PUT A ZIPPER ON YOUR MOUTH AND LEARN TO LISTEN

PUT A ZIPPER ON YOUR MOUTH AND LEARNTO LISTEN

Zipper Mouth

WRITTEN BY DR.VIRGINIA MORGAN

Learning to listen to others requires much discipline, and discipline requires patience.  We have gotten so use to babbling that we forgot how to listen and understand what others are saying.  Now if you understood anything about those first two sentences, and are ready to listen to the words that are being  to spoken you today, you might be able to walk in the newest of life and find much more joy, peace, contentment and happiness in your relationships.

Our mouth and that little thing called our tongue gets us into a world of trouble at times.  If we would put a zipper on our mouth and be swift to listen and slow to speak, we can transform our lives in ways unimaginable at other times.  For believers, this is a lesson you must practice daily.  For non-believers, you must seek the Lord for guidance and salvation in order to begin the process, because God‘s perfect law must be put into practice in our speech.  Why? Because God’s law is truth, and the law sets people free.  It is only in obeying God that true freedom can be found.  As Christian’s, we are saved by God’s grace, and salvation frees us from sin‘s control, speaking and not listen.  As believers we are free to live as God created us to live.  Of course, this does not mean that we are free to do as we please.

Now let us clearly understand this one truth, and that is, we must be swift to listen and slow to speak.  The expression be quick to listen is a beautiful way of capturing the idea of active listening as it is taught in (James 1:19).  James explains to us that we are not simply to refrain from speaking; we are to be ready and willing to listen.  This “quick” listening is obviously to be done with discernment.  We are to check what we hear with God’s word.  If we don’t listen both carefully and quickly, we are liable to be led into all kinds of false teaching and error.

Quick to listen and slow to speak should be taken together as sides of the same coin.  Slowness in speaking means speaking with humility and patience, not with hasty words or nonstop babbling.  Constraint talking keeps a person from being able to hear.  Wisdom is not always having something to say, it involves listening carefully, considering prayerfully, and speaking quietly.  When we talk too much and listen too little, we communicate to others that we think our ideas are much more important than theirs.  James wisely advises us to reverse this process.  We need to put a mental stopwatch on our conversations and keep track of how much we talk and how much we listen.  When people talk to us, do they feel that their viewpoints and ideas have value?

Putting a zipper on one’s mouth and learning to listen requires the same set of skills as an athlete.  In order for an athlete to achieve greatest he must persevere in training in order to improve their abilities and endurance for competition, so do we, in order to persevere in spiritual training our senses need to be swift to listen and slow to speak, as we patiently endure testing that will bring maturity and completeness.

We must come to a point in our lives where we know that God’s long term goal for us is maturity and completeness, but his eternal goal for us is the crown of life, a rich expression of hope.  We can only arrive at this point we learn to be obedient to the word of God.  Know the truth and the truth will set you free.  Be swift to listen and slow to speak.  PUT A ZIPPER ON YOUR MOUTH AND LEARN TO LISTEN!

IS YOUR LEADERSHIP VISION CONSISTENT WITH GOD PURPOSE?

IS YOUR LEADERSHIP VISION CONSISTENT WITH GOD PURPOSE?

Jesus a visionary Leader-In-The-Wilderness-Ivan-Kramskoy

Few things are more important to effective leadership than a VISIONGodly leaders foresee something out there, vague as it might appear from the distance that others do not see.  Godly leaders who are followers of Christ must first have a VISION of who God is and the future he holds for them.  They must also have a sense of what God has called them to do.  Once they understand it, then they must take hold of the leadership role that has been given to them and begin to fulfill the role with a godly vision.

What is the focus of your life?  Are you a person of passion for the things of God, or is that passion just a sporadic experience for you?  If you had to describe the compelling treasure as a visionary leader in your life, what would it look like?

It is crucial for a leader to know how to identify and cultivate a personal vision.  However, where does such a visions originate?  When you are in God’s will, understand God’s purpose for your life and are truly ready to follow God’s directions, he will create in you the vision for His will and His purpose for your life.  When the Prophet Habakkuk was attempting to understand God’s purpose, he question God and this is what God told him to do, God said, “Write the vision; make it plain on tablets, so he may run who reads it. For still the vision awaits its appointed time; it hastens to the end—it will not lie. If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay.”  (Habakkuk 2:3-4 ESV)

In his book Visionary Leadership, Burt Nanus defines a VISION as “a realistic, credible, attractive future for your organization.  It is your articulation of a destination toward which your organization should aim, a future that is better, more successful, or more desirable for your organization than is the present.”  Nanus contends that the right vision “Is an idea so energizing that it in effect jump-starts the future by calling forth the skills, talents, and resources to make it happen.”

Over the course of his ministry, Jesus consistently cast an energizing vision of the coming kingdom of God.  He repeatedly described the character and conduct that would define
citizens of that kingdom.  The Lord’s vision was so compelling that the twelve disciples left everything to follow his lead.  Thousands of others also took their direction from him.

Yet, in spite of the Lord’s consistent message, the disciples had a hard time grasping the fact that ushering in the kingdom of God would require suffering.  When Jesus clearly explained his impending death, Peter rebuked him for making such an assertion.  He was probably shocked when the Lord abruptly turned the tables and said, “Get behind me, Satan!”  Peter’s problem was that he allowed his personal and self-centered agenda to box in God’s plan.  Ultimately, such self-serving visions are satanically inspired.

Leaders need to be sure their vision is consistent with God’s purpose.  Moreover, when cross currents threaten to sweep the vision into another channel, they must work to keep it heading in the right direction.  They cannot allow self-serving interests—their own or someone else’s—to distort their vision of the future and prevent God’s purposes from being fulfilled.  That is why we must continually ask the question, “IS YOUR LEADERSHIP VISION CONSISTENT WITH GOD PURPOSE?”

MY MOTHER TAUGHT ME THE LESSON OF FORGIVENESS

MY MOTHER TAUGHT ME THE LESSON OF FORGIVENESS

A Mother’s Arms (Photo by Pastor Davis)

MY MOTHER was truly an inspiration to my soul.  Whenever I felt someone had hurt me, she would simply say, “Son, don’t hold a grudge against them, you must find in your heart the words to forgive them.”  I would say, “but Mom, it hurts, how can I forgive them, they hurt me.”  Son, if you truly want to stop the pain, you must release it and let it go, forgiveness is the only way to your personal peace.

MY MOTHER was a godly woman, she loved and feared the Lord, and she made sure that I understood what she meant when she said I must forgive those who would seek to do harm to me. Now let me share with you the lesson MY MOTHER taught me on FORGIVENESS.  She begin by saying, “Son if the LORD can forgive us of our sins, why do we have such a difficult time of forgiving others when we perceive them to have done us wrong?  Getting rid of our heart aches and pains begins with us.  We must learn to free ourselves of all the negative baggage we carry around each and every day with our unforgiving spirit.

FORGIVENESS works the miracle of change.  When Lincoln was asked why he did not destroy his enemies, he replied:  “If I make my enemies my friends, don’t I then destroy them?”  When you forgive you change others and you change yourself.  You change discord to harmony.

