Good Morning to all of you my dear Brothers and Sisters, and a happy and joyful Easter Resurrection Sunday Morning, Jesus is alive and well this Easter Sunday this “I BELIEVE,” my question is, “WHAT DO YOU BELIEVE?  For God so loved the world that He sent His only begotten son, that whosoever believe in him shall not die, but have everlasting life. (John 3:16)  Do you believe?  What an awesome gift of love that one person sacrificed his own life for the good of all our lives, took on the burden of all our sins that we may enjoy the fruits of this life and live on through eternity.  You ought to be lifting up your holy hands in high praise and thanksgiving to have this opportunity to say, “I thank you Lord, I love you Lord, I honor you Lord, I praise your Holy Name, because you are worthy to be praised.  Glory, glory hallelujah for the Lord is truly good.

NOW ENTER INTO THE LORD’S HOUSE OF PRAYER AND TOGETHER LET US PRAY FOR EACH OTHER:

LET US PRAY:

Most Holy and all wise God, our Heavenly Father, In the name of Jesus, the name that stands high above all other names, I lift you up in praise and honor this day for your mighty works and awesome power of love, giving freely of yourself that a dying world living in sin and dishonoring all that you have provided for us through the gift of Jesus Christ may live on through all eternity.  Father, how many ways can I say thank you, how many ways can I teach your children how to say thank you?  Sometimes in my spirit I feel lost for words when I think of all the suffering that your son Jesus had to endure for my sins and the sins of this world. I thank you Heavenly Father for allowing each of us to experience the reality of being a part of the resurrection this Easter Sunday Morning. My heart, and I am sure so many of your children’s hearts are heavy this morning, but as we come into the full knowledge and power of the truth of the wonderful teaching of Jesus Christ when he told us, that if you tear this house down, he would rebuild it in three days, this is the third day and he was truthful to his word when he rose up out of that tomb and this day, we as believers can truly say, Jesus is alive and He lives in us.  Thank you Father, for your marvelous gift of love to the world, for you are worthy to be praised, in Jesus name, Amen!

TODAY’ SCRIPTURE:  (John 20:24-25 MSG)

But Thomas, sometimes called the Twin, one of the Twelve, was not with them when Jesus came. The other disciples told him, “We saw the Master.”

But he said, “Unless I see the nail holes in his hands, put my finger in the nail holes, and stick my hand in his side, I won’t believe it.”

TODAY’ MESSAGE:  What do you believe?

Prepare your hearts and minds to receive the word.  Just click on the video and together lift up your holy hands and get your praises on.

IN THE RESURRECTION MARY MAGDALENE WAS THE FIRST PERSON TO SEE JESUS

Jesus resurrected and Mary Magdalene

Jesus resurrected and Mary Magdalene (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

Jesus was born of a woman, and in the resurrection it was a woman who Jesus first showed himself too.  This woman was one who loved Jesus very much.  Her name was Mary MagdaleneWe see Jesus humility in his resurrection, as well as in his crucifixionJesus did not rise and then march into the Temple to confront the religious leaders or Caiaphas; he did not dash to the Praetorium to say to Pilate, “I told you so!”; he did not go stand in the center of Jerusalem to impress the crowd.  Instead, Jesus revealed himself only to believers.  The first person to see him was a woman who had been healed and forgiven and who tearfully stayed at the cross and followed his body to the tomb.  As Jesus demonstrated throughout his life, he responded to those who waited attentively and faithfully.  Jesus dissolved the perplexities of the disciples.  He dried their tears.  He dispelled their doubts.  Jesus knows how similar we are to his original disciples, and he does not overpower us either.  Even though our faithfulness wavers, Jesus faithfully stays with us.

How did Mary become the first person to see Jesus?  Mary apparently followed Peter and John back to the tomb.  When the two disciples left, she was there alone, still crying, still hoping that somehow she could discover where Jesus’ body had been taken, but fearing the worst.  Then she saw two white-robed angels.  The angels actually looked like humans-not beings with halos and wings.  The angels had appeared to the women and then sent them to spread the good news that Jesus was alive, but apparently they were not in the tomb when Peter and John arrived.  Yet they are here again to speak to Mary.

