CHILDREN OF GOD, it is truly the SEASON to be filled with joy, for the Lord our God has bestowed upon each one of us many great and wonderful BLESSINGS throughout this year.  As the year begin to come to a close and the birth of our Lord and Savior JESUS CHRIST, is near, the Spirit of the Lord prompted me to remind each of you just how BLESSED you readily are because He spoke these words as a reminder from HIS SERMON ON THE MOUNT.

When Jesus saw his ministry drawing huge crowds, he climbed a hillside. Those who were apprenticed to him, the committed, climbed with him. Arriving at a quiet place, he sat down and taught his climbing companions. This is what he said:

“You’re blessed when you’re at the end of your rope. With less of you there is more of God and his rule.

“You’re blessed when you feel you’ve lost what is most dear to you. Only then can you be embraced by the One most dear to you.

“You’re blessed when you’re content with just who you are—no more, no less. That’s the moment you find yourselves proud owners of everything that can’t be bought.

“You’re blessed when you’ve worked up a good appetite for God. He’s food and drink in the best meal you’ll ever eat.

“You’re blessed when you care. At the moment of being ‘care-full,’ you find yourselves cared for.

“You’re blessed when you get your inside world—your mind and heart—put right. Then you can see God in the outside world.

“You’re blessed when you can show people how to cooperate instead of compete or fight. That’s when you discover who you really are, and your place in God’s family.

“You’re blessed when your commitment to God provokes persecution. The persecution drives you even deeper into God’s kingdom.

“Not only that—count yourselves blessed every time people put you down or throw you out or speak lies about you to discredit me. What it means is that the truth is too close for comfort and they are uncomfortable. You can be glad when that happens—give a cheer, even!—for though they don’t like it, I do! And all heaven applauds. And know that you are in good company. My prophets and witnesses have always gotten into this kind of trouble. (Matthew 5:1-12 MSG)

Brothers and Sisters, the Lord has spoken these words to you.  I ENCOURAGE you to stay focus and keep your eye on the prize during this CHRISTMAS SEASON.  Never forget that JESUS is the reason for the SEASON.

THE LORD PRAYER GARDEN (PHOTO BY PASTOR DAVIS)

Most Holy God, our Heavenly Father, we have truly been blessed to see and experience the dawn of a brand new day.  Time marches on and waits for no one.  For those of us who have received your supernatural blessings to be among the living and have the opportunity to serve a living God, we thank you and rejoice in this awesome opportunity to serve you and enjoy the great abundance of the fruit that you have provided for us on this Labor Day.  As families, friends and relatives gather together to partake of the physical foods and enjoy the fellowship they will experience with one another, we pray for the safety and sanctity of each life and that the indwelling Holy Spirit will move in a powerful way to heal the sick and afflicted, bound up the wombs of the broken hearts,  lift the Spirits of those who are in need of encouraging, put joy in the hearts of those who are grieving, put a smile on the face of those who are frowning,  recreate a brand new spirit in the hearts of those who are harboring evil and hate; for this is truly a day that you have created for change to take place as we gather together and celebrate the winding down of our summer vacations and now await for the fall to enter in.  Father we thank you for this blessing, we love you, we honor you, we lift you up in Holy Praises, and we give our all to you this day for you are truly worthy to be praised.  In Jesus name, we pray, AMEN!

RISE AND SHINE PRAISE GOD AND RECEIVE YOUR BLESSING

RISE AND SHINE PRAISE GOD AND RECEIVE YOUR BLESSING

TODAY IS YOUR DAY TO PRAISE GOD!

God’s Marvelous Light (Photo by Pastor Davis)

Rise and Shine and let us all Praise God Together as one people, one nation living in the World under the law of one God.  When we do this our Blessings will flow to us like running water.  Today is the 50th Anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King‘s Jr famous speech, “I HAVE A DREAM!”  It is a Dream that is still being realized as we awaken to the dawn of a brand new day.  The time is NOW for all God’s Children to

President Lyndon B. Johnson and Rev. Dr. Marti...

join hands and share in that DREAM as we RISE AND SHINE to the DAWN of a brand new day.

In the context of the above statement, there are some of you who might have the odyssey to ask the question, why?  Then I will respond in kind with these words, because your life today is a blessing to be cherished, although you might not see it this way.  However, just being alive is a humbling experience that most of us take for granted.  Nothing in this life is guaranteed, even our awaken this day.  Therefore, if we learn to look on our lives as a blessing and the opportunity to praise God for all he has done for us, then we should be able to shout Hallelujah, God is good, and I am going to praise him no matter how difficult things may seem at this moment in my life.  No one are no circumstances are beyond my ability to give God all my praises, for he has truly been good to me.

Now listen to how the Bible teaches us how we should praise God.  It says,“ Hallelujah! You, who serve God, praise God! Just to speak his name is praise! Just to remember God is a blessing— now and tomorrow and always.  From east to west, from dawn to dusk, keep lifting all your praises to God!

God is higher than anything and anyone, outshining everything you can see in the skies. Who can compare with God, our God, so majestically enthroned, Surveying his magnificent heavens and earth?  He picks up the poor from out of the dirt, rescues the wretched who’ve been thrown out with the trash, Seats them among the honored guests, a place of honor among the brightest and best.  He gives childless couples a family, gives them joy as the parents of childrenHallelujah(Psalm 113:1-9 MSG).

