ACHIEVING FINANCIAL SUCCESS REQUIRES WRITING THE VISION

ACHIEVING FINANCIAL SUCCESS REQUIRES WRITING THE VISION

THE LIGHT OF TRUTH (PHOTO BY PASTOR DAVIS)

THE LIGHT OF TRUTH (PHOTO BY PASTOR DAVIS)

These are the words that were first spoken to one of God’s great Prophets more than 2000 years ago when this Prophet dared to question God as to whether God could bring about his own reality.  God spoke to this Prophet named Habakkuk and told him these words. God said to Habakkuk, I am going to give you a crystal clear vision of what the future for you is going to look like, and this is what I want you to do.  “Write the vision,” that I will give to you, in other words, write down what I tell you.  “DO NOT”sugar coat it, do not add to it.  Just make it plain as the light of day.  I want you to engrave it in such clarity that you and anyone else that may be passing by to be able to look up see it and read it easily and quickly.

Understand this one truth; the vision is for an appointed time.  A time, in which you may not comprehend, however, know that it will hasten to the end and provide you with complete fulfillment.  It will not deceive you are disappoint you.  It will take you to a place in time where your thoughts have never imaged they could go before.   When you allow your mind to understand this truth manifesting itself into your reality, you will know that I am God, and when you learn to trust me, lean and depend on me, I will provide you with all that your heart desires.  Not only that, I will allow you to have a look into the future and see the possibilities of what tomorrow will look like for all of those who truly can believe that all things are possible. If   you can believe in your mind the things I will show you, conceive them as being the manifestation of the reality of now, and then you shall have them because they are truly yours.

I tell you this because I want you to realize that this vision is truly for an appointed time, a time which you may not understand the importance of being patience, waiting on a thing to happen.  Because you are living in a time when everything around you seems to be happening instantly, waiting on the vision I have given to you, may just seem like a dream that is never going to come true.  However, you must know in your heart the truth of a thing when it is presented to you.  Learn to stand on MY WORD, as never before, because MY WORD is truth, and when you come to a place in your life as a truth seeker, believing in the impossible, the truth will truly set your soul free.

The vision is given to you in order that you may know the truth.  How many times in your life that God has provided you with a vision, and you just casted it aside and said this is just another one of those dreams I had that will never come true?  The time has come in 2014 for you to believe in what God is showing you is truly the right vision for the right time.  It requires patience on your part to know that God can never lie, and if He has spoken into your spirit avision, God will bring it to reality, because this is what He said, “For the vision is yet for an appointed time and it hastens to the end [fulfillment]; it will not deceive or disappoint. Though it tarry, wait [earnestly] for it, because it will surely come; it will not be behindhand on its appointed day.”  (Habakkuk 2:2-5 AMP)

Now to all of you who are trying to achieve financial success this is truly what you must do.  Stop trying to rush things, stay focus on the vision, and keep working diligently daily on the plan.  Everything has all ready been set for an appointed time.  Now click on this link:

A DREAM A VISION A FUTURE

A DREAM A VISION A FUTURE

Good morning children of God this is truly a blessed day in our lives.

DR. MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. (PHOTO BY RACHEL COOPER)

DR. MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. (PHOTO BY RACHEL COOPER)

We were awakened this morning and provided with the opportunity of living in the future, with great hopes and the aspirations of achieving greatness in our season. For God shows us things that we may not always understand or even comprehend within our limited thinking, but he gave us this day as a very special holiday to honor, and celebrate the life and legacy of one of the world’s greatest visionaries who had a dream and a vision and dared to live out that dream. That person was none other than the Hon. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

SCRIPTURE: And the Lord answered me and said, Write the vision and engrave it so plainly upon tablets that everyone who passes may [be able to] read [it easily and quickly] as he hastens by. (Habakkuk 2:2-3 KJV) this is what Dr. King did for us in his day and time, he wrote the vision, and he wrote it upon each one of our hearts, that wherever we are that we may be able to see it, read it, and live it in our day and time.

SCRIPTURE: For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome. (Jeremiah 29:11 AMP) and this part of the Scriptures we can see the journey be in birth as God gave it to one of his great prophets, and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. followed in the footsteps of this prophet.

We are called into action this day to do our part to keep the dream alive. How each one of us uses this day will bear heavily on our own individual futures. A dream a vision a future is alive in each one of us, what will we do this day to birth it into reality?

There are many people in this world that are living in denial of this legacy and the many great contributions that Dr. King made to this world. Their denial is based on ignorant and stupidity, but Dr. King’s dream will live on in eternity. Because of Dr. King’s dream and a vision he birth hope for a brighter future in the lives of many young people from all around the world, and people of all races creeds, colors, and religious backgrounds were awakened to the reality that they too, would be able to achieve greatness within themselves.

