THE JOY OF MOTHERING NINE CHILDREN

THE JOY OF MOTHERING NINE CHILDREN

TODAY WE HONOR ALL MOTHERS AS WE CELEBRATE THIS SPECIAL MOTHERS’ DAY WEEK…

MOTHERING 01

I wanted to be a missionary when I was in my early twenties and was not interested even in dating at university. Suddenly, in a space of a few hours I knew God’s call was marriage;  His presence was so strong, I received an inner image of Jesus’s hand on Michael’s and my heads.I was disappointed but I said yes to becoming a mother even though I had never held a baby before my first child.MOTHERING 02 MOTHERING 03 MOTHERING 04 MOTHERING 05

My children literally saved, healed and set me free. They have shaped my whole spirituality . My life in Christ is simple and full of Joy.

With so much to do, I was forced to let go of control and let God take control. We are cash poor and He has provided for us, even performing a multiplication of heating oil. One tank of oil lasted for 4 months instead of refilling 6-7 times.

Living on a hobby farm helped us raise kids with a good work ethic, who learned how to work and play together. Today they  socialize with other regularly and help look after each other

Melanie Jean Juneau is a petite wife, writer and mother of nine children who blogs at melaniejeanjuneau.wordpress.com. When the words “The Joy of Mothering on a Hobby Farm” popped into her head as a subtitle for her short stories it was like an epiphany for her because those few words verbalized her experience living with little people. The very existence of a joyful mother of nine children seems to confound people. Her writing is humorous and heart warming; thoughtful and thought-provoking with a strong current of spirituality running through it. Part of her call and her witness is to write the truth about children, family, marriage and the sacredness of life, especially a life lived in God.

We thank our Dear Sister in Christ for sharing her beautiful story of The Joy of Mothering Nine with us.  We encourage all our readers to click on this link and visit her Website and get her complete story.  http://melaniejeanjuneau.wordpress.com/author/melaniejeanjuneau/

WHAT ARE YOU WILLING TO SACRIFICE

WHAT ARE YOU WILLING TO SACRIFICE?

WRITTEN BY SHIRLEY RHODES

THE FLOWER MAKES HER SACRIFICE

THE FLOWER MAKES HER SACRIFICE (PHOTO BY SHIRLEY RHODES)

In today’s lesson, I set before you a very important question for you to ponder, and that question is; “What Are You” Really” Willing to Sacrifice for the price that has been paid for your FREEDOM?”  Pride, distrust, envy, hatred, anger, lack of commitment, and unwillingness to love those who strive against you in every way are just a few of the obstacles encountered in life, even when up against such odds, “What are you willing to sacrifice?”

Deciding to step out or move forth requires an in creditable amount of will power and self-discipline, much more than many of us are able to envision in our minds. Making sacrifices requires us to rethink our own agenda, knowing that in life there are no quick fixes. Jesus made that sacrifice in order for us to see and understand that it is possible to reroute the way we think in terms of our daily lives. It is the mission of “the Dark One” to create in each of us self-doubt and when we surrender control of our will we find ourselves on loosing grounds, where we become like a rubber band stretched and pulled so that there is no more room to expand.

So, the question is, “What Are You Willing to Sacrifice?”First of all you must be willing to admit that you are not your own, we are all sinners saved by grace. To sacrifice your will or desire to get to know more about Christ and his many teachings will become one of the greatest accomplishments of your life.

We live as mortal beings, yet we are spiritual, awareness brings about enlighten and we come into that knowledge by submission and change of attitude, no longer conditioned by how the world dictate who and whose we are.

What Are You Willing to Sacrifice?  In Christ we become new creatures with meaning and purpose, willing to surrender our lives to a Savior who patiently waits. Admitting that we are sinners and in need of salvation is a start, acceptance, and total surrender of our lives brings us into an intimate relationship with Christ. We set aside “sacred moments” to allow the Holy Spirit to minister to our needs, learning to live in expectancy.

We must remember that God is not someone we bargain  with; think of your relationship with your parents as a child, how you trusted them in all innocence, or your children dependence on you to meet their needs; Christ is the spiritual connection that brings wholeness, a sense of direction, and is the supplier of all that we need.

Knowing and trusting God to guide you as you journey places you under grace, when its sin verses grace, grace wins. Sin threatens us with death and that’s it. Grace, through Jesus gives us life that is never ending (Romans 5: 20-21).  This means you must not give sin a vote in the way you conduct your lives.

What Are You Willing to Sacrifice? A relationship in Jesus gives us freedom, but we must first be willing to make the Sacrifice.  When we do, He releases us from our chains of bondage that have been placed upon us by the world.  He allows you to lift up your head towards the sky, straighten up your back, stiffen up your spin and provide you with the freedom to walk through the path of rigorousness and fear no evil.  He will prepare a table before you in the present of your enemies, and take you to places that you could only begin to experience in your imagination.  Yes, when you begin to live in the freedom of God, and surrender in obedience to His will, the chains of bondage will be removed and you will be free as a bird.