Hallelujah! Praise God in his holy house of worshippraise him under the open skies;
Praise him for his acts of powerpraise him for his magnificent greatness; Praise with a blast on the trumpetpraise by strumming soft stringsPraise him with castanets and dancepraise him with banjo and flutePraise him with cymbals and a big bass drumpraise him with fiddles and mandolin. Let every living, breathing creature praise GodHallelujah(Psalm 150 MSG).

Now if you are one of those people who are wondering why your life and the life of your family is in such poor condition, think on this message of praise, and if you are not giving God all your praises day by day then the answer should be quite simple, and the solution to being able to get God to bless your life and lift you up out of poverty is to begin praising God for whatsoever condition you might find yourself in.  Just open your mouth and praise him even if you are facing eviction from your home are apartment, no food to eat, no job to go to, your marriage are relationship has fallen apart, you have been stricken with a crippling decease, you ought to look towards heaven and say, thank you Jesus for this opportunity to praise you, because I know that the conditions that I find myself in today, shall be no more.  Thank you for allowing me to experience your marvelous light of this day.  From this moment forward, I am going to praise you, HALLELUJAH!

MY MAXIMIZE PRAYER FOR YOU TODAY:

Today, heavenly father, I lift you up with all praises and thanksgiving as I give you all the glory for all that you have done in my life and the lives of the people that you have allowed the words of this ministry to touch throughout the world.  For you are God and there is no other greater than you. I thank you Father for the supernatural power that is working in the lives of your children throughout the world. In Jesus name we pray. Amen!  My brothers and sisters, I minister to you from a position of peace, power, purpose and prosperity.  I reamin your brother in CHRIST, PASTOR DAVIS/MASTER TEACHER!

WAIT ON THE LORD YOUR DAY OF BLESSINGS HAVE ARRIVED

WAIT ON THE LORD YOUR DAY OF BLESSINGS HAVE ARRIVED

Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, for he is like a tree planted by streams of water. (Photo by Pastor Davis)

Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, for he is like a tree planted by streams of water. (Photo by Pastor Davis)

Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him. (James 1:12 ESV)  The time has come for you to stop worrying about what tomorrow will bring.  Learn to live in the moment for tomorrow is not promised, but the abundance of God’s mercy and grace is promised to those who have the patience to wait upon the Lord.

Day by day and moment by moment, we learn to wait with patience, trusting God to supply our every need, and when you trust Him, you do not worry about the lack that you seem to be experiencing in your life, because God is a God of great abundance.  He is the source of all things that are created in this earth, and when your mind is experiencing doubt, frustrations, envy, and all the other negative things that seem to be waiting you down, pause for a moment and simply say, “This too shall pass!”

Before going any further, click on this video by Sister Yolanda Adams and truly experience the beauty of the meaning of the words, “This too shall pass!”

You see, in this world because we live in the flesh, and our thoughts are in the flesh and centered upon the things and cares of the world, we will experience the pain and difficulties of the world.  Therefore, I say to you the same words that the Scriptures speak so plainly to me; “When you are burden and feeling low with nowhere to go, no friend to turn to, cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you; he will never permit the righteous to be moved. (Psalm 55:22 ESV)

Therefore, Children of God, we speak this simple truth to you, because it is commanded of you by the word of God and it says, “WAIT ON THE LORD YOUR DAY OF BLESSINGS HAVE ARRIVED!”  God’s blessings follow you and await you at every turn: when you don’t follow the advice of those who delight in wicked schemes, when you avoid sin’s highway, when judgment and sarcasm beckon you, but you refuse. For you, the Eternal’s Word is your happiness. It is your focus—from dusk to dawn. You are like a tree; planted by flowing, cool streams of water that never run dry. Your fruit ripens in its time; your leaves never fade or curl in the summer sun. No matter what you do, you prosper. (Psalm 1:1-3 The Voice)

Now we conclude this lesson with these final words, “WAIT ON THE LORD YOUR DAY OF BLESSINGS HAVE ARRIVED!”  The message is crystal clear, and God’s Blessings has your name on them.  The question then becomes, will you trust the Lord your God and Wait on Him to for fill His Promises?  Because this is what Jesus says to you as His final word for this powerful lesson today, He says, “I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”  (John 16:33 ESV)

May God bless you abundantly in every way.  For this is truly your day to prosper.  This lesson has been ministered to you from the position of Peace, Purpose, Power and Prosperity.

WE SHOULD CONSIDER OURSELVES BLESSED AND FAVORED

WE SHOULD CONSIDER OURSELVES BLESSED AND FAVORED

WRITTEN BY SHIRLEY RHODES

"Blessed"

Today, as we begin studying this lesson pause your thoughts for a moment and think deeply on how blessed you are to be right where you are this moment in time. Now understand that all of our blessings are a gift from God, learning to recognize the vastness of his love and generosity enables us to find pleasure in praise and thanksgiving as we show gratitude and appreciation; each hurdle triumphed, is reason enough to be thankful, in so doing, WE SHOULD CONSIDER OURSELVES BLESSED AND FAVORED.