They said to her, “Woman, why do you weep?”  Under normal circumstances this would seem to be an odd question.  People might be expected to be crying beside the tomb of a loved one.  However, the angels knew why the tomb was empty.  They also knew that if these people had listened to Jesus words about his resurrection while he was alive, they would not be sad and confused; instead, they would be leaping for joy.  So the angels question was not odd, but obvious.  It was not meant as a rebuke, but as a reminder of heaven’s perspective.  Mary simply answered the angels question with her fears, “They took my Master,” she said, “and I don’t know where they put him.” After she said this, she turned away and saw Jesus standing there. But she didn’t recognize him.

Jesus spoke to her, “Woman, why do you weep? Who are you looking for?”

She, thinking that he was the gardener, said, “Mister, if you took him, tell me where you put him so I can care for him.”

Jesus said, “Mary.” Suddenly, to her amazement, she stood face to face with her living Lord.  Jesus spoke her name, and immediately she recognized him.  Imagine the love that flooded Mary’s heart when she heard her Savior saying her name!

Turning to face him, she said in Hebrew, “Rabboni!” meaning “Teacher!”  Mary’s immediate response was to touch Jesus and cling to him.  But Jesus stopped her.

Jesus said, “Don’t cling to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. Go to my brothers and tell them, ‘I ascend to my Father and your Father, my God and your God.’”

Mary Magdalene went, telling the news to the disciples: “I saw the Master!” And she told them everything he said to her.  “John 20:11-18 The Message (MSG)

Jesus sent Mary Magdalene to them with the first post-resurrection testimony.  Though it may be that Mary was formerly a woman of ill-repute, this did not keep Jesus from commissioning her to bring the gospel message to the apostles.  Mary was well qualified to be the messenger that Jesus chose to do the work of the Kingdom.  Today, women are in leading roles that have been chosen for them by our resurrected Lord.  It is time that all of us recognize their roles and let the work that Mary Magdalene was doing be an example of how the women of the world have been called by Jesus.

We have ministered this EASTER MESSAGE to you today from the THRONE of GRACE.  I leave you with My Hope that you have had the opportunity to experience the abundance of Jesus love, strength and patience that He shared with all of us this EASTER WEEKEND.  In JESUS CHRIST, I remain your brother PASTOR DAVIS/MASTER TEACHER!

May each one of you receive a special blessing that is filled with an abundance of peace, love and joy this weekend.  Come back for our Easter Resurrection Praise and Worship Service which I will be preaching beginning at 0400.  The subject of our Resurrection message will be, “I BELIEVE!”

JESUS PERMITTED HIMSELF TO BE CRUCIFIED

JESUS PERMITTED HIMSELF TO BE CRUCIFIED

JESUS DIED FOR OUR SINS (PHOTO BY PASTOR DAVIS)

JESUS DIED FOR OUR SINS (PHOTO BY PASTOR DAVIS)

Man, in his lack of knowledge, his vague understanding of the justice of a loving Father, has made the grave a darkened sepulcher, a thing to be dreaded, and an end to all his aspirations and his ambitions. For ages he has feared this ending of physical existence and has made of it a time of intense mourning, a period filled with tears. BUT, this Great Spirit who had power over life and death permitted Himself to be crucified; He came to this Earth for that great purpose.

However, the question may be raised: If we claim that Jesus the Christ had power over His life, then why did he permit the great indignities and cruelties which were perpetrated upon Him and why did He not save Himself from this undignified and cruel death?

Now listen to what Jesus tells us about another man taking his life away from him.  Jesus tells us in John 10 these words, He says, “I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd gives his life for the sheep. Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life that I might take it again?  No man takes it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.” We find another statement given by the Christ after the crucifixion, after He had suffered death on the cross–when He had come back from the spiritual world to commune with His disciples. In the twenty-eighth chapter of Matthew, the eighteenth verse, He again claims the same power. “And Jesus came and spoke unto them, saying, all power is given unto me in heaven and in Earth.”

Jesus’ Victory over Death

“For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures” (1 Corinthians 15:3, 4).

We encourage you to stop in and visit with us daily, because from now until Easter Sunday Morning we will be presenting you with the story of the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.  I remain your brother in Jesus, PASTOR DAVIS/MASTER TEACHER!