In Dr. Martin Luther King’s dream and vision he followed the pathway of another great servant of God, and asked God to guide his heart and give him understanding on how to lead his people. That’s servant was King Solomon who led the nation of Israel for many generations before the birth of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. King Solomon had a dream and he went before God, and he said to God,” give therefore thy servant and understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and evil, for who is able to judge this thy so great a people? (1 King 3:9 KJV)

We as the CHILDREN OF GOD are all called to dream great dreams, then dare to live out those dreams. We must be about the business of God each and every day, doing his will as we walk in the path of righteousness for his name sake. Yes my brothers and sisters, let us use this day as a day of action, that we as children of God who seek God’s guidance and understanding to live together as one people, not separated by race or the color of our skin, but truly recognize in each other the content of our characters, and live in peace with love in our hearts for one another.

Now may the grace of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, be upon each one of you to walk out your purpose and live in his will and seek his blessings over your life and the lives of all those who come into your presence this day.

EMBRACE YOUR GOD GIVEN LIFE AND ACHIEVE THE VICTORY

EMBRACE YOUR GOD GIVEN LIFE AND ACHIEVE THE VICTORY

ALLOW THE UNIVERSE TO MANISFEST YOUR DESIRE INTO YOUR PHYSICAL REALITY

Pastor Davis Reflecting and Embracing His God Given Life

Pastor Davis Reflecting and Embracing His God Given Life

In this final part of our lesson today, we want you to understand that you have the power to achieve any desired goal that you EMBRACE.  Your life is a God given life, and God has already provided the VICTORY for you.  Now you must act upon what God has given you and you by EMBRACING the VICTORY and ALLOWING THE UNIVERSE TO MANISFEST YOUR DESIRE INTO YOUR PHYSICAL REALITY.

Jesus was matter-of-fact when He said,  “Embrace this God-life.” Really embrace it, and nothing will be too much for you. This mountain, for instance: Just say, ‘Go jump in the lake’—no shuffling or shilly-shallying—and it’s as good as done. That’s why I urge you to pray for absolutely everything, ranging from small to large. Include everything as you embrace this God-life, and you’ll get God’s everything. And when you assume the posture of prayer, remember that it’s not all asking. If you have anything against someone, forgive—only then will your heavenly Father be inclined to also wipe your slate clean of sins.” (Mark 11:22-25 MSG)

As soon as you know your desire, have asked for it, and you are experiencing it in your mental world, you must then take steps towards it and allow the UNIVERSE to manifest your desire into your PHYSICAL REALITY. Although the universe will bring into your physical reality, anything you ask for, it will accelerate the process greatly if you also take physical action towards your desires. This does not of course mean that you physically have to go out there and do everything yourself. You simply have to take positive steps in the direction of the VISION that was given and your desire to achieve the promise that came with the VISION, which reinforces your claim that it already exists in your present reality.

The vibrations of your physical actions also firmly impress upon your SUBCONSCIOUS MIND your total commitment to realizing your VISION and desires. If you have your subconscious mind as well as your CONSCIOUS MIND influencing all the energy of reality in the direction of bringing the object of your desire into your physical reality, it will be much more powerful and your desires will manifest sooner as a result.

Reality creation happens through metaphysical and physical means. Both intention and action are necessary for creating what you want.

For example, you wish to manifest a new house, you should take positive actions to physically go out and look for one. You do not have to worry about whether you can afford it or not, that would be a negative emotion resulting in the negative influence of energy. Anyway, the realization of your house is not your concern; it is for GOD and the universe to take care of the manifestation of your VISION and desires into your reality. Manifestation is a balance of taking action and letting it happen. Perfect manifestation is a combination of intention and detachment.

In the case of your new house, the very act of physically going out and looking for the house of your desires will not only project the positive energy of intent, but will also produce other emotions such as excitement and expectation all of which will add to the net effect of positive energy in realizing your desires. The more you physically take steps in the direction of your desire, the more positive emotion you will generate and the more you can integrate the object of your desire as part of your being. The more powerful also will be the effect, and the sooner you will be able to realize it within your physical reality. That is the reason to act as if your desire is reality.

Massive action results in massive manifestation. The more you want something the more focused you must be in your actions towards getting it. The bigger and the more frequent the action you take, the better it is but takes some sort of action you must. Never wait until tomorrow, because the next day you will defer until tomorrow again, and you will never take that important first action in the direction of your VISION and your desires.

The time to act is now, stop putting off the things you should be completing today for tomorrow.  Tomorrow is not promised, the time to act is NOW.  Take action NOW to achieve the VICTORY that God has already promised you.  You are the CAPTAIN OF YOUR SHIP.  Now stir it in the direction you choose to go.  Your VICTORY is only a thought away.  Begin to use your IMAGINATION to achieve your DESIRED GOALS.

THE ROAD MAP TO ACHIEVING YOUR VICTORY IS FOUND IN JESUS

THE TIME TO ACT ON THE VISION IS NOW

From the beginning of this year we have provided you with a road map from the word of God on the path He wants you to follow to help you make this year the year you ACHIEVE the VICTORY that you have been seeking all your life.  Today, we continue with God’s road map in laying out a clear VISION that will help you move forward by taking action to manifest your dreams into reality, and “THE ROAD MAP TO ACHIEVING YOUR VICTORY IS FOUND IN JESUS!”

