THE ENDING AND THE BEGINNING

The fullness of God’s grace is beyond our human appreciation, comprehension or full knowledge. The riches of His goodness cannot be expressed or described by mortal tongue. We can only attempt to describe it, and our best efforts will be a puny approximation. We can admire the beauty of His divine grace, but we cannot really explore its depths.  At best we can only stand in awe at what we have seen and live in the expectance of what is yet to come.  Through God’s grace we have survived the trials and tribulation of a year of ups and downs in many areas of our lives.  We now stand at the end and await the beginning of the new.

The Endings and Beginnings are a part of who we are as well as the process we all go through in life. Jesus last day upon the cross was truly a lesson for all of us to learn concerning our own lives.  When we pause and reflect upon the last day, we quickly realize so much has happened, struggle, decisions, choice and chance; yet we have so much to be thankful for,  there are even moments we can look back on with pride and accomplishment.  What to do with our learning experiences, stop and take stock (think); what have I accomplished that makes me proud, did I reach goals I set for myself this time last year?

What ever happened this year is behind us and those moments can never be reclaimed, they are endings.

This day and this moment is truly a brand new beginning, letting go of ways that are not beneficial such as anger, resentment, fears, allow those things to become part of our experiences we grow from and then release them.  Let’s become more diligent in our prayer life, pray for joy, peace, directions and for everyone whether we know them or not.  Let us make room in our hearts, our lives to fellowship and set side time for introspection with our higher power, the source, the light, the bread of life, remembering to follow the pattern Jesus gave so that we might live productive lives.

Endings and Beginnings: Our spiritual identity is our soul, our spirit and that never change.

Life takes us through changes that enhance our character and instills values in our lives developing our inner being and helping us to discover who we really are.  We go through many changes in a life time before we find out who we really are and what we have to give.  One thing is certain, we should always see ourselves as valuable even though others may not recognize and/or accept that fact.

No matter what role or purpose we’ve been assigned in this life; knowledge we gain through the process, keep it close to heart as Wisdom teachings. Proverbs remind us in this way:  Collect my counsels and guard them with your life, tune your ears to the world of Wisdom. Set your heart on a life of Understanding, make insight your priority and don’t take no for an answer, before you know it Fear of God will be yours; you’ll have come upon the Knowledge of God (Proverbs 2:1-5). God gives out Wisdom free and is plainspoken in Knowledge and Understanding. He is a rich mine of Common Sense for those who live well (6). He controls our Endings and Beginnings so why not learn to trust him with an obedient heart and attitude, which pleases Him.

This is the time of year to reflect on where we’ve been; a time to release those things (ways) that hinder our growth and the time to look forward to a new year encouraged with optimism, strength and courage. Learn from the Endings and embrace new Beginnings, make this year about   renewal, commitment, caring and sharing. Grow in God’s Grace and Love.

Make it a Brand New Beginning!!

When we think about where we have been this past year and how we have managed to come through it all, we must confront this one truth, and that is simply this, “Our God is truly an awesome God.  Have you ever come on anything quite like this extravagant generosity of God, this deep, deep wisdom? It’s way over our heads. We’ll never figure it out.  Is there anyone around who can explain God?  Anyone smart enough to tell Him what to do; anyone who has done Him such a huge favor that God has to ask His advice?  Everything comes from Him, Everything happens through him; everything ends up in Him.  Always glory!  Always praise! Yes, Yes, Yes!”  Romans 11:33-36.

Now as you make plans for this Brand New Beginning we encourage you to grow in God’s Grace, make this a happy, joyful, safe and prospers New Beginning.  Click on this video clip sit back relax and allow the sounds of the water to minister to you as you reflect on your Brand New Beginning that lies ahead.  May God bless you abundantly, in Jesus name, Amen!

May God’s grace and mercy abide in you throughout this Brand New Beginning, filling your life with pure joy and prosperity.

BE ENCOURAGED TROUBLE DON’T LAST ALWAYS

BE ENCOURAGED TROUBLE DON’T LAST ALWAYS

2 Corinthians 1:3-4 (MSG)

All praise to the God and Father of our Master, Jesus the Messiah! Father of all mercy! God of all healing counsel! He comes alongside us when we go through hard times, and before you know it, he brings us alongside someone else who is going through hard times so that we can be there for that person just as God was there for us. We have plenty of hard times that come from following the Messiah, but no more so than the good times of his healing comfort—we get a full measure of that, too.

PUPOSE AND MESSAGE (Jesus Christ the Master)

PUPOSE AND MESSAGE (Jesus Christ the Master)

2 Corinthians 4:3-7, 12-18 MSG

If our Message is obscure to anyone, it’s not because we’re holding back in any way. No, it’s because these other people are looking or going the wrong way and refuse to give it serious attention. All they have eyes for is the fashionable god of darkness. They think he can give them what they want, and that they won’t have to bother believing a Truth they can’t see. They’re stone-blind to the dayspring brightness of the Message that shines with Christ, who gives us the best picture of God we’ll ever get.

