to us when he said, “though the vision may tarry, the VISION will surely come.”

Sometimes opportunity knocks but sometimes you must knock. If you truly desire what is behind the door, you will knock until it opens. Sometimes you may even have to break down the door to get through to what you want. The difference between using the force out of power and using the force out of fear, doubt or worry, is that when you are powerful, you know what it is you are doing and are doing it powerfully. It does not feel forced but liberating to you.

Remember, all things come to those of us who, seek, ask and knock.  “THE ROAD MAP TO ACHIEVING YOUR VICTORY IS FOUND IN JESUS!”  Never give up, and never give in, because you are truly a winner, and a winner never gives up, and never gives in.  Jesus said, He would never put on you more than you can not bear, nor would He ever leave you are for sake you, and you can always stand on the promises of the Lord.

Pastor Davis stands in front of his two room school house where his success began.  My very first school was located within 500 feet from the house I was born in.  Both my Mother and I attended this School which set before me my Challenge to run in my race towards success.  This School is located in a small town in Marysville, S.C. Population then and now about 100 people.

By Shirley Rhodes

Life is a race, and we all entered into the racethe day we were born.  However, at that very moment we

never had the opportunity to consider it as such.  But as we begin the process of growing into maturity and been endowed with power, knowledge, understanding and opportunity, we soon discovered that we were truly in a race.  We have been challenged to run in a Race towards Success.  When we were brought face to face with this great Challenge, we had to consider where we stood in this race and just how we were going to complete with the competition in a way that we would become a success in all that we did day by day with the tools that we were given from birth.

Before going further, let us considers what this word Success mean to us.  First and foremost, Success is a relative term and it is personal and individual.  It is your answer to the problem of making your minutes, hours, days, weeks, months and years add up to a great life.

Success is harnessing your heart to a task you love to do.  It is falling in love with your work.  It demands intense concentration on your chief aim in life.  It is focusing the full power of all you are on what you have a burning desire to achieve.

Successis ninety-nine per cent mental attitudes.  It calls for love, joy, optimism, confidence, serenity, poise, faith, courage, cheerfulness, imagination, initiative, tolerance, honesty, humility, patience and enthusiasm.

THE SEAT OF KNOWLEDGE  In this two room School House I began to climb the ladder of Success.  Every success story has a beginning and a end.  My story began right here, and it is still a story in progress.

Success is having the courage to meet failure without being defeated.  It is refusing to let present loss interfere with your long-range goal.

Success is discovering your best talents, skills and abilities and applying them where they will make the most effective contribution to your fellow men.  In the words of Longfellow it is “doing what you do well, and doing well whatever you do.”

Now as you contemplate how to endure the Race Set Before you, we suggest that you chose a life centered on the teachings of Jesus.  However, in doing so you are certain to come up short a few friends simply because you choose to enter the race that leads to eternity.  This race towards success is not to the strongest are to the fastest runner.  It however, is to the person that remains focus on Jesus which will enable them to have a calm spirit and the patience to endure the trials and tribulations that are certain to come into their pathway.

Remember these three basic rules:

(1)       Joy, what’s going on inside of you, how you present yourself to others; happiness is what’s around us at all times. Sometimes we fail to take time to recognize all the beauty and peace God has provided in nature and others, learn to be thankful for each moment and not take it for granted.

(2)       In order to Endure the Race Set Before You, examine your mind set; you must win the fight, put on the whole armor of God mentioned in Ephesians 6:11-18.

(3)       There’s a course you must finish, so therefore be faithful where-ever you are, this race is one of endurance; there is a finish you must see and keep, always  stay focused and keep your eye on the prize, that prize is Jesus and you will gather strength to Endure the Race Set Before You. Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the truth (2 Timothy: 2:15).

Finally, understand this simple truth; there are no secrets of successSuccess is doing the things you know you should do.  Success is not doing the things you know you should not do.  Be encouraged in all that you do.  Jesus promised that He will always be with you, He will never leave you are forsake you.  Nor would He put on you more than you could ever bear.  He will be with you through it all.  He always will have your back, and He is challenging you to run this race towards success.

God said Let there be Light (Photo by Pastor Davis)

In this fourth lesson, it gets to the heart of teaching you how to recognize your real self as blessed, by awaken your blessings that are lying asleep within your mind.

BLESSED (HAPPY, fortunate, prosperous, and enviable) is the man who walks and lives not in the counsel of the ungodly [following their advice, their plans and purposes], nor stands [submissive and inactive] in the path where sinners walk, nor sits down [to relax and rest] where the scornful [and the mockers] gather.

But his delight and desire are in the law of the Lord, and on His law (the precepts, the instructions, the teachings of God) he habitually meditates (ponders and studies) by day and by night. And he shall be like a tree firmly planted [and tended] by the streams of water, ready to bring forth its fruit in its season; its leaf also shall not fade or wither; and everything he does shall prosper [and come to maturity].  (Psalm 1:1-3) (AMP)

When you awaken to the reality that you are already truly blessed, and all alone you have been walking out your purpose and moving swiftly towards your destination, your entire being will become filled with light and the joy of the Lord will begin to move you higher and closer towards the victory that has been waiting for you.

