Step out on your faith with reasoning

FAITH AND REASONING ARE ONE OF THE SAME…

REASON CAN COMMAND AN ENTIRE ARMY TO WAR OR IT CAN COMPEL ALL NATIONS TO PEACE AND HARMONY.

The Burning Bush (Photo by Pastor Davis)

God has created all things perfectly by His own reasoning and in His own time.  Therefore, who are we to question what is, is?  God commands us to remove all doubt from our minds and understand the things of the universe, and then perhaps we can develop the wisdom and knowledge to discern why the reality of God’s reasoning is what it is. Now listen to what the Bible tells us to do, it says, “Get skillful and godly wisdom, get understanding (discernment, comprehension, and interpretation); do not forget and do not turn back from the words of my mouth.” (Proverbs 4:4-6 AMP)

Now understand that Faith comes by hearing which means perception, and perception by the Word of God. The Word is Logos, which means Reason. Reason or awareness directs your perception and determines your knowing.

To know as much of the Word of God is to know as much reason as possible. All wisdom, understanding and knowledge are for you to be convinced about the truth because you are aware of all the reasons that define it. To have absolute faith is to be totally convinced about the truth.

Reason or logic is what runs the entire universe. You need as much reasons as possible to do well.  Reason is what causes others to act and it determines how they act. The programming logic runs the program. If you want to move yourself or others to take a certain action, give as much reason as possible whether logical or emotional, conscious or subtle to persuade, direct and motivate them. Reason can command an entire army to war or it can compel all nations to peace and harmony.

God himself has perfect reasoning and total understanding of all there is. When we are lacking awareness about something but are clearly guided by him in a certain area, that is when we should trust in God with all our heart and not lean towards our limited understanding. God’s reason is the higher reasoning compared to ours. To reason against reason is treason. However, God still wants us to grow in awareness and understanding so that we may reach his level of reasoning and be of one mind with him.

Now I encourage you to Incline your ear unto understanding. Seek to know the reason of a thing. Seek to know all the reasons there are to know about it. Open your heart to be understanding so that you may receive the truth of a matter and not block it out of perception. You need understanding in order to do what is right.

Understanding gives us strength because it makes us bigger than our situations. Knowing all the explanations and reasons of a thing allows you to see it in a definite way. Faith is having certainty.

Some of us have the idea that faith and reasoning are in conflict with each other. They think that if you have reason, you do not need faith, and if you go by faith, you cannot go by reasoning. This paradox has caused the biggest problems in all religion and spirituality. The truth is that faith and reason are the same. In order to have faith about something, you need to know it as true. You cannot know something as true unless you have a reason for it to be so. Faith is reason and reason is faith.

Now in closing, I encourage you to know the truth, and the truth will set you FREE. (John 8:32)  Think globally and work locally allowing your mind to be filled with the truth of God’s word.  May the grace of God rest and abide in you now and forever, in Jesus name, Amen!

MIND REALITY THOUGHTS

FAITH IS THE SUBSTANCE OF THINGS HOPE FOR:

Faith is the beginning of the triumphant life, but knowledge is its consummation. Faith reveals the way, but knowledge is the goal. Faith suffers many afflictions; knowledge has transcended affliction. Faith endures; knowledge loves. Faith walks in darkness, but believes; knowledge acts in light, and knows. Faith inspires to affect; knowledge crowns effort with success. Faith is the substance of things hoped for; knowledge is the substance of things processed. Faith is the helpful staff of the Pilgrim; knowledge is the city of refugee at his journeys end. Without faith there will be no knowledge, but when knowledge is acquired, the work of faith is finished.

FINDING GOD’S WORDS THAT ARE HIDDEN DEEP IN OUR SPIRIT

FINDING GOD’S WORDS THAT ARE HIDDEN DEEP IN OUR SPIRIT

Town Square-Helen, Ga. (Photo by Pastor Davis)

BY SHIRLEY RHODES

Understanding law and grace then applying it to our lives will encourage our hearts as God lives and breathes his spirit in and through our mortal bodies created for that purpose.  When God redeemed mankind they had wandered from his original purpose; however, through love and compassion for his creation, he prepared a body and sent his Son to redeem mankind back to himself.  This act of Love walked, breathed and talked as we do, his journey was one spirit filled.

He created a pattern for sharing all that God had given him by using parables as tools for understanding to everyone.  We choose to follow after Jesus by keeping God’s Words Hidden Deep in Our Spirit; God’s Words hidden deep in our hearts makes us one in him.