Remember, our Message is not about ourselves; we’re proclaiming Jesus Christ, the Master. All we are is messengers, errand runners from Jesus for you. It started when God said, “Light up the darkness!” and our lives filled up with light as we saw and understood God in the face of Christ, all bright and beautiful.

If you only look at us, you might well miss the brightness. We carry this precious Message around in the unadorned clay pots of our ordinary lives. That’s to prevent anyone from confusing God’s incomparable power with us. As it is, there’s not much chance of that. You know for yourselves that we’re not much to look at. We’ve been surrounded and battered by troubles, but we’re not demoralized; we’re not sure what to do, but we know that God knows what to do; we’ve been spiritually terrorized, but God hasn’t left our side; we’ve been thrown down, but we haven’t broken. What they did to Jesus, they do to us—trial and torture, mockery and murder; what Jesus did among them, he does in us—he lives! Our lives are at constant risk for Jesus’ sake, which makes Jesus’ life all the more evident in us. While we’re going through the worst, you’re getting in on the best!

We’re not keeping this quiet, not on your life. Just like the psalmist who wrote, “I believed it, so I said it,” we say what we believe. And what we believe is that the One who raised up the Master Jesus will just as certainly raise us up with you, alive. Every detail works to your advantage and to God’s glory: more and more grace, more and more people, more and more praise!

So we’re not giving up. How could we! Even though on the outside it often looks like things are falling apart on us, on the inside, where God is making new life, not a day goes by without his unfolding grace. These hard times are small potatoes compared to the coming good times, the lavish celebration prepared for us. There’s far more here than meets the eye. The things we see now are here today, gone tomorrow. But the things we can’t see now will last forever. Amen!

Now that you have read and studied this powerful word of Jesus the Master, our hope is that it has been a blessing to your soul, and that you will use the instructions given to be an encourager in someone’s life this day.  Remember, you have the power to make a difference, the question is, will you?  We leave you with our peace for a prosper day in the name of Jesus, Amen.

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE READING THE DEBT HAS BEEN PAID

Christ foretells his death and resurrection. P...

Image via Wikipedia

THE DEBT HAS BEEN PAID (2 Cor. 5:14-21 MSG)

Our firm decision is to work from this focused center: One man died for everyone. That puts everyone in the same boat. He included everyone in his death so that everyone could also be included in his life, a resurrection life, a far better life than people ever lived on their own.

Because of this decision we don’t evaluate people by what they have or how they look. We looked at the Messiah that way once and got it all wrong, as you know. We certainly don’t look at him that way anymore. Now we look inside, and what we see is that anyone united with the Messiah gets a fresh start, is created new. The old life is gone; a new life burgeons! Look at it! All this comes from the God who settled the relationship between us and him, and then called us to settle our relationships with each other. God put the world square with himself through the Messiah, giving the world a fresh start by offering forgiveness of sins. God has given us the task of telling everyone what he is doing. We’re Christ‘s representatives. God uses us to persuade men and women to drop their differences and enter into God’s work of making things right between them. We’re speaking for Christ himself now: Become friends with God; he’s already a friend with you.

How? you ask. In Christ. God put the wrong on him who never did anything wrong, so we could be put right with God.

TEACHING YOUR TEENAGERS TO OVERCOME EVIL

Parents, you must know that evil is knocking at your front door, and its aim is very simple, to lure your teenage children into the pits of hell.  Today, we pause for a moment to share with you a very important lesson to help you protect your children from the pits of hell.  We all were teenagers ourselves at one point in our lives and we know just of difficult it can be trying to fit in with the crowd.  So we encourage you to share this message with your teenage children.

As a teenager, you must always be on guard of the evil that is lurking around the next corner.  Even your best friends can be your worst nightmare.  You will always be walking a tight rope trying to balance yourself in order that you may not fall from grace.  However, remember, it is only God’s grace, that you do not ever want to fall from.  Your friends cannot get you into heaven, but they can get you into prison.  They always have a map of how to get into prison, but once you are in, they do not know how to get you out.

Your very first lesson in protecting yourself from the evils of this world is to know the one person that will always have your back no matter what the circumstances may be.  That person is God and God alone.  Your friends will ridicule you for your beliefs, but you must not let that stop you from being protected from the evils of this world.  When your best friend says to you, let us get a gun and carry it for our protection.  You must know that arming yourself with a gun that can injury and even bring death to someone else is a very dangerous thing to do.  Although you want to remain friends with your friend, you must realize that at this point you are getting into a very serious and possible dangerous game.  The thing that you must do at this point is to rise above the level of thinking that your friend is truly your friend, and remember where you come from and why you are where you are today.  You did not get to where you are by yourself and now to turn around and start going in the wrong direction would be a fool’s way of doing a thing.  You are no body’s fool and you certainly were not raised to spend the rest of your life locked in a cage, chain and shackled like a wild animal unable to do or think for yourself.  But if you follow your friends way of doing things and arm yourself with his are her type of weapon, the route that you are taking will only lead to being caged up in some prison or death.