Achieving the VICTORY requires you to take action.  The first step was when God gave you the VISION; He

A CHILD LEARNING TO WRITE IT DOWN (PHOTO BY PASTOR DAVIS)

A CHILD LEARNING TO WRITE IT DOWN (PHOTO BY PASTOR DAVIS)

told you to, “WRITE THE VISION.”  God made it crystal clear that you must take action before the VISION will appear as a reality to you.  In other words you must activate what God has given to you in order for you to begin the process where you find yourself going through.  The process is never going to be easy, but it is a necessary step that must take place.

One of the reasons so many of us never achieve any desired results from what has been set before us, is because we dislike going through the process.  We fail to write it down; we fail to ask God for wisdom, guidance and understanding.  We fail to seek knowledge and clarification of where we are in the process.  Then we come up against what seems like a brick wall when door after door is been slam shut in our face.  We stand in front of the door and look at it with disgust and ask ourselves, WHY?  But we refuse to take the next step and KNOCK, because fear has so gripped our minds and we find ourselves questioning our own ability to achieve what God has already given us.

Pastor Davis teaches you how to achieve the victory by studying the word of God

Pastor Davis teaches you how to achieve the victory by studying the word of God

However, I want you to know that the Bible is crystal clear on what God wants you to do in this process.  God’s intention is to teach you how to be successful at achieving the VISION which he has given to you.  Now listen to the words of Jesus, “So I say to you, Ask and keep on asking and it shall be given you; seek and keep on seeking and you shall find; knock and keep on knocking and the door shall be opened to you.”

For everyone who asks and keeps on asking receives; and he who seeks and keeps on seeking finds; and to him who knocks and keeps on knocking, the door shall be opened.” (Luke 11:9-10 Amplified)

Do not hesitate to move on your ideas and respond to situations that call for action in order to keep the momentum going. If you are sitting waiting for something to happen, doing other “important” tasks rather than those that you know will produce the results you desire, you are wasting time and you are no closer to achieving your VISION and desired goals, [the vision which God gave you]. You may realize that you have waited for so many things in your life that never showed up!

Act on your desire in order to get to where you want to be. Waiting will not do it. The best people are not those who have waited for chances, but those who have taken them, and made chance the servitor. It is better to act first and apologize later than to seek permission first. We often wait for the feeling to be right first; before we take the action we know will bring us satisfaction. The feeling of satisfaction only comes from accomplishment, not from pondering and procrastinating. Take immediate action, not out of fear, or to force things to happen, but because the next action you take brings you, one-step closer to your desire and you will see tremendous results come into your life.

TRAVELING THE LONG ROAD TO VICTORY (PHOTO BY PASTOR DAVIS)

TRAVELING THE LONG ROAD TO VICTORY (PHOTO BY PASTOR DAVIS)

Now I realize that this might sound like a contradiction in terms of what God said when he told us to wait on the VISION.  But understand this, God was challenging us to have patience, and believe in the promise he had given to us when he said, “though the vision may tarry, the VISION will surely come.”

Sometimes opportunity knocks but sometimes you must knock. If you truly desire what is behind the door, you will knock until it opens. Sometimes you may even have to break down the door to get through to what you want. The difference between using the force out of power and using the force out of fear, doubt or worry, is that when you are powerful, you know what it is you are doing and are doing it powerfully. It does not feel forced but liberating to you.

Remember, all things come to those of us who, seek, ask and knock.  “THE ROAD MAP TO ACHIEVING YOUR VICTORY IS FOUND IN JESUS!”  Never give up, and never give in, because you are truly a winner, and a winner never gives up, and never gives in.  Jesus said, He would never put on you more than you can not bear, nor would He ever leave you are for sake you, and you can always stand on the promises of the Lord.

A CHILD WRITES THE VISION (PHOTO BY PASTOR DAVIS)

In this Brand New Year, our goal is to work with you and equip you with the necessary tools that God has already provided to help you achieve your desired goals and the victory in 2013.

Now let us begin by listening to the word of God as He first spoken to one of His great Prophets more than 2000 years ago when this Prophet dared to question God as to whether God could bring about his own reality.

God spoke to this Prophet named Habakkuk and told him these words. God said to Habakkuk, I am going to give you a crystal clear vision of what the future for you is going to look like, and this is what I want you to do.  Click on this video clip and prepare yourself to be blessed as we study together today.  The complete text is written below.

“Write the vision that I will give to you, in other words, write down what I tell you.  Do not sugar coat it, do not add to it.

You are now living in a time when everything around you seems to be happening instantly, waiting on the vision I have given to you, may just seem like a dream that is never going to come true.

How many times in your life that God has provided you with a Vision and you just cast it aside and said this is just another one of those pie in the sky dreams I had that will never come true?  The time has come in 2013 for you to believe in what God is showing you is truly the right Vision for the right time.

It requires patience on your part to know that God can never lie, and if He has spoken into your spirit a Vision, God will bring it to reality, because God never makes a promise, He does not keep.

This concludes this portion of our lesson for today titled, “GOD COMMANDS YOU TO WRITE THE VISION HE HAS GIVEN!”  Please return daily to pick up the next part of each lesson.