Jesus taught many principles about blessings and by following the pattern we are able to grasp the light that leads us form moments of darkness we sometimes face, to the brightness of his glory.

Jesus says, “You’re blessed when you’ve lost it all, God’s kingdom is there for the finding. You’re blessed when tears flow freely, (Matthew 5:3-12, MGS) joy comes in the morning. Every time someone cuts you down, smears and blackens your name,” count it all joy. Many sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ have been treated with acts of hate due to ignorance or lack of will on the part of others to understand the pattern, its true meaning. To those who are able to grasp the richness of it all, I can truly say, WE SHOULD CONSIDER OURSELVES BLESSED AND FAVORED.

Following the pattern is not without sacrifice in this earthly journey, trouble is all around and where-ever we find ourselves,  we must  remember to stay focused, keep our eyes on the prize, because we’re in a race for our very souls. If you are satisfied with yourself, without presence of the Holy Spirit in your life; your “self” will not satisfy you for long. Living for approval of others, doing what indulges them is as if you’re in a contest to win favor, remember our task is to be true, not popular. WE SHOULD CONSIDER OURSELVES BLESSED AND FAVORED, once we’ve made the choice and sacrifice to share in the “promise” which is available to all who are hungry, seeking truth and righteousness.

Sometimes we may find ourselves drifting like the wind, avoiding our true selves while the gentle voice of Jesus whispers, ‘come to me, surrender, give up the fight, lift your eyes toward the heavens my child, you are the love of my life,’ then WE SHOULD CONSIDER OURSELVES BLESSED AND FAVORED.

Stir up the gift of life that is within, and let go of theold order, disobedience, mistrust, spiritual disorder-malice, envy, hurtful talk/attitudes. Take hold of the new order, rebuild, renew, and respond to the offer of “Unconditional Love.”

Blessings are a Gift from God which should encourage each of us to allow the Spirit to be our guide wherein we become alert, alive, listening, agreeable, loveable, and humble, filled with compassion. We SHOULD CONSIDER OURSELVES BLESSED AND FAVORED.

When your faith kicks in and your mind has conceived these thoughts, then you will understand just how blessed and favored you really are at this moment in time. You come into the full knowledge and understanding, that it was nothing but Gods’ grace and mercy that has allowed you to be in this place at this very moment.

TODAY YOU ARE TRULY BLESSED AND HIGHLY FAVORED

TODAY YOU ARE TRULY BLESSED AND HIGHLY FAVORED

The Beautiful Trees of Nature (Photo by Pastor Davis)

Truly I say to you this day, in all that you do, lift up your eyes towards heaven and learn to thank God, honor God and to praise God daily, and watch Him fill you with knowledge and power, as He lifts you out of darkness and into His Marvelous light with the understanding that, “TODAY YOU ARE TRULY BLESSED AND HIGHLY FAVORED,” and you will begin to experience his blessing and His anointing favor over your entire life.

Praise the Lord! Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heavens! Praise him for his mighty deeds; praise him according to his excellent greatness! Praise him with trumpet sound; praise him with lute and harp! Praise him with tambourine and dance; praise him with strings and pipe! Praise him with sounding cymbals; praise him with loud clashing cymbals! Let everything that has breath praise the Lord! Praise the Lord! (Psalms 150 ESV)

How is this possible, because the Bible speaks clearly and says this, “Blessed is the man who fears the Lord, who greatly delights in his commandments?  His offspring will be mighty in the land; the generation of the upright will be blessed.  Wealth and riches are in his house, and his righteousness endures forever. Light dawns in the darkness for the upright; he is gracious, merciful, and righteous. It is well with the man who deals generously and lends; who conducts his affairs with justice. For the righteous will never be moved; he will be remembered forever.

He is not afraid of bad news; his heart is firm, trusting in the Lord. His heart is steady; he will not be afraid, until he looks in triumph on his adversaries. He has distributed freely; he has given to the poor; his righteousness endures forever his horn is exalted in honor. The wicked man sees it and is angry; he gnashes his teeth and melts away; the desire of the wicked will perish! (Psalms 112 ESV)

Yes my friends, when you awaken this morning, you were truly blessed and highly favored.  For God allowed you to open your eyes and absolve all the beauty and grace that your mind could comprehend.  Nothing was off limits to you.  Whatever choice you made this day was yours and yours alone. For the Bible clearly tells us, “choose this day who you will serve.” But for me and my family, I choose to serve and follow Jesus.

You must taste the happiness, and know by personal experience the blessedness of having Jesus in your heart.  Then His Spirit of holiness and humility, of love and self-sacrifice, and of courage and power will become as natural as your own spirit.

Your life this day is a blessing to God, to your family, to your friends, to your community, to your church and all those that God has placed in your pathway.  You are the head and not the tail, your life is flowing like a mighty river as its waters flow towards the sea, you are blossoming and becoming more beautiful, loving and kind heart, like the most beautiful roses that blossoms and spreads its beauty and aromas for the world to partake off.  Your family, friends and co-workers see you in a brand new light. You have tasted the spirit of freedom, and the Holy Spirit is now dwelling and stirring deep within your soul. Your true nature and limitless spirit now sours high above the clouds like a giant eagle when he has mastered the freedom of flight.  Now you know without a shadow of doubt that it was no one but God that shook you, awaken you, opened your eyes, lifted you out of that bed, and spoke these words to you in a crystal clear voice as He said, TODAY YOU ARE TRULY BLESSED AND HIGHLY FAVORED!”