New Dress the look the feel

Now let us understand where we are going, if you want a little romance in Blessing, try

New Suit the look the feel

this:  Take a favorite dress of yours if you are a woman or a favorite suit if you are a man, and bless it for a happy surprise.  Bless it, praise it, and say, “Whenever I put on this, I will receive a delightful surprise.”  Do it and see what happens!

You see All Good lies dormant in everything, only waiting to be awakened.  Nothing can or does exist except by virtue of the Mind and Substance of God.  And when you bless, you call it forth into its manifestation of reality.

It is the same idea as a seed in which the tree, bloom, and the fruit lie dormant.  To bring it forth in all its glory requires first the planting, then the tending, which means watering and cultivation.

Now, what is true on one plane is true on all planes.  Therefore, the watering and cultivating of what you want is done on the Spiritual plane by blessing.  The seed of blessing is the recognition of God, the All Good, in all persons and situations.  Then you release the hidden good, both within and without.  You must know what you are doing, and why you are doing it.

Successful Business Woman

You have all heard of the often repeated saying, “God helps him who helps himself,” meaning, to help one’s self one must use what talents one already has the use of, and the ability to bless is one of our greatest talents, if we use it.

Blessing not only increases the already tangible good, but also brings forth more from the invisible or intangible.  The outpouring of your blessing has a magnetic effect on you.  Send your blessings out on wings, and they will fly back to you laden with riches.

There is no limit to the good, blessing can bring into your life.  You, through blessing, become positive; the world becomes negative in relation to you.  You can command and the world will respond to you.

If you are going to interview someone for a position, tune into that person before going by praising and

The job interview

blessing and choosing all good for him are her, by sending out to him are her joy, love, and good-will, and even though you have never met that person, try to sense that you are already friends.  That will give you ease of manner and poise, making you feel Divine Assurance, and then you will know that a mighty God Power goes before you, making easy, and instant, and perfect your way.

Call upon this Power before you make any contacts.  Say to yourself, “I can of myself do nothing, but there is a Power within me that can.  I unite with it, and call upon it, and it is done for me, through me, with perfect results and deep satisfaction.”  This will give you marvelous power.

Feel that God is your Father, taking care of every little detail for you.  Say, “Power within me, make me say the right thing, at the right time, and in the right way.  Compel me into right action!”  Then what you say will go in, and bring good results!

It is simply magical the way this works; the casting of your burden or responsibility on this loving Power, or Father within, who knows you have need of all these things even before you ask.  “Before ye ask, I have answered.”  The fact that you desire something indicates the existence of that something.  You experience the aroma of coffee, and know instantly the coffee is ready.  So likewise, with your desire.  You know your Father has already given you this thing.

Perhaps some people will say, “Oh, this entirely too simple and childish.”  Well you have heard before, “The proof of the pudding is in the eating.”  So find out for yourself.

Again I say, “It works, if you work it!”  And let me remind you that all Truth is really so simple that the intellects of men overlook it, because of its very simplicity.

“Become as little children.”  Children joyously accept their good without question.  The wisdom of man is foolishness in the eyes of God have not these last few years proved that statement to you?  Blessings belong in your life day and night, night and day.  The choice is yours, learn to bless and be blessed.  Now pause for a moment and watch this short video clip and allow it to bless your sou.

This concludes lesson four, in the next few days we will present to you lesson five, but in the mean time we ask you to spend some time studying and meditating on the truth of this lesson.  Discuss it with family and friends, then use every opportunity to bless yourself and others and begin to live your blessed life every moment of everyday.  I bless this word to each of you today.  I remain your brother in Jesus Christ, Pastor Davis/Master Teacher!

Why Are Families Breaking Down?  Written by Pastor Terry Coomer

Elwood Bible Baptist Church, Elwood, Indiana 46036

Joshua 24:14-15 “Now therefore fear the Lord, and serve him in sincerity and in truth: and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, and in Egypt; and serve the Lord. And if it seem evil unto you this day whom you will serve: whether the gods of the Amorites in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

I am greatly burdened about the family in America. The direction we are going today is total destruction. There are many reasons for this. We live in a day when words like love, commitment, responsibility, compassion, faith, church, righteousness, common sense, God, the Word of God, mean virtually nothing. I believe that much of that is due to the breakdown of the family.

Folks, the Bible strongly emphasize the family. Today, if you try to encourage a family to do as God has commanded, you will hear comments like “that church or pastor is weird, strict, legalistic, or a cult.” Most of these people have no idea what a cult is and are too spiritually ignorant to see the breakdown that is affecting their family.

The weakness of the family today is the lack of knowledge of the Word of God and an unwillingness to obey the Word of God. 2 Timothy 3:15 says that Timothy knew the holy scriptures “from a child.” It is important for our children to know the Word of God. It takes parents who are willing to make the commitment to study the Word of God and then to teach it to their children. A child must learn to have a relationship with God through His Word. A family can never be right with God as long as the parents are not having a relationship with God through His Word.

The family is a divine creation. Genesis 1:27-28, “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. And God blessed them; and God said unto them, Be fruitful and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.”

The family was created before the church. The family is a unit. Certainly, the family affects the church. The family is a divine institution. Exodus 20:12 “Honor thy father and mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.”

