Stop trying to Bargain with God ASK

Stop trying to Bargain with God, ASK

THE SON OF RIGHTEOUSNESS (PHOTO BY PASTOR DAVIS)

THE SON OF RIGHTEOUSNESS (PHOTO BY PASTOR DAVIS)

My Brothers and Sisters our lesson for this Wednesday Inspirational and Motivational moment is very simple; Ask, Seek and knock.  This how the bible tells us to do it, it says, “Don’t bargain with God. Be direct. Ask for what you need. This isn’t a cat-and-mouse, hide-and-seek game we’re in. If your child asks for bread, do you trick him with sawdust? If he asks for fish, do you scare him with a live snake on his plate? As bad as you are, you wouldn’t think of such a thing. You’re at least decent to your own children. So don’t you think the God who conceived you in love will be even better?

“Here is a simple, rule-of-thumb guide for behavior: Ask yourself what you want people to do for you, then grab the initiative and do it for them. Add up God’s Law and Prophets and this is what you get.  (Matthew 7:7-12 MSG)

For those of you who missed our Devotional praise and prayer service, click this link and you can still enjoy the early part of what God shared with us:  http://wp.me/pf75v-367

Good Morning Children of God, welcome back to our Sunday Worship Service.  For this is truly another great day that the Lord has blessed each one of us to be a part of on this Sunday Morning.  Therefore, I am going to lift Him up and praise Him with every ounce of strength that is within my body and spiritual mind.  I invite each of you to join with me and together let’s shake up the devil with our noise of high praise and worship.

LET US PRAY:

Let us all be mindful that as believers we are called to pray for one another and pray without ceasing.  Christians, women and children from every corner of the world are facing some very difficult and challenging times and they are in need of our intercessory prayers.  Let each one of us do our part and the Holy Spirit will do the rest.

Eternal God our Heavenly Father, in the name of your son Jesus we enter into your presence this day as your children seeking your divine blessings over those that are lost and suffering at the hands of evil men and evil spirits.  We speak favor over their lives and in the presence of evil,  they will be lifted up by a supernatural occurrence and their captives will be made to face your waft. We speak peace and prosperity for all that are in need, that this day of prayer joined in by all your children, praying together on one accord will move mountains and the world will stand in witness the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit raining down on the evil workers of this world and its captive will be free at last. Thank you Heavenly Father for listening to the crys of your children.  In Jesus name, Amen!

SCRIPTURE FOR OUR BIBLE STUDY AND WORSHIP SERVICE:  (2 Timothy 1:6-7 AMP)

That is why I would remind you to stir up (rekindle the embers of, fan the flame of, and keep burning) the [gracious] gift of God, [the inner fire] that is in you by means of the laying on of my hands [with those of the elders at your ordination]

For God did not give us a spirit of timidity (of cowardice, of craven and cringing and fawning fear), but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of calm and well-balanced mind and discipline and self-control.

Now open your hearts and mind and allow what God has given to Pastor Davis regarding the Stirring up of your gifts to be a blessing to your soul this day. Click on the video and receive your divine blessing:

TODAY’S ALTER CALL:

If you are a person studying this lesson with us today and have not received the saving grace of the Lord and would like to join the Lord’s family of BELIEVERS and receive ETERNAL LIFE, we simply ask you to, “BELIEVE!”

Now repeat this short prayer with me:  “Lord I am a sinner, I have sinned against you, I BELIEVE that Jesus died for my sins, and on the third day you raised him from the grave and today He lives.  I ask you to forgive me of my sins, and come into my heart and cleanse me of my sins.  If you have prayed this prayer with me, you now are saved and have ETERNAL LIFE  in glory.”

We encourage you to find a local Bible Teaching Church and begin to study and fellowship with other believers.  You can also return back here daily and study God’s word with us.  We share the truth of the scriptures daily, and you will find over 1000 topics for study and discussions.  May the saving grace of our Lord and Savior be with you now and forever, in Jesus name, AMEN!

We thank each one of you for your participation in our PRAYER, PRAISE AND WORSHIP SERVICES and all the many lessons we teach daily.  May the Lord add a blessing to your life as you share these lessons with others to add blessings and value to theirs as well, in Jesus name, Amen!

SATURDAY/ SUNDAY MORNING DEVOTIONAL SERVICE OF PRAYER AND PRAISE 72 IN GOD I TRUST

SATURDAY/ SUNDAY MORNING DEVOTIONAL SERVICE OF PRAYER AND PRAISE 72 IN GOD I TRUST

My Brothers and Sisters, we enter into the presence of the Lord to Worship Him and Serve Him.  Sometimes our hearts are troubled and we find it difficult to understand why we are having to face down our enemies day in and day out, week end and week out.  The stress upon our daily lives seems to be beating us down and sometimes we feel like we want to just give up and let the enemy have his way. But I tell you for a believer, this should never be an option.  You should always be able to find enough strength within your FAITH to lift up your heads towards heaven and say, “IN GOD I TRUST!”

David faced a similar situation from his own countrymen, and he turned to the Lord in prayer for God’s gracious help in view of the constant harassment of his pursuers, and this is David’s prayer:

LET US PRAY THIS PRAYER WITH DAVID THIS MORNING:

Be gracious to me, O God, for man tramples on me;
all day long an attacker oppresses me;
my enemies trample on me all day long,
for many attack me proudly.
When I am afraid,
I put my trust in you.
In God, whose word I praise,
in God I trust; I shall not be afraid.
What can flesh do to me?