He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers. The wicked are not so, but are like chaff that the wind drives away.” (Psalm 1:1-4 ESV)

YOU ARE BLESSED HIGHLY FAVORED AND VALUED

YOU ARE BLESSED HIGHLY FAVORED AND VALUED

BLESSED AND HIGHLY FAVORED

CAN YOU SEE YOURSELF AS SPECIAL—CHOSEN—VALUED AND PART OF THE WHOLE?

BY SHIRLEY RHODES

Each individual has VALUE and GOD BLESSES you, showers HIS FAVORS upon you, and VALUE is added to your life according to HIS grace.  The key is learning to recognize ones’ source, by diligently seeking to bring about a change in one’ life; No one else can live or walk one’s journey the choices and chances are given to all; the desire to discover ones’ true meaning in life begins with surrender and opening ones’ self to the welcoming presence of Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit. Jesus lets’ us know he is always available if we seek him in obedience, putting him first in our lives.

Jesus says, “Come unto me, all you that labor and are burdened down, I will give you rest.  Walk with me and work with me –watch how I do it. I’m meek and lowly in heart and you shall find rest for your souls. My yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” (Matthew 11: 28-30)

To grow and strengthen one’ self, you must learn to nourish with kindness, knowledge, patience and love.  These are your building blocks.

CHILDREN PERCEIVE THEIR BLESSING (PHOTO BY SHIRLEY RHODES)

CHILDREN PERCEIVE THEIR BLESSING (PHOTO BY SHIRLEY RHODES)

Our lives must unfold into the knowledge and understand that we are all a part of the universal puzzle and therefore cannot grow separated  from the whole, think of being a part of something larger than you are, there’s even greater, expansive room for growth, we must be willing to allow our thoughts to focus. If you are struggling with issues, think of your struggle as a “tug of war” the stronger team wins, remember life can also be like that sometimes.

Many of the problems in our neighborhoods, our country and the world can be conquered when we each decide to do our part, first we must see the magnitude and recognize cause and effect in people’s lives.

God rescued us from dead-end alleys and dark dungeons. He’s set us up in the kingdom of his Son he loves so much, the Son who got us out of the pit we were in, got rid of the sins we were doomed to keep repeating. (Colossians 1: 13-14-Mgs)

The mystery in a nutshell is this: CHRIST is in you, so therefore you can look forward to sharing God’s glory; it’s that simple.  He will BLESS your life, shower his FAVOR upon you, and the added VALUE will be yours to enjoy.

Life is about CHOICE, remembering to take responsibility for our ACTIONS, starts one on the road toward healing/recovery.  When you are able to FREE YOUR MIND, then you will know without a doubt, and you will begin to SEE YOURSELF AS SPECIAL—CHOSEN—VALUED AND PART OF THE WHOLE!  Your entire world will become filled with God’s BLESSINGS and FAVOR.

HOW DO WE DETERMINE THE BEGINNING

HOW DO WE DETERMINE THE BEGINNING

In our lesson yesterday, we discussed with you how to live in the beginning and blessedness of this day.  Today, we take you a step deeper into the reality of our mind power to understand how we determine the beginning.  Now come and let us join our minds and see how God intended for us to live out our lives each day.

In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.

MOTHER EARTH

The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.

The Darkness of the Night (Photo by Pastor Davis)

And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. (Genesis 1:1-3)

God spoke light into existence (Photo by Pastor Davis)

How do we determine the beginning of anything in this world of ours?  Have you discovered the vast importance of any beginnings?  Do you really know what is involved in a beginning?  Do you know the number of beginnings you are continuously been making, and do you realize their full importance?  If not, come and journey with me for a short time into the depths of your mind and let us thoughtfully explore some ignored beginnings by-way of blessedness; for blessed it is when it is wisely resorted to, and much strength and comfort it holds for the understanding of our mind.

Let us begin with this moment for each of us; it is our beginning at the greatest blessing God has given to each one of us.  It is the first day of the rest of our lives, a brand new beginning for you to take a chance, and learn to live out the rest of your brand new life.

Now here is how Jesus describes it, Jesus said, “I am alpha and omega”, the beginning and the end. Now pause your thoughts for a moment and watch this short video clip before continuing to read the rest of the story and we will meet on the other side with Jesus as alpha and omega.

By making this bold statement, Jesus opened our minds up and showed us the beginning of all life as we know it.  Therefore, when we think deeply on this and pause our thoughts and consider how in the spiritual world, the greatest things proceed from the smallest beginnings.  A light fancy may be the inception of a wonderful invention or an immortal work of art; a spoken sentence may turn the tide of history; a pure thought entertained may lead to the exercise of a world-wide regenerative power.

Then we look deeply into the material world, and as we do so, we discover that everything also, proceeds from a very small beginning.  The mightiest river is at first a rivulet over which the grasshopper could leap; the great flood commences with a few drops of rain; the sturdy oak, that has endured the storms of a thousand winters, was once an acorn.