FORGIVENESS should span the years.  You should first forgive yourself for the wrongs you’ve done to yourself and others, for the mistakes you’ve made.  Then you should forgive and bless all those who have wronged you during your lifetime.  Thus you release others and you release yourself.  You break the chains of regret and remorse that bind you.  You free your mind from the burdens of the past so you may walk victoriously into the future.

FORGIVENESS works two ways.  You must forgive to be forgiven.  “He who cannot forgive others,” wrote Edward Herbert, “breaks the bridge over which he himself must pass; for every man has the need to be forgiven.”

FORGIVENESS should become a habit.  When THE MASTER was asked how often we should forgive, he answered: “Until SEVENTY TIMES SEVEN.”  He who forgives to infinity will never hate.

FORGIVENESS should start now.  Putting off forgiving only deepens the wound.  Clinging to bitterness postpones happiness.  Life is short, time is fleeting.  Today is the day to forgive.

FORGIVENESS is the way to personal peace.  It is performing mental surgery in yourself, probing deep within to remove hurts, grudges and resentments.  It is forgetting wrongs as though they had never been.  It is flooding your mind with the powerful medicine of forgiveness that cleanses and heals.  It is discovering a serenity you’ve never known before.

Then with her big beautiful brown eyes, looking and penetrating deep into my soul, the softness of her voice changing, she said, “you may not understand all that I am telling you at this moment, but when the time is right it will all come to you and you will get it and use it to help your own children and others to understand that we all must learn the art of forgiveness.

So on this Mother’s Day weekend, I salute My Beloved Mother for teaching me the art of forgiveness.

My friend Bishop Paul Morton is one of the most anointed men of the Gospel I know.  When he stands before the throne of grace and pours out the word of God unto you, the power of God will move you in praise and worship.  Therefore, I encourage you to click on this video clip and Be Blessed with the anointing voices of the Children of God.

FAITH AND DOUBT CANNOT LIVE IN THE SAME HOUSE

FAITH AND DOUBT CANNOT LIVE IN THE SAME HOUSE

Faith and Doubt 02

Faith and Doubt the optimist and the pessimist

Faith and Doubt the optimist and the pessimist

My Brothers and Sisters, I encourage you this day to learn how to live and walk in faith.  Stop allowing faith to be a word that you use to try and convince others about your faith when your actions speaks with a different mindset, because truly I say to you this day, “FAITH AND DOUBT CANNOT LIVE IN THE SAME HOUSE!”

Now click on this short video clip and allow me to speak to you mind some words of wisdom that will further help clarify what this all really means to you.

Here is what James, the brother of Jesus tells us about Faith and Doubt; he says, “Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.”

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts, is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind. For that person must not suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways. (James 1:2-8 ESV)

BE PATIENCE IN THE MIDST OF TRAGEDY

BE PATIENCE IN THE MIDST OF TRAGEDY

PATIENCE IS LOVE (PHOTO BY SHIRLEY RHODES)

PATIENCE IS LOVE (PHOTO BY SHIRLEY RHODES)

Today we encourage the people from all around the world, to be patience in the midst of tragedy, in all you do and how you feel in regards to the tragedy that has unfolded in Boston, Mass in the past few days. The people of Boston and the World all have been struck by the Enemy of terror.  This Enemy had a dark and evil Spirit to set off a bomb in the middle of innocence people that would kill and injury so many people.  But let there be no mistake, our President and all the leaders that are involved in the mystery of solving this problem has promised us that the Enemy of Terror would feel the full weight of the American Justice System.

We can take comfort in the fact that our first responders, and the many heroes that rushed into chaos to help those that were injured, and now our hospitals, nurses and Doctors from around the world are still responding with courage and a Spirit that has shown the World the strength of the people of Boston and the American Spirit of all its Citizen.

Let us not forget this very important fact, and that is this enemy was truly a thief, and his aim was to take the lives of as many people as he possibly could.  In John 10:10, we see that Jesus warned us of this thief.  Jesus said, “A thief is only there to steal and kill and destroy. I came so they can have real and eternal life, more and better life than they ever dreamed of.”

Therefore, I encourage all of you, in all that you do, “BE PATIENCE!” Allow the authorities the time an opportunity to do their jobs.  Be informed by the facts and allow the WORD OF GOD to guide your hearts and minds in all things.

Finally, listen to how the word of God informs us to act, it says, “Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; fret not yourself over the one who prospers in his way, over the man who carries out evil devices! Refrain from anger, and forsake wrath!”
Fret not yourself; it tends only to evil, for the evildoers shall be cut off, but those who wait for the Lord shall inherit the land. (Psalm 37:7-9 ESV)  “BE PATIENCE IN THE MIDST OF TRAGEDY!”

Now let us continue to pray for the victims and their families in the Boston Tragedy.  When prayers go up, blessings come down.

THIS IS HOW YOU CAN OVERCOME MONDAY MORNING BLUES

THIS IS HOW YOU CAN OVERCOME MONDAY MORNING BLUES

FREE YOUR MIND AND BE FREE INDEED

GOD’S WILD AND BEAUTIFUL FLOWER GARDEN (Photo by Pastor Davis)

In the world today we find that people are filled with anxious desires to overcome their present lot in life. Anxieties are running deep in their veins, being faced with much lack of everything that this world has to offer and in their heart of hearts not being able to have the basics necessaries that GOD has promised to them that love and believe in the LORD.  Nevertheless, I say to all the people, know that God never makes a promise that he will not fulfill.  Just hold onto God’s unchanging hands and your storehouse will never be bare.  You see, God has provided the world with all the necessary things for man’s survival in this world.  Remember, there are three basics things that we need for our survival and they are; the air we breathe, the water we drink and the food we eat.  These three basics necessities, God provides them in great abundances’ and they are FREE and without germs are diseases.  FREE YOUR MIND AND BE FREE INDEED

But now I can just here you saying, “I need a job, and without a job how can I have food on my table for me and my family to eat, clothes for my children to wear, money to pay my mortgage and car note, money to keep the lights and gas on in my house, money to send my kids to college.  I will grant you these are important things to consider in helping offset some of these burdens that you are now facing, but are they really the most important things you need to do in order to have a healthy and prosper life style? Think deeply on this for a moment before you continue reading the rest of the story!

For further information about entering the job market and getting the job you desire, click on this link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=geK_yezaTKI

Now I say to you, listen carefully to what the word has to say about all of this, it says’ “If you decide for God, living a life of God-worship, it follows that you don’t fuss about what’s on the table at mealtimes or whether the clothes in your closet are in fashion. There is far more to your life than the food you put in your stomach, more to your outer appearance than the clothes you hang on your body. Look at the birds, free and

THE BIRDS OF THE SKY DEPENDS ON GOD FOR THEIR SOURCE OF ENERGY (PHOTO BY SHIRLEY RHODES)

unfettered, not tied down to a job description, careless in the care of God. And you count far more to him than birds.