I want you to notice something very important here, “father and mother” is a unit. It is important to understand that there is fidelity in that unit.

The family is important in the eyes of God, especially a godly family, which is rare today. (See Ephesians 6:22-33.)

How far away have we gotten from a godly family today? How far are we away from what the Word of God says on this issue? Unfortunately, very far. It is like night and day. The church today has done a miserable job. Most pastors are under tremendous pressure today to compromise the Word of God for entertainment. Many do compromise because they are afraid they will lose people. Many Independent Baptist Church bulletins look like an airline flight and departure schedule. The less time we can give to the Bible the more the average Christian likes it. They believe that activities make them spiritual rather than a relationship with God through His Word. Many Pastors seek to find out what works to draw a crowd rather than what is right. You have homes that are running themselves to death thinking they are doing the work of God.

Many churches today have ungodly music to appeal to the flesh so they can get a crowd. They cancel services where the word of God should be preached so they can have a southern gospel sing. These people do not worship God, they worship music and activities. It is nothing more than idolatry. Then they wonder why their kids grow up to live wicked, immoral, ungodly lives and have no desire for spiritual things. Divorce is rampant and we have many people living after the lusts of the flesh right in the church ministry. 2 Timothy 4:3 warns that “the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears.” Folks, that time is now! You have people today running from church to church until they can hear it like they want it rather than what God really says. The way to build godly families is to have a good church that preaches the Word of God and stands for it. The parents who attend that church must desire the Word of God and take the time and have the commitment themselves to study the Word so they can teach the Word to their children.

I looked at some statistics for America. The numbers are alarming:

These statistics reveal some serious problems that we are facing in the family, and these numbers were from a few years ago and are much worse now.

God says, worship is to be led by the father. “For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him and they shall keep the way of the Lord to do justice and judgement; that the Lord may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him” (Genesis 18:9).

Most fathers I know could care less. This is a wicked thing. There is more to being a father than just producing children. The lack of leadership by the father today in every area is the most important factor in the breakdown of the American home. I pray the Lord will give us more men like Joshua.

Joshua 24:14-15, “Now therefore fear the Lord, and serve him in sincerity and in truth: and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, and in Egypt; and serve ye the Lord. And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom you will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: BUT AS FOR ME AND MY HOUSE, WE WILL SERVE THE LORD.”

There has to be a consecration by dad. There is more to a marriage than just living together in a physical relationship.

Lack of godly male leadership brings about the disastrous consequences of rebellion, delinquency, and sexual promiscuity. Divorce is usually caused by a father not taking his Biblical responsibilities and is something God hates, (See Malachi 2:12-17. Matthew 19:5-6.)

The most important cause of divorce in America is the lack of proper, godly leadership by the father and husband. It is also the most frequent cause of children’s feelings of rejection, behavioral problems, and anxieties.  Ephesians 6:1-4. Notice in verse 4, “And ye fathers provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.” The word “wrath” means a strong desire to avenge. How does a father provoke a child to wrath? By not bringing him up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. Nurture means training with structure. Most fathers have no desire for the Word of God and they are raising angry vengeful children because they are not committed to training their children in spiritual principles as God commands. Of course, they cannot train the child if they are ignorant of God’s principles themselves. That is a picture of the American father.

David Blankenhorn in his 1995 book, “Fatherless America,” says “the culture change from a stable, two parent home to the father’s abandonment of his responsibilities of marriage and parenting is America’s most urgent social problem. The father’s absence is the main reason for unhappy homes, many current social problems, and is a national crisis of our time.”

According to the National Fatherhood Institute, 40% of the children in the United States have not seen their father for a year! In the last 15 years “fatherless” children jumped from 10.2 million to 15.6 million. 70% of juveniles in detention centers and reformatories are children of fatherless homes. Statistics indicate that “violent criminals” are overwhelmingly males who grew up without a father’s leadership. This includes 60% of America’s rapists, 72% of adolescent murders, and 70% of long-term prison inmates. One out of every four high school seniors graduate functionally illiterate. It is more than a physical presence. There are many homes where a father is there, but that is all. They want all their needs fulfilled, but do not want to take the spiritual, godly, or normal leadership that God intended. Instead children grow up listening to their parents fight, cuss, yell, scream, spend money on all kinds of entertainment and material possessions trying to be happy.

The father’s failure to take responsibility and leadership in the home has created a valueless, unhappy, fractured home and society. This failure has had a devastating effect on our children and has spawned a multitude of wicked societal problems including delinquency, sexual promiscuity, drug use, and violence.

The family is in trouble in America because men fail to be the leaders God wants them to be. We desperately need to pray for the men of this country to do as God has commanded. The results of the men not obeying God have been disastrous. The great need is for men to repent of their sins, to really come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, and then to be obedient to the commands of God from His Word. Men must be the leaders God desires them to be. May God help us to pray for the men of America.