IS THERE LIFE FOR MANKIND AFTER DEATH (PART 2)

IS THERE LIFE FOR MANKIND AFTER DEATH THE NEXT LESSON

THE TOMB COULD NOT CONTAIN HIM (PHOTO BY PASTOR DAVIS)

THE TOMB COULD NOT CONTAIN HIM (PHOTO BY PASTOR DAVIS)

In our last lesson we concluded with this last paragraph, “Our hope of deliverance from sin in this world (see Romans 6:4, 11, 12) and the reality of life in the next (1 Corinthians 15:17-23) are dependent upon the resurrection of Jesus. The incarnation of God’s Son, His sinless life and vicarious death, would have availed nothing if He had been kept a prisoner of death. The saints of all ages would remain in their graves, sealed forever, if Christ had not broken the power of death and come forth to immortal life. And Christians would have been “false witnesses about God, for we have testified about God that he raised Christ from the dead. But he did not raise him if in fact the dead are not raised” (1 Corinthians 15:15)!”

Do we understand what this mean for our new life?  Now I encourage you to pause your reading right here.  Go back and read this paragraph again, meditate on it, then pick up your Bible, read, study and meditate on these three scriptures before plowing deeper into this lesson.  We want you to fully understand and comprehend the depth and scope of these words and the fact that our new life depends totally on the resurrection of Jesus.

Now that you have read, studied and meditated on these scriptures, let’s move on and see how we are going to fit into OUR NEW SPIRITUAL BODY.  This should excite you greatly; it sends chills up my spine just to think how God has seen everything in the future and made plans for our eternal life cycle.

The Bible provides us with much hope for a future life, and Paul shares that hope with us, that there is truly LIFE AFTER DEATH in (2 Corinthians 5:1-2).  In these two beautiful verses we find these very important words: “For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven.”

In the fifteenth chapter of I Corinthians, Paul again preaches to those who have no faith in the LIFE AFTER DEATH. This wonderful chapter is used by the majority of MINISTERS to bring comfort and faith to those who have been bereaved by the loss of their loved ones. “It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.”  This should get you excited and make you want to shout and thank God for all he has done to plan for your continuation of LIFE AFTER DEATH.  If you truly believe in the word of God, there should be no doubt whatsoever in your mind about what God can and will do.

However, we discover in the days of old, man had no such hope for a LIFE AFTER DEATH.    During the old dispensation and all through the Old Testament, to him the grave ended all. We find such discouragement when we read the ninth chapter of Ecclesiastes, the fifth verse, where the statement is made, “For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not anything, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten.”  As we have moved forward into the teachings of Jesus and understanding his DEATH and RESURRECTION, we now know and can rejoice in a future hope of LIFE AFTER DEATH.

Let us pause this lesson right here and pick it up on the other side of midnight.  You must return again and again to truly understand just how greatly the DEATH and RESSURECTION of JESUS CHRIST affects us all in a very profound way.

I encourage you to think deeply on the Scriptures because there you will find the truth of God’s word and what he wants you to know and understand about his son’s LIFE, DEATH and RESSURECTION.  I have ministered to you on this day from a position of PEACE, POWER, PURPOSE and PROSPERITY.  I remain your brother in JESUS CHRIST, PASTOR DAVIS/MASTER TEACHER.

IS THERE LIFE FOR MANKIND AFTER DEATH (PART 1

IS THERE LIFE FOR MANKIND AFTER DEATH?

THE LIGHT THAT LEADS US FROM DARKNESS TO THE BRIGHTNESS OF GOD'S GLORY THE TUNNEL (PHOTO BY PASTOR DAVIS)

THE LIGHT THAT LEADS US FROM DARKNESS TO THE BRIGHTNESS OF GOD’S GLORY                       (PHOTO BY PASTOR DAVIS)

We begin today’s lesson not with one question, but two. The first question is this,  “IS THERE LIFE FOR MANKIND AFTER DEATH?”  The second question is, “IS YOUR FAITH BASED ON THE WORD OF GOD ARE SOMETHING ELSE?”  I consider both questions important for the overall discussion of the Death and Resurrection of JESUS CHRIST.