THIS IS YOUR YEAR TO ACHIEVE THE VICTORY

THIS IS YOUR YEAR TO ACHIEVE THE VICTORY

PASTOR DAVIS MASTER TEACHER, TEACHES BIBLE STUDY LESSONS ON ACHIEVING THE VICTORY

PASTOR DAVIS MASTER TEACHER, TEACHES BIBLE STUDY LESSONS ON ACHIEVING THE VICTORY

Let me begin this discussion by assuring you that nothing is beyond your reach.  All that you have not achieved in this past year is waiting for you in this New Year.  Stay focus on the prize, you have set very high and achievable goals for this brand new year.  Now we will teach you how to achieve them.

The very first thing you must know, and that is, “you are the master of your destination.”  Whatever your mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve.  Therefore, we ask you to clear out all negative thinking, and fill your mind with beautiful thoughts of the possibilities that lie ahead.

Remember, just as a good tree bears good fruit and a diseased tree bears inedible fruit, so the fruits of a person’s life will show the quality of his or her character.

THE GRAPEVINE

THE GRAPEVINE

Fruit is a comprehensive word, referring to teaching, character, and action.  Our character is revealed by our conduct.  Our thoughts become that which we choose to be.

The journey will not be easy, but as we stated in the beginning, “it is achievable.”  Every step you take, the devil will be waiting to take you down.   He will be walking about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour, and if you are not careful in your walk with God you will be his next victim.  You must learn to grow in God’s grace.  Why, Because God has already provided the victory just for you.  Placing your faith in God and not in the world is the beginning of all knowledge that will transform your life and put you on the right track to achieving your desired goals.  Know that a believer’s growth sometimes may be hindered or halted by three distinct enemies: the Devil, the world, and the flesh.

We are warned how the Devil walks or roams about like a lion.  When lions hunt, they look for weak, young,

The Lion of the tribe of Judah ((Photo by Pastor Davis)

The Lion of the tribe of Judah ((Photo by Pastor Davis)

isolated, unguarded animals.  They are the ones marked for attack.  The Devil’s ultimate agenda is to destroy us, not merely to hurt, maim, or discourage, but to devour and destroy us.  He does that when he gets us to bow to circumstances, pressures, or forces of his evil design, hoping thereby to make us yield to him.  To overcome this evil spirit we must adopt a reverse strategy: I will call this strategy, “B.O.W. TO JESUS,” the One you BELIEVE, OBEY and WORSHIP.  He overcame, refusing to bow to Satan’s devices (Matt. 4:8-10), and our growth in Him will bring the same ability to resist or stand against the Devil (1 Peter 5:9). We must be clothed in the full armor of God: be armed with the Word of God (Eph. 6:10-14), believe Him (Heb. 11:6), obey Him (1 John 3:24), and worship Him (John 4:23).  Receive Christ’s overcoming victory!

When our minds are filled with the word, our strategies for achieving our desired goals are assured.  Nothing can stop us now, although the devil will continue to lay stumbling blocks in our path way, however, because our minds are centered on God and we are filled with the word, these stumbling blocks are opportunities to continue to move forward at great speed.

The first step in this process is to “WRITE THE VISION,”  (we will present this strategy in complete details in our next lesson.)   Now I encourage you to study this step very carefully and comply with its instructions.

The next step in the process is for you to study your written plan and focus all your attention on it like a laser beam.  Know that all that you do is part of the process; each step you take is placing you in the flow towards achieving the greatest victory that you have ever imaged.  The process will never be easy, but it is achievable.

Now listen up, to the word of God as spoken by Peter in the book of (1 Peter 5:5-8).  Likewise you younger people, submit yourselves to your elder.  Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for “God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”  Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.  Be sober; be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.

RIVER OF LIFE (Photo by Pastor Davis)

RIVER OF LIFE (Photo by Pastor Davis)

Therefore, remain in the flow where all streams will lead you towards the lake, from there the flow of the lake will lead you into deeper and wider streams of fishing called the rivers of life.  As you navigate from the river, the flow will take you into the ocean where you shall conquer your greatest victory of all.  Stay with us and we will help to get you there.  Remember, keep your eyes focus on Jesus, because he is your navigator, we are just the instrument that he has placed in your hands to help you day by day.

Today, we have ministered to you from a position of PEACE, PURPOSE, POWER and PROSPERITY.  Always think globally as you work locally to achieve your dreams, because they are truly only a thought away.  I remain your brother in JESUS CHRIST, PASTOR DAVIS/MASTER TEACHER!

As soon as you know your desire, have asked for it, and are experiencing it in your mental world, you must then take steps towards it and allow the universe to manifest your desire into your physical reality. Although the universe will bring into your physical reality, anything you ask for, it will accelerate the process greatly if you are also take physical action towards your desires.

Today we have ministered to you from a position of PEACE, PURPOSE, POWER and PROSPERITY.  We encourage you always stay focus on the big picture and think globally as you work locally to accomplish the VISION and your desired goals.  I remain your brother in CHRIST JESUS, PASTOR DAVIS/MASTER TEACHER!