A beginning is a cause, and as such it must be followed by an effect or a train of effects and the effect will be of the same nature as the cause.  The nature of an initial impulse determines the body of its results.  A beginning also presupposes an ending, a consummations, achievements, or goal.  A gate leads to a path and the path to some particular destination; so a beginning leads to results, and results lead to a completion.

In aiming at the life of Blessedness one of the simplest beginnings to be considered and rightly made is that which we all make everyday—the beginning of each day’s life.  How do you begin each day?  At what hour do you rise?  How do you begin your work in what frame of mind do you enter upon the sacred life of a new day?  What answer can you give your heart to these important questions?  You will find that much happiness or unhappiness follows upon the right or wrong beginning of the day, and that, when every day is wisely begun, happy and harmonious sequences will mark its course, and life in its totality will not fall far short of the ideal blessedness.

It is a right and strong beginning of the day to rise at an early hour.  Even if your worldly work does not demand it, it is wise to make of it a habit, and begin the day strongly by shaking off indolence and by putting on vigor and energy.  How are you to develop strength of will and mind and body if you begin every day by yielding to weakness?  Self-indulgence is followed by unhappiness.  Those who lie in bed till late, are not necessarily bright and cheerful and fresh, but often the prey of irritabilities, depressions, debilities, nervous disorders, abnormal fancies, and all unhappy moods.

This is the heavy price they have to pay for their daily indulgence.  Yet, so blinding is the pandering to self that, like the man taking his daily dram in the belief that it is bracing the nerves which it is all the time shattering, so the lie-in-bed is convinced that long hours of ease are necessary for him as possible remedy for those very moods and weaknesses and disorders of which his indulgence is the cause.  Men and women are unaware of the losses that they entail upon themselves by this common indulgence: loss of strength both of mind and body, loss of prosperity, loss of knowledge, and loss of happiness.

Begin the day by rising early.  If you have no object in doing so, never mind; arise, go for a gentle walk among

the beauties of nature, and you will experience buoyancy, freshness, and a delight, not to say a peace of mind, that will reward you for your effort.  One good effort is followed by another; and when a man begins the day by rising early, even though with no other purpose in view, he will find the silent early hour so conducive to clearness of mind and calmness of thought, his early morning walk so profitable in enabling him to become a consecutive thinker and so to see life and its problems, as well as himself and his affairs, in a clearer light; that in time he will rise early for the express purpose of preparing and harmonizing his mind to meet any and every difficulty with wisdom and calm strength.

repose, that he who, purposeful and strong, throws off the mantle of ease and climbs the hills to greet the morning sun will thereby climb no inconsiderable distance up the hills of blessedness and truth.

The right beginning of the day will be followed by cheerfulness at the first meal, permeating the household with a sunny influence; and the work of the day will be undertaken in a strong and confident spirit, and the whole day will be well live.

There is also a sense in which every day is to be regarded as the beginning of a new life, in which one can think, act, and live newly, and in a wiser and better spirit.  This day is truly the first day of the rest of your life. It is my birthday and I thank God for allowing me to experience another one.  “To be continued”

OBEDIENCE PUTS YOUR BLESSINGS WITHIN REACH

OBEDIENCE PUTS YOUR BLESSINGS WITHIN REACH

THE GARDEN OF EDEN (PHOTO BY SHIRLEY RHODES)

Worldly people often look at material loss, and think OBEDIENCE requires a high price, not realizing that by being obedient their blessing may be within reach.

Therefore, the bible teaches us in Psalm 27, that we must learn to wait on the Lord: Wait (trust) on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.

The Bible speaks truth to power, it is up to each one of us to seek out its truth and be empowered by the knowledge it provides us.  Remember, “OBEDIENCE PUTS YOUR BLESSINGS WITHIN REACH!” When we are filled with sin and wondering why we are lacking in our BLESSINGS, we can always find comfort and strength in the word because it will always speak to our hearts.

Now listen to what it says, “Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us,” (Hebrews 12:1 NIV).

When we are filled with sin, we struggle to move forward towards the prize that God has waiting for us.  The prize has our individual names written on it.  But because we are weighted down by sin, we are called to strip off every weight that might slow us down.  We as Christians must be “SPIRTUALLY TRIM,” and able to run the race unencumbered.  We must run with endurance the race that God has set before us, because we do not select the course, God marks it out.

There are many believers who are willing to humble themselves for the cause of Christ, and conclude that mere material possessions do not come before their desire to be OBEDIENT to the Lord.

Paul sums it up this way:  The very credentials these people are waving around as something special, I’m tearing up and throwing in the trash—along with every-thing else I used to take credit for, And why? Because of Christ; yes, all the things I once thought were so important are gone from my life. Compared to the high privilege of knowing Christ Jesus as my Master, first hand, everything I once thought I had going for me is insignificant, I’ve dumped it all in the trash so that I could embrace Christ and be embraced by him.  I gave up all inferior stuff so I could know Christ personally, experience his resurrection power, be a partner in his suffering, and go all the way with him to death itself. If there was any way to get in on the resurrection from the dead, I wanted to do it. Let’s keep focused on that goal, those who want everything God has for us. If any of you have something else in mind, something less than total commitment, God will clear your blurred vision—you’ll see it yet! Now that you’re on the right track, let’s stay on it (Philippians 3:7-11, 15-16 Mgs.)