All day long they injure my cause;

all their thoughts are against me for evil.
They stir up strife, they lurk;
they watch my steps,
as they have waited for my life. AMEN! (Psalm 56:1-6 ESV)

LIFT THE LORD UP IN HIGH PRAISES:

Now put your hands together and open your mouth wide and give the Lord a big shout out of hallelujah praises. When prayer and praises go up, faith breaks out all over the place.  David said, whenever I am afraid, “I will trust in you Lord.”  This cheerful courage is based on the character of God and on the faithfulness of His promises.  He is more powerful than all our foes combined, and He has promised to protect us from harm.  Nothing can penetrate the protective hedge which He sets up around us except by His permissive will.  This is why we can trust in God without a fear.

My Brothers and Sisters let us be bold in our praises before the Lord, for He is truly worthy.  What can mere man do to me, I ask you?  If I reason, I might answer, “Plenty.”  Man can persecute, injure, maim, shoot, and even kill me.  But the fact is that the child of God which I am, and you are, is immortal until his work is done.  Also we should understand David’s fearlessness in the light of our Savior’s words.

And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul.  But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.  (Matthew 10:28)

My Brothers and Sisters let this be a day of remembrances that the Lord is good all the time, and He will never fail you nor forsake you, therefore, when your enemies come upon you to do harm to you, STAND YOUR GROUND and say out loud, “IN GOD I TRUST!”

This concludes our SATURDAY/ SUNDAY MORNING DEVOTIONAL SERVICE OF PRAYER AND PRAISE 72 IN GOD I TRUST!

We will return in a few hours to continue our Sunday portion of our PRAYER, PRAISE AND WORSHIP SERVICE 72 titles: STIR UP YOUR GIFT!

Until we meet in our next session, may God bless each of you ABUNDANTLY!

EXPERIENCING THE FREEDOM OF ETERNAL LIFE (BY PASTOR DAVIS)

EXPERIENCING THE FREEDOM OF ETERNAL LIFE (Photo of Pastor Davis by Pastor Davis)

With the arrival of Jesus, the Messiah, that fateful dilemma is resolved. Those who enter into Christ’s being-here-for-us no longer have to live under a continuous, low-lying black cloud. A new power is in operation. The Spirit of life in Christ, like a strong wind, has magnificently cleared the air, freeing you from a fated lifetime of brutal tyranny at the hands of sin and death.

God went for the jugular when he sent his own Son. He didn’t deal with the problem as something remote and unimportant. In his Son, Jesus, he personally took on the human condition, entered the disordered mess of struggling humanity in order to set it right once and for all. The law code, weakened as it always was by fractured human nature, could never have done that.

The law always ended up being used as a Band-Aid on sin instead of a deep healing of it. And now what the law code asked for but we couldn’t deliver is accomplished as we, instead of redoubling our own efforts, simply embrace what the Spirit is doing in us.

Those who think they can do it on their own end up obsessed with measuring their own moral muscle but never get around to exercising it in real life. Those who trust God’s action in them find that God’s Spirit is in them—living and breathing God! Obsession with self in these matters is a dead end; attention to God leads us out into the open, into a spacious, free life. Focusing on the self is the opposite of focusing on God. Anyone completely absorbed in self ignores God, ends up thinking more about self than God. That person ignores who God is and what he is doing. And God isn’t pleased at being ignored.

But if God himself has taken up residence in your life, you can hardly be thinking more of yourself than of him. Anyone, of course, who has not welcomed this invisible but clearly present God, the Spirit of Christ, won’t know what we’re talking about. But for you who welcome him, in whom he dwells—even though you still experience all the limitations of sin—you yourself experience life on God’s terms. It stands to reason, doesn’t it, that if the alive-and-present God who raised Jesus from the dead moves into your life, he’ll do the same thing in you that he did in Jesus, bringing you alive to himself? When God lives and breathes in you (and he does, as surely as he did in Jesus), you are delivered from that dead life. With his Spirit living in you, your body will be as alive as Christ’s!

Jesus teaches us to have Empathy for our Brethren

Do you ever experience Empathy for your Brethren?

Living in the Light (Photo by Pastor Davis)

Living in the Light (Photo by Pastor Davis)

OUR CAPACITY FOR EMPATHY IS A RESOURCE OF LIMITLESS POTENTIAL

Here is how the dictionary defines the word EMPATHY.  It says empathy is defined as the identification with and understanding of another’s situation as in; if I put myself in your shoes, I can understand how angry you must be about not getting that promotion.  Empathy is distinguished from sympathy which is defined as the ability to share the feelings of another as in I am so sorry about the death of your co-worker.

My Bishop, whom I consider a true Prophet a man of much knowledge and wisdom once made the wise observation, and he said to me, “That a person wrapped up in his or her own self, makes a very small package.  Such a person is a self-centered individual.  The dimensions of their life are dwarfed and limited.”

