Sunday Prayer Praise and Worship Service 126 (Trust in the Lord)

Trust in the Word of God

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. (Proverbs 3:5-6 ESV)

Eternal God our Heavenly Father, I thank you for allowing me to take refuge in your

Prayer and Obedience

Prayer and Obedience

Holy place, for you are my strength, my song,  and my salvation; I will lean, depend and trust in you, and I will not be afraid. For I know that under your wings I will find refuge; your faithfulness is a shield and buckler, and I will not fear the terror of the night, nor the arrow that flies by day, I will always trust in the Lord, Amen!

Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good;
for his steadfast love endures forever!

 Let Israel say,
    “His steadfast love endures forever.”
Let the house of Aaron say,
    “His steadfast love endures forever.”
Let those who fear the Lord say,
    “His steadfast love endures forever.”

 Out of my distress I called on the Lord;
the Lord answered me and set me free.
The Lord is on my side; I will not fear.
What can man do to me?
The Lord is on my side as my helper;
I shall look in triumph on those who hate me.

It is better to take refuge in the Lord
    than to trust in man.

(Psalms 118:1-8 ESV

So that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth,  and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (Philippians 2:10-11 ESV)

prayer alter 02

What must I do to be saved? This question was first asked by a jailer at Ephesus, who witnessed an earthquake that freed Paul and Silas. Paul and Silas were the Church’s first official evangelists, who had been falsely arrested and beaten and left in his charge. The earthquake came as the climax to a midnight prison cell prayer and praise meeting and it spurred the jailer to consider the condition of his soul.  What must I do to be saved, you asked?  If you truly want to be saved, listen to what the Lord says you must do, “you should first go to God in prayer.  When praying to Him you should tell Him you are sorry for the sinful things that you have done against Him and how you want to do the right thing from now on (1 John 1:9Acts 20:21). Next you should ask Him to forgive your sins through His death payment on the cross (Colossians 2:10-14). Last, make a commitment to God that you will wholly follow His commandments and believe on Him and His Word, with the help of His Holy Spirit (John 14:15).  Congratulations, you are SAVED (John 8:32)! You have become a new person, and you will be able to live a life that is pleasing to God (2 Corinthians 5:14-17 ). Now, God will come into your heart and live with you (Revelation 3:20). This is so you can be close to Him, receive His power, and understand His Word (1 John 3:16Acts1:8John14:26).

We thank each of you for reading and studying with us this day; Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope, in Jesus name, Amen!

Saturday Morning Devotional Service of Prayer and Praise (The prayer of Jabez)

Good morning children of God, and indeed what a great morning this really is. For the Lord our God has awaken us and provided us with a brand-new opportunity to lift him up in high praises. For this reason, we ought to lift up holy hands where ever we are and just begin to praise his holy name. For he is worthy to be praised and today’s Devotional Service is designed to concentrate our minds on praising the Lord, after a very long week of being in the secular world.  Now join with me and let us together focus our attention away from the world and upon God and the things of Heaven.

Today my brothers and sisters, we are a blessed people. We are a free people we can lift up the name of Jesus, praise and worship him without fear of persecution, and when we do not take advantage of this blessed opportunity and shower him with praising and serving him in his holiness, we are cursing our blessing and we are not deserving of the Lords grace that he has showered upon us. Let us at this very moment, not cut off our blessing, but lift up the Lord our God in high praises and Thanksgiving.

THE PRAYER OF JABEZ by Donald Lawrence

If you are a person studying this lesson with us today and have not received the saving grace of the Lord and would like to join the Lord’s family of BELIEVERS and receive ETERNAL LIFE, we simply ask you to, “BELIEVE!”

Now repeat this short prayer with me:  “Lord I am a sinner, I have sinned against you, I BELIEVE that Jesus died for my sins, and on the third day you raised him from the grave and today He lives.  I ask you to forgive me of my sins, and come into my heart and cleanse me of my sins.  If you have prayed this prayer with me, you now are saved and have ETERNAL LIFE  in glory.”

We encourage you to find a local Bible Teaching Church and begin to study and fellowship with other believers.  You can also return back here daily and study God’s word with us.  We share the truth of the scriptures daily, and you will find over 1000 topics for study and discussions.  May the saving grace of our Lord and Savior be with you now and forever, in Jesus name, AMEN!