Therefore, as we begin our forward look towards Easter and the celebration of the life, death and resurrections of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, I find that there is no better time than now to ask these two very important questions, and have you the reader to examine your soul for the answer to a question that so many of us refuse to even consider bringing up in our family discussions.  I find this to be a sad commentary especially for believers.

Now as I was doing research for my book on “LIFE AFTER DEATH,” I came across this quote from another great writer, and it said, “Christianity,” “is a religion of the open tomb.” Keep that thought in mind as you study this lesson on the resurrection. The founder of Christianity could not be kept in the prison house of death. An angel rolled the great stone from the door of Joseph’s new tomb, and the Son of God came forth triumphant over death. “I am the resurrection and the life,” He said (John 11:25).

The apostle Paul argues that the Christian faith stands or falls upon the fact of the resurrection of Christ.

“If there is no resurrection of the dead, then not even Christ has been raised, and if Christ has not been raised, our preaching is useless and so is your faith” (1 Corinthians 15:13, 14).

Now let us understand this one very important truth, and that is this; Jesus came to this Earth to teach mankind a particular lesson; and if He was destined to become the Savior of mankind, then the greatest lesson which He could have taught man was that of faith; faith in his God and faith in a life after death.

THE TOMB OF DEATH COULD NOT CONTAIN HIM (PHOTO BY PASTOR DAVIS)

THE TOMB OF DEATH COULD NOT CONTAIN HIM (PHOTO BY PASTOR DAVIS)

By His very own death, Christ Jesus must bring to man faith, and the belief in a LIFE AFTER DEATH. He preached immortality, and to further impress this fact upon humanity, He must go through the throes of death in order to return to life and bring to man proof of an after death life. To accomplish this He appeared to His beloved disciples in His  spiritual body. In I Corinthians, 15:6, Paul says, “After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once: of whom the greater part remains unto this present, but some are fallen asleep.” He walked and talked to them so that they might believe that what He had preached, the immortality of the soul, was a fact and that after man has laid aside his physical body, he still lives in a finer and more ethereal body.

Our hope of deliverance from sin in this world (see Romans 6:4, 11, 12) and the reality of life in the next (see 1 Corinthians 15:17-23) are dependent upon the resurrection of Jesus.

We encourage you to open your mind and think deeply upon this lesson and the ones to come.  Our hope is that you who have not accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior find some comfort in these words as you continue to study with us here at VINE AND BRANCH WORLD MINISTRIES.  If you want SALVATION for your soul, you can have it right here and now.  Just stroll to the top of this page and click on SALVATION IS FREE, read it, accept it, and come to know Jesus as your Lord and Savior. There is HOPE in a continuous life beyond this life when you accept Jesus as the only one that can provide you with it.  We have presented this lesson to you today from a position of peace, power, purpose and prosperity.  I remain your brother in Jesus Christ, PASTOR DAVIS/MASTER TEACHER!

Now let us end this lesson for today with this short video clip.  Please return tomorrow for another great lesson on LIFE AFTER DEATH!

THE BIRTH OF A BABY CHANGED THE COURSE OF THE WORLD

THE BIRTH OF A BABY CHANGED THE COURSE OF THE WORLD

THE STAR OF DAVID (PHOTO BY PASTOR DAVIS)

THE STAR OF DAVID (PHOTO BY PASTOR DAVIS)

There were sheepherders camping in the neighborhood. They had set night watches over their sheep. Suddenly, God‘s angel stood among them and God’s glory blazed around them. They were terrified. The

BABY JESUS IN A MANAGER

angel said, “Don’t be afraid. I’m here to announce a great and joyful event that is meant for everybody, worldwide: A Savior has just been born in David‘s town, a Savior who is Messiah and Master. This is what you’re to look for: a baby wrapped in a blanket and lying in a manger.”  (Luke 2:8-12 MSG).

The birth of Jesus to a virgin is a miracle that many people find difficult to believe.

The Birth of Baby Jesus was the birth of a baby that changed the world.  Now watch this short video clip and allow yourself to be changed, then continue reading on the other side of this clip.