This was the situation that Jesus found himself in when he attended a dinner party in his honor at the home of Simon.  Jesus teaches us a real down to earth lesson when a sinful woman enters into his presents; now listen to how Jesus handles the situation:

One of the Pharisees asked him to eat with him, and he went into the Pharisee‘s house and reclined at the table. And behold, a woman of the city, who was a sinner, when she learned that he was reclining at table in the Pharisee’s house, brought an alabaster flask of ointment, and standing behind him at his feet, weeping, she began to wet his feet with her tears and wiped them with the hair of her head and kissed his feet and anointed them with the ointment. Now when the Pharisee who had invited him saw this, he said to himself, “If this man was a prophet, he would have known who and what sort of woman this is who is touching him, for she is a sinner.” And Jesus answering said to him, “Simon, I have something to say to you.” And he answered, “Say it, Teacher.”

“A certain moneylender had two debtors. One owed five-hundred denarius, and the other fifty. When they could not pay, he cancelled the debt of both. Now which of them will love him more?” Simon answered, “The one, I suppose, for whom he cancelled the larger debt.” And he said to him, “You have judged rightly.” Then turning toward the woman he said to Simon, “Do you see this woman? I entered your house; you gave me no water for my feet, but she has wet my feet with her tears and wiped them with her hair. You gave me no kiss, but from the time I came in she has not ceased to kiss my feet. You did not anoint my head with oil, but she has anointed my feet with ointment. Therefore I tell you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven—for she loved much. But he who is forgiven little, loves little.” And he said to her, “Your sins are forgiven.” Then those who were at table with him began to say among themselves, “Who is this, who even forgives sins?”  And he said to the woman, “Your faith has saved you; go in peace.”  (Luke 7:36-50 ESV)

Now let us example some of the lessons Jesus taught us in this story:

Through empathy a person learns not to judge others in terms of his or her own personal interests, likes and dislikes, but in terms of what life means to them.

Through the power of a person’s creative imagination, empathy enables a person to project themselves into the consciousness of others that they may know how the other person may think and how they feel.  Sympathy merely mirrors another person’s trouble; empathy discovers the causes of the trouble with the searchlight of insight.

Through empathy a person may closely identify themselves with anyone he or she may wish to understand.  They may seek inspiration from the gifted, the victorious, the happy.  They may develop a deep comprehension of the problems of the blind, the crippled, the sorrowing and the defeated.

Empathy helps to create harmony in the home.  Family members may play the roles of each other.  For instance, the father can play the part of the son and the son the part of the father, that each may learn to know and appreciate the feelings of the other.

Practicing the art of empathy will enlarge a person’s life.  It will broaden their humanity, expand their understanding and inspire tolerance and forbearance, compassion and forgiveness.

Finally, all of you have unity of mind, sympathy, brotherly love, a tender heart, and a humble mind.  (1 Peter3:8 ESV)  Now my brothers and sisters may the grace of the Lord be with you as you show empathy for your brethren.

MONDAY’S WORD OF ENCOURAGEMENT

I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into me; I am-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency].  (Philippians 4:13 AMP)

My dear brothers and sisters, it is my hope and prayer that the Word for this day and week has encouraged you in some small way not to allow the devil to steal your joy and keep you from reaching your destination which the Lord has determined for you.  Make this a day of sharing and caring and being kind by showing that brotherly love and affection towards one another, always with a song and a prayer in your heart.  Thank you for being a part of this ministry and sharing the word of God with those who have ears to hear and a open mind to receive.  May the Lord our God bless you abundantly this week as you walk out your purpose.

You are perfect right now

YOU ARE PERFECT RIGHT NOW

YOU ARE CALLED BY THE WORD OF GOD

YOU ARE CALLED BY THE WORD OF GOD

By Pastor Davis M. Byars, Jr.

You therefore must be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect. (Matthew 5:48 ESV)

The disciple is not above his master: but every one that is perfect shall be as his master.  (Luke 6:40 KJV)

You are perfect right now, because you are right where you are suppose to be.  If you were not, God would have placed you in a different place and a higher level of consciousness for this moment and time.  Therefore, you are who you are, where you are right this very moment because of your own individual thoughts.

My brothers and sisters, I present this lesson to you today that you may be fully equipped by the grace of God, filled with the Holy Spirit and His wisdom and knowledge will empower you to understand that “YOU ARE TRULY PERFECT RIGHT NOW!”  I do however; recognize that everyone that reads this message will not understand it and some of you will even criticize me for writing it.  But I say to you what the bible says, and that is “GET UNDERSTANDING!”  Know the truth and the truth will set you FREE.

I am constantly reminded by people that nobody is perfect. When I ask them to explain their thoughts, they mostly draw a blank and then say that only God is perfect. To here Christians make such a broad statement only shows ignorant to the word of God because the scripture is full of reference of the perfect individual.  The word of God says, “You therefore must be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.”  (Matthew 5:48 ESV)

Every time I hear someone say these words, “But nobody is perfect!” I cringe.  Why?  Because most of the time, they are looking at the imperfect lives of others and using the weaknesses of others to excuse some sin or issue in their own life.  We need to stop comparing ourselves to one another, and begin to compare ourselves to the one that we are to be conformed to His image…that is Jesus Christ… who set an example of what He wants to see in us.

For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. (Romans 8:29 NIV)

Saying that nobody is perfect puts a serious damper on God’s ability to transform us. “Be ye therefore transformed by the renewing of your mind. (Romans 12:2)  When we deny what God can do, it turns a positive (our ability to become perfect) into a negative (we’ll never be perfect).