Life (animation, salvation) is a gift to be cherished, Jesus says, “I am the light of the world; he that follows me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life (John 8:12). God’s Word Hidden Deep in Our  Spirit  is a light that beckons our weary hearts to look up, be strong, stead-fast, unmovable always abiding in the Lord for he cares for us.

Teach me Lord the way (Psalm 119:33), grant me understanding (34), my soul melt for discouragement: strengthen me according to your word (28).  Your hands made and fashioned me; give me understanding (73), that I might be aware of all your ways.

God encourages each of us to diligently be studious of his Word thereby gaining knowledge, wisdom and understanding for living. The Psalms are filled with words of encouragement, praise and prayer. With teachings such as these, God’s Words are Hidden Deep in Our Spirit, our hearts are encouraged in all things that pertain to life.

Now let us understand and seek out the meaning to these words that are found in the book of

1631 Book of Psalms

1631 Book of Psalms (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

Psalms:

Fret not (1)

Trust in the Lord, you shall be fed (3)

Delight in the Lord; He will give you the desires of your heart (4)

Commit your way to the Lord; he shall bring it to pass (5)

Rest in the Lord; wait patiently for him (6)

Cease from anger; do no evil (7)

Wait on the Lord and keep his way (34)

The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord; and he delights in his ways (23) Psalm: 37: 1, 3, 4, 5, 7, 23, 34

So when life seems to be swirling about, and you feel broken and confused; lift your head up, pull your shoulders back stand tall and smile. With an eye on the prize, and that prize is Jesus, we can say to ourselves with God’s Word Hidden Deep in Our Spirit:

“This I know, he favors’ me, because my enemies do not triumph over me” (41: 11) and keep moving towards your destination while living out the purpose for which you have been created.

HOW GREAT IS THE MAN THAT CAN MANIFEST ENERGY AND POWER THROUGH KNOWLEDGE AND WISDOM

HOW GREAT IS THE MAN THAT CAN MANIFEST ENERGY AND POWER THROUGH KNOWLEDGE AND WISDOM

The Cosmos of Space and Time

When God created man, he did so for his own purpose.  He created man in his own image and likeness.  Then he endowed him with his own character and he manifested him in such a way that man may become a part of the energy and power source that makes this world continue to grow and expand itself in the great cosmos.  He fully equipped man with an imagination that man could develop all the knowledge, power and wisdom he would need to propel him to be a king in the Cosmos.

The entire Universe is nothing more than energy, and everything that is in the Universe is a part of that energy source.  That energy source is never standing still; it is always in motion and expanding!  Never tiring, inexhaustible, and apparently eternal in its operation, it moves in the atoms and in the stars, always informing the fleeting shapes of time with its restless, glowing, and pulsating power.

Man is a portion of this creative energy, and in him it manifests, through a combination of mental faculties, as affection, passion, intelligence, morality, reason, understanding, and wisdom.  He is not merely a blind conductor of energy, but he consciously uses, controls, and directs it.  Slowly, but with certainty, is he gaining control of the forces without, and is making them do him obedient service; and just as surely will he gain control of the forces within—the subtle energies of thought and direct them into channels of harmony and happiness.

Man’s true place in the Cosmos is that of a King, not a slave, a commander under the Law of Good, and not a helpless tool in the reign of Evil.  His own body and mind are the dual dominion over which he is to reign, a Lord of Truth, the master of himself, the wise user and controller of his store of pure, eternal, creative energy.  Let him walk the earth unashamed, strong, valiant, tender, and benign; no longer prostrate in self-abasement, but walking erect in the dignity of perfect manhood; not groveling in selfishness and remorse, and crying for pardon and mercy, but standing firm and free in the sublime majesty of a sinless life.

Long has man regarded himself as vile, and weak, and unworthy, and has been content to remain so; but in the new era which has just now burst upon the world, he is to make the glorious discovery that he is pure, and powerful, and noble when he rises up and wills; and the rising up is not against any outward enemy; not against neighbor, nor governments, nor laws, nor spirits, nor principalities, nor powers, but against the ignorance, folly, and misery which beset him in the dominion of his own mind.  For it is only by ignorance and folly that man is slavish; by knowledge and wisdom his kingship is restored.

Now I conclude with this final thought; let them who will, preach men weakness and helplessness, but I will teach his strength and power.  I write for men, not for babes; for those who are eager to learn, and earnest to achieve; for those who will put away (for the world’s good) a petty personal indulgence, a selfish desire, a mean thought, and live on as though it were not, sans craving and regret.  The Truth is not for the frivolous and the thoughtless; the Life Triumphant is not for triflers and loiterers.  The Bibles teaches us this one valuable lesson; when we come into the full knowledge of the truth of all things and know the truth, the truth will free us from the prison that has kept all things hidden from our minds.