A child grows up ready for work (Photo by Pastor Davis)

What gain has the worker from his toil? I have seen the business that God has given to the children of man to be busy with. He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also, he has put eternity into man’s heart, yet so that he cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end. (Ecclesiastes 3:9-11 ESV)   So I saw that there is nothing better than that a man should rejoice in his work, for that is his lot. Who can bring him to see what will be after him? (Ecclesiastes 3:22 ESV)

Now that the scriptures have spoken, let us begin this study this morning by describing the reason for work.  Work is something we all do day in and day out.  But if I ask you, do you really know what work is and why we are all called to the task of doing it?  You would automatically answer the question by saying in the affirmative; “of course I know what work is.”  Do you think that I am that stupid, when I have to get up every day and do it?   To begin with, please indulge me for a moment and allow me to provide you with a few basic facts about this word work.   “Work is a means by which we glorify God by fulfilling our calling; work is a means to love God by loving our neighbor; work is a means by which we learn and understand our need for God; work provides for our needs and benefits the community.

For at least eight hours a day, forty hours a week, two thousand hours a year, and one hundred thousand hours a lifetime, nearly every one of us works.  By comparison, even death and taxes seem less certain.  So why do we spend so much time working when it seems in today’s technology world there is so much more to do than to spend all our time working.  But if we didn’t work, what would we call the things we do to get what we want?  What would it all be about?  In order to clarify this, let us understand how work came into existence.

Work first begins when God created the heavens and the earth.  He worked for six days, with light and atoms and dirt and fire and water, the elemental, and he was satisfied.   He worked and, stepping back from the results saw that it was good.  To drive home the point, he repeated himself.  Other than the work itself, God did not need to manufacture a reason for working.

In his image and after his model, God created man, in part, to work:  “The lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it.”  (Genesis 2:15).  God’s first assignment to mankind was this: “work.”  Uncorrupted by the perversions of sin and death, work had to be good—very good.  An ideal as high as God is wide, work was no less than the sharing of divine privilege.  God asked that we work as he did so that his work, creation, would be cared for.

Robert R. Ellis, writing in the Southwestern Journal of Theology, summarized three simple and magnificent truths from (Genesis 1:26-30):

  1. God created, and therefore he owns.
  2. We manage resources that God owns.
  3. We were created in God’s image, and therefore we are expected to manage resources the way God would manage them.

The fundamental idea of work is stewardship—the task of protecting and adding value to all the assets God has put under our care.  Through our work, God asks us to care for his creation.  Because we are created in his image, work is in fact one of the defining activities that separate us from other creatures.  Bees, bears, and beavers work to survive, we as people work to manage God’s assets.

Work, then, is a big idea and no small matter.  In the name of the King, we serve as steward of all we see.  Therefore, let us understand that when it comes to our work, stewardship offers us a brand new perspective.  We no longer work “under the sun,” but view life from above the sun—from God’s perspective.

From this vantage point, we now come to know that God calls each one of us to our jobs, in order that we may now do His work.  That is, we are to take care of His creation.  We must manage His resources as He would.  We possess His power of attorney for management decision making.  When someone requests references, we can drop the name of the Creator and Sustainer of the cosmos.  When money is an issue, we can sharpen our pencils in the light of eternity.

More than correct theology, stewardship is a powerful philosophy that permeates all of life and work.  “Stewardship is not a subcategory of the Christian life.” “Stewardship is the Christian life.”  Stewardship is first an internal reality, affecting the way a person thinks, sees, and feels.  Stewardship anchors motivation.  Once inside our heart and mind, stewardship eventually and inevitably works its way out.

Now in conclusion, it is clearly understood that in our day-to-day living, stewardship knows no limits.  There is no blank in which we check off “DONE.” Therefore, we leave you with this final thought, “THE FUNDAMENTAL IDEAL OF WORK IS STEWARDSHIP!”  I have ministered this message to you this day from a position of peace, purpose, power and prosperity, and I remain your brother in Jesus Christ, Pastor Davis/Master Teacher!

As a believer, we must have a champion mindset to compete the Christian life. The race that all Christians need to prepare themselves for is the calling of God. What does it take to be a champion in a given sport? For one, it is necessary to have a dedication to succeed no matter what the cost.  A passion for the game is certainly essential, as is a single-minded determination to accomplish the task.  A willingness to train incessantly is required.  In addition, a burning desire for the trophy or prize awarded to the one who wins is an absolute must.

In (1 Corinthians 9:26, Paul illustrates the “champion” mindset required to faithfully complete the Christian life with this statement, “I run thus; not with uncertainty” and “Thus I fight; not as one who beats the air.”  We understand from studying this verse that Paul was not an aimless competitor.  He had a clearly defined goal.  Like an athlete preparing for a race or a boxing match, Paul knew that he had to discipline his body; he had to force himself to maintain the strenuous, consistent practice needed for success.

The race that Paul prepared himself for, the race that all Christians need to prepare themselves for was the calling of God.  Paul taught, that Christians are rewarded for the calling that God gives them.

One weekend I was watching the sports news and heard something I had never heard before.  A sportscaster was covering a Las Vegas boxing match.  He reported that the match was stopped because one of the fighters had quit fighting in the middle of a round and started crying.  This burly brother just broke down in the middle of the fight.  They later learned that the fighter was physically, mentally, and emotionally unprepared to fight.  The promoter said he had tried several times to convince the fighter’s coach and trainers to cancel the bout because of concerns that the fighter had not completely recovered from a recent struggle with drug abuse.  He told them that the man wasn’t in any shape to box, but his camp insisted the fight go on as planned.  So they put him in the ring, and shortly thereafter, this out-of-shape athlete gave what he had.  When that ran out, he quit.  Moreover, he cried.