You, therefore, must be perfect [growing into complete maturity of godliness in mind and character, [reached the proper height of virtue and integrity], as your heavenly Father is perfect.  (Matthew 5:48 AMP)

PERFECT INDIVIDUALS IN THE BIBLE

“Gen 6:9 — Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God. 22Thus did Noah; according to all that God commanded him, so did he.”

Job 1:8 And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil?” The Word of God says that Job has not committed sin. “Job1:22 In all this Job sinned not,—“

Gen 17:1 And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect”.Abraham fulfilled what God has required of him and received the testimony even from Jesus Christ. “John 8:39They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus saith unto them, If ye were Abraham’s children, ye would do the works of Abraham.”

2 King 20:3 I beseech thee, O LORD, remember now how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thy sight.” King Hezekiah had asked God to extend his life when he was sick and God favored him and gave him and additional 15 years.

We see in the book of Philippians that the Apostle Paul was speaking to those who were already perfect in the Church of Philippians. This proves that there were perfect people in the Church. “Phil 3:15 Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in anything ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you.” The Apostle rebukes the Corinthian Church for its sins. However, in the middle of the rebuke, he recognizes that there are perfect people in the Church and speaks in spiritual wisdom to those perfect ones. “1 Cor 2:6 Howbeit we speak wisdom among themthat are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world.”

THE CHURCH DOCTRINE

It is truly unfortunately that too many of our Churches teach a false doctrine to the Children of God which allows them to think wrongly about Becoming that perfect individual.  They teach an evasive false doctrine saying that it is impossible for man to become perfect.  How can that possibly be when Jesus teaches and leads by example that nothing is impossible?  The Word of God teaches us that all things are possible to those who believe.  This leads the members to repeat such a false doctrine to others and the teaching is carried on by the members as they spread this false doctrine deep into the world.  However, God’s purpose for the Church is to perfect believers even to the measure of the perfection of Jesus Christ.

Now let’s see what the word of God has to say concerning the Church’s teaching on this matter as we open the book of Ephesians 4:11-14 AMP)  11 And His gifts were [varied; He Himself appointed and gave men to us] some to be apostles (special messengers), some prophets (inspired preachers and expounders), some evangelists (preachers of the Gospel, traveling missionaries), some pastors (shepherds of His flock) and teachers.

12 His intention was the perfecting and the full equipping of the saints (His consecrated people), [that they should do] the work of ministering toward building up Christ’s body (the church),

13 [That it might develop] until we all attain oneness in the faith and in the comprehension of the [[a]full and accurate] knowledge of the Son of God, that [we might arrive] at really mature manhood (the completeness of personality which is nothing less than the standard height of Christ’s own perfection), the measure of the stature of the fullness of the Christ and the completeness found in Him.

14 So then, we may no longer be children, tossed [like ships] to and fro between chance gusts of teaching and wavering with every changing wind of doctrine, [the prey of] the cunning and cleverness of [b]unscrupulous men, [gamblers engaged] in every shifting form of trickery in inventing errors to mislead.

THE MINISTRY OF TEACHING

In the Ministry of Teaching, Jesus appointed the apostles to be special massagers to present every man perfect in Christ Jesus.  Therefore, when we look in the book of Colossians 1:28-29 AMP)  28 Him we preach and proclaim, warning and admonishing everyone and instructing everyone in all wisdom ([a]comprehensive insight into the ways and purposes of God), that we may present every person mature (full-grown, fully initiated, complete, and perfect) in Christ (the Anointed One).

29 For this I labor [[b]unto weariness], striving with all the [c]superhuman energy which He so mightily enkindles and works within me.

THE VINE AND THE BRANCH

The vine and the branch connects you to that real perfection in Christ Jesus, by abiding in him you will receive the same power as the sap from the vine to become powerful and produce an abundant harvest, because the bible says it this way, “I am the Vine; you are the branches. Whoever lives in Me and I in him bears much (abundant) fruit. However, apart from Me [cut off from vital union with Me] you can do nothing.

If a person does not dwell in Me, he is thrown out like a [broken-off] branch, and withers; such branches are gathered up and thrown into the fire, and they are burned.

If you live in Me [abide vitally united to Me] and My words remain in youand continue to live in your hearts, ask whatever you will, and it shall be done for you.

When you bear (produce) much fruit, My Father is honored and glorified, and you show and prove yourselves to be true followers of Mine.  (John 15:5-8 AMP)

LIVING THE PERFECT LIFE

THE UNIVERSE OPERATES IN PERFECT HARMONY

The universe is always operating in perfection and harmony. When we align ourselves with it, we will experience the same perfection and harmony for ourselves. That is how living the perfect life is possible. It is an illusion that the world tries to pull over our eyes about what the perfect life is about and how it is supposed to look. The truth is that the perfect life for every individual is different and unique according to the special purpose and life path that the universe has for them. All they have to do is to go for it.

When you are connected with your true self, you know what is it you are being guided to do and you will be doing it. You will know that it is the best thing in the world for you to be doing in that moment and therefore you are perfectly satisfied about doing it. You are totally presence to the moment and are truly living life in the now. You are following the spirit always. You are connected to the essence of who you really are which is the power and the presence of God that is expressing itself through you.