THIS IS YOUR YEAR TO ACHIEVE THE VICTORY

THIS IS YOUR YEAR TO ACHIEVE THE VICTORY

The Powerful Lion (Photo by Pastor Davis)

Let me begin this discussion by assuring you that nothing is beyond your reach.  All that you have not achieved in this past year is waiting for you in this New Year.  Stay focus on the prize, you have set very high and achievable goals for this brand new year.  Now we will teach you how to achieve them.

The very first thing you must know, and that is, “you are the master of your destination.”  Whatever your mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve.  Therefore, we ask you to clear out all negative thinking, and fill your mind with beautiful thoughts of the possibilities that lie ahead.  Remember, just as a good tree bears good fruit and a diseased tree bears inedible fruit, so the fruits of a person’s life will show the quality of his or her characterFruit is a comprehensive word, referring to teaching, character, and action.

When lions hunt, they look for weak, young, isolated, unguarded animals.

The first step in this process is to “WRITE THE VISION,” we gave you this step a few days ago.  Now I encourage you to study this step very carefully and comply with its instructions.

WRITE THE VISION

WRITE THE VISION

These are the words that were first spoken to one of God’s great Prophets more than 2000 years ago when this Prophet dared to question God as to whether God could bring about his own reality.  God spoke to this Prophet named Habakkuk and told him these words. God said to Habakkuk, I am going to give you a crystal clear vision of what the future for you is going to look like, and this is what I want you to do.  “Write the vision that I will give to you, in other words, write down what I tell you.  Don’t sugar coat it, do not add to it.

The time has come in 2012 for you to believe in what God is showing you is truly the right vision for the right time.  It requires patience on your part to know that God can never lie, and if He has spoken into your spirit a vision, God will bring it to reality, because this is what He said, “For the vision is yet for an appointed time and it hastens to the end [fulfillment]; it will not deceive or disappoint. Though it tarry, wait [earnestly] for it, because it will surely come; it will not be behindhand on its appointed day.”  (Habakkuk 2:2-5 AMP)

Let me assure you, that 2012 is your year to be truly blessedGod is transforming lives right now and your life is one of those that is about to be transformed, [changed] and made to become new.  He said, “wait!”  When God tells you to wait and have patience, you must learn to wait on God, because your blessings have your name on it, and it is for you and no one else.  He told you that the vision will come and that it is for an appointed time and it will not tarry.  So why not look with great anticipations upon the WORD OF GOD being nothing but the truth that will manifest itself into all your dreams coming true.

Now here is what I want each of you to do, according to the word of God as he spoke it clearly to Habakkuk, “And the Lord answered me and said, Write the vision and engrave it so plainly upon tablets that everyone who passes may [be able to] read [it easily and quickly] as he hastens by.  (Habakkuk 2:2 AMP).  The vision that I want you to write out is your vision of your expectations of what you hope to accomplish this year.  We will continue discussing this in much greater details in the next few lessons in hope that we can help you realize your new self in this brand new year.  Now may the Spirit of God continue to dwell within you, equipping you with all the necessary tools that you will need to accomplish your goals this year?  Together, we will transform you into a power of love, joy and prosperity.

Continue to think globally as you work locally to bring about a brand new you. Today we have ministered to you from a position of peace, purpose, power and prosperity.  I remain your brother in CHRIST, PASTOR DAVIS/MASTER TEACHER!

YOU HAVE THE POWER TO CHANGE YOUR LIFE

Why do some people complain so much about not having the things they want, not being able to do what they want to do and always blaming others for the situation they are in?  The answer is simple.  They lack the will power to make the change.  You see, we are a source of power.  The energy it takes to operate our bodies and minds are contained within.  We were created from the beginning of time in the image of the greatest power source ever known to man.  That is we were created in the image of God.  And in the image of God, He created Himself within each one of us.  That makes us a very unique creature.  Therefore anything that we desire, we can simply will it to be and we shall have it.  Nothing is beyond our ability to have and be what we want to have and be.  We are the tower of power.  Having what we want is so simple, it can be down right frighten, and that is part of the reason that we experience so much lack in our lives because things that are simple we discard it as not being worthy of it’s pursuit.  We argue with our self and then loose the argument because we see it as being too simple.

The time has come that we must begin a new way of thinking.  We must change our old way and allow the simple things of life to enter in.  God wants us to be just like Him, if he didn’t, he would not have created us like Himself.  He would not have equipped us with the power to be a creative force.  We now must learn how to use that power to build the world that we want to live in and place within that world all the things that we desire to have from within our own unique minds.  We must turn our lack into plenty.  Our desire for change must become a burning desire.  So much so that we awaken each day experiencing something new, seeing  ourselves as being in control and not some other power being in control of us.  We must begin to treat our minds as the instrument of change, and when we do this consistently, a change will begin to come over us.