Jesus miracles, transfiguration, and resurrection were all actual, historical events that defy explanation.  They were acts of God in a human worldChristians faith, however, rests not on the virgin birth-indeed two of the four Gospels don’t even mention it.  Faith rests on the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, not on his virgin birth.  However, the virgin birth reveals two important facts.  (1)  In Jesus, God began a “new creation,” for through Jesus life, death, and resurrection, sin’s power would be broken.  In Jesus, people can come to God for a personal relationship and be freed from the power of sin(2)  Jesus was God’s son before he was even conceived in Mary’s womb.  He did not become God’s Son at a latter time.  He was not accepted as God’s Son because of good behavior or obedience.  He was not a man promoted to that position.  God’s Son was born “God’s Son.”  In the birth of Jesus, God himself became human and entered the world for fallen human beings!  Therein lies the miracle!  People are not meant to explain it, prove it, or ignore it-they are meant to believe it and worship God who made it happen.

We pray that the our CHRISTMAS Messages have touched your heart in some small way, that will allow you to reach out and share your blessings and joy in celebrating the birth of Our Lord and Savior with all those you come in contact with this CHRISTMAS SEASON.  Let it be filled with joy, praise and thanksgiving.  Because Jesus is truly the only reason for this season.

Please return for our very special SUNDAY MORNING PRAYER PRAISE AND WORSHIP SERVICE beginning at 0700 each SUNDAY MORNING.  May the Peace of our Lord and Savior be with you now and forever, AMEN!

JESUS LIFTED HIS EYES TOWARDS HEAVEN AND SAID FATHER IT IS FINISHED

JESUS LIFTED HIS EYES TOWARDS HEAVEN AND SAID FATHER IT IS FINISHED

WRITTEN BY SHIRLEY RHODES

GOD CREATED THE HEAVENLY SKIES

GOD CREATED THE HEAVENLY SKIES (PHOTO BY SHIRLEY RHODES)

As Jesus lifted His eyes towards heaven, His Mind and the Father’s Mind were connected as one Mind.  He was still teaching us in a moment of great stress to himself; He spoke these words, “Father, display the bright splendor of your Son, so your Son in turn may show your bright splendor. You put him in charge of everything human so he might give real and ETERNAL LIFE all in his charge.  That they know you, the one and only true GOD, and JESUS CHRIST whom you sent, I glorified you on earth by completing down to the last detail what you assigned me to do.

I spelled out in detail your character to the men and women you gave me.  For they are yours by right, everything mine is yours and yours is mine, my life is on display in them. I am no longer going to be visible in the world but they’ll continue in the world while I return to you. HOLY FATHER guard them as they pursue this life that you conferred as a gift through me, so they can be one heart and mind as we are one heart and mind. As long as I was with them in the pursuit of the life you gave them through me, I even posted a night watch and not one of them got away, except for the rebel bent on destruction (the exception that proved the rule of scripture).

Now I’m returning to you, I’m saying these things in the world’s hearing so my people can experience my joy completed in them. I gave them your word; the godless world hated them because of it, because they didn’t join the world’s ways. I’m not asking that you take them out of the world, but that you guard them from the Evil One. They are no more defined by the world than I am defined by the world; make them Holy–concentrate–with truth, your word is concentrating truth. In the same way that you gave me a mission in the world, I’m concentrating myself for their sakes so they will be truth concentrated in their mission.

I’m praying for not only them but also for those who will believe in me, because of them and their witness about me. The goal is for all of them to become one in heart and mind–just as you, Father, is in me and me in you so that they might be one heart and mind with us. Then the world might believe that you in fact sent me. The same glory you gave me, I gave them so they’ll be mature in this oneness and give the godless world evidence that you sent me and loved them in the same way you loved me.

Father, I want those you gave me to be with me, right where I am so they can see my glory, the splendor you gave me, having loved me long before there ever was a world. Righteous Father, the world has never known you, but I have known you and these disciples know that you sent me on this mission. I have made your very being known to them–who you are and what you do–and continue to make known so that your love for me might be in them exactly as I am in them” (John 17:1-26 MGS).   Now pause your thoughts and watch this short video clip of this prayer message.

This is truly the inflatable word of God as He raised His eyes towards heaven and spoken it directly to His Father in Heaven.  May you be blessed by the reading and understanding of what these words meant then and what they mean to you at this moment in time.  We wish you a Happy Easter Sunday Resurrection as you celebrate the Risen Savior of the World.