Obviously, he lost the fight.  If he had won, it would have been a significant step in his career, putting him on track toward the championship.  If his trainers had postponed the match, he might have won.  But they didn’t, and he lost.  He lost because he was out of shape.

Many of you are losing the fight.  You are losing spiritual battle after spiritual battle, not because you don’t know Jesus, or because you doubt the promises of God, but because you’re not spiritually fit.

In 1 Timothy, Paul painted a picture of an athlete who trained his body for competition.  He counseled Timothy, his rookie minister, to train and prepare himself for spiritual competition.  Paul said to be an effective minister; a true servant of the Lord, Timothy needed to exercise himself on a spiritual level.  Paul said, by comparison, that bodily or physical exercise is good, but its benefits are limited to the body, which is purposed to serve us only temporarily, only in this life.

However, spiritual fitness, or godliness, has lasting value.  Its benefits carry the believer through this life and the life to come.  As believers, we should prepare ourselves spiritually for the challenges and battles of our Christian walk.  Paul urged us to get in shape and stay in shape.  The choice is yours, what will you do, and how will you prepare yourself for Spiritual Fitness?

Now this concludes part one of this two part lesson.  In part two we will discuss with you, your options of training.  I remain as always, your brother in Jesus Christ, Pastor Davis/Master Teacher!

2 Corinthians 1:3-4 (MSG)

All praise to the God and Father of our Master, Jesus the Messiah! Father of all mercy! God of all healing counsel! He comes alongside us when we go through hard times, and before you know it, he brings us alongside someone else who is going through hard times so that we can be there for that person just as God was there for us. We have plenty of hard times that come from following the Messiah, but no more so than the good times of his healing comfort—we get a full measure of that, too.

The time has come for all of God’s people to rise up and FREE their MINDS of all negative, thinking and learn how to live in this world where the abundances [PROSPERITY] of all God’s gifts are available to all who would seek after them.  Know that Jesus is the true VINE and we are the BRANCHES, and if we abide in Him, he will abide in us, and we shall produce the fruit that we desire for our lives in great abundance.  Pause for a moment and watch this short video clip and we will continue this discussion on the other side.

In this world today, we find that many people are filled with anxious desires to overcome their present lot in life. Anxieties are running deep in their veins, being faced with much lack of everything that this world has to offer and in their heart of hearts not being able to have the basics necessaries that God has promised to them that love and believe in the Lord.

Nevertheless, I say to all the people, know that God never makes a promise that he will not fulfill.  Just hold onto God’s unchanging hands and your storehouse will never be bare.  You see, God has provided the world with all the necessary things for man’s survival in this world.

Remember, there are three basics things that we need for our survival and they are; the air we breathe, the water we drink and the food we eat.  These three basics necessities, God provides them in great abundances’ and they are free and without germs are diseases.

But Then You Would Say, I Need A Job And Without A Job How Can I Have Food On My Table For Me And My Family To Eat, Clothes For My Children To Wear, Money To Pay My Mortgage And Car Note, Money To Keep The Lights And Gas On In My House, Money To Send My Kids To College And Of Course Your List Will Go On And On.  It Is True, That Working On A Job And Receiving A Paycheck Is One Way Of Providing You With Money To Help Offset These Burdens.  However, Do You Remember What Jesus Teaches Us Concerning These Things?

This is what Jesus wants you to know, He says, “Therefore I Tell You, Stop Being Perpetually Uneasy (Anxious) And Worried) About Your Life, What You Shall Eat Or What You Shall Drink; Or About Your Body, What You Shall Put On. Is Not Life Greater [In Quality] Than Food, And The Body [Far Above And More Excellent] Than Clothing?

Look at the birds of the air; they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father keeps feeding them. Are you not worth much more than they?

And who of you by worrying and being anxious can add one unit of measure (cubit) to his stature or to the span of his life?

And why should you be anxious about clothes? Consider the lilies of the field and learn thoroughly how they grow; they neither toil nor spin.

Yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his magnificence (excellence, dignity, and grace) was not arrayed like one of these. [I Kings 10:4-7.]

But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and green and tomorrow is tossed into the furnace, will He not much more surely clothe you, O you of little faith?

Therefore do not worry and be anxious, saying, what are we going to have to eat? Or, what are we going to have to drink? Or, what are we going to have to wear?

For the Gentiles (heathen) wish for and crave and diligently seek all these things, and your heavenly Father knows well that you need them all.

But seek aim at and strive after, first of all His kingdom and His righteousness, His way of doing and being right, and then all these things taken together will be given you besides.

So do not worry or be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will have worries and anxieties of its own. Sufficient for each day is its own trouble.  (Matthew 6:25-34 AMP)

You see, in this passage Jesus is trying to bring you into the realization that you are free of all yokes and bondage of man’s rule over you.  It is not man that is going to provide you with the necessities of this life, but it is God who provides all of those who believe.

This concludes PART 1 of our teaching this series on, “FREE YOUR MIND AND LIVE IN PROSPERITY!”  In PART 2, we will discuss the PREREQUISITE of how to “FREE YOUR MIND.”