OBEDIENCE (PHOTO BY SHIRLEY RHODES)

God wants to bless you, and He wants to do it right now.  He is your heavenly Father, and just like your earthly Father, when you do well, he rewards you, and when you are disobedient, he punishes you.  When you are OBEDIENT to your heavenly Father, He will open up the windows of Heaven an pour you out a BLESSING that your bank account will not be able to contain.  Now chew on that thought for a moment and listen to how God blesses the person that is willing to be OBEDIENT and follow His instructions, this is what He says:

How well God must like you— you don’t hang out at Sin Saloon, you don’t slink along Dead-End Road, you don’t go to Smart-Mouth College. Instead you thrill to God’s Word; you chew on Scripture day and night. You’re a tree replanted in Eden, bearing fresh fruit every month, never dropping a leaf, always in blossom. You’re not at all like the wicked, which are mere windblown dust–Without defense in court, unfit company for innocent people.

God charts the road you take.  The road they take is Skid Row. Therefore, I say to you, who are continuing to live in sin, let your minds be bathing in the power of God’s word and know that, “OBEDIENCE PUTS YOUR BLESSINGS WITHIN REACH!” “For we may not know what tomorrow holds for us, but we should be glad to know the One who holds our tomorrow.”

YOUR BLESSINGS REQUIRE YOU TO REMEMBER OTHERS

YOUR BLESSINGS REQUIRE YOU TO REMEMBER OTHERS

Written by Shirley Rhodes

Feast of the Harvest (Photo by Pastor Davis)

Remembering others during this holiday season, should be an important part of many of the choices and decisions we make as we find enjoyment in sharing the love of God and bounty of his blessings. God blessed you especially in order that you may bless others this Thanksgiving Holiday Season.

It is a journey in which we are free to participate in, and that freedom should not be wasted or shared in selfness, think of your brothers and sisters in need, help bring a smile to their face, because when we spread a little joy we all feel better.

Feeding the Hungry

Our response to what God requires of us (sharing) will be like a chain reaction of events, touching families, neighbors, friends and our communities.  Let us activate our faith, love and hope this holiday season which encourages our hearts to continue on this journey called life; of course we will encounter forces of unbelief, indifference and despair along the way but we must move about with and attitude of expectancy in all we do.  Let us be reminded that we face difficult challenges ahead and allow God to put our lives in order by respecting the government, be law-abiding, and always ready to lend a helping hand. No insults, no fights, God’s people should be big hearted and courteous (Titus 2:1-2, MGS).

Remembering others during this holiday season should encourage us to know the true meaning of giving and sacrifice; we are abiding according to the pattern Jesus has given, we gladly make sacrifices and share with others, which is Christ like. When people are truly concerned for one another they bond together in such a way it simply becomes a part of who they truly are.  Take a look at the book of Acts how believers banded together to ensure that all needs were met. As written: The whole congregations of believers were united as –one heart, one mind! They didn’t even claim ownership of their own possessions. No one said, “This is mine; or you can’t have it.” They shared everything. So it turned out that not a person among them was needy. The apostles gave powerful witness to the resurrection of the Master Jesus, and grace was on all of them (Acts 4: 32-35).

To Remember others this holiday season should be about unconditional love, the pattern of love Jesus gave us to live by. Jesus says, “I’ve loved you the way my Father has loved me; make yourselves at home in my love. This is my command: Love one another the way I have loved you. Put your life on the line for your friends, you are my friends when you do the things I command you. I’ve named you friends because I’ve let you in on everything I’ve heard from my Father. You didn’t choose me, remember, I chose you, and put you in the world to bear fruit, fruit that won’t spoil. As fruit bearers, whatever you ask the Father in relation to me, he gives to you, but remembers the root command: Love one another.

So as we are about this holiday season of thanksgiving, let us remember those less fortunate, alone, sick and in need and open our hearts in love by sharing ourselves through the love Jesus has given us. May you be blessed this season by remembering others during this holiday season?  Now let us be about God’s business as we share our blessings.  He taught us how to share by first learning how to love.  Click on this video clip, lift up your Holy Hands and share in the praise and blessings of real love.

If this message blessed you, share it with someone else and allow them to also receive a blessing.  We thank you for sharing in all that God has blessed us with this Thanksgiving.

RECOGNIZING YOUR REAL SELF AS BLESSED (LESSON FOUR)

YOUR BLESSINGSARE WAITING TO BE AWAKENED

God said Let there be Light (Photo by Pastor Davis)

In this fourth lesson, it gets to the heart of teaching you how to recognize your real self as blessed, by awaken your blessings that are lying asleep within your mind.

BLESSED (HAPPY, fortunate, prosperous, and enviable) is the man who walks and lives not in the counsel of the ungodly [following their advice, their plans and purposes], nor stands [submissive and inactive] in the path where sinners walk, nor sits down [to relax and rest] where the scornful [and the mockers] gather.

