HIS DESTINY WAS KNOWN

JESUS THE MESSIAH WHOS’ DESTINY WAS FORETOLD:

A LOVING SAVIOUR:

WRITTEN BY SHIRLEY RHODES:

As the Easter Holiday approaches many will see it as a time of joy and celebration of a tradition, one that is set aside every year. Really it has far more meaning than celebration of new attire and the Easter egg hunt. It is about honoring a savior who came to redeem mankind through freedom from sin, and the most important thing to remember is that he gave his life for all. Take a moment to reflect on his final days and hours before he said, “It is finished.”

Six days before the feast of Passover Jesus made a trip to Bethany (John 12:1; NKJV); he knew then that his hour had come to depart this world (earthly realm) to return to his Father with his purpose and commitment completed. He already knew that the devil would attempt his final act through one of his close companions for the scripture says, Jesus was troubled in his spirit and said, “I say to you, one of you will betray me (John 13: 21).”

His greatest desire was to spend the final days with those he had chosen through Holy Communion. He had final instructions before departing, instructions vital for carrying the message to the world, to continue to follow his designed pattern. During fellowship with them he said, “I have given you an example that you should do as I have done to you (John 13:15).” He went on to emphasize the most important part of fellowship, when he said, “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another…all will know that you are my disciples (John 13:34). If you love me, keep my commandments, these things I have spoken to you, that in me you will have peace; in the world you will have tribulations, but be of good cheer I have overcome the world (John 16: 33).

Remember, Jesus is about to face turbulent moments in the days ahead, yet, he show concern for mankind even in the darkest hours. When he faced death, his prayer to the Father was a deep cry for intervention, yet he said, your will not my will be done.

Isaiah prophesized about the “The Sin-Bearing-Servant”

He is despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief…he has borne our grief and carried our sorrows…he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities and by his stripes we are healed (Isaiah 53: 3-5).

Allow this Easter Holiday to become a time you seriously consider getting to know more about the one who came and died so that you can know how wonderful it is to be free, free indeed.

Gain Favor from God with a Humble Heart

How to experience Humility as a way of Life

EXPERIENCING HUMILITY (PHOTO BY Pastor Davis)

EXPERIENCING HUMILITY (PHOTO BY Pastor Davis)

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, do you really understand who you are when you look into the mirror and see that face looking back at you?  Do you ever ask the question, Oh God, who am I?  What I want you to understand in this lesson and the many lessons we teach here is How Humility works to bring you into the knowledge and power of  just who you are, who God is, and who you are in God.  Re-read and comprehend this last statement because it holds more power than an atom bomb.

The reward for HUMILITY and fear of the LORD is RICHES and HONOR and LIFE. (Proverbs 22:4 ESV) Now I ask you, how many of you do not want to experience these blessings in your life. God is teaching us how to live as that new person in this season and experience a true abundant lifestyle, BY LEARNING HOW TO EXPERIENCE HUMILITY AS A WAY OF LIFE!

In this, we are given a choice, we can befriend God are we can befriend the world. Some of us may say that we will befriend both God and the world, but in practice, we can only choose one way. The more we give ourselves to the world, the stronger will be our allegiance to the world. The more we give ourselves to God, the stronger will be our bond with him. This is what Jesus says, “Wherever your treasure is, there your heart and thoughts will also be. (Matthew 6:21)

We have to remember, that we can find strength in the Lord, to live a humble lifestyle and receive all the lords abundant BLESSINGS. Although the world may consider us weak, when we show HUMILITY, this is because the world wants us to be filled with pride, and God sets himself against the proud, because pride makes us self-centered and leads us to conclude that we deserve all we can see, touch, or imagine. It creates greedy appetites far more than we need. Pride can subtly cause us to no longer see our sins or our need for forgiveness.

But remember this one great truth, HUMILITY opens the way for God’s grace to flow into our lives; thus, God shows favor to the HUMBLE.

Do not get so caught up in the ways of the world and the people that surrounds you, that you lose sight of who you are, who God is, who you are in God, that your heart becomes so hearten that you cannot HUMBLE yourselves in the presence of the Lord.

Understand this fact, “HUMILITY is not weakness; instead, it is the only place that believers gain courage to face all their temptations and sins with God’s strength.” As God gives us more grace, we realize that this world’s seductive attractions are only cheap substitutes for what God has to offer. It is our choice we can HUMBLE ourselves and receive God’s grace, or we can continue in our pride and self-sufficiency and experience his anger.

Now let me conclude this by leaving you with these two questions; (1). How do we, so prone to pride at the very moment when we think we might be approaching humility, discover true humility? (2). How do we become the kind of humble people who find the overflowing grace that God promises?

Well, listen to how Scripture teaches us to do it; “Let God work his will in you. Yell a loud no to the Devil and watch him scamper. Say a quiet yes to God and he’ll be there in no time. Quit dabbling in sin. Purify your inner life. Quit playing the field. Hit bottom, and cry your eyes out. The fun and games are over. Get serious, really serious. Get down on your knees before the Master; it’s the only way you’ll get on your feet.” (James 4:7-10 MSG)

May the grace of God fill your lives with His overflowing blessings, and bring you much joy and peace now and forever, in Jesus name, AMEN!