You never have to worry about whether you can be what you want to be, do what you want to do or have what you want to have. Because whatever that you are meant to be, do or have has already been chosen by the larger you as the universe for the smaller you that is living in this world. What you are meant to be, do and have is the best choice that you could ever experience because it is that which fully satisfies the innermost desires of your heart. Your deepest heart desires are also given by the universe.

WHERE YOU ARE THIS MOMENT IS PERFECT

Godliness with contentment is great gain.

A devout life does bring wealth, but it’s the rich simplicity of being yourself before God. Since we entered the world penniless and will leave it penniless, if we have bread on the table and shoes on our feet, that’s enough.  (1Timothy 6:6 MSG)

Those who know they have enough are truly wealthy. What you have and what you are getting now is enough. Where you are is perfect because it is exactly where you need to be. Perfection is not something that you have to wait for until one day when it comes. Perfection exists in every moment. It is because every step of the way is part of the process. The process does not exist without the steps. Every step is perfection itself and when you are in it, you are perfect.

The universe operates all things in such perfect precision and harmony that you will only be presented with a situation at the right time and when you are ready for it. Everything occurs as part of the universal plan. You will always be provided with the resources you need in the moment, not before or after. When you know the divine power that is always taking care of you, and have the awareness of all things happening in DIVINE ORDER and DIVINE TIMING, you will be perfectly contented in every moment.

Yes, that is correct, perfectly contented in every moment.  You don’t have to try and allow this moment, for this moment is already allowed to be exactly as it is.  You don’t even have to except this moment, for this moment has already been accepted.  Acceptance is not something that you “do” it’s what you are.

Experiencing Unity Through Humility

He took on the status of a Slave

If you’ve gotten anything at all out of following Christ, if his love has made any difference in your life, if being in a community of the Spirit means anything to you, if you have a heart, if you care— then do me a favor: Agree with each other, love each other, be deep-spirited friends. Don’t push your way to the front; don’t sweet-talk your way to the top. Put yourself aside, and help others get ahead. Don’t be obsessed with getting your own advantage. Forget yourselves long enough to lend a helping hand.  (Philippians 2:1-4 Msg)

Now my Brothers and Sisters, may the love of Christ Jesus reside in each of you this day and throughout the rest of your lives as you learn to share and Experience Unity Through Humility.  I leave you with my peace and the peace of the Lord. “BE BLESSED”

How to experience Humility as a way of Life

How to experience Humility as a way of Life

THE TOWER OF STRENGTH (PHOTO BY PASTOR DAVIS)

THE TOWER OF STRENGTH (PHOTO BY PASTOR DAVIS)

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, do you really understand who you are when you look into the mirror and see that face looking back at you?  Do you ever ask the question, Oh God, who am I?  What I want you to understand in this lesson and the many lessons we teach here is How Humility works to bring you into the knowledge and power of  just who you are, who God is, and who you are in God.  Re-read and comprehend this last statement because it holds more power than an atom bomb.

The reward for HUMILITY and fear of the LORD is RICHES and HONOR and LIFE. (Proverbs 22:4 ESV) Now I ask you, how many of you do not want to experience these blessings in your life. God is teaching us how to live as that new person in this season and experience a true abundant lifestyle, BY LEARNING HOW TO EXPERIENCE HUMILITY AS A WAY OF LIFE!

In this, we are given a choice, we can befriend God are we can befriend the world. Some of us may say that we will befriend both God and the world, but in practice, we can only choose one way. The more we give ourselves to the world, the stronger will be our allegiance to the world. The more we give ourselves to God, the stronger will be our bond with him. This is what Jesus says, “Wherever your treasure is, there your heart and thoughts will also be. (Matthew 6:21)

We have to remember, that we can find strength in the Lord, to live a humble lifestyle and receive all the lords abundant BLESSINGS. Although the world may consider us weak, when we show HUMILITY, this is because the world wants us to be filled with pride, and God sets himself against the proud, because pride makes us self-centered and leads us to conclude that we deserve all we can see, touch, or imagine. It creates greedy appetites far more than we need. Pride can subtly cause us to no longer see our sins or our need for forgiveness.

But remember this one great truth, HUMILITY opens the way for God’s grace to flow into our lives; thus, God shows favor to the HUMBLE.

Do not get so caught up in the ways of the world and the people that surrounds you, that you lose sight of who you are, who God is, who you are in God, that your heart becomes so hearten that you cannot HUMBLE yourselves in the presence of the Lord.

Understand this fact, “HUMILITY is not weakness; instead, it is the only place that believers gain courage to face all their temptations and sins with God’s strength.” As God gives us more grace, we realize that this world’s seductive attractions are only cheap substitutes for what God has to offer. It is our choice we can HUMBLE ourselves and receive God’s grace, or we can continue in our pride and self-sufficiency and experience his anger.

Now let me conclude this by leaving you with these two questions; (1). How do we, so prone to pride at the very moment when we think we might be approaching humility, discover true humility? (2). How do we become the kind of humble people who find the overflowing grace that God promises?

