Monday’s Word of Encouragement (You have the Power)

Why are you always saying I don’t have the power to do this are to do that?  I’M just a no body; I am not going to get promoted to that position, they are not going to let me become the choir leader, I can’t write a new blog every day, I can’t write a book, I can’t get up every day and exercise, I can’t speak in front of that many people, I can’t, I can’t, I can’t, I just don’t have the power nor the energy to get up and do those things.

I ask you why you don’t.  All you have done is told yourself what you can’t do. Then you work diligently every day to convince yourself why you can’t do them.  You always put other people in front of you, pointing out the great job they are doing while waking up every morning looking in the mirror, putting yourself down and making excuses of why it is so difficult for you to do what God has given you the power to do.

God has provided you with a very special and unique gift.  Your job is to discover that gift that is waiting on the inside of you to be birth.  He has also equipped you with the POWERS to do great and mighty things.  (Jeremiah 33:3)  Power is truly what you have when you begin to truly BELIEVE on the Word of God.  Why?  Because there is POWER in the WORD, but only when you BELIEVE!  The WORD will never fail you when you BELIEVE in it.  The WORD is truth, the Bible says, “Know the truth and the truth will set you FREE.”  (John 8:32)

Now if you truly want to gain control of self, discover your real gift and activate the powers that God has already provided to you, the first thing you need to do is change your thinking from what you can’t do and begin by believing that you can do it by saying over and over to yourself these words, “I can do all things I choose to do through God who strengthen me.  (Philippians 4:13)

Believe that you can overcome your fears of not being able to accomplish the goals that you have set in the past for yourself, rise above the negative thinking that has surrounded you and move into that place that the Lord has called you to be.  It is never to late to make a change, you are never to young nor to old to begin.  You have to start from right where you are this very moment and begin to move forward.  For God never assigns His Servants a task without first fully equipping this with all the necessary tools to succeed at the assigned task.  He has provided the Holy Spirit to teach you, guide you and help you in every way possible.

Now listen to how the Lord’s supports you as you make the changes in your life to become successful in choosing to obey the Word of God, step out on your faith and stir up the gift that God has placed on the inside of you.  He says, “fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” (Isaiah 41:10)

You have the power, now activate it and receive your blessings!

Sunday Worship Service 135 (Meditate on the Word)

Meditate on the Word

Today we have entered into God’s class room of higher learning to lift Him up in prayer, praise and worship.  Let us be thankful and praisie His Holy name.

Father we thank you in the name of Jesus that we have this opportunity to come together before you, worship and praise you. Open our hearts and minds that we may receive the truth of your word. Bless your messenger and allow the Holy Spirit to use Him for your glory in Jesus name, Amen!

HOW TO RECEIVE THE GIFT OF ETERNAL LIFE What must I do to be saved? This question was first asked by a jailer at Ephesus, who witnessed an earthquake that freed Paul and Silas. Paul and Silas were the Church’s first official evangelists, who had been falsely arrested and beaten and left in his charge. The earthquake came as the climax to a midnight prison cell prayer and praise meeting and it spurred the jailer to consider the condition of his soul.

What must I do to be saved, you asked?  If you truly want to be saved, listen to what the Lord says you must do, “you should first go to God in prayer.  When praying to Him you should tell Him you are sorry for the sinful things that you have done against Him and how you want to do the right thing from now on (1 John 1:9Acts 20:21).

Next you should ask Him to forgive your sins through His death payment on the cross (Colossians 2:10-14). Last, make a commitment to God that you will wholly follow His commandments and believe on Him and His Word, with the help of His Holy Spirit (John 14:15).

Congratulations, you are SAVED (John 8:32)! You have become a new person, and you will be able to live a life that is pleasing to God (2 Corinthians 5:14-17 ). Now, God will come into your heart and live with you (Revelation 3:20). This is so you can be close to Him, receive His power, and understand His Word (1 John 3:16Acts1:8John14:26).

Now to him who is able to keep you from stumbling and topresent you blameless before the presence of His glory with great joy, to the only God, our savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, Be glory majesty,, Dominion, and authority, before all the time and now and forever, amen.

Saturday Morning Devotional Prayer and Praise Service (Pray and Meditate)

The gospel of Jesus Christ is the heart of the cross

The gospel of Jesus Christ is the heart of the cross

Father in the name of Jesus we seek deliverance for all your children from the four corners of the world.  Open the windows of heaven and pour of a blessing that those who are in the greatest need will receive and be delivered from the jaws of the evil spirits that are keeping them from your presence and the many blessings that are waiting for them. Use the prayers of your saints to manifest healing and restoration in the bodies and minds that are suffering and in need of your healing powers today. In Jesus name we seek these blessings, Amen!

On this day the Lord our God is calling all His Children to come before the throne of grace and begin to pray and meditate on the truth of His Word that the evil that is taking place in this world will be bound up and peace and love will become the norm for all people where ever they may be.  We are truly the body of Christ, let us live our lives accordingly that God may use us for His glory…

Now to him who is able to keep you from stumbling and topresent you blameless before the presence of His glory with great joy, to the only God, our savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, Be glory majesty,, Dominion, and authority, before all the time and now and forever, amen.

If this lesson has been a blessing to you, share it with others that they too may receive the blessings of the Lord.

Please return in a few hours for our Sunday Worship Service where Pastor Davis will be teaching on the subject: Meditate on the Word!

Forgiveness Friday (True love does not withhold forgiveness)

Have you ever been around people from your family, friends, and even business associates and the conversation always centered on criticism of others?