Let me use the example of a very wise man from the Bible.  His name is King Solomon.  He was known as a man with great wisdom.  Why?  Because he learned early on that there was a universal aspect of God, and he used his knowledge of God to influence his thought process in order to develop his own reality of wisdom.  Thought and knowledge are one and the same. Knowledge influences your thought process.  Therefore in order to have real power you must first gain knowledge of how things work in order to build and control your own world.  God told King Solomon to ask him for anything he wanted, and Solomon asked God for wisdom and knowledge.  God said to Solomon, “I grant you both,” because God knew Solomon was on to something great by asking him only for wisdom and knowledge.  King Solomon took what God had granted him and used it to become one of the wealthiest men of his time.

You to can do the same, once you learn to control your own thought process.  Gain the knowledge of the object of your pursuit, and allow your creative thought process to develop your reality of what you are trying to attract into your life.  Nothing you desire is beyond your control.  You have the power to have anything and everything you desire in life.  The thoughts that you express through your words shape your life. Change your thoughts and you can change your world.  You can build a brand new world, the one that you have dreamed of all your life.  You must stop allowing outside circumstances and situations to determine what you think.  Learn to shape your own thought process by the accumulative knowledge that you have obtained during your own life time.  Develop a new way of looking at the world and all it has to offer.  Bring into your new world your own reality of what your world is going to be. If you consciously choose the thoughts, phrases and words that you repeat in your mind, your life will start to change. You will begin creating new situations and circumstances. You will be using the power of attraction to effect the change you are seeking to make.

If you want your life to change, start right now from the place in life you find your self and begin to develop a positive attitude about the reality of your own world.  No body can do this for you; you must do it for your self.  No body can give you enough money to have the things you want in life are pay your mortgage, car note or any other expense in order for you to have and live the life style you desire.  Because sooner or latter that money will run out and you will be right back where you were before you received it asking for more.  No you must begin to effect the change within your own mind, gain the knowledge of a wealth building conscious in order to have the true desires of your heart.

LEADERSHIP THE TRIUNE WAY

Skills, intelligence and hard work are all a part of the package of a good leader. When God built His triune leadership team, he was giving us the example of how our leadership teams would have to be built.  God’s leadership team consisted of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.  The three were joined together to serve each other.  However, God reminds us that, in the final analysis, one thing makes the difference, and that is the heart of a leader, and
the heart is man’s character.

Let us begin by stating this fact.  Leaders cultivate character by acquiring wisdom and understanding.  Of course, those possessions do not come without a price.  They require the kind of dedicated and patient labor exercised in mining for gold and silver.  Leaders must diligently “search” for the wisdom that is buried within God’s Word like treasure covered by layers of earth and rock.  That means using the right tools and exercising patience and diligence as we spend time immersed within this life-changing volume.

As we dig, we must ask God to provide us with insight and understanding.  Ultimately, only God can open our eyes to see spiritual truth and then enable us to apply that truth to our lives (Ephesians 1:18).  As God fills our minds with wisdom, our character will develop so that we will possess the ability to make right choices – choices that are just, fair and moral.

As we seek to possess God’s wisdom, we will be able to move beyond simply expressing the vision and values of a leader.  We will possess the kind of character from which lofty visions and values flow.  Our character will be truly godly, so that others will delight in following us.

Self-leadership

Next, I must lead myself. This may seem strange but it is actually critical to good leadership. How can I lead others where I am not going myself? How can I direct others if my own life is out of control?

Jim Whitaker, who was the first American to reach the summit of Mt. Everest, said “you never
conquer a mountain – mountains can’t be conquered; you conquer yourself – your hopes, your fears”.  Proverbs 25:28 like a city whose walls are broken down is a man who lacks self-control.

1 Corinthians 9:24-27 Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last; but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. Therefore, I do not run like a man running aimlessly; I do not fight like a man beating the air. No, I beat my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize.

People-leadership

Ultimately, when God is leading me and I am leading myself, I can lead other people. After all, as the old saying goes, if no one is following me, then I am not leading; I am merely going for a walk alone!

A leader must know him or herself and then seek self improvement. That means a humble recognition that the leader does not have all the answers. In addition, after self-examination identifies weak areas, the leader will demonstrate the traits of INTEGRITY, JUDGMENT, and UNSELFISHNESS. The leader must be of upright character, truthful and honest, to himself and to others. He must strive to make sound, well-informed, and Scripturally-based decisions. This requires the leader to be unselfish with his or her time and talents.

And finally, the leader must SET THE EXAMPLE. “Passionately proclaiming the Good News of Jesus Christ” requires BEARING, COURAGE, ENDURANCE, and ENTHUSIASM. In particular, in today’s America, a Christian leader must expect that he or she will come under attack from both without and within the MAN-MADE boundaries that seek to define “the Church.” Those without may heap scorn and derision upon the Christian leader.  Be prepared to take charge and move forward no matter how many road blocks are laid in your pathway.

Servant Leadership:

The Biblical model for leadership is “servant leadership.” The ultimate model is the suffering servant! Pastors and church leaders seeking to bully or dictate God’s will to their people will never be as effective as those who out of love, compassion and a commitment to God’s will seek to lead their congregations to know and do God’s will.