Well, listen to how Scripture teaches us to do it; “Let God work his will in you. Yell a loud no to the Devil and watch him scamper. Say a quiet yes to God and he’ll be there in no time. Quit dabbling in sin. Purify your inner life. Quit playing the field. Hit bottom, and cry your eyes out. The fun and games are over. Get serious, really serious. Get down on your knees before the Master; it’s the only way you’ll get on your feet.” (James 4:7-10 MSG)

May the grace of God fill your lives with His overflowing blessings, and bring you much joy and peace now and forever, in Jesus name, AMEN!

GOD IS THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD (PHOTO BY PASTOR DAVIS)

GOD IS THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD (PHOTO BY PASTOR DAVIS)

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, this day sets forth for each of us another day of possibilities.  Choose ye this day how you shall live and enjoy all that has been set before you as you journey through this moment and time.  Hold onto God’s unchanging hands, because He is the light of the world and in Him, there is no darkness.

Now open your hearts and minds and allow the WORD to fill you with joy and peace, for this is your day to believe in the possibilities of what is!

The Word was first,
the Word present to God,
God present to the Word.
The Word was God,
in readiness for God from day one.

3-5 Everything was created through him;
nothing—not one thing!—
came into being without him.
What came into existence was Life,
and the Life was Light to live by.
The Life-Light blazed out of the darkness;
the darkness couldn’t put it out.

6-8 There once was a man, his name John, sent by God to point out the way to the Life-Light. He came to show everyone where to look, who to believe in. John was not himself the Light; he was there to show the way to the Light.

9-13 The Life-Light was the real thing:
Every person entering Life
he brings into Light.
He was in the world,
the world was there through him,
and yet the world didn’t even notice.
He came to his own people,
but they didn’t want him.
But whoever did want him,
who believed he was who he claimed
and would do what he said,
He made to be their true selves,
their child-of-God selves.
These are the God-begotten,
not blood-begotten,
not flesh-begotten,
not sex-begotten.

14 The Word became flesh and blood,
and moved into the neighborhood.
We saw the glory with our own eyes,
the one-of-a-kind glory,
like Father, like Son,
Generous inside and out,
true from start to finish.  (John 1:1-14 MSG)

WEDNESDAY INSPIRATIONAL AND MOTIVATIONAL SERVICES 14

Good Morning My Brothers and Sisters, today we greet you in the name and love of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  For it is another day that He has blessed us to share his word with you for the uplifting and building of his kingdom.  For the old devil is moving through this land and the minds of the Children of God making every effort to tear down and destroy their lives.  But the Lord has a word for you to enable you to with stand the trials and tribulations that will come upon you this day.

Now click on the video below as Pastor Davis presents to you a word from God to encourage and strengthen you for your journey this day.

Be strong, courageous, and firm; fear not nor be in terror before them, for it is the Lord your God Who goes with you; He will not fail you or forsake you.  (Deuteronomy 31:6 AMP)

Have not I commanded you? Be strong, vigorous, and very courageous. Be not afraid, neither be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. (Joshua 1:9 AMP)

For God did not give us a spirit of timidity (of cowardice, of craven and cringing and fawning fear), but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of calm and well-balanced mind and discipline and self-control. (2 Timothy 1:7 AMP)

May the peace and blessings of the Lord be with you now and always as you walk out your purpose doing the will of the Lord in Jesus name.

LIVING FOR CHRIST TRUTH MEETS REALITY PART 4

LIVING FOR CHRIST TRUTH MEETS REALITY PART 4

YOU CAN BECOME PERFECT THROUGH SUFFERING

Know the truth and the truth will set you free

Know the truth and the truth will set you free

You therefore must be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect. (Matthew 5:48 ESV)

When truth meets reality you will become perfect, by denying self and allowing the spirit of Jesus Christ to come alive and dwell within you.  Know the truth and the truth will set you free. The time is now to be released from the chains of bondage in order that this moment will become perfect in your brand new life in Christ.  In the book of John, the bible says if you would live in me I will live in you and you will bare much fruit.  In other words, you will be changed, you will become new, having being transformed from the inside out and you are now made perfect in Jesus Christ through your suffering for his sake.

Jesus Christ was God and had equal status with God the Most High. But when he became a man, with no godly power attributes, he had to endure suffering in order to become perfect. “Heb 5:8-9 though he was a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered; And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;”

We are called to obey him by following his steps for the heavenly journey. In this we will have to endure sufferings. But through these sufferings, God will make us perfect. So, we must enter in through the tight gate to endure suffering to become perfect. If we run away from it, we cannot become perfect.

The grace of God is taught as a good gesture of God, which is given to most Christians. This grace will accept a sinning person into heaven. But in truth, grace is the power and presence of God, which is given to those who are humble. This grace will strive with them, endure sufferings and will make them perfect.

“1 Pet 5:10 But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.”

For you have been granted [the privilege] for Christ’s sake not only to believe in (adhere to, rely on, and trust in) Him, but also to suffer in His behalf. (Philippians 1:29 AMP)  But when you have obeyed him, suffered through the agony, temptations, trials and tribulations in this life on his behalf, he will strengthen you, and enable you to walk in the path way as he recreate within you a brand new spirit and make you perfect.

Now listen to what he says about you walking through the pathway of righteousness.  “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me.

Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you. (Matthew 5:11-12)

Therefore, let us understand that when TRUTH MEETS REALITY, we are justified (acquitted, declared righteous, and given a right standing with God) through faith, let us [grasp the fact that we] have [the peace of reconciliation to hold and to enjoy] peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One).