“Has anyone by fussing in front of the mirror ever gotten taller by so much as an inch? All this time and money wasted on fashion—do you think it makes that much difference? Instead of looking at the fashions, walk out into the fields and look at the wildflowers. They never primp or shop, but have you ever seen color and design quite like it? The ten best-dressed men and women in the country look shabby alongside them.

“If God gives such attention to the appearance of wildflowers—most of which are never even seen—don’t you think he’ll attend to you, take pride in you, and do his best for you? What I’m trying to do here is to get you to relax, to not be so preoccupied with getting, so you can respond to God’s giving. People who don’t know God and the way he works fuss over these things, but you know both God and how he works. Steep your life in God-reality, God-initiative, God-provisions. Don’t worry about missing out. You’ll find all your everyday human concerns will be met.

“Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now, and don’t get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow. God will help you deal with whatever hard things come up when the time comes.  (Matthew 6:25-34 MSG)

You see, in this passage Jesus is trying to bring you into the realization that you are important to Him and you are free of all yokes and bondage of man’s rule over you.  It is not man that is going to provide you with the necessities of this life, but it is God who provides all of those who believe. DO YOU BELIEVE?

BALL AND CHAINS KEEP YOU IN BONDAGE...

BALL AND CHAINS KEEP YOU IN BONDAGE…

The first prerequisite of having the great abundances of this life is to be set FREE.  You have to remove the ball and chain from around your ankle.     Release the Spirit in your Mind and set it FREE of the bondage that is keeping you from having all the things that you desire in this world.  It is not that man is not providing you with a job to meet your basics needs that is hindering you from having.  It is your own thought process that is keeping you from having; your dependence upon another person to provide you with a job, when God has already told you to use your own thought process and you can have anything that you may desire.  Free your mind and be free indeed.  If the Son of God Sets You FREE, you must realize the greatest news of all and that is, “You are truly FREE.”  At a time when Jesus was speaking truth to power, this is what he said to the Jews and what he is saying to you and I right here and now, “Then Jesus turned to the Jews who had claimed to believe in him. “If you stick with this, living out what I tell you, you are my disciples for sure. Then you will experience for yourselves the truth, and the truth will FREE you.” (John 8:31-32 MSG)

These are the words of truth that were birthed in you from the beginning of time.  They are the words that will allow you to create that job that you are concern about in order to be in a position to meet your basic worldly needs.  They are the words that will bring about that change from the old man to the new.  They are the words that you can take to the cashier at your bank, present them with a check with whatever amount you desire at the time and be guaranteed it will be cashed with no questions asked.

Now is the time for you to learn how to properly use your Imagination to create within you all that God has already provided for you from the very beginning of time.  Click on this short Video Clip and discover the power of your Imagination.

You are the ruler of your life, the power given to you by the maker and creator of this world.  No man holds power over you but the one you give to hold such power.  And when you are ready to make the change and your determination is so great that you are willing to do whatever is necessary to be the true ruler of your life, the new person in you will show up and nothing can stop you from rising to take your place in this world of great abundance.  The time is now for you to, FREE YOUR MIND AND BE FREE INDEED!”

WELCOME TO OUR SUNDAY MORNING VIRTUAL CHURCH PRAYER, PRAISE AND WORSHIP SERVICE

JESUS SAID, "UPON THIS ROCK I WILL BUILD MY CHURCH" (PHOTO BY PASTOR DAVIS)

JESUS SAID, “UPON THIS ROCK I WILL BUILD MY CHURCH” (PHOTO BY PASTOR DAVIS)

Good Morning Children of God, it is Sunday Morning and that could mean only one thing and that it is time to lift our Holy Hands and Praise God and then Worship Him with all our Body, Soul and Mind.  It is time to get your Praise on.  No more fooling around, for God is good all the time, and all the time He is good and truly worthy of all our praises.

Let us begin this Sunday Morning Service by praying this prayer together:  Most Holy God, our Heavenly Father, we humble ourselves before you this morning with a song of praise and thanksgiving in our hearts. We seek your blessings over our life and the lives of our family, friends, relatives, our leaders and our Nation. We thank you for all that you have done that has brought us to this point in time. More importantly we thank you for what you are going to do as we journey forward this day. We ask that you give us our daily bread, and forgive us of our sins, and help us to have a humble heart as we forgive others who have sin against us.  We ask this in the name of your son Jesus, AMEN!

Now click on this first video clip and be blessed by the Prayer of Jabez as it is performed by Donald Lawrence Choir.

Now let us read this powerful Scripture together;

“TITLE” IT IS TIME FOR US TO WORSHIP IN THE SPLENDOR OF HOLINESS.  (PSALMS 96 ESV)

Oh sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord, all the earth! Sing to the Lord, bless his name; tell of his salvation from day to day.  Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous works among all the peoples! For great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; he is to be feared above all gods.  For all the gods of the peoples are worthless idols, but the Lord made the heavens. Splendor and majesty are before him; strength and beauty are in his sanctuary. Ascribe to the Lord, O families of the peoples, ascribe to the Lord glory and strength! Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name; bring an offering, and come into his courts! Worship the Lord in the splendor of holiness; tremble before him, all the earth!

Say among the nations, “The Lord reigns! Yes, the world is established; it shall never be moved;
he will judge the peoples with equity.” Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice; let the sea roar, and all that fills it; let the field exult, and everything in it! Then shall all the trees of the forest sing for joy before the Lord, for he comes, for he comes to judge the earth.

He will judge the world in righteousness and the peoples in his faithfulness. AMEN, AMEN, AMEN.  Don’t you feel the spirit of God moving through your body and mind, I thank God for you, I thank Him for the power of the Holy Spirit and how He is moving and lifting each of you up to that high place that He desires for us all to be.

Now pause for a moment and get your Bible out with your pen and paper and we are going to study the word from the Book of John chapter 14:1-8.  Click on this next video clip to begin our Sunday Morning Bible Study Worship Service.  This part is only nine minutes, so please watch it and be blessed.

The subject for our Bible Study is; “KNOWING!”  Do you know who God is, who you are and who you are in God?

It has truly been a great honor indeed for me to share the word of God with you this morning. Thank you for opening your hearts and mind to receive what God had planned for you this Sunday Morning.  Now take this message into the World and bless someone else this day and throughout this week.  Now let us continue to get our praise on as we close this Service for this moment with, “OH HAPPY DAY!”

Now let your day and week be one of joy and happiness.  Do not allow the devil to still your joy.  Remember, he is going to and fro in the earth and seeing who and what he can take down into the pits of hell with him.  We encourage you to stay focus and remain strong.  The race is not to the swift but to those who have the patience to endure.  May God’s Blessings be with you now and always, in Jesus name, AMEN! Remember, you can always go to our youtube video teaching channel, and on the left side of the page, click on playlist and you can watch all the videos that we feature here daily and a lot more that is never seen here.  We encourage you to click on the link below and discover a great blessing waiting just for you.