Today we have ministered to you from a position of PEACE, PURPOSE, POWER and PROSPERITY.  May we encourage you to lift your sights high and think globally as you work locally within your FAMILY, CHURCH and COMMUNITY, to help bring about the necessary changes that will FREE your MIND and those around you in order that you may enjoy the great abundance that God has already provided for those of you who truly loves Him?  I remain your brother in CHRIST JESUS, PASTOR DAVIS/MASTER TEACHER!

At the beginning of this brand new year, God gave us a vision, and he told us to, “WRITE THE VISION,” and engrave it so plainly upon tablets that everyone who passes may [be able to] read [it easily and quickly] as he hastens by.

For the vision is yet for an appointed time and it hastens to the end [fulfillment]; it will not deceive or disappoint. Though it tarry, wait [earnestly] for it, because it will surely come; it will not be behindhand on its appointed day.  (Habakkuk 2:2-3 AMP).

This is the message that God gave to us as His appointed servants, we then gave this same message to you in order to help you achieve your desired goals in 2012.  Today’s message is just another one of the many building blocks that will enable you to achieve the victory that God has promised to those of you who choose to believe and then work to achieve the greatest victory of your entire life.  Now pause for a moment and watch this short video on Positive Thinking, and then continue reading this message on the other side.

Because we know that you are lacking in enthusiasm due to the slow pace of putting in place the necessary pieces of the vision, [which is God’s plan for your life], we therefore ask this simple question.  Have you ever met a successful pessimist?  Optimistic thinking requires turning negative thoughts into positive, healthy aspects of living day by day.  You were born an OPTIMIST, but circumstances in your life might have turned you into a pessimist.  Therefore, part of being in a position to achieving the victory requires you to become an OPTIMIST.

Now look at this way, the economy is bad; businesses are downsizing and firing hundreds of thousands of people. In addition, they are sending many of the jobs overseas, and the kids come home from school with bad report cards and an invitation from the school principals to meet with the teachers before the kids are kicked out of school.  Can life get any worse? Sure, but should we let it bother us?  No!  The one thing that we never want to do is to allow our minds to become burden with negative thinking.  We must learn to always turn the negative into a positive. Being a pessimist can create stress in our lives, and stress will wreck havoc on our health which can cause a down spiral in everything we attempt to do that is good.

The author Chris Widener wrote, “Become an optimist, and see your world change before your eyes!”  The bible teaches us in Romans 12:2, to be transformed by the renewing of our minds.  In other words, if we change our thinking from being pessimistic about the things in which we cannot change, but begin to live life full of OPTIMISM about the things in which we can change and focus daily upon the goodness of God’s blessings in our lives, we will begin to see and feel a renewed strength and vigor in our lives, which we never knew existed before.

The dictionary describes Optimism as:  “Hopefulness and confidence about the future or the successful outcome of something.”  The tendency to expect the best and see the best in all things, the doctrine of the ultimate triumph of good over evil, the philosophical doctrine that this is the best of all possible worlds.

Now as we take a close look back over the past year, it brings us clearly into the reality that it has not been a very good year for half of all Americans, because we now know for a fact that half of all of us are living near are below the poverty line. This type of situation makes for a lot of pessimists views in America.  Therefore, in order to rise above it all, we must change our thinking and set our sights high and become full of OPTIMISM.

You can’t accomplish anything unless you try.  So if you want to get something done, try, and then be optimistic about it.  Imagine building the tallest building in the world; it seems pretty much impossible. Now realize that all of the tallest buildings in the world were built by people who decided, that is what they wanted to do.  Now imagine them saying to themselves as they broke ground, “I’ll never be able to build the tallest building in the world.”  What sounds more unrealistic, building the tallest building in the world, or the person who has, thinking that they couldn’t?

So let’s get out there, dream big, have confidence through optimism, and remember to spend a lot of time asking God for help.  Stop seeing dead ends by approaching activities as opportunities and not burdens. Change your thinking and allow your thoughts and words to speak to the optimist side of your life and say these words, “I can.” Because, “I have strength for all things in Christ who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him who infuses inner strength into me; I am self-sufficient in Christ's sufficiency].”  (Philippians 4:13 AMP).

Susan M. Heathfield wrote these words, “The power of optimism cannot be over-rated as a factor in success and personal growth and development. Optimism allows you to see the positive aspects of any situation and enables you to capitalize on each possibility. Optimism may be partly responsible for success in most aspects of life. Some research exists that demonstrates that optimism results in higher achievement.

Now in closing, let me encourage you to change your outlook for this day from being a pessimist about your chances of achieving the victory, to becoming a total part of the community of believers who have decided to have an optimist view of seeing the reality of your vision manifesting itself into all that God said it would become providing you have the patience to wait on it.  You are the captain of your life.  Now take charge of your emotions and allow OPTIMISM to blossom and flourish in every aspect of your life this day and everyday there afterwards.  As we leave you for this moment, allow us to share this beautiful video of God’s Blessings with you and ask you to share the same with your family and friends.  God blessed you this day in order that you will bless someone else.

Let me begin this discussion by assuring you that nothing is beyond your reach.  All that you have not achieved in this past year is waiting for you in this New Year.  Stay focus on the prize, you have set very high and achievable goals for this brand new year.  Now we will teach you how to achieve them.

