Saturday Devotional Prayer (Being Thankful Lesson 2)

Being Thankful (Lesson 2)

Today My Brothers and Sisters, we lift our eyes up towards heaven and give the Lord all our praises for He has brought us through the trials and tribulations of this life and allowed us to be right where we are on this very day.  Let our hearts be filled with gratitude for the awesome works He has done in chiseling us out and making us the person we are today and who we are to become in the future.

LET US PRAY:

All wise God our Heavenly Father, we enter into your presence with thanksgiving and into the Holy gates with praise. For on this day Father, there is so much that we have to be thankful for, and if we try to list all the things we have been blessed with, there would not be enough space are time to list them all.  So Father I will just say, thank you for every blessing that I have received, for every blessing you have provided to the people you have placed in my life, for all the readers, followers, bloggers, ministers and especially our disciples that are building ministries all over the world.  For without you Heavenly Father, there would be no us, so Father we go forth this day lifting up your Holy name in high praise and with great honor because you have given so much and asked for so little in return.  We thank you Father for all that you do, to enrich our lives and make us a better people, in Jesus name, Amen!

Today’s Scriptures on Being Thankful:

Come, let’s shout praises to God,being thankful 08
raise the roof for the Rock who saved us!
Let’s march into his presence singing praises,
lifting the rafters with our hymns!

And why? Because God is the best,
High King over all the gods.
In one hand he holds deep caves and caverns,
in the other hand grasps the high mountains.
He made Ocean—he owns it!
His hands sculpted Earth! (Psalms 95:1-5 MSG)

Every time I think of you—and I think of you often!—I thank God for your lives of free and open access to God, given by Jesus. There’s no end to what has happened in you—it’s beyond speech, beyond knowledge. The evidence of Christ has been clearly verified in your lives.         (1 Corinthian 1:4-5 MSG)

And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. (Colossians 3:17 ESV)

Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.                                       (1 Thessalonians 5:18 ESV)

Praise the LORD. Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever.

(Psalms 106:1 ESV)

For this reason, ever since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints,  I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers.         (Ephesians 1:15-16 ESV)

You will be made rich in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.  This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of God’s people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God. (2 Corinthians 9:11-12 ESV)

QUESTION: How important is Alter Call?

It is the most important thing that any Servant of the Lord can do. We are called to bring the lost sheep in from the cold. How can we do this if we never call them to come forth and accept the Lord as their Lord and Savior? When we make the call the Holy Spirit will convict them to answer the call. Therefore, if you are truly a disciple of Christ, it is your obligation to make the call.

TODAY’S ALTER CALL:

If you are a person studying this lesson with us today and have not received the saving grace of the Lord and would like to join the Lord’s family of BELIEVERS and receive ETERNAL LIFE, we simply ask you to,“BELIEVE!”

Now repeat this short prayer with me: “Lord I am a sinner, I have sinned against you, I BELIEVE that Jesus died for my sins, and on the third day you raised him from the grave and today He lives. I ask you to forgive me of my sins, and come into my heart and cleanse me of my sins. If you have prayed this prayer with me, you now are saved and have ETERNAL LIFE in glory.”

We encourage you to find a local Bible Teaching Church and begin to study and fellowship with other believers. You can also return back here daily and study God’s word with us. We share the truth of the scriptures daily, and you will find over 1000 topics for study and discussions. May the saving grace of our Lord and Savior be with you now and forever, in Jesus name, AMEN!

Being Thankful (Lesson 1)

Being Thankful (Lesson 1)

being thankful 08

Today My Brothers and Sisters, we begin a series of lessons on “Being Thankful.”  Because we are entering into the Holiday Season these lessons will be a reminder for us to share with one another our gratefulness in our Spiritual Being as one people, living in the body of Christ, and embracing our uniqueness as sons and daughters of the most high.

For me, I am thankful for each one of you who take the time to visit here with us day in and day out, taking the time to read, study and share the Word of God with others.  I am grateful for being given the privilege to serve as one of the Lord’s servant in a capacity that helps fulfill His Mission of taking the Gospel of Jesus Christ into the World, and thankful that the Lord has sent so many of you who has decided to join in with me and be a total part of reaching out to help the Lord’s people.