WE ARE MARVELOUSLY MADE

WE ARE MARVELOUSLY MADE

FORMED BY THE MOST AWESOME GOD IN OUR MOTHER’S WOMB

CREATED IN THE IMAGE OF GOD (PHOTO BY PASTOR DAVIS)

CREATED IN THE IMAGE OF GOD (PHOTO BY PASTOR DAVIS)

“Oh yes, glory Halleluiah, thank you Heavenly Father; you shaped me first inside, then out; YOU FORMED ME IN MY MOTHER’S WOMB. I thank you, High God—you’re breathtaking! Body and soul, I am MARVELOUSLY MADE! I worship in adoration—what a creation! You know me inside and out, you know every bone in my body; you know exactly how I was made, bit by bit, how I was sculpted from nothing into something. Like an open book, you watched me grow from conception to birth; all the stages of my life were spread out before you, the days of my life all prepared before I’d even lived one day.” Psalm 139:13-14 (MSG)

All that I am and all that I will ever be, God is. God created me in his own image, and likeness. Everything about me God knew before I was even formed in my mother’s womb. I know, without a shadow of doubt, that I am MARVELOUSLY MADE.

Now when we look in our Bibles, we see a picture of just how God begin the process in Genesis chapter 1 verse 2. In the (a) verse the Bible says this “let us make man in our own image, according to our likeness.” This is a very important statement, because God spoke with His team before we were created in our mother’s womb, how he would design His most important creature, and then bring them into the physical realm of life.  How awesome, a God this is, that we now serve.

GOD CREATED THE WORLD INSIDE OUR MOTHER'S WOMB (PHOTO BY PASTOR DAVIS)

GOD CREATED THE WORLD INSIDE OUR MOTHER’S WOMB (PHOTO BY PASTOR DAVIS)

When I think about how MARVELOUSLY MADE you and I really are, I see a picture of a newborn baby, in my mind’s eye. This baby is in his mother’s womb. In a speck of watery material smaller than that over the dot of this i, all the future characteristics of this child are programmed, the color of his skin, eyes and hair, the shape of his facial features, the natural abilities he will have. All that the child will be physically and mentally is contained the in germ form in that fertilized egg. From it will develop: …60 trillion cells, 100,000 miles of nerve fiber, 60,000 miles of vessels carrying blood around the body, 250 bones, to say nothing of joints, ligaments and muscles.

Lord I thank you because you formed my inward parts; you covered me while I was still in my mother’s womb. Today Lord I give you the praise, the glory, and the entire honor, because without you there will be no me. All glory belongs to you and you alone, thank you Lord, thank you, thank you, thank you, for you deserve all the praise and glory that my mind can muster up. I am just a small part of this great universe.

Today, as I look towards the heels, from which all my blessings flow, a think of the marvelous creation that you accomplished in my mother’s womb. While I was in my mother’s womb, you formed my inward parts; each one a marvel of divine engineering. I think of my brain, for instance, with its capacity for recording facts, sounds, odors, sites, touch, pain; with its ability to recall; with its power to make computations; with its seemingly endless flair for making decisions and solving problems.

When I think of who I am and what I am in this vast universal, I know without a shadow of doubt that I am a marvelous created man. Sometimes I stop and think of God’s careful planning in the creation of my spirit, my soul, and body. How precious, are his thoughts, his attention to the minutest detail. Each cell almost without exception knows its role in carrying out design a purpose for which the welfare of the body as a whole is so marvelous made.

Now in conclusion, I refer you to Psalms 66 verses one through five, which reads as follow. Make a joyful shout to God, all the Earth! Sing out the honor of his name; make His praise glorious. Say to God, how awesome is your works! Through the greatness of your power, your enemies shall submit themselves to you. All the Earth shall worship you and sing praises to you; they shall sing praises to your name. And see the works of God; he is awesome in his doing towards the sons of man.

Truly I say to you, these powerful words that keep rolling around in my head; what an AWESOME GOD we serve, thank you Heavenly Father for I know that I AM MARVELOUSLY MADE!

TODAY YOU ARE TRULY BLESSED AND HIGHLY FAVORED

TODAY YOU ARE TRULY BLESSED AND HIGHLY FAVORED

The Beautiful Trees of Nature (Photo by Pastor Davis)

Truly I say to you this day, in all that you do, lift up your eyes towards heaven and learn to thank God, honor God and to praise God daily, and watch Him fill you with knowledge and power, as He lifts you out of darkness and into His Marvelous light with the understanding that, “TODAY YOU ARE TRULY BLESSED AND HIGHLY FAVORED,” and you will begin to experience his blessing and His anointing favor over your entire life.

Praise the Lord! Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heavens! Praise him for his mighty deeds; praise him according to his excellent greatness! Praise him with trumpet sound; praise him with lute and harp! Praise him with tambourine and dance; praise him with strings and pipe! Praise him with sounding cymbals; praise him with loud clashing cymbals! Let everything that has breath praise the Lord! Praise the Lord! (Psalms 150 ESV)

How is this possible, because the Bible speaks clearly and says this, “Blessed is the man who fears the Lord, who greatly delights in his commandments?  His offspring will be mighty in the land; the generation of the upright will be blessed.  Wealth and riches are in his house, and his righteousness endures forever. Light dawns in the darkness for the upright; he is gracious, merciful, and righteous. It is well with the man who deals generously and lends; who conducts his affairs with justice. For the righteous will never be moved; he will be remembered forever.

He is not afraid of bad news; his heart is firm, trusting in the Lord. His heart is steady; he will not be afraid, until he looks in triumph on his adversaries. He has distributed freely; he has given to the poor; his righteousness endures forever his horn is exalted in honor. The wicked man sees it and is angry; he gnashes his teeth and melts away; the desire of the wicked will perish! (Psalms 112 ESV)

Yes my friends, when you awaken this morning, you were truly blessed and highly favored.  For God allowed you to open your eyes and absolve all the beauty and grace that your mind could comprehend.  Nothing was off limits to you.  Whatever choice you made this day was yours and yours alone. For the Bible clearly tells us, “choose this day who you will serve.” But for me and my family, I choose to serve and follow Jesus.

You must taste the happiness, and know by personal experience the blessedness of having Jesus in your heart.  Then His Spirit of holiness and humility, of love and self-sacrifice, and of courage and power will become as natural as your own spirit.

Your life this day is a blessing to God, to your family, to your friends, to your community, to your church and all those that God has placed in your pathway.  You are the head and not the tail, your life is flowing like a mighty river as its waters flow towards the sea, you are blossoming and becoming more beautiful, loving and kind heart, like the most beautiful roses that blossoms and spreads its beauty and aromas for the world to partake off.  Your family, friends and co-workers see you in a brand new light. You have tasted the spirit of freedom, and the Holy Spirit is now dwelling and stirring deep within your soul. Your true nature and limitless spirit now sours high above the clouds like a giant eagle when he has mastered the freedom of flight.  Now you know without a shadow of doubt that it was no one but God that shook you, awaken you, opened your eyes, lifted you out of that bed, and spoke these words to you in a crystal clear voice as He said, TODAY YOU ARE TRULY BLESSED AND HIGHLY FAVORED!”