Servant leaders understand that people matter. People are the “bottom line.” No holy agenda warrants mistreating or manipulating people. The servant leader is willing to sacrifice himself or herself for those they lead. It is the commitment, integrity, compassion, and vision of the leader that causes people to “choose” to follow a servant leader. Who are the people you choose to
follow? What are the characteristics of their leadership style? If you having difficulty leading maybe the place to begin is an examination of your leadership style—your approach to leadership.

HOW LEADERS BUILD SUCCESSFUL TEAMS

In 2 Samuel 23:8-17, we discover how David built one of the most successful fighting teams, because he knew what it took as a leader to
mold and shape the talents of men that had the spirit of God in them. David knew that the mark of a great leader is how many great people will join his or her team.  David’s team was comprised of “mighty
men.” Because David attempted mighty things, only the mighty could keep up with him.  Those who could not keep pace could not join the team.

Don Bennett was the first amputee to climb Mt. Rainier.  His testimony is simple—if you try such a feat with only one leg, “you can’t do it alone.”  That makes a lot of sense!  However, what is not immediately obvious is that not just anyone can help.  Bennett did not recruit his helpers in a nursing home.  He built a team of people who wanted to climb a 14,410-foot peak and who
could climb a 14,410-foot peak.  One who attempts mighty feats had better be capable of recruiting a mighty team.

David did that.  His was one of the most celebrated teams in the entire Old Testament.  This group was the all-star team of his battle-hardened warriors.  Several things stand out as we consider how David pulled his team together.

First, he spent time with them in battle.  These men were welded to David by the hot fires of battle.  His inner circle consisted of those men who had fought alongside him.  He knew their capabilities, because he had seen what they could do with his own eyes.

Second, he sacrificed for them.  When three of his mighty men risked their lives to obtain drinking water for him during a battle, David refused to drink it, choosing instead to pour it out onto the ground.  That act of sacrifice communicated a depth of devotion and love that had to have impressed those warriors.

Third, they enjoyed victory together.  Time and again David and his mighty men faced
seemingly insurmountable odds and saw God deliver them

Finally, David honored them.  These men were well known throughout the land as “David’s Mighty Men.”  That phrase served as a banner that set them apart as extraordinary.

As you read this account, one thing becomes clear;  David knew he couldn’t do it alone.  A team is capable of accomplishing things that no individual, no matter how multi-talented, could do alone.  To function well, a team must be committed to a common vision and purpose, and it must be willing to work in unity for the improvement of the whole rather than the advancement of any one member.

Teams are comprised of positional specialists.  These individuals have been recruited on the
basis of individual ability and expected contribution.  But they arent’t a solid team until their
individual strengths combine to produce an outcome which no single member alone could have produced.  High performance teams are tough to build.  So we look to the Master Teacher for a demonstration of how to recruit and mold a world-class team.

Every competent leader knows the importance of building a team.  But how is this accomplished?  Strong teams functioning at their best reflect similarities to the relationship that exists within the divine Trinity.  When a team works together in an order-centered manner, it mirrors the creativity and mutual regard that is derived from God himself.

LEADERS MUST CULTIVATE A PERSONAL VISION

Few things are more important to effective leadership than a vision.  Good leaders foresee something out there, vague as it might appear from the distance that others do not see.  Godly leaders who are followers of Christ must first have a vision of who God is and the future he holds for them.  They must also have a sense of what God has called them to do.

What is the focus of your life?  Are you a person of passion for the things of God, or is that passion just a sporadic experience for you?  If you had to describe the compelling treasure in your life, what would it look like?

It is crucial for a leader to know how to identify and cultivate a personal vision.  However, where do such visions originate?  Burt Nanus provides us with a good definition of the word vision, and Jesus demonstrates how to keep our vision in line with God’s purposes.

In his book Visionary Leadership, Burt Nanus defines a vision as “a realistic, credible, attractive future for your organization.  It is your articulation of a destination toward which your organization should aim, a future that is better, more successful, or more desirable for your organization than is the present.”  Nanus contends that the right vision “Is an idea so energizing that it in effect jump-starts the future by calling forth the skills, talents, and resources to make it happen.”

Over the course of his ministry, Jesus consistently cast an energizing vision of the coming kingdom of God.  He repeatedly described the character and conduct that would define
citizens of that kingdom.  The Lord’s vision was so compelling that the twelve disciples left everything to follow his lead.  Thousands of others also took their direction from him.

Yet, in spite of the Lord’s consistent message, the disciples had a hard time grasping the fact that ushering in the kingdom of God would require suffering.  When Jesus clearly explained his impending death, Peter rebuked him for making such an assertion.  He was probably shocked when the Lord abruptly turned the tables and said, “Get behind me, Satan!”  Peter’s problem was that he allowed his personal and self-centered agenda to box in God’s plan.  Ultimately, such self-serving visions are satanically inspired.

Leaders need to be sure their vision is consistent with God’s purposes.  Moreover, when cross currents threaten to sweep the vision into another channel, they must work to keep it heading in the right direction.  They cannot allow self-serving interests—their own or someone else’s—to distort their vision of the future and prevent God’s purposes from being fulfilled.