Through Him also we have [our] access (entrance, introduction) by faith into this grace (state of God’s favor) in which we [firmly and safely] stand. And let us rejoice and exult in our hope of experiencing and enjoying the glory of God.

Moreover [let us also be full of joy now!] let us exult and triumph in our troubles and rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that pressure and affliction and hardship produce patient and unswerving endurance.

And endurance (fortitude) develops maturity of character (approved faith and tried integrity). And character [of this sort] produces [the habit of] [e]joyful and confident hope of eternal salvation.

Such hope never disappoints or deludes or shames us, for God’s love has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit Who has been given to us. (Romans 5:1-5 AMP)

Now be encouraged My Brothers and Sisters and know that your living for Christ Jesus is not in vain because Truth will meet Reality when you let go of self and live in Him, live for Him and He will live in you and your results will be Perfect.

LIVING FOR CHRIST TRUTH MEETS REALITY

THE LIGHT OF TRUTH (PHOTO BY PASTOR DAVIS)

THE LIGHT OF TRUTH (PHOTO BY PASTOR DAVIS)

Good Morning my Brothers and Sisters, yes it is Monday and the beginning of our brand new week living and working in the physical world where we discover the many difficulties of this life when Truth meets Reality.  We encourage you to Be Strong, Be Courageous, stay focus and keep your eye on the prize of Jesus Christ.  For He never assigns you a task that he does not first empowers you with all the necessary tools to carry it out and complete it with time to spare.

He has made you perfect for this moment in time, your job is to be an obedient servant and walk out your assigned purpose doing His Will as you come face to face in the space and time where, “Truth meets Reality!”

This week we will be studying Romans 12:1-2, learning how we can live for Christ when Truth meets Reality.  The Bible tells us to know the Truth and the Truth will set us Free.  How we get to that truth will be the basics of our teaching this week.  Here is what Romans says, Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.  This is the reality of the truth we must come to know if we are to live for Christ.

Now let me share this truth with you as we begin this week in the newness of the Holy Spirit working through us.  There is but one religion, and that religion is the religion of Truth.  There is also but one error, and that error is of self.  Sometimes we allow self to get in the way of Truth.  Where self is, we will not find Truth, where Truth is self is not.  Therefore, let us discover Truth within ourselves about ourselves and move self out of the way and learn to live each day for Christ.  Jesus declared that if any man wishes to be His Disciple, he must deny himself daily.

Finally, let us learn that self is the denial of Truth.  Truth is the denial of self.  As you let self die, you will be reborn in Truth.  As you cling to self, truth will be hidden from you.  Now know this,  “LIVING FOR CHRIST TRUTH WILL MEET REALITY!

YOU ARE CALLED TO ENJOY THE REWARDS OF YOUR ETERNAL LIFE

YOU ARE CALLED TO ENJOY THE REWARDS OF YOUR ETERNAL LIFE

SATURDAY SUNDAY MORNING OF DEVOTIONAL PRAYER AND PRAISE 79

YOU ARE CALLED BY THE WORD OF GOD

YOU ARE CALLED BY THE WORD OF GOD

Good Morning My Dear Brothers and Sisters, as we all continue to enjoy the 4th of July weekend holiday, it is my hope and prayer that in all our doing that we not allow the evil one to steal our joy and the eternal life that has been planned for us.  Therefore, the Lord placed upon my heart to share with you this weekend His benefits of your Eternal Life.

The word “ETERNAL” means without beginning and without end, denoting a continual existence including past, present, and future, as it is applied to human existence, the Bible indicates that the  spirit or soul is indestructible and eventually returns to God who gave it (Eccl. 12:7). This thought is expressed by Paul who attests to God’s overall plan whereby God is “all in all” (I Cor. 15:24-28). Thus, one might well say that eternal life includes the present, or “Today is the first day of the rest of your eternal life.”

Just as there are rewards for followers of Christ, there are judgments of the works of both believers and nonbelievers. Jesus said that all authority to judge the living and the dead is his (John 5:22;17:2; Acts 10:42;I Peter 4:5). In a sense, failure to receive blessings because of failure to ask, asking wrongly, or continued anxiety and fear by not heeding the teachings of the SERMON ON THE MOUNT are all indicative of a present judgment. As the proverbs say, “The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion” (Proverb.28:1) and “the way of the wicked is as darkness: they know not at what they stumble” (Prov. 4:16). As we have seen, Jesus assured his listeners that a follower of his and a doer of his words is assured of having his or her needs met and eternal life, including the glories of the resurrection-life (Mk. 10:28-30).

The New Testament sets out a concept of a gradation of reward for believers based upon their Christian good works (Matt. 16:27), their works being tested as by fire (I Cor. 3:13-15). In this respect, the epistles frequently warn believers against backsliding and the loss of reward.  [Note the six warnings in the Book of Hebrews 3:7-13;4:1-11; 5:11-14; 6:1-9; 10:26-39; 12; also 11Peter 2:20-22]

A righteous person will receive a righteous person’s reward (Matt. 10:41), and one who shows compassion in Jesus’ name will not lose his or her reward (Matt. 10:42;Mk. 9:41). Those who reject the Father and the Son will be judged, and punishment will be meted out for the wrongs which they have committed (Col. 3:25).