A DONKEY GETS ANIMAL JACKED

A DONKEY GETS ANIMAL JACKED

AS JESUS MAKES PLANS FOR HIS FINAL DAYS ON EARTH

What plans would you be making, if you knew that within a few days you would no longer be living a physical life on this earth?  Now let us look carefully at a MASTER PLANNER as he carefully plans the last few hours of his life.  He leaves no stone unturned, every detail is carefully thought out, something that we all should take notice of when making any plans for our own lives.

This is how the story goes: “When they were getting near to Jerusalem, to Bethpage and Bethany at the Mount of Olives, He sent ahead two of His disciples, and instructed them, “Go into the village in front of you, and as soon as you enter it, you will find a colt tied, which has never been ridden by anyone; unfasten it and

DONKEY TIRED UP 01

DONKEY TIRED UP 01

bring it [here].”

What an amazing bold move this master planner makes.  I say bold move because he tailored made the specification that this should be a colt that has never been ridden, and he instructed his team to just walk in untie the animal and just take it.  Can you imagine a stranger coming into your city today, while you are at the mall shopping unlocking your car door, jumping in and preparing to drive off?  This scene would amount to carjacking and you would be calling 911 and then doing everything within your powers to prevent your car from being taken.

Now listen to how this master planner instructs his team to deal with the situation once they are confronted with the actions they are about to take, he says to them, “If anyone asks you, Why are you doing this? Answer, the Lord needs it, and He will send it back here presently.”  Could you be this bold and instruct your friends to go to that mall and highjack a car for you?  I do not think so, but in this case, this master planner was well known.  Everyone coming to Jerusalem for the Passover feast had heard of him, and He knew that Donkeys and their colts were very valuable animals, and if they did not handle the situation just right, they could be accused and prosecuted for animal jacking.

So they went away and found a colt tied at the door out in the [winding] open street, and they loosed it. And some who were standing there said to them, what are you doing, untying the colt?  And they replied as Jesus had directed them, and they allowed them to go.  And they brought the colt to Jesus and threw their outer garments upon it, and He sat on it.  And many [of the people] spread their garments on the road, and others [scattered a layer of] leafy branches which they had cut from the fields. And those who went before and those who followed cried out with a cry of happiness, Hosanna! [Be graciously inclined and propitious to Him!] Praised and blessed is He Who comes in the name of the Lord! Praised and blessed in the name of the Lord is the coming kingdom of our father David! Hosanna (O save us) in the highest [heaven]!

Christ’s coming into Jerusalem thus remarkably, shows that he was not afraid of the power and malice of his enemies. In fact, the enthusiasm of the people when Jesus entered Jerusalem on a donkey alarmed the religious leaders.  This would encourage his disciples who were full of fear. In addition, that he was not disquieted at the thoughts of his approaching sufferings. Nevertheless, all marked his humiliation; and these matters teach us not to mind high things, but to condescend to those of low estate.  Pause for a moment an watch this very short video clip of Jesus triumphantly entrance into Jerusalem and then continue reading on the other side.

Because Jesus knew all things and lived, his life according to what scripture had spoken of, and the people knew that Jesus was fulfilling prophecy.  The Prophet Zechariah had spoken of such a moment taking place.  This is what he had said, “Rejoice greatly, O Daughter of Zion! Shout aloud, O Daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your King comes to you; He is [uncompromisingly] just and having salvation [triumphant and victorious], patient, meek, lowly, and riding on a donkey, upon a colt, the foal of a donkey.  (Zechariah 9:9)

FINDING OUR WAY OUT OF DARKNESS

FINDING OUR WAY OUT OF DARKNESS

WRITTEN BY SHIRLEY RHODES

FINDING OUR WAY OUT OF DARKNESS THROUGH THE THICK FOG OF LIFE (PHOTO BY SHIRLEY RHODES)

FINDING OUR WAY OUT OF DARKNESS THROUGH THE THICK FOG OF LIFE (PHOTO BY SHIRLEY RHODES)

Finding Our Way out of Darkness is like entering a maze, at every junction you’re apt to encounter a stumbling block in the path but you know that unless you regroup and keep searching for the exit you’re apt to wander about for a mighty long time unless intervention (someone else) becomes part of the process. The same is with our earthly lives as we are about our journey each moment in time as purposed by God. In order to find our way out of darkness we must follow the process and grab hold of the eternal message and promise of Jesus Christ and his sacrifice that is able to set us free.

THE PROCESS:

Hear the message, believe through faith, and accept the invitation to become a part of the intricate weaving of the pattern, by doing so a world of light opens which is the key to finding your way out of darkness. Jesus has given us the key to Finding Our Way out of Darkness, all we have to do is be willing and obedient to his call and follow his light into life.

Many might ask, “How does the process work, especially when we don’t know the way? How do we gain access to the key for finding our way out of darkness?”

The massager sent by God is chosen:  Hear the message, believe, confess and accept the teachings of the Holy Scriptures. God has a plan for all his children and it is not his desire that any should be left out of all he has to offer. God is all strength for his people, ample refuge for his chosen leaders (Psalms 28:8 MGS).

Finding Our Way out of Darkness requires us to humble ourselves in the presence of God and totally surrender those things that hinder a relationship with him. The scriptures gives us this part of the plan; how to make the approach to become whole.

How can people call for help if they don’t know who to trust? How can they know who to trust if they haven’t heard of the One who can be trusted? How can they hear if nobody tells them? How is anyone going to tell them unless someone is sent? As it is written, how beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace and bring glad tidings of good things.

So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. The word of faith is that; if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart God have raised him from the dead, you shall be saved. For the scripture says that whoever believes on him shall not be ashamed, anyone that calls on the Lord shall be saved.

The word of faith is the key given for finding our way out of darkness because the word of faith that saves is near you; as near as the tongue in your mouth; as close as the heart in your chest. The word of God welcomes God to go to work and set things right for us (Romans 10:8-17 KJV/MGS).

Listen to what Isaiah says; “Listen to me, all of you who are serious about right living, look to the rock from which you were cut, and to the hole of the pit from which you were dug.

Revelations flows from me, my decisions light up the world. I’ll bring justice to the people, my salvation will last forever”(Isaiah 51:1-6).

As we journey through this earthly realm let us be reminded that there is hope even when finding Our Way out of Darkness.

Now let remember, that God is light and in Him there is no Darkness.  Let us learn to live in the light, and always let the light that is in us shine through to the outside, so that those we meet daily will see that bright shinning light all around us.  When we are full of light, the devil will flee from us because he loves Darkness and in all he does, he try’s to keep us in Darkness.  Click on this short video clip and experience God’s marvelous light as it shines daily and lights up the Universe.

May God’s peace and blessings be yours to enjoy this day and throughout your life, in Jesus name, AMEN!