30 BILLION A YEAR WOULD ERADICATE WORLD HUNGER

The ENS did a great job reporting about the opening of the High-level Conference on World Food Security: the Challenges of Climate Change and Bioenergy. In my opinion, the most noteworthy part is when Dr. Jacques Diouf, the director of the UN Food and Agriculture Organization, pointed out the shameful contrast between what we waste and how relatively little it would take to eradicate world hunger. After pointing out the trillions spent yearly on militarism and the billions of dollars worth of food wasted, Dr. Diouf asked, “How can we explain to people of good sense and good faith that it was not possible to find US$30 billion a year to enable 862 million hungry people to enjoy the most fundamental of human rights: the right to food and thus the right to life?” Resources that could go towards feeding the hungry and eradicating poverty are spent on expensive and needlessly destructive endeavors such as the occupation of Iraq and the war on drugs like marijuana. I could never describe how intensely that upsets me.

www.chrf.org By Erin Fitzgerald Four children of different backgrounds stand in a line clasping hands and smiling. In this carefree scene filled with lush green grass and blooming flowers, these children don’t have to worry about equal opportunities in life. Their futures are shining brightly, and their dreams are well within their grasp. But this perfect society is only an illusion. A dream that 16-year-old Wilda Vasquez Ibanez, a sponsored youth, portrays in her mural titled “Right to Equality.” The reality is much harsher for children in impoverished countries. Here in Guatemala, where Wilda lives, some families can’t even afford to buy nutritional food, let alone help their children pursue an education. Their children’s futures are dim, shadowed by a lack of knowledge and a society where the poor often can’t break free of poverty. Wilda completed her “Right to Equality” painting as part of a contest organized by social organizations. Painting has helped her overcome her shyness, and she hopes to attend college. In the meantime, she wants people to learn from and understand one another through her paintings. “Age, color, gender and race are not important,” Wilda said. “We are all human and should receive the same opportunities.”

Visual messages serve as an important tool of communication in Latin America, where reading isn’t stressed as much as it is in the United States, said Vickie Coromac, Children International’s regional director for Central America, Mexico and the Caribbean. “Some of the adolescents in our program in Latin America found that a good way to reach others was using visual art,” Coromac said. “You retain an image better. It stays in your brain.” While impoverished families may still struggle to find work and send their children to school, sponsorship – and paintings like Wilda’s – give them a reason to dream. Wellington Gonzalez and Astrid Salazar of United International’s Guatemala City project office contributed this report to Children International’s web site.

BLACK FOLKS SPENDING HABITS

WHY WE ARE STILL TIRED, BROKE AND ENSLAVED

Next time you see that ‘Player of the Year’ flaws in’ in that 2010 Chrysler 300 sitting’ on 26′s while he’s pulling it into a parking stall of a rented apartment, hand him this USA Today article, on “Black Spending Habits”

These are tough economic times, especially for African-Americans, for whom the unemployment rate is more than 10%. Alarmingly, rather than belt-tightening, the response has been to spend more. In many poor neighborhoods, one is likely to notice satellite dishes and expensive new cars.

According to Target Market, a company that tracks Black consumer spending, Black folk spend a significant amount of their income on depreciable products. In 2002, the year the economy nose-dived; we spent $22..9 billion ($22,900,000, 000.00) on clothes, $3.2 billion ($3,200,000, 000.00) on electronics and $11.6 billion (11,600,000, 000.00) on furniture to put into homes that, in many cases, were rented.

Among our favorite purchases are cars and liquor. Blacks make up only 12% of the U.S. population yet account for 30% of the country’s Scotch consumption. Detroit, 80% Black, is the world’s No.1 market for Cognac (Pass the Courvoisier)

Detroit is also the number one crime city, in North America. So impressed was Lincoln with the $46.7 billion ($46,000,000, 000) that blacks spent on cars that the automaker commissioned Sean ‘P. Diddy‘ Combs, the entertainment and fashion mogul, to design a limited edition Navigator complete with six plasma screens, three DVD players and a Sony PlayStation2. The only area where Blacks seem to be cutting back on spending is books; total purchases have gone from a high of $356 million in 2000 to $303 million in 2002. This shortsighted behavior, motivated by a desire for instant gratification and social acceptance, comes at the expense of our future.

The National Urban League‘s ‘State of Black America 2004′ report found that fewer than 50% of Black families owned their homes compared with more than 70% of whites. According to published reports, the Ariel Mutual Funds/Charles Schwab, 2003 Black Investor Survey found that when comparing households where Blacks and whites had roughly the same household incomes, whites saved nearly 20% more each month for retirement, and 30% of African-Americans earning $100,000 a year had less than $5,000 in retirement savings.

While 79% of whites invest in the stock market, only 61% of African-Americans do. Certainly, higher rates of unemployment, income disparity and credit discrimination are financial impediments to the economic vitality of Blacks, but so are our consumer tastes. By finding the courage to change our spending habits, we might be surprised at how far the $631 billion
($631,000,000,000.00) we now earn might take us.