My heart is humble and I am grateful for your service to the Kingdom of God beyond measure.  Therefore, I will say to you the same words that Paul spoke to the Corinthians.  “Every time I think of you—and I think of you often!—I thank God for your lives of free and open access to God, given by Jesus. There’s no end to what has happened in you—it’s beyond speech, beyond knowledge. The evidence of Christ has been clearly verified in your lives. (1 Corinthians 1:4-5 MSG)

May you continue to find joy and peace in the work you do as you embrace each other with a heart filled with love and understanding for what the Lord has done for each one of His Children.  For we all are His people and the Sheep of His pasture, let there be no division between us as we go forth into this Holiday Season being thankful and sharing with each other the many blessings that the Lord has set before us this day.  May His mercy and grace be with you through all eternity, in Jesus name, Amen!

Preparing for Spiritual Warfare (Lesson 9)

Preparing for Spiritual Warfare (Lesson 9)

Wednesday Inspirational and Motivational Service

Spiritual warfare 009

Prepare yourself to be used by God

No army has ever gone on the battle field to fight a war without first preparing its soldiers physically, mentally and spiritually.  These three ingredient properly mixed together becomes a potent weapon against Satan’s spiritual warfare games.

You must stand ready to fight the enemy wherever he may be.  Remember God wants to use you on the battlefield.  So stop being a couch potato, get up and get out.

Prepare yourself to be used by God.  Become physically fit, mentally fit and spiritually fit.  Your body is God’s holy temple.  Stop abusing it, and learn to use it for the Glory of God. For the Word of God commands you to do this, it says, “I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. (Romans 12:1 ESV)

In order to protect you from the enemy’s weapons of war, the Lord provides you with the best protection of all times.  He says to you, “finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

Put on the whole armor of God, which ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high [places].

Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, which ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.  (Ephesians 6:10-18)

A Christian is like a soldier whose task it is to do his commander’s will. No soldier would dare go off on his own in the midst of battle, nor would a faithful Christian desert his post when engaged in fighting evil.

The Christian is also like an athlete who prepares for the race, runs hard, and goes by the rules. We too must remember that, as Christians, discipline and honesty count for a great deal if we are to succeed.

Finally, the Christian is like a farmer who breaks up the stubborn earth to bring out the best that is in it. A farmer’s life is never easy, but the rewards are worth it. So too, for a Christian, we put our hand to the plow and do not turn back.

In all of those figures we have before us the example of Jesus Christ. Let us be strong in his name and followers of the one that win all battles that we may enter into.  Never enter into a battle without the Lord on your side.

Therefore, I conclude this lesson by encouraging each of you with these few words, “PREPARE YOURSELF TO BE USED BY GOD!”

Obtaining Success through the Word of God

Arise, shine, for your light has come,
and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you. (Isaiah 60:1 ESV)

A TORCH OF HEAVEN

A TORCH OF HEAVEN

Good Morning Children of God, may His grace and mercy be with you as you walk out your purpose doing His will this day.  Let me encourage you in the Word as you begin your week in the world preparing for your Success this day as you work to make all your plans, hopes and dreams become a reality.  For the Word of God tells us this, “Do not be conformed to this world,[c] but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.” (Romans 12:2 ESV)

Therefore, my brothers and sisters, we want you to understand that you can live in this world but you do not have to be of this world.  Keep your minds centered upon the things above as you live and work in this world to use your gifts to be successful at whatever your calling may be.  Our lesson today is one to help you succeed in your chosen profession by learning how to use the word of God to become successful.

Now listen to what the Lord has given to me to give to you:

SUNDAY PRAYER PRAISE AND DEVOTIONAL SERVICE 99 PRAISE AND CALMNESS

THE LIGHT HAS COME INTO THE WORLD (PHOTO BY PASTOR DAVIS)

THE LIGHT HAS COME INTO THE WORLD (PHOTO BY PASTOR DAVIS)

Good morning children of God what a mighty God we serve, he woke us up this morning and started us on our way. We are truly blessed to be able to come together in his holy name and lift him up in praise and worship on this glorious day. I thank him for each one of you who have taken a moment to lift the Lord up in your praises. Now let us lift each other up and bless one another this day. For he said in his word, that where two or more of his children gather in His name, that he will be with us, therefore my brothers and sisters, as I write these words to you this day, I can clearly feel the power of the Holy Spirit moving and stirring about in my hands and throughout my body and mind, prompting me to speak His words of truth to you that you may be empowered to go out and speak the same to others that you may come in contact with. For the Lord has much work for each one of us to do. He is encouraging us to move now and be about His business. We are His sheep and we are gather together in His name to be feed the truth of His word in order that we may go out and feed others that are in need. Let this be the day that you have been praying and asking the Lord to change you into the person that He desires you to be. Be filled with the Holy Spirit and allow the Holy Spirit to direct your life. Lift His up in High praise this day because He is truly worthy of all praise and glory.