God’s promise was a Gift Fulfilled

Written by Shirley Rhodes

God‘s Promise Was a Gift Fulfilled and that promise was the gift of his Son in order that we might enter a life filled with His light. We are given the opportunity to share in fulfillment of God’ promise in which we must learn to depend and trust God and his way, by embracing him and what he does for each of us.

Jesus came into the world and was yet rejected, the scriptures addresses it this way: He came unto his own, and his own received him not (John1:11) But as many as received him, to them he gave power to become the sons  of God, even those who believed on his name (12), he was the Word made flesh, lived among man full of grace and truth(14)(KJV) through this kind act of God,  we  know that God’s Promise Was a Gift Fulfilled.

We are all God’s creation, when some see a person as nothing, God sees that person as something, he sees the possibilities, we only have to dare and trust in him for what he has promised.

When things seem hopeless, do not focus on what seems impossible because with God all things are possible.  Faith is the key to opening up and allowing our minds to grasp the greatness of the One who is able to give us what we need,” the just shall live by faith” (Habakkuk 2:4).

In order to share in what the promise offers we must decide to devote time and energy into getting to know the source, that is done through studying and sharing knowledge and understanding of how it is all purposed to come together in our lives. When we deeply plant the Word of promise in our hearts and focus on how the Holy Spirit (that which Jesus promised would come) works, we set aside time in prayer, believing in faith. Allowing our thoughts to be reminded that God’s Promise Was a Gift Fulfilled; we center ourselves in such a way that when all is complete;  we  come up strong and ready, sure that God will do just what he’s promised.

What we find in life is that if we trust in people we set ourselves up for disappointment by the very one(s) we trust who failed to follow through on what they promised. People are skeptical especially of things or people who seem too good to be true. One major fact is this, people like to have more than one form ofevidence in order to believe something that would in the ordinary seem unreal.

When Jesus told his followers it was really him, in the flesh after his resurrection, they didn’t believe him at first; in all actually what they were truly seeing was that, God’s Promise Was a Gift Fulfilled.

When Jesus shared his last meal with his chosen followers after his resurrection, He opened their understanding and instructed them to be his witnesses and to wait for further instructions from God. ThePower they were to receive, the Holy Spirit, so that they could be witnesses of the resurrected Savior.

God gave his Word and kept his promise; he sacrificed his only Son to save mankind, God’s Promise Was a Gift Fulfilled. We owe him worship and praise continually.   And in Roman’s 12:1, Paul teaches us that we must be obedient to the word of God, he starts out by saying, “Brothers and sisters, in light of all I have shared with you about God’s mercies, I urge you to offer your bodies as a living and holy sacrifice to God, a sacred offering that brings Him pleasure; this is your reasonable, essential worship.”

Saturday Morning Devotional Prayer and Praise Service (Amazing Grace)

PRAISING GOD FOR HIS AMAZING GRACE

GOD'S AMAZING GRACE by Pastor Davis

GOD’S AMAZING GRACE by Pastor Davis

WORD OF ENCOURAGEMENT:

My dear brothers and sisters, when I enter into the Lord’s presence daily with you my main goal is to equip you with the tools God has given to me to help you grow stronger in His word, in your faith, and in what ever calling that has been placed upon your life that you may remain faithful to Him that is keeping you in His will daily, and encourage you to stir up the gifts that He has already provided to you that you will become the great servant that He has called you to be.

LET US PRAY:

Father I thank you for your amazing grace that saved a soul like me.  Thank you for the The Angel Gabriel announcement to Mary by Photo Bucket
Holy Spirit that leads, guides and protects me in all I do.  Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your work here on this earth in building up your glorious Kingdom to help provide comfort and guidance for all your children who will seek you for their Lord and Savior. Father, pour out a blessing on all your children that they may receive the Kingdom of Heaven, and be lifted up in good health and be provided with the great abundance of fruit that you have prepared for all those who love you and desire to receive your amazing grace, in Jesus name, Amen!

MY TESTIMONY:

I like many of you was once lost, drifting in the sea of loneness, uninspired, unequipped to face the many challenges that I would encounter on a daily basics, with all sorts of temptations from the devil trying to take me in the wrong directions, but deep within my soul I knew that the Holy Spirit was protecting me and prompting me to make a change.  My Mom had always encouraged me to just trust God, and He would make a way out of no where.

LEARNING TO TRUST GOD:

I am writing to you today to let you know that I know God will make a way out of no way.  The day that my faith kicked in and I learn to Trust God, I know that it was nothing but God’s Amazing Grace that saved me.  Because I once was lost, but now I found, I was blind, but now I can see, through it all God never left me, nor did He forsake me.  He picked me up when I was falling down, and He turned my life around and planted my feet on solid ground.  Grace my brothers and sisters, God’s amazing grace gave me strength, courage, patience, love, joy, peace, understanding and the power of a locomotive engine to climb the mountains of this life, carry the heavy loads and never stall along the way.  What He has done for me, He can and will do the same for you, because His grace is sufficient to see you through.  Learn to Trust Him and be Obedient to His will.  It is nothing less than His amazing grace.

PRAISING GOD:

Today I can do  nothing less than lift Him up and praise His Holy name, because He is worthy to be praised.