IS THERE LIFE FOR MANKIND AFTER DEATH PART 2

GOOD FRIDAY A DAY OF REFLECTION

GOOD FRIDAY A DAY OF REFLECTION

The Agony of being nailed to the cross (Photo by Pastor Davis)

Today, we as Christians celebrate this day as Good Friday, and what is Good Friday?  Good Friday is observed on the Friday before Easter Sunday. On this day Christians commemorate the passion, or suffering, and death on the cross of the Lord, Jesus Christ.

We at VINE AND BRANCH WORLD MINISTRIES along with millions of BELIEVERS from all around the world will observe this day as a day of REFLECTION.  Reflecting on the life, death and resurrection of JESUS CHRIST as well as our own individual lives.  Let us pause and meditate on the life and death of Jesus as we experience the pain and anguish that Jesus felt as He hung on the Cross and bore our sins and the sins of the World.   Now let us watch this short Video Clip and reflect upon what this day really means to us.

As Jesus hung there on the cross, nails in his hands, feet and side.  Thrones on his head, bleeding from head to toe, he was teaching us the lessons of LOVE, COURAGE, PATIENCE, UNDERSTANDING, FAITH, and FORGIVENESS.  He showed us that Strength is made perfect in weakness.  This next video clip is a short version of all that Jesus did for us.  Now reflect upon this.

In closing, let me make this one thing very clear, and that is this, “we are citizens of a city of God which we did not build and can never destroy, and that city stands on this day taller than anything that we can ever image in our small minds.”   Before His death, Jesus told us that if this temple was ever destroyed, he would rise up and rebuild it within three days.  No one at the time could imagine what He was talking about, because of the resurrection of CHRIST, we now live in that city of God that no man can destroy.  On this GOOD FRIDAY, let us reflect upon what Jesus did for us, and now what we can do for others.  This video clip will help take you to that special place that allows your heart to be filled with peace, joy, and love. Now watch and pray.

This is our day of PRAYER, MEDITATION AND REFLECTION, let us pray for each other, then reach out and express our love for each other.  I pray for you and you pray for me.  I remain your brother in JESUS CHRIST, PASTOR DAVIS/MASTER TEACHER!

MAN HAS MADE THE GRAVE A DARKENED SEPULCHER

JESUS PERMITTED HIMSELF TO BE CRUCIFIED

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE READING (GOD GIVES LIFE AND A FUTURE)

GOD GIVES LIFE AND A FUTURE (1Peter 3:5, 18-25 MSG)

1 Peter 3:5 (MSG)

4-6Cultivate inner beauty, the gentle, gracious kind that God delights in. The holy women of old were beautiful before God that way, and were good, loyal wives to their husbands. Sarah, for instance, taking care of Abraham, would address him as “my dear husband.” You’ll be true daughters of Sarah if you do the same, unanxious and unintimidated.

1 Peter 3:18-25 (MSG)

13-18If with heart and soul you’re doing good, do you think you can be stopped? Even if you suffer for it, you’re still better off. Don’t give the opposition a second thought. Through thick and thin, keep your hearts at attention, in adoration before Christ, your Master. Be ready to speak up and tell anyone who asks why you’re living the way you are, and always with the utmost courtesy. Keep a clear conscience before God so that when people throw mud at you, none of it will stick. They’ll end up realizing that they’re the ones who need a bath. It’s better to suffer for doing good, if that’s what God wants, than to be punished for doing bad. That’s what Christ did definitively: suffered because of others’ sins, the Righteous One for the unrighteous ones. He went through it all—was put to death and then made alive—to bring us to God.

19-22He went and proclaimed God’s salvation to earlier generations who ended up in the prison of judgment because they wouldn’t listen. You know, even though God waited patiently all the days that Noah built his ship, only a few were saved then, eight to be exact—saved from the water by the water. The waters of baptism do that for you, not by washing away dirt from your skin but by presenting you through Jesus’ resurrection before God with a clear conscience. Jesus has the last word on everything and everyone, from angels to armies. He’s standing right alongside God, and what he says goes.