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE STAY CALM GOD HAS PLANS FOR YOU

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you, declares the Lord, and I will restore your fortunes and gather you from all the nations and all the places where I have driven you, declares the Lord, and I will bring you back to the place from which I sent you into exile. (Jeremiah 29:11-14 ESV)
Stay calm; mind your own business; do your own job. You’ve heard all this from us before, but a reminder never hurts. We want you living in a way that will command the respect of outsiders, not lying around sponging off your friends. (1 Thessalonians 4:11-12 MSG)

MY MAXIMIZED PRAYER FOR CALMNESS

Father, in the name of Jesus, I seek your blessings for CALMNESS over my life and the lives of all those that you have placed in my pathway. Father as we walk out our purpose in this life and continue to move swiftly towards our destination, with our heads hung high, and our eyes wide open, we seek your guidance over all that we do. We know evil is all around us, threatening to destroy us, but we are leaning and depending on your promises father, and we will remain steadfast in your word, with our minds calm, our eyes focus on the prize, and always minding your own business. This we will do in the name of Jesus. AMEN!

OUR WORSHIP MESSAGE IS CALMNESS

Saturday Morning Devotional Service of Prayer and Praise (The prayer of Jabez)

I WILL LIFT THE LORD UP IN HIGH PRAISES

GRACE EPISCOPAL CHURCH TRENTON, N.C. (PHOTO BY PASTOR DAVIS)

GRACE EPISCOPAL CHURCH TRENTON, N.C. (PHOTO BY PASTOR DAVIS)

Good morning children of God, and indeed what a great morning this really is. For the Lord our God has awaken us and provided us with a brand-new opportunity to lift him up in high praises. For this reason, we ought to lift up holy hands where ever we are and just begin to praise his holy name. For he is worthy to be praised and today’s Devotional Service is designed to concentrate our minds on praising the Lord, after a very long week of being in the secular world.  Now join with me and let us together focus our attention away from the world and upon God and the things of Heaven.

OUR SCRIPTURE READING IS PSALM 136 by Pastor Davis

Today my brothers and sisters, we are a blessed people. We are a free people we can lift up the name of Jesus, praise and worship him without fear of persecution, and when we do not take advantage of this blessed opportunity and shower him with praising and serving him in his holiness, we are cursing our blessing and we are not deserving of the Lords grace that he has showered upon us. Let us at this very moment, not cut off our blessing, but lift up the Lord our God in high praises and Thanksgiving.

Praying for each other’s Spiritual Empowerment

Praying for each other’s Spiritual Empowerment

prayer alter 02

During the course of our lives, we all have had someone to pray for us.  Prayer is the key that unlocks the door to our blessings, and when we learn that our purpose in life is to serve others, and we can truly be effective as a servant by praying in the Spirit for our fellowman, we are then moved to pray without ceasing.

NOW LET US PRAY:

PAUL’S PRAYER FOR SPIRITUAL EMPOWERMENT:

Paul’s prayer for spiritual empowerment for the Ephesians was that they be united by the Spirit, indwelt by Christ, and filled with all the fullness of God’s love.  We know that God made the Holy Spirit available to all who believed in Jesus Christ as Savior.  The Spirit provides power for our new lives.

The Prayer that Paul prayed for Spiritual Empowerment was a beautiful and powerful prayer.  Now listen to Paul words as he spoke them in Ephesians 3:14-21:

For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height.

To know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God?  Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever.  Amen.

We find that in this text’s prayer, Paul asked that the Holy Spirit deepen His work in their lives in three ways:

  1.   That Christ would dwell–more literally, “be at home” in their hearts by faith, that is, that He would move from being an acquaintance to being the center of their church family;
  2.   That they would grasp God’s love at a spiritual level, beyond intellectual or theological knowledge.
  3.   That they would be filled with God’s fullness, that is, that the Holy Spirit would reveal the things of Christ (John 16) more fully, achieving God’s fuller work in each life unhindered, unquenched, ungrieved.

Today my brothers and sisters let us be of one mind living in the body of Christ and pray for each other’s spiritual empowerment.

Until we meet in our next session, may God bless each of you ABUNDANTLY!