The very first thing you must know, and that is, “you are the master of your destination.”  Whatever your mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve.  Therefore, we ask you to clear out all negative thinking, and fill your mind with beautiful thoughts of the possibilities that lie ahead.  Remember, just as a good tree bears good fruit and a diseased tree bears inedible fruit, so the fruits of a person’s life will show the quality of his or her characterFruit is a comprehensive word, referring to teaching, character, and action.  Our character is revealed by our conduct.  Our thoughts become that which we choose to be.

The journey will not be easy, but as we stated in the beginning, “it is achievable.”  Every step you take, the devil will be waiting to take you down.   He will be walking about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour, and if you are not careful in your walk with God you will be his next victim.  You must learn to grow in God’s grace.  Why, Because God has already provided the victory just for you.  Placing your faith in God and not in the world is the beginning of all knowledge that will transform your life and put you on the right track to achieving your desired goals.  Know that a believer’s growth sometimes may be hindered or halted by three distinct enemies: the Devil, the world, and the flesh.

We are warned how the Devil walks or roams about like a lion.  When lions hunt, they look for weak, young, isolated, unguarded animals.  They are the ones marked for attack.  The Devil’s ultimate agenda is to destroy us, not merely to hurt, maim, or discourage, but to devour and destroy us.  He does that when he gets us to bow to circumstances, pressures, or forces of his evil design, hoping thereby to make us yield to him.  To overcome this evil spirit we must adopt a reverse strategy: I will call this strategy, “B.O.W. TO JESUS,” the One you BELIEVE, OBEY and WORSHIP.  He overcame, refusing to bow to Satan’s devices (Matt. 4:8-10), and our growth in Him will bring the same ability to resist or stand against the Devil (1 Peter 5:9). We must be clothed in the full armor of God: be armed with the Word of God (Eph. 6:10-14), believe Him (Heb. 11:6), obey Him (1 John 3:24), and worship Him (John 4:23).  Receive Christ’s overcoming victory!

When our minds are filled with the word, our strategies for achieving our desired goals are assured.  Nothing can stop us now, although the devil will continue to lay stumbling blocks in our path way, however, because our minds are centered on God and we are filled with the word, these stumbling blocks are opportunities to continue to move forward at great speed.

The first step in this process is to “WRITE THE VISION,” we gave you this step a few days ago.  Now I encourage you to study this step very carefully and comply with its instructions. The next step in the process is for you to study your written plan and focus all your attention on it like a laser beam.  Know that all that you do is part of the process; each step you take is placing you in the flow towards achieving the greatest victory that you have ever imaged.  The process will never be easy, but it is achievable.

Now listen up, to the word of God as spoken by Peter in the book of (1 Peter 5:5-8).  Likewise you younger people, submit yourselves to your elder.  Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for “God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”  Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.  Be sober; be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.

Therefore, remain in the flow where all streams will lead you towards the lake, from there the flow of the lake will lead you into deeper and wider streams of fishing called the rivers of life.  As you navigate from the river, the flow will take you into the ocean where you shall conquer your greatest victory of all.  Stay with us and we will help to get you there.  Remember, keep your eyes focus on Jesus, because he is your navigator, we are just the instrument that he has placed in your hands to help you day by day.

Today, we have ministered to you from a position of PEACE, PURPOSE, POWER and PROSPERITY.  Always think globally as you work locally to achieve your dreams, because they are truly only a thought away.  I remain your brother in JESUS CHRIST, PASTOR DAVIS/MASTER TEACHER!

We have entered a brand new year, the old, we have left behind.  All things new lie ahead, and therefore present us with our greatest challenges of all time.  The question then becomes, “how do we solve our family problems in this new year that divided our family in the old year?”  This is a very important question that must be placed at the head of our list of problems to be resolved in 2012, but resolve them we must.

Satan is our greatest enemy, and he is continuing his work of divide and conquer.  He knows that families, a church are a business that is divided against its self eventually destroys itself from within.  Therefore, every opportunity he gets, he pushes our hot buttons to make us war against each other.

The time has come for us to learn to lean and depend on the one who has already defeated Satan, to show us the way of bringing cohesiveness into our families that will triumph over the evil spirits that have divided us in the past.  We are victories, because God has given us the victory to lead our families to victory in 2012.  No weapon formed against us shall prosper.  That means no matter what Satan attempts to do with his limited powers by pitting one member of the family against another member, if we are leaning, depending and trusting in God, Satan is doomed and we can return our families to greatness by knowing the truth.  The bible teaches us in John 8:32 this simple message, “Know the truth and the truth will set you FREE.”