Now may you be blessed with much ENERGY and POWER to comprehend the truth in this message, and then allow it to manifest itself into reality, and then you will know just “HOW GREAT IS THE MAN THAT CAN MANIFEST ENERGY AND POWER THROUGH KNOWLEDGE AND WISDOM!”   We bless this message to you this day in the name of Jesus, who said that if I be lifted up, I will draw all men unto me.  AMEN!

OBTAINING A PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD LEADS TO SELF CONTROL

OBTAINING A PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD LEADS TO SELF CONTROL

God‘s Marvelous Light Show us the way to SELF-CONTROL (Photo by Pastor Davis) Studying God’s word allows us to obtain knowledge of who God is, who we are and who we are in God.

The Bible commands us to study to show ourselves approved; when we do this we reflect a wiliness to be obedient to God, thereby placing ourselves in a position in knowing that, “OBTAINING A PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD LEADS TO SELF CONTROL!”

Studying God’s word allows us to obtain knowledge of who God is, who we are and who we are in God.  When we are able to gain such critical knowledge, and then begin to act on that knowledge, it leads us steady to having SELF-CONTROL over every aspect of our daily lives.

SELF CONTROL is one of the fruits of the Spirit; SELF-CONTROL refers to mastery over sinful human desires in every aspect of our life.  The Greeks considered this a highly prized virtue. Their focus, of course, was entirely on self-effort, but the problem was that self-effort always fails in the long run because it may control the body but does not affect inward desires.

Therefore, the WORD OF GOD speaks to us and says, “For this very reason, make every effort to supplement your faith with virtue, and virtue with knowledge, and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with steadfastness, and steadfastness with godliness, and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love.” (2 Peter 1:5-7 ESV)

The quality of SELF-CONTROL must then lead to patient endurance, the ability to steadfastly endure suffering or evil without giving up one’s faith.  Endurance is not a stoic indifference to whatever fate allows; rather, it springs from faith in God’s goodness and control over all that happens in believer’s lives.

Such endurance leads to godliness,  this is another word that is unusual to the New Testament, but common to Greek ethics lists of that day, we see that Paul emphasized godliness in the Pastoral Epistles as being the virtue that should characterize the life and conduct of the believers.  Godliness was the primary word for “religion” and referred to a person’s correct attitudes toward God and people, usually referring to performing obligatory duties.  Here we discover in 1st Peter the word describes an awareness of God in all of life – a lifestyle that exemplifies Christ and is empowered by him (the same word is used in (1st Peter 1:3).

We as Christians and believers must have a right relationship with God and right relationships with fellow believers.  The false teachers claimed such “godliness,” but were sadly lacking in reverence toward God and in good attitudes toward others.  For all believers, it is a requirement that if we want to obtain SELF-CONTROL over all aspects of our lives, we must work hard to prove that we really are among those God has called and chosen to reflect His teachings and training to overcome SELF.  Pause your thoughts and reading for a few minutes and watch this short video clip teaching on SELF-CONTROL.

Now listen to how Paul describes to us how he trained to gain SELF-CONTROL over his physical body.  He says, “Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one receives the prize? So run that you may obtain it. Every athlete exercises self-control in all things. They do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable. So I do not run aimlessly; I do not box as one beating the air. But I discipline my body and keep it under control, lest after preaching to others I myself should be disqualified.”  (1 Corinthians (9:24-27 ESV).

In closing, I tell you that every believer should be putting out the kind of effort for the reward of God’s Kingdom that an athlete puts out to merely win a wreath.  In order to do so, it requires you to develop SELF-CONTROL and practice SELF-CONTROL daily.

Now let us learn the lesson of SELF-CONTROL that Paul teaches us in this Scripture, because he practiced what he preached.  He had to live by the gospel and therefore he practiced self-denial like the athletes just described in this Scripture.  Paul did not run the race aimlessly, nor was he like a boxer who misses his punches.  Instead, he kept his eyes focused on the goal, running straight for it, with purpose in every step.  He did not allow himself to be sidetracked and he did not waste time becoming lazy.  He kept on, disciplining and training his body.

Paul pictured life as a battle.  We as Believers must not become lazy for Satan seeks to cause us to stumble, sin continues to buffet, and sorrow and pain are a daily reality.  Instead of being bound by our bodies, we as believers must diligently discipline ourselves in our Christians lives in order to stay “in shape.”  When we truly learn to do this, we will be in the process of learning the truth and that is, “OBTAINING A PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD LEADS TO SELF CONTROL!”