PUT ON THE WHOLE ARMOR OF GOD THIS IS YOUR DAY OF BLESSINGS

PUT ON THE WHOLE ARMOR OF GOD THIS IS YOUR DAY OF BLESSINGS

THE CROSS IS THE HEART OF GOD (PHOTO BY PASTOR DAVIS)

Good Morning to all God’s people where ever you may be, it is Monday Morning, the beginning of a brand new week.  As you leave your homes and families and begin your journey to execute the task that you have been given, we want you to be encouraged by the word of God, with His entire blessings of love, peace and power, to overcome the many trials and tribulations that will come upon you this day. “PUT ON THE WHOLE ARMOR OF GOD!”

We encourage you, in all that you may do, too know the truth, know the word and use it as your weapon to fight evil wherever it may exist.  For this is truly a brand new day that God has made for you and I want you to rejoice and be glad in it.  He has chosen each one of you for a very specific task this week and he has given you a purpose for carrying it out, and pointed you in the right direction that will enable you to be successful on your all important assignment.

Now finally, the people of God, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might.  Put on the whole armor of God that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.

Therefore take up the whole armor of God that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one; and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of Godpraying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication.

To that end keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints, and also for me, that words may be given to me in opening my mouth boldly to proclaim the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains, that I may declare it boldly, as I ought to speak.  (Ephesians 6:10-20 ESV)

Now have no doubts that the devil is waiting to take you down, and keep you from receiving your crown, but the choice is yours, obey the word of God and the devil can never be in charge. PUT ON THE WHOLE ARMOR OF GOD.  We bless this word to you this morning that you will receive it in the manner that it is given and share it with all those that you love as a word of encouragement and protection of their souls, in Jesus name, AMEN!

Finally, let me ENCOURAGE you this day to allow God to fill your days and weeks with OPTIMIST as you grow in His grace.  Know in your heart that all things are possible for those who can believe in the possibilities of a greater tomorrow.  Click on this short video clip and listen carefully to how you can become a true optimist and discover many possibilities of your true greatness.

HEAVENLY FATHER, in the name of Jesus, I seek your blessings over all your servant’s who begin this day’s journey full of excitement, energy, hope and a desire to make a difference in the lives of other, by  laboring in your VINEYARD OF PROSPERITY.   You said in your word, that if we would abide in you, you would abide in us, and we would become great FRUIT BEARERS.

So today HEAVENLY FATHER, as we look out into the world we discover that the harvest is ripe, but the labors to gather in this great harvest is few in numbers.

We pray HEAVENLY FATHER, that those that continue to live with IDLE MINDS, wondering where their next meal will come from, are how they are going to meet their financial obligations; that you will stir up the GIFTS that you have already shared with them.  Show them HEAVENLY FATHER, that there is still plenty of work to be done, and all they need to do, is shift their IDLE MINDS from a neutral position and begin to engage with the positive minds that are around them.  Then they will immediately begin to see a change take place in their lives as their spiritual eyes are open to the abundant harvest that is ripening daily in the VINEYARD.

Now bless their IDLE MINDS this day HEAVENLY FATHER, provide them with an opportunity to begin to experience an abundant life that is filled with love, joy and peace as they drink from the Spiritual Fountain that will never again allow them to thirst.  We ask you to honor this prayer in the name of Jesus, AMEN!

Now let us all continue to see the beauty in all that God has created, as we pray for our Nation, our leaders and each other.  Pray that God will pour out a blessing over all.  Be Encouraged and enjoy the abundance of all that God has blessed in your hands this day.

GOD SHOWS US THERE IS MYSTERY EVERYWHERE

GOD SHOWS US THERE IS MYSTERY EVERYWHERE

WRITTEN BY SHIRLEY RHODES

MYSTERY EVERYWHERE THE TREES BUDDING THE BIRDS SINGING (PHOTO BY SHIRLEY RHODES)

MYSTERY EVERYWHERE THE TREES BUDDING THE BIRDS SINGING (PHOTO BY SHIRLEY RHODES)

I begin my day as I do in most days with a brisk walk in the early morning dew.  As I walk, I see the MYSTERY OF GOD EVERYWHERE, and in everything.  The birds chirping and singing praise, the trees budding, and the freshness of the morning air enters my body, lifts my spirits and brings joy and excitement to my soul like nothing else I have ever experience before.  Nothing but THE MYSTERY OF GOD EVERYWHERE!

The dictionary describes the word MYSTERY as, “a religious truth that one can know only by revelation and cannot fully understand.”

As I sit and looked at my computer screen, my mind was deep in thought watching each blink of the cursor urging me to begin writing something. I ask God, “to let it be with me, feed me with strength and endurance, give me knowledge wisdom and understanding of things I cannot see, because I know your MYSTERY IS EVERYWHERE. At any given moment LORD, make me at home in your WORD, my plea.”

There will come a point in our lives when we will come to realize that the “WORLD” we live in is not a neat tidy place in which we are able to gain control on our own, without God we are useless, nothing.  It is part of THE GREAT MYSTERY!

THE GREAT MYSTERY OF THE EARLY MORNING SUNRISE (PHOTO BY SHIRLEY RHODES)

THE GREAT MYSTERY OF THE EARLY MORNING SUNRISE (PHOTO BY SHIRLEY RHODES)

What we experience from a “WORDLY” perspective are situations we encounter in some way daily; suffering, injustice, ugliness in attitude and behaviors, pain, poverty, abuse, just a few of what the “WORLD” offers sin-starved cluttered minds of IMIGATION.

The beauty in all of this is that in God’s World, we are able to find love and forgiveness, release from our short-comings. God’s World offers grace, freedom, mercy, joy, sacrifice, love…everything is included in his love, relationship, teaching/training, and correction/discipline, loving and saving us all the way until we are finally able to comprehend the fullness of the MYSTERY EVERYWHERE in his presence.

Chosen of God: When we are open and willing to accept Christ and his teachings, we share in the MYSTERY EVERYWHERE, which surrounds us. Until we come to know and operate within the principles of his teachings we are unable to reach fulfillment. Unless we open our hearts and minds, it’s easy to misunderstand how God works, how we become part of his secured possession.

What we must realize is that the “root” of a solid spiritual life is embedded in our relationship between people and God; we are no longer our “separate self” we are all “interconnected” in some way.

Everything we do, think or feel is who we are in Christ; we often seek a religion or faith that gives us access to God, expecting to do so with-out having to be “bothered” with people  or only” bothered when we so desire”. That’s the beauty of the MYSTERY EVERYWHERE, our very existence is composed and shaped by all we are able to see, touch, hear, taste and smell. So we are in the presence of God, the MYSTERY EVERYWHERE when we are open and ready to receive such gifts that are from above, not “man-made”. We learn to live our earthly existence in expectancy of what is yet to come, that’s the exciting part of our reality, it is therefore most advisable to stay centered and remain focused because we know “Joy” waits for all willing to become a part of the pattern.