But his delight and desire are in the law of the Lord, and on His law (the precepts, the instructions, the teachings of God) he habitually meditates (ponders and studies) by day and by night. And he shall be like a tree firmly planted [and tended] by the streams of water, ready to bring forth its fruit in its season; its leaf also shall not fade or wither; and everything he does shall prosper [and come to maturity].  (Psalm 1:1-3) (AMP)

When you awaken to the reality that you are already truly blessed, and all alone you have been walking out your purpose and moving swiftly towards your destination, your entire being will become filled with light and the joy of the Lord will begin to move you higher and closer towards the victory that has been waiting for you.

New Dress the look the feel

Now let us understand where we are going, if you want a little romance in Blessing, try

New Suit the look the feel

this:  Take a favorite dress of yours if you are a woman or a favorite suit if you are a man, and bless it for a happy surprise.  Bless it, praise it, and say, “Whenever I put on this, I will receive a delightful surprise.”  Do it and see what happens!

You see All Good lies dormant in everything, only waiting to be awakened.  Nothing can or does exist except by virtue of the Mind and Substance of God.  And when you bless, you call it forth into its manifestation of reality.

It is the same idea as a seed in which the tree, bloom, and the fruit lie dormant.  To bring it forth in all its glory requires first the planting, then the tending, which means watering and cultivation.

Now, what is true on one plane is true on all planes.  Therefore, the watering and cultivating of what you want is done on the Spiritual plane by blessing.  The seed of blessing is the recognition of God, the All Good, in all persons and situations.  Then you release the hidden good, both within and without.  You must know what you are doing, and why you are doing it.

Successful Business Woman

You have all heard of the often repeated saying, “God helps him who helps himself,” meaning, to help one’s self one must use what talents one already has the use of, and the ability to bless is one of our greatest talents, if we use it.

Blessing not only increases the already tangible good, but also brings forth more from the invisible or intangible.  The outpouring of your blessing has a magnetic effect on you.  Send your blessings out on wings, and they will fly back to you laden with riches.

There is no limit to the good, blessing can bring into your life.  You, through blessing, become positive; the world becomes negative in relation to you.  You can command and the world will respond to you.

If you are going to interview someone for a position, tune into that person before going by praising and

The job interview

blessing and choosing all good for him are her, by sending out to him are her joy, love, and good-will, and even though you have never met that person, try to sense that you are already friends.  That will give you ease of manner and poise, making you feel Divine Assurance, and then you will know that a mighty God Power goes before you, making easy, and instant, and perfect your way.

Call upon this Power before you make any contacts.  Say to yourself, “I can of myself do nothing, but there is a Power within me that can.  I unite with it, and call upon it, and it is done for me, through me, with perfect results and deep satisfaction.”  This will give you marvelous power.

Feel that God is your Father, taking care of every little detail for you.  Say, “Power within me, make me say the right thing, at the right time, and in the right way.  Compel me into right action!”  Then what you say will go in, and bring good results!

It is simply magical the way this works; the casting of your burden or responsibility on this loving Power, or Father within, who knows you have need of all these things even before you ask.  “Before ye ask, I have answered.”  The fact that you desire something indicates the existence of that something.  You experience the aroma of coffee, and know instantly the coffee is ready.  So likewise, with your desire.  You know your Father has already given you this thing.

Perhaps some people will say, “Oh, this entirely too simple and childish.”  Well you have heard before, “The proof of the pudding is in the eating.”  So find out for yourself.

Again I say, “It works, if you work it!”  And let me remind you that all Truth is really so simple that the intellects of men overlook it, because of its very simplicity.

“Become as little children.”  Children joyously accept their good without question.  The wisdom of man is foolishness in the eyes of God have not these last few years proved that statement to you?  Blessings belong in your life day and night, night and day.  The choice is yours, learn to bless and be blessed.  Now pause for a moment and watch this short video clip and allow it to bless your sou.

This concludes lesson four, in the next few days we will present to you lesson five, but in the mean time we ask you to spend some time studying and meditating on the truth of this lesson.  Discuss it with family and friends, then use every opportunity to bless yourself and others and begin to live your blessed life every moment of everyday.  I bless this word to each of you today.  I remain your brother in Jesus Christ, Pastor Davis/Master Teacher!

SOME DIVINE THOUGHTS FOR LIVING FREE IN THE MOMENT

SOME DIVINE THOUGHTS FOR LIVING FREE IN THE MOMENT

THOUGHTS ON LIVING IN DIVINE ORDER (PHOTO BY PASTOR DAVIS)

I LIVE BY DIVINE FAITH—a faith in God that is like a bridge over troubled waters.   Secure and confident, I rise in thought and act above whatever challenges may be swirling around me.  I live the fullness of life.

MY FAITH assures me, so that I accept each change for what it is:  a new beginning.  This is a time for greater strengths to be realized and expressed by me, for greater blessings to flow to and from me, for greater fulfillment to be accepted and shared by me.

MY JOY COMES FROM WITHIN! Today my life is fuller, richer, and more fun than ever, because I approach each day from the joy in my heart. The people I know and love bring me joy, but I can also choose to manifest happiness on my own. My happiness is an inside job.  As I appreciate everything in life, I am joy in expression!

MY PROSPERITY IS IN DIVINE ORDER:  I accept the abundance of God that is always flowing to me and through me.  I give and receive joyously and gratefully.  When God said that the promise land will be flowing with milk and honey He was assuring us that if our faith was strong as a mustard seed, that our world would be flowing with blessings, and filled with a life of divine potential.  Knowing this, I am bold in spirit. I am aware of my own divine potential for living a life of my dreams.