Leaders within the families must stand strong, processing a strong moral character and not comprise their moral integrity for the evil that Satan will present to them.  The Pharisees were a perfect example of presenting division within the family, and Jesus was the perfect example of a leader who presented a strong moral character and showed us the standards by which we must stand on to be a great leader for our families.  Jesus said to them, “Look at the proud! They trust in themselves, and their lives are crooked. But the righteous will live by their faithfulness to GodWealth is treacherous, and the arrogant are never at rest. They open their mouths as wide as the grave, and like death, they are never satisfied. In their greed they have gathered up many nations and swallowed many peoples.  (Habakkuk 2:4-5 NLT)

As a leader in our families, our job is to be a servant leader.  Follow the example of Jesus and become a humble servant and serve all humanityFamily members will present you with some of the greatest challenges you will ever encounter.  But you must know how to overcome the feuding by following the example of JesusJesus knew Satan’s strategies and just how he would apply them to bring about division within the familyJesus said to them,Any kingdom divided by civil war is doomed. A town or family splintered by feuding will fall apart. And if Satan is casting out Satan, he is divided and fighting against himself. His own kingdom will not survive. (Matthew 12:25-26 NLT)

Your strong moral character must be the example in which the family in 2012 will rally around and find their moral compass to move towards the purpose and destination that God has already laid out for them.  Remember, just as a good tree bears good fruit and a diseased tree bears inedible fruit, so the fruits of a person’s life will show the quality of his or her characterFruit is a comprehensive word, referring to teaching, character, and action.  Our character is revealed by our conduct.

We have ministered this word to you today from a position of PEACE, PURPOSE, POWER and PROSPERITY.  We encourage you to think globally as you work locally to bring about a change within the family in 2012.  Making it stronger, more cohesive and less divisively.  Empowering it with love, growing it with a purpose, as God blesses you, moles you and shapes you into a powerful, yet humble servant that is capable of moving the family into the realm of possibilities and bringing about the prosperity that is desired for the family in 2012.  I remain your brother in CHRIST JESUS, PASTOR DAVIS/MASTER TEACHER!

This is one of the most fearful times in our nation’s recent history. How we respond to it, both individually and collectively, may determine the outcome.  However we view it, we must overcome our fears in order that we achieve the success God has already provided for us.

For God did not give us a spirit of timidity (of cowardice, of craven and cringing and fawning fear), but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of calm and well-balanced mind and discipline and self-control(2 Timothy 1:7 AMP)

The coping behaviors we are seeing – avoidance, denial, being reactive, staying busy – are somewhat predictable, as are the feelings produced – anxiety, anger. What’s causing such reactions, to a large degree, are unanswered questions such as these: Are we in this together, or is it everyone for themselves? Will we ever find our way out of this, and if so, how long will it take?

Among the unfortunate psychological side effects of a crisis like this is (1). People feeling isolated and believing that they having to work out their work and financial issues on their own because everyone else is preoccupied;  (2). A loss of confidence in our economic and political institutions, and leadership of all kinds, and finally (3). A resulting loss of self-confidence, and even depression as people cope with the crisis in different ways.

We can feel powerlessness and hopeless, which produces a cycle of futility that can spiral downward. People bring all of this baggage to work, where it can show up in a lot of ways – cheerful denial, tense conversations, angry conflicts, misperceptions and miscommunication, and even distrust.

We do have a choice? The choice at home or at work is very simple: Let the fear control your reactions, or embrace the fear. At a time like this, we could easily go negative or reactive, with predictable results. We could go naively positive and be viewed as out of touch. We could bury our heads in the sands of busyness in the hopes the crisis will go away. But one thing is clear, this is one set of crises from which we can run but definitely not hide.

If we are not going to run and hide but embrace this fear, what do you need to do?

Stay grounded: Find your own ground first, where you are your true, authentic self – what truly matters to you, your core values, your mission in your work. Find a quiet place to reflect on what is true vs. what is perceived. From reflection comes discernment, and with discernment comes perspective and a more positive attitude.

Lead with compassion: This is a time to lead from the heart rather than the head. The work force needs reassurance, information, perspective and a chance to be heard. Over-communicate. Create opportunities for people to talk about their concerns. The worst thing that can happen is that we act like nothing is going on – and then we get what we get.

Maintain a realistic optimism: Practicing optimism in the face of the daily reports of Armageddon is not exactly easy. But optimism creates its own energy. It’s easier if we’re grounded daily, which gives us perspective. And with a positive attitude, we can avoid overreacting and actually create an environment in which we are looking for creative solutions.

Support each other: It’s about relationships. Everyone at work is going through the same stuff. Most people do not want to feel isolated or alone during times like these. Create opportunities for people to talk about their concerns and how they are problem-solving. In mutual support and communication, the work force will discover a new sense of community.

Go with the energy: What you resist persists. The more we resist engaging our fears, the worse they become. Go with the energy that is generated when people can have an honest conversation about the realities of how this economy is impacting work life. Once the dialogue is opened up, people will move from their concerns to solutions – and support for each other. This is the energy of true collaboration.

President Franklin D. Roosevelt famously said in his inauguration address in 1933 that “we have nothing to fear, but fear itself.” His words were meant to reassure a struggling people at the height of the Great Depression – the most difficult economic times this nation has faced in at least 100 years. It is a time for us to be authentic and truthful about our workplace challenges. It is a time to engage each other. It is a time to move beyond our fears to achieve success – together.

Now let me close with this final thought for each one of you who have taken the time to read this entire lesson and the many lessons we teach here daily, “Think globally, and work locally.  Looking beyond ourselves in the real and on line world, to reach out to others who might be in need, for we all are truly our Brothers Keeper, may the grace of God abide in you now and forever, in Jesus name, Amen.