They are as “cast into outer darkness where there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth” (Matt. 22:13;24:51; 25:30).   Those who seek after the plaudits of men have their reward (Matt. 6:2). One should enter in by the “narrow gate” to life, for “broad is the way which leads to destruction” (Matt. 7:13-14). Therefore, one should not lay up for himself or herself material treasures on earth, but should lay up treasures in heaven, for “where your treasure is, there will your heart be also” (Matt. 6:19-21).

God is merciful, and Jesus stands at the door and knocks. If anyone hears his voice and opens the door, he will enter and they shall dine together. But there is a reckoning, and the son of man will separate the “sheep” from the “goats. “Those who have helped the less fortunate and have done it for Jesus shall inherit the kingdom. Those who have not helped others have failed Jesus and will receive punishment (Matt. 25:31-46).

The meting out of judgment is portrayed in Revelation depicting God as sitting on a great white throne judging the dead according to their works. The books are opened including the book of life. Anyone whose name is not found in the book of life is subject to punishment.

It is decreed that the enemies of God and mankind be cast into the “lake of fire.” These include Satan, the false prophet, and the beast who has opposed God, death, Hades, and “whoever was not found written in the book of life” (Rev. 20:10-15).

There is also described a new heaven, a new earth, and a new Jerusalem in which there reside only those who are over comers and those who are “athirst of the fountain.” These are given the water of life freely (Rev. 21:1-27). “And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. I am the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last” (Rev. 22:12-13).

My Brothers and Sisters as we close this lesson for today let me leave you with this last very important note from the Preacher.  He says,  “The end of the matter; all has been heard. Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man. For God will bring every deed into judgment, withevery secret thing, whether good or evil.” (Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 ESV)

OVERCOMING SIN THE SWEET PERFUMES OF PENITENCE

OVERCOMING SIN THE SWEET PERFUMES OF PENITENCE

THURSDAY SCRIPTURES OF ENCOURAGEMENT IN TRUTH

My dear brothers and sisters as we enter into the 4th of July weekend celebrations, I encourage you to pay close attention to our message for this day.  It is one designed to encourage you in your walk with the Lord and move you away from the evils of sin and allow you to smell the Sweet Perfumes of Penitence.

In this Psalms Alexander Maclaren once said, “The alchemy of divine love can extract sweet perfumes of pentence and praise out of the filth of sin.”  We have an illustration of this in Psalms 51. As the heading explains it was written by David, after Nathan the prophet had boldly exposed him for committing adultery with Bathsheba and for murdering Uriah.  Utterly convicted of his sin David pours out this torrent of penitence from his broken and contrite heart.

Now let us listen to the word of God from this Psalms from my brother in Christ Jesus from the Harvest House family ministry.

WHERE YOU ARE THIS MOMENT IS PERFECT

WHERE YOU ARE THIS MOMENT IS PERFECT

THE PROCESS (PHOTO BY PASTOR DAVIS)

THE PROCESS (PHOTO BY PASTOR DAVIS)

THE UNIVERSE IS LIVING THROUGH YOU

THE UNIVERSE IS LIVING THROUGH YOU

MAN AND THE UNIVERSE

MAN AND THE UNIVERSE

Good Morning my brothers and sisters, it is Monday the beginning of a brand new week, a moment and time for us to be lifted up and allow our thoughts to grow as we prosper and come into the full understanding of who God is, who we really are and who we are in God as we live in this physical world and allow our thoughts to reside in the spiritual ream of the Universe.

Now listen to what Jesus told us and be enlightened, He said, “I am the Vine, you are the branches. When you’re joined with me and I with you, the relation is intimate and organic, the harvest is sure to be abundant. Separated, you can’t produce a thing.”  (John 15:5 MSG)

Therefore, let us understand that the universe is one gigantic being and we are all parts of the same being. The universe is living and expressing itself through all parts of itself. We were created as part of the universal work that is in operation. Therefore the work that we came to do is not our own but the work of the universe. Everything we need to experience a life full of joy, fulfillment and abundance is present when we walk the path that the universe has for us. It is only when we walk our own path that we experience lack, frustration and fear.

We might think that we are doing our own thing when we try to walk a different path that the universe wants us to walk. But we are not really doing what our true selves wants to do. It is because the universe is not something outside of us telling us what to do. The universe is us! The universe is your true self. You are bigger than you may realize. In the larger scheme of things, you are just a portion of the bigger you which is the universe, and you are here to do what the total you has purposed for you to do.

You and the universe are one, and when you know that, you will understand the true meaning of what it means to be in divine harmony with all that is. Everything you do has an effect on everything else that exists. There is never one thought or action of yours that is insignificant no matter how small it is. Think of your thoughts and actions as the thoughts and actions of the universe itself. Every single thought and action you make affects the whole universal you. You will never again think small about yourself.

The universe is unlimited and infinite. When you know that you are the universe, you will know that your true nature is unlimited and infinite. We only experience limitation and lack when we separate ourselves from ourselves. A branch that is cut off from the vine loses its source of supply and therefore it withers and dies. Since the universe is abundant and unlimited, all we have to do is to go with the flow and we will experience the joy of being provided in every moment and transcending limitations that we face.