In order to share in the MYSTERY EVERYWHERE, we must learn to release, to let go of negative thoughts and things that tend to pull you of course, reaffirm these thoughts as you journey: “I release my spirit into the wind, where there are no boundaries or obstacles, to freely soar above the worldly elements that threaten to drain the very source that gives life. I soar free in spirit interacting with those that welcome me as I am, dear Lord, let it be with me just as you say, allow me to share in the MYSTERY EVERYWHERE; where-ever I may journey, uninhibited, unrestrained.”  Thank you Heavenly Father, for allowing me to see and be a part of your MYSTERY EVERYWHERE!  Today, my soul is FREE and I lift up my hands, rejoice, worship and praise you.

Thank you for visiting, reading and studying with us; may you enjoy the natural beauty of God’s Mysteries Everywhere in all that you do each and everyday.  Click on the link below and visit our youtube teaching channel:  http://www.youtube.com/davistheteacher/

RECOGNIZING YOUR REAL SELF AS BLESSED

BY FAITH YOUR BLESSINGS WILL FLOW WITHOUT CEASING

“He that believeth in me, out of his heart shall flow rivers of living water.”

The River of Life (Photo by Pastor Davis)

Jesus replied, I am the Bread of Life. He who comes to Me will never be hungry, and he who believes in and cleaves to and trusts in and relies on Me will never thirst any more (at any time).

(John 6:35) (AMP) Christ shows that he is the true Bread; he is to the soul what bread is to the body, nourishes and supports the spiritual life. He is the Bread of God. Bread which the Father gives, which he has made to be the food of our souls. Bread nourishes only by the powers of a living body; but Christ is himself living Bread, and nourishes by his own power.

He who believes in Me [who cleaves to and trusts in and relies on Me] as the Scripture has said, From his innermost being shall flow [continuously] springs and rivers of living water. (John 7:38) (AMP) Can anything that is full become still fuller?  Yes, undoubtedly it can become so full that it always overflows.  This thirst means strong desires after spiritual blessings, which nothing else can satisfy; so the sanctifying and comforting influences of the Holy Spirit, were intended by the waters which Jesus called on them to come to Him and drink. The comfort flows plentifully and constantly as a river; strong as a stream to bear down the opposition of doubts and fears.  Click on this short video clip, watch and meditate on what this verse means to you.

This is what our Lord promises to His believing disciples.  At the outset, faith in Him gives them the blessing that they will never thirst.  However, as they advance and become stronger in the faith, it makes them a fountain of water out of which streams flow to others.  The Spirit who at first only fills us will overflow out of us to souls around us.

THE RIVER OF LIVING WATERS (PHOTO BY PASTOR DAVIS)

THE RIVER OF LIVING WATERS (PHOTO BY PASTOR DAVIS)

The rivers of living water can be compared with many fountains on earth.  When we begin to open them, the stream is weak.  The more the water is used, and the more deeply the source is opened up, the stronger the water flows.  In the realm of the spiritual life, let us discover what is necessary to secure the fullness of the Spirit constantly flowing from us.  Several simple directions may help us in reaching this knowledge.

Truly, you know what the Scripture says, “All the promises of God in him are Yea, and in him Amen, to the glory of God by us” (2 Corinthians 1:20).  When the Lord spoke of rivers of living water, He connected the promise with faith in Himself:  “He that believeth in me, out of his heart shall flow rivers.”  If we only understood that word “believeth” rightly, we would require no other answer than this to the question as to how the blessing may be increased.

Faith is primarily a seeing by the Spirit that Jesus is nothing but a flowing fountain of the divine love.  The Spirit Himself always flows from Him as the bearer of the life that this love brings and that always streams forth in love.  Then it is an embracing of the promise, an appropriation of the blessing as it is provided in Christ, a resting in the certainty of it, and a thanking God for what He is yet to do.

Thereafter, faith is keeping the soul open so that Christ can come in with the blessing, take possession, and fill all.  Faith becomes the most fervent and unbroken communion between the soul in which Christ obtains His place and is enthroned in the heart.

Learn the lesson that, if you believe, you will see the glory of God.  Let every doubt, every weakness, every temptation find you trusting, rejoicing, and reckoning on Jesus always to work all in you.

A believer can encounter and strive against sin in two ways.  One is to endeavor to ward it off with all his might, seeking his strength in the Word and in prayer.  In this form of conflict, we use the power of the will.  The other is to turn at the very moment of the temptation to the Lord Jesus in the silent exercise of faith and say to Him:  “Lord, I have no strength.  You are my Keeper.”

This is the method of faith.  “This is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith” (1 John 5:4).  Jesus, who is in Himself the one thing needed, can maintain the work of His Spirit in us.  By exercising faith without ceasing, the blessing will flow without ceasing.

Christ must be all to us every moment.  It is of no avail to me that I have life on earth unless that life is renewed every moment by my breathing fresh air.  Even so God must actually renew and strengthen the divine life in me every moment.  He does this for me in my union with Christ.  Christ is simply the fullness of God, the life of God, and the love of God prepared for us and communicating itself to us.  The Spirit is simply the fullness of Christ, the life of Christ, and the self-communicating love of Christ surrounding us as the air surrounds the body.

Let us believe that we are in Christ, who surrounds us in His heavenly power, longing to make the rivers of His Spirit flow forth through us!  Let us endeavor to obtain a heart filled with the joyful assurance that the Almighty Lord will fulfill His word with power.  Our only choice is to see Him, to rejoice in Him, and to sacrifice all for Him.  Then His word will become true:  “He that believeth in me, out of his heart shall flow rivers of living water.”

May our peace, love and blessings rest with you now and forever, in Jesus name, we pray, Amen.  I remain your brother in Jesus Christ, Pastor Davis!

WE SHOULD CONSIDER OURSELVES BLESSED

WE SHOULD CONSIDER OURSELVES BLESSED

WRITTEN BY SHIRLEY RHODES

Today, as we begin studying this lesson, pause your thoughts for a moment and think deeply on how blessed you are to be right where you are at this very moment in time.  Now understand that all of our Blessings are a gift from God, learning to recognize the vastness of his love and generosity enables us to find pleasure in praise and thanksgiving as we show gratitude and appreciation; each hurdle triumphed, is reason enough to be thankful, in so doing we should consider ourselves blessed.   Jesus taught many principle’s about blessings and by following that pattern we are able to grasp the light that leads us from moments of darkness we sometimes face, to the brightness of his glory.

THE LIGHT THAT LEADS US FROM DARKNESS TO THE BRIGHTNESS OF GOD'S GLORY (PHOTO BY PASTOR DAVIS)

THE LIGHT THAT LEADS US FROM DARKNESS TO THE BRIGHTNESS OF GOD’S GLORY (PHOTO BY PASTOR DAVIS)

Jesus says, “You’re blessed when you’ve lost it all, God’s kingdom is there for the finding. You’re blessed when tears flow freely, joy comes in the morning. Every time someone cuts you down, smears and blackens your name,” count it all joy, others sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ have been treated with acts of hate due to their own ignorance or lack of will to understand the pattern, its true meaning. Those who are able to grasp the richness of it all, I can truly say, we should consider ourselves blessed.