Thoughts and prayers for God’s people this Memorial Day Weekend

Let us be mindful of who we are, who God is and who we are in God this Memorial Day Weekend…

This Nation and many Nations from all over the globe are engaged in war on this Memorial Day Weekend.  Many brave Soldiers stand ready to engage the enemy where ever they may be to protect the home country that we may live in peace and security.  As we hit the highways for out of town visits, fire up our grills, turn up the music on our stereo sets, invite friends and family over for some good old fashion fun and conversation; during it all I encourage each of you to pause and reflect upon those who are standing in harm’s way, those who have given their lives, those who have lost a limb and those who are suffering from stress are other serious injuries, allow some parts of your thoughts and conversation to be about them, and what each of us can do to reach out and offer a helping hand.  As you engage in prayer over the physical food that you are about to partake into your bodies, reflecting upon a soldier and their families.  Our many Veterans that have served honorable in all the many wars that have been fought and still giving of themselves in some way, pray for them and their families.

When we as a Nation begin to use our time wisely this MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND, engaged in thoughts and prayers for our Armed Forces, Veterans and their Families, we can send up a powerful message that can and will move mountains.  Let us be about God’s business this Weekend, doing His Will.  We can make a difference when we learn to use the power of one.  May God bless each one of you for a safe and Happy Memorial Day Weekend; it is in the name of Jesus that I pray for each of you, AMEN!

Thursday Scriptures of Encouragement (Sweet Perfumes of Penitence)

BEAUTY OF LOVE (Photo by Pastor Davis)

BEAUTY OF LOVE (Photo by Pastor Davis)

My dear brothers and sisters as we enter into this day of celebrations, I encourage you to pay close attention to our scripture reading for this day.  It is one designed to encourage you in your walk with the Lord and move you away from the evils of sin and allow you to smell the Sweet Perfumes of Penitence.

In this Psalms Alexander Maclaren once said, “The alchemy of divine love can extract sweet perfumes of penitence and praise out of the filth of sin.”  We have an illustration of this in Psalms 51. As the heading explains it was written by David, after Nathan the prophet had boldly exposed him for committing adultery with Bathsheba and for murdering Uriah her husband.  Utterly convicted of his sin David pours out this torrent of penitence from his broken and contrite heart.

Now click on this short video clip and listen carefully to this very important scripture reading of our word of encouragement for this Thursday…

We pray that this scripture lesson today has been a blessing to your soul and that you will now share it and bless someone else on this very beautiful day so that they too can smell the Sweet Perfumes of Penitence.

Love Conquers all in a Loving Relationship

LOVE CONQUERS ALL (Photo by Pastor Davis)

LOVE CONQUERS ALL (Photo by Pastor Davis)

If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.  And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.  If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned,[a] but have not love, I gain nothing.

Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant 5 or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth.  Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. (1 Corinthians 13:1-7 ESV)

We’re all either in a relationship, getting out of one or looking for one.  No matter love 01what the situation may or may not be, everyone is seeking love.  Some of us are seeking it in all the wrong places and in all the wrong ways.  No matter, we want love.  We want to be loved and we want to experience it in ways that will define who we are.  Weather we are young or old, rich or poor, we are trying to reach a place in life that will define our happiness, our joy, our place in history, as a man or woman, a family or whatever.  We seek love; we seek to be loved, not knowing that; Love is the foundation and the apex of the pyramid of our existence.

Love is the “affirmative of affirmatives”; it enlarges the vision, expands the heart.

Love is the dynamic motivation behind every worthy purpose; it is the upward thrust that lifts men to the heights beyond their own limited imagination.

love 10Love is the creative fire, the inspiration that keeps the torch of progress aflame.

Love is down to earth and it reaches to the highest star; it is the valley of humility and the mountaintop of ecstasy.

Love is the perfect antidote that floods the mind to wash away hatred, jealousy, resentment, anxiety and fear.

Love alone can release the power of the atom so it will work for man and not against him.

Love, in the words of the World’s Greatest Lover, is the shining command:  LOVE ONE ANOTHER, and when we learn to love one another without a preset oflove 15 conditions, we would have then learned how to experience, the joy and pleasure of the totality of the relationship, and how to have a romantic love affair with the joy of life.

Now we can embrace the relationship, knowing that love is King and the flames of fire is filled with great romance and passion is our greatest desire.

We pray that this lesson has been a blessing to your soul, and if it has, why not share it with others so that they too can receive their blessing.  Thank you for reading and studying with us and may God bless you in every way this day, in Jesus name, Amen!