On the other hand, do you yourself make it a habit of criticizing others? Why do you feel it necessary to criticize your fellowman?

Have you been in church sitting with other believers and another person walked in not dress the way most of the people that are in the congregation are dressed and all eyes focused in on that person, and people start whispering?

Why do you find us always wanting to judge other people? Jesus’ teaching was about teaching us how to love each other. Jesus commanded his disciples to be loving and compassionate; He explained to them what true love entails.

First, he emphasized that true love does not judge others or withhold forgiveness.  He said, “Judge not [neither pronouncing judgment nor subjecting to censure], and you will not be judged; do not condemn and pronounce guilty, and you will not be condemned and pronounced guilty; acquit and forgive and release (give up resentment, let it drop), and you will be acquitted and forgiven and released.” (Luke 6:37 AMP)

While the word “judge” can mean to evaluate are analyze, Jesus did not mean that his people should refuse to think critically or make decisions, nor was he attempting to abolish the legal system or disciplinary measures.

Believers must be discerning and make certain judgments. Jesus was referring to the judgmental attitude that focuses on those faults, criticizing and tearing them down. This is something we must stop doing.  We now have our very young children growing up in the school system criticizing and being judgmental of other children.  Some of them are being murdered right in front of our own eyes, and others are committing suicide.  This is so wrong and Jesus is speaking to this matter in this lesson.  Now let all of us take heed.

The believer’s special position with Christ does not give them license to take God‘s place as judge and jury. Those who judge in that manner will find themselves judged by God. Neither should they criticize are they will face their own criticism. The practice of forgiveness leads also to forgiveness by God. Those who refuse to forgive show that they do not understand what God has done for them. God’s children must be ready and willing to forgive, just as God has forgiven them.

Now listen to these words very carefully, memorialize them, repeat them often, and watch your blessings overflow your storehouse.

My name is Good Measure; Good Measure is truly my name, pressed down, shaken together and running over.”  Jesus said, “Give, and [gifts] will be given to you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over, will they pour into [the pouch formed by] the bosom [of your robe and used as a bag]. For with the measure you deal out [with the measure you use when you confer benefits on others], it will be measured back to you.” (Luke 6:38 AMP)

Thursday Scriptures of Encouragement (Living in His Presence)

by Shirley Rhodes

Oh, how I long to always experience the presence of God in my life as I go forth day by day. If you have ever experienced peaceful moments of rest and restoration then you know what it means to experience God’s grace and mercy over your life. Within his presence is calmness that over shadows the elements of this world. For the scriptures says, “You will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trust in you.” (Isaiah 26: 3; NKJV) God, provider and giver of all things that pertains to life as you live and embrace each day; all goodness is found in his presence and not the presence of mortal beings. When you open your soul to heaven, supernatural healing occur; therefore, you share love, joy and peace with those you encounter as you walk out your designed purpose in this life.

There should be no questions nor doubt because you are anchored in the center from which your steps are ordered by God, most of all you are favored by his grace that bonds you to your life’s calling. You don’t have to be concerned about what it is you are doing because you have chosen to be an obedient servant who does not allow the world to dictate your assigned mission in this life, God will provide.

One thing I have desired of the Lord, that will I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord and to inquire in his temple (Psalm 27: 4). For you are looking to God for peace, restoration and rest through trials and tribulation that life brings knowing that your steps are ordered and carefully arranged under the anointing power of a most High God. LONGING TO LIVE IN THE PRESENCE OF GOD will provide strength, power and will to overcome obstacles Satan place in your path as stumbling blocks. Look to the Rock, the Anchor of your soul for all things that pertains to life, which is the key to peace, a fulfilled life with purpose

Monday’s Word of Encouragement (Get up and get going)

TIME WAITS FOR NO ONE (Photo by Pastor Davis)

TIME WAITS FOR NO ONE (Photo by Pastor Davis)

Let me begin this morning by asking you a question; “What are you waiting on?” The journey through this life waits for no one.  Yet you continue to procrastinate by putting off what you can do today for tomorrow, as though there is going to be a tomorrow.  For it is not promised and if you do not begin the task that has been set before you, how do you ever expect to accomplish them?

God has given each one of us a purpose in which to accomplish in this life time, and He has assigned us a specific task to carry out.  Do you know or even understand what you are assigned to do daily in this life as you work towards accomplishing what has been assigned to you?

This is the day and the moment in time for each of you to, “GET UP AND GET GOING!”  Stop wasting valuable time thinking about what you have to do, instead just “GET UP” and, “DO IT!”

In your heart of hearts you may say to yourself, know body knows the pain and frustrations I am feeling day to day.  It is easy for you to say Pastor, “GET UP AND GET GOING!”  But let me tell you, it’s easier said than done.

I say to you my friends, sometimes we’re hurting, and we feel very isolated and lonely.  Maybe there’s been a death in the family, a divorce, maybe we’ve gotten fired, and we start to think, “Nobody understands the way I feel, nobody can tell the way I feel, nobody feels the pain.”

Now know this, God knows your feelings and frustrations.  He’s seen the crisis in your soul.  There’s no hurt that goes unnoticed by God.  Psalm 56:6 says, “You know how troubled I am you have kept a recdord of my tears” (Good News)

Yes, I say to you, God knows all things; none of your troubles are above His caring and understanding.  You must learn to lean and depend upon Him.  Cast all your troubles and concerns upon His shoulders.  The Lord is like a father to his children, tender and compassionate to those who fear him.” Psalms 103:13 NLT