Instead of arming yourself with your friends type of weapon, ask your friend to pick up the sword.  Your sword is the Bible, the word of God.  You were trained how to use the sword from a very early age.  Now you have been given an opportunity to teach and train your friends how to use a different kind of weapon.  The kind that can protect you and him are she, from prison and the pits of hell and even bring you many years of joy and prosperity.  Do not be afraid to offer your friends your weapon of choice.  The one weapon can save both of your lives.  Be brave and come boldly before the throne of grace.  God is watching your every move.

The teenager’s sword:

When you are planning for the future…

Direct my footsteps according to your word; let no sin rule over me.  (Psalms 119:133)

When you are instructed by your parents…

Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. “Honor your father and mother” which is the first commandment with a promise, that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth.”  (Ephesians 6:1-3)

When you are speaking to others…

To slander no one, to be peaceable and considerate, and to show true humility toward all men. (Titus 3:2).

When you are choosing entertainment…

“Abstain from all appearance of evil”

(1 Thessalonians 5:22)

When you are participating in sports…

If anyone competes as an athlete, he does not receive the victor’s crown unless he competes according to the rules.  (2 Timothy 2:5)

When you are tempted to smoke…

Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s spirit lives in you?

(1 Corinthians 3:16).

When you are tempted to drink beer, wine or liquor…

“But Daniel resolved not to defile himself with the royal food and wine, and he asked the chief official for permission not to defile himself this way.”

( Daniel 1:8)

When you are choosing your companion…

Do not be yoked together with unbelievers.  For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common?  Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?  (2 Corinthians 6:14)

The Power to overcome your enemy

In all that you do, remember God is watching over you.  Your friends may say to you, but I have your back.  You must always remember, in times of great trouble, you are pressed against the wall and everything seems to be caving in on you, and there seems to be no way out, will your friends still be with you are will they just run away and leave you holding the bag?  That is a great question that you must always be asking yourself, and forever seeking answers to.  A real friend is one that will be with you always even until the end of time, and that friend is none other than Jesus Christ. Jesus said to us, “that in the time of trouble, he will never leave us are forsake us,” and that is a promise you can take to the bank where you know your check will never bounce.  He is also a friend that has assured us that we can call on him any time day or night and he will always be there waiting to answer our call.  He said when you call he will show you great and mighty power that you never dreamed that you had.  He will give you strength to over come evil and endure for another day.  That is the kind of friend, that you should want to be with you at all times.

Jesus wants you to be in control of your own destiny.  He wants you to be strong, bold and filled with love and power.  These are a few characteristic traits, that God provides His children that loves him.  He commands us to come boldly before the thorn of grace.  When we do this, we can be assured that the promise that he has given to us will always be fulfilled.  With Jesus on your side, you will never have to walk alone; you will never have to fear your enemy.  Listen to the promise Jesus has given us.  “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”  ( II Timothy 1:7 )   He has assured us that we have nothing to fear but fear itself.  We must always remain steadfast in our belief that we can do all things through God who strengthens us with his awesome powers.  He has also made a way that we can take total control of his awesome powers and use them to our advantage.  Here are some of the ways that you can do this by exercising spiritual virtues:  faith, virtue, knowledge, self-control, steadfastness, godliness, brotherly affection, and love.  When these are found in our lives we may have assurance that our calling and election for Christ is really real, and no arrow that is formed against us shall prosper.  Our enemy will flee from us because he knows that we have been endowed with powers that he cannot deal effective with.  These powers can only come from God.  No man can provide them for us, no matter how strong his armor may be.

Encouraging your friends

One of the many ways that we can be a real friend just as Jesus is a friend to us is by encouraging our friends to do what’s right and pleasing in God’s sight.  Our job is to always remain steadfast in our own faith although our friends may waiver and when they do we have the opportunity to show them that they too can be strong and grab hold of the power Jesus has given to you. Show them that God’s grace is sufficient for all.  When your friend rejects your encouragement, do not become angry with them, because angry is the devils way of separating you from the love of Christ.  Just continue to encourage them to stay strong and keep their hands in God’s hand, because God is the truth and the light.  He is the right way and the only way that will keep you from falling by the way side.

Listen to these very important words.  “In your angry do not sin, do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold  He who has been stealing must steal no longer, but must work, doing something useful with his own hands, that he may have something to share with those in need.”

“Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.  And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.  Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice.  Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” (Ephesians 4:26-32).