Following the pattern is not without sacrifice in this earthly journey, trouble is all around and where-ever we find ourselves,  we must  remember to stay focused, keep your eyes on the prize, because we’re in a race for our very souls. If you are satisfied with yourself, trouble is ahead; your “self” will not satisfy you for long. Living for the approval of others, doing what indulges them is as if you’re in a contest to win favor, remember our task is to be true, not popular. We should consider ourselves blessed once we’ve been chosen to share in the “promise” which is available to all who are hungry, seeking truth and righteousness.

Sometimes we may find ourselves drifting away like the wind, avoiding our true selves while the gentle voice of Jesus whispers come on back home, surrender, give up the fight, lift your eyes toward the heavens my child, you are the love of my life, then we should consider ourselves blessed.

Stir up the fallow ground (cultivate the soil), and let go of the “old order”, disobedience, mistrust, spiritual disorder-malice, envy, hurtful talk/attitude. Seize the “new order”, rebuild, renew, and respond to the offer of “Love Unconditionally.”  As you realize that our Blessings are a Gift from God, and they encourages each of us to allow the Holy Spirit to be our guide; we become alert, alive, listening, agreeable, lovable  and humble and filled with compassion. We Are Surrounded by the Presence of God!  At this very moment, we should be able to lift up Holy Hands, praise God, thank God and shout glory hallelujah!

When your faith kicks in and your mind has conceived these thoughts, then you will understand just how blessed you really are at this very moment.  You come into the full knowledge and understanding, that it was nothing but God’s grace and mercy that has allowed you to be in this exact place at this very moment.

Now listen up, to God’s anointing over your life, He says to you, “Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in the lawof the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers. The wicked are not so, but are like chaff that the wind drives away.” (Psalm 1:1-4 ESV)

GOD CALLED MOSES THE EXODUS STORY CONTINUES PT.1

GOD CALLED MOSES TO GO AND RESCUSE HIS PEOPLE FROM SLAVERY (PART 1)

Baseball Terminology is used to strikeout Pharaoh

Today, we continue with the EXODUS STORY.  In the next several lessons we will present you with the entire story.  We encourage you to come and study this very important story with us and invite your friends to do the same.

God’s call went out to Moses while Moses was on the back side of the mountain tending to Jethro flock.  We know that from Acts 7:23 that Moses was forty years old when he visited his own people.  His killing the Egyptian was ill-advised; his zeal outran his discretion.  God would one day use Moses to deliver his people from the Egyptians, but the time had not yet come.  First he must spend forty years on the back side of the desert, learning in the school of GodGod had predicted that His people would be in the land of Egypt as slaves for 400 years (Gen. 15:13), so Moses actions were forty years premature.  He needed more training in the solitude of the desert.  And the people needed more training in the brickkiln.  The Lord orders all things according to His infinite wisdom.  He is not in a hurry, but neither will He leave His people in affliction one moment longer than necessary.

In tending the flock of Jethro, Moses learned some valuable lessons about leading God’s people.  The Lord promised Moses that He would deliver His people from Egypt and bring them into a land of abundanceGod reassures Moses that He is the God of his forefathers—Abraham and Isaac and Jacob.

Now God calls on Moses telling him that it is time for him to “GO” and bring the people out of SLAVERY, but Moses protested God’s call to him, sighting his own inadequacy.  But the Lord assured Moses of His presence and promised that he would yet serve God on this mountain (Mount Sinai) with a liberated people.

In these next few lessons, we will use the baseball terminology as it is presented in the Scriptures to show you exactly how God used Moses to confront Pharaoh to release His people and bring them out of Slavery.   God’s fore-knowledge of how we think and encouraged by His love, patience and understanding of mankind gave Pharaoh ten strikes to strike him out instead of the customary three strikes man gives in the game of Baseball.

Strike One: Blood  Exodus 7:14-18

God said to Moses: “Pharaoh is a stubborn man. He refuses to release the people. First thing in the morning, go and meet Pharaoh as he goes down to the river. At the shore of the Nile take the staff that turned into a snake and say to him, ‘God, the God of the Hebrews, sent me to you with this message, “Release my people so that they can worship me in the wilderness.” So far you haven’t listened. This is how you’ll know that I am God. I am going to take this staff that I’m holding and strike this Nile River water: The water will turn to blood; the fish in the Nile will die; the Nile will stink; and the Egyptians won’t be able to drink the Nile water.’”

Strike Two: Frogs Exodus 8:1-15

God said to Moses, “Go to Pharaoh and tell him, ‘God’s Message: Release my people so they can worship me. If you refuse to release them, I’m warning you, I’ll hit the whole country with frogs. The Nile will swarm with frogs—they’ll come up into your houses, into your bedrooms and into your beds, into your servants’ quarters, among the people, into your ovens and pots and pans. They’ll be all over you, all over everyone—frogs everywhere, on and in everything!’”

God said to Moses, “Tell Aaron, ‘Wave your staff over the rivers and canals and ponds. Bring up frogs on the land of Egypt.’”

Aaron stretched his staff over the waters of Egypt and a mob of frogs came up and covered the country.

But again the magicians did the same thing using their incantations— they also produced frogs in Egypt.

Pharaoh called in Moses and Aaron and said, “Pray to God to rid us of these frogs. I’ll release the people so that they can make their sacrifices and worship God.”

Moses said to Pharaoh, “Certainly. Set the time. When do you want the frogs out of here, away from your servants and people and out of your houses? You’ll be rid of frogs except for those in the Nile.”

“Make it tomorrow.”

Moses said, “Tomorrow it is—so you’ll realize that there is no God like our God. The frogs will be gone. You and your houses and your servants and your people, free of frogs. The only frogs left will be the ones in the Nile.”

Moses and Aaron left Pharaoh, and Moses prayed to God about the frogs he had brought on PharaohGod responded to Moses’ prayer: The frogs died off—houses, courtyards, fields, all free of frogs. They piled the frogs in heaps. The country reeked of dead frogs.

But when Pharaoh saw that he had some breathing room, he got stubborn again and wouldn’t listen to Moses and Aaron. Just as God had said.

Just how stubborn can we be when we think God has given us some breathing room?  In the next lesson, you will see if God throws Pharaoh a curve ball, a fast ball are a strike.  Look for the next lesson, coming right behind this one.

We welcome all of you into our Sunday Morning Praise and Worship Service.  Let us begin by reading from the book of Psalms 150 in obedience to the word of God.  This is what the book of Psalms teaches us, “Praise ye the Lord. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power. Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness. Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp. Praise him with the tumbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs.  Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals. Let everything that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord.

This message of praise is one that should be branded on our hearts, and we should wear it on our chest daily as a badge of honor, free from the fears of the world.  We are His children, and we should be proud to lift up our hands, open our mouths and shout out praises to the one that woke us up this morning and every morning that we are on this earth.

In our message today, I will be speaking to you from the Book of (2 Timothy 1:6-7).  Now here is what the Scriptures teaches us about overcoming our fears and standing up in the face of the devil and giving God all your praises in order that He may take you to that High Place in which He desires you to be: Now listen up, as the Bible speaks to you, it says, “Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands. For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind, 2Timothy 1:6-7 KJV!”