I am assured by the word of God that peace and tranquility will prevail in my life because I am a work in progress. I do all that needs to be done by me with ease and efficiency.  I balance my work, family, and social life, my schedule may be tight and my responsibilities many, but I am not concerned.  I keep my thoughts up above the busyness and remain calm and clear, knowing that divine order is established in my life, and in all of life.

MY LIVING INDIVINE ORDER ASSURES ME; that I am abundantly supplied with all I need.  Time and resources are available to me.  Strength, energy, and intelligence are mine.  Aligned with God’s law of order, I flow with life’s scheduled and unscheduled events.

Getting past a time of trouble is not about my knowing the details of how blessings will come to me.  In faith I know with certainly that I will receive them.  Living in the moment with God, I understand that change ushers in a time of newness and discovery.

I ACCEPT, I RELEASE, AND I AM FREE!  Today I am FREE, and my FREEDOM, comes from knowing that I am a son of the KING. Peace and power prevails within me. I release all things to God—all worry all pain. Both physically and spiritually, I feel His peace washing over me. I am comforted. The Spirit of God is here—within me and everywhere around me. His Spirit sustains and upholds me at all times and allows me to remain FREE.

Today my life is in DIVINE ORDER and I am living FREE, because I am a work of ART in progress.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE BLESSED AND HIGHLY FAVORED THE NEXT STEP

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE BLESSED AND HIGHLY FAVORED THE NEXT STEP

In the first step we told you this, “God says the Blessed person is a,” “Happy Person” and He describes

English: child Jesus with the virgin Mary, wit...

that person in this manner, “BLESSED is the man that walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.” Psalm 1:1-2)

When you are BLESSED AND HIGHLY FAVORED BY GOD, you have chosen to be obedient to God’s will and commandments and to love him.  Your life has become a living example of that blessed and highly favored person.  In many conversations you have the opportunity to ask a person, “How are they today?” Their response is, “I AM BLESSED AND HIGHLY FAVORED!”  When a person can truly answer in the affirmative, you will know that this person is truly experiencing God’s Blessings over his or her life because God says this about such a person, “Blessed and fortunate and happy and spiritually prosperous (in that state in which the born-again child of God enjoys His favor and salvation) are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness (uprightness and right standing with God), for they shall be completely satisfied!” (Matthew 5:6)

To a virgin named Mary, this is what it meant to be Blessed and Highly Favored, “And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth, To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin’s name was Mary.  And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favored, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women. (Luke 1:26-28 KJV).  Gabriel told Mary that God had decided to bless her.  The words did not point out any special virtue in Mary, she was not sinless.  God chose Mary, blessed her, and she humbly accepted his call to be the mother of Jesus.

God’s Blessings and Favor are for those who are willing to be obedient to his word and keep his commandments.  When the Lord Jesus promised to send the Holy Spirit, He said three times that the Blessing was for the obedient.  “If ye love me, ye will keep my commandments: and I will pray the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever” (John 14:15-16 KJV).  Obedience is what God demands.  Obedience attains what was lost by the fall.

This lesson will be continued in the NEXT STEP and the many steps afterwards, because when we talk about the blessings over our lives and being flavored by God there is no beginning are ending point.  Just learn to walk out your purpose in this life and be obedient to His Word and He will reward you as being BLESSED and HIGHLY FLAVORED.

HOW DO WE DETERMINE THE BEGINNING

HOW DO WE DETERMINE THE BEGINNING

MY MAXIMIZED PRAYER BLESSINGS FOR MONDAY MORNING IDLE MINDS

MY MAXIMIZED PRAYER BLESSINGS FOR MONDAY MORNING IDLE MINDS

THE SUNFLOWER HARVEST (PHOTO BY PASTOR DAVIS)

Father in the name of Jesus, I seek your blessings over all those who begin this day’s journey laboring in the vineyard.  You said in your word, that if we would abide in you, you would abide in us, and we would bare much fruit.  So today Heavenly Father, as we look out into the world we discover that the harvest is ripe, but the labors to gather in this great harvest is few in numbers.  We pray Father that those that continue to live with idle minds, wondering where their next meal will come from, are how they are going to meet their financial obligations, that you will stir up the Holy Spirit that is resting in them, show them that there is still plenty of work to be done, and all they need to do is to shift their idle minds from a neutral position and begin to engage with those that are around them, they will immediately begin to see a change take place in their lives as they begin to gather in the harvest that is ripening daily in the vineyard.  Bless their idle minds this day Heavenly Father that they will begin to experience an abundant life this Monday Morning. We ask you to honor this prayer in the name of Jesus, AMEN!

Hallelujah! Praise God in his holy house of worshippraise him under the open skies;

Now let us understand where we are going, if you want a little romance in Blessing, try this:  Take a favorite dress of yours if you are a woman or a favorite suit if you are a man, and bless it for a happy surprise.

If you are going to interview someone for a position, tune into that person before going by praising and blessing and choosing all good for him are her, by sending out to him are her joy, love, and good-will, and even though you have never met that person, try to sense that you are already friends.