The question is, What Are You Willing to Sacrifice?  It is well worth the sacrifice to allow the Holy Spirit to come into your life and learn in obedience the way of Jesus, follow the pattern he has so graciously left in place for all of us to follow. Always keep his teachings at the forefront of your spiritual mind and you will journey this life in peace no matter the obstacles.

LET US PRAY AND CONSIDER LIFE

LET US PRAY AND CONSIDER LIFE

WRITTEN BY SHIRLEY RHODES

A Proverb 31 woman is a Woman of Prayer

A Proverb 31 woman is a Woman of Prayer

Today is the first day of the rest of your life, so why not pause your busy body and mind, you’re going and coming; go into your prayer closet and pour your heart out before God as you consider your life and where you are in it this day.  God is in the prayer answering busy and He wants to answer your prayers and show you how you can live a joyful, peaceful, and prosper in all you do.

Let’s consider life and how we may see it.

Every individual is entitled to their own opinion and or belief; no matter what, we all believe in something or someone. The Holy Bible, the written Word of God is studied and shared throughout the world. In it you find instructions for living life filled with hopes and dreams for all humanity, as well as wisdom teachings.

Let’s consider life:

When we take time to explore scripture, pray first and ask for revelation and understanding; you’ll find that when you do so in a quiet place the Word opens up and you’re able to grasp the true meaning of how life is a blessing from God, a blessing to be enjoyed and shared.  Remember Jesus’ teaching about the value and importance of love for each other. Once we are able to grasp the true definition of how that love operates we come into a deeper understanding about life.

Let’s consider life:

The book of Ecclesiastes provides us with a glimpse into the reality of this earthly journey. Once you’ve immerse yourself into the reading you’ll soon gain an understanding of our delicate nature. We are encouraged to make the most of what God gives; Life.  Advice such as, take care of yourself, have a good time and make the most of  whatever life you are privileged to share. We should make the most of what God gives, both the bounty and the capacity to enjoy it, accepting what’s given and delighting in the work. It is “God’s” gift in the present, the now. It’s useless to brood over how long we might live. Jesus says he came so that we might have life, an abundant life. When we consider life, are we ourselves restricting the flow of God’s blessings designed especially for each one of us in due season?  We work to feed our appetites; meanwhile our souls go hungry.

Let’s consider life:

We are reminded in scripture; don’t fret or worry; instead pray–let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayer, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life (Philippians 4:5-7 MGS).

So when we consider life and become familiar with the process of how faith works we are able to experience growth in all areas of our lives, because we have a true friend in Jesus who promised to meet all our needs. He even lets us know how to approach the process, “Ask, and it shall be given; seek and you shall find; knock and the door will open for you”(Matthew 7:7 KJV). Unlock your door, open wide and receive the promise  by opening the Word of God and applying the teachings found there as you journey and live in your purpose. Let’s consider life and become a part of the pattern laid out by our Master Jesus.

FAITH AND DOUBT CANNOT LIVE IN THE SAME HOUSE

FAITH AND DOUBT CANNOT LIVE IN THE SAME HOUSE

Faith and Doubt 02

Faith and Doubt the optimist and the pessimist

Faith and Doubt the optimist and the pessimist

My Brothers and Sisters, I encourage you this day to learn how to live and walk in faith.  Stop allowing faith to be a word that you use to try and convince others about your faith when your actions speaks with a different mindset, because truly I say to you this day, “FAITH AND DOUBT CANNOT LIVE IN THE SAME HOUSE!”

Now click on this short video clip and allow me to speak to you mind some words of wisdom that will further help clarify what this all really means to you.

Here is what James, the brother of Jesus tells us about Faith and Doubt; he says, “Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.”

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts, is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind. For that person must not suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways. (James 1:2-8 ESV)

LEARNING HOW TO CHANNEL YOUR FAITH

LEARNING HOW TO CHANNEL YOUR FAITH

WRITTEN BY SHIRLEY RHODES

FAITH IN THE BEAUTY OF SPRING (PHOTO BY SHIRLEY RHODES)

FAITH IN THE BEAUTY OF SPRING (PHOTO BY SHIRLEY RHODES)

Channeling Your Faith requires changing how you think and your relationship with God, your higher power. We tend to strive for things in the world that will complete or identify who we are instead of whose we are. We adapt to our surroundings allowing that to form our character into the very image of worldly ways or standards that is what’s expected, we’ve come to believe.

Channeling Your Faith assumes a totally different path. Faith requires obedience which moves us from the position of being caught up, conforming to the world’s way. We are reminded of Jesus, his teachings and the pattern he’s given to follow; therefore, we cannot worship two God’s at once. Making the decision to step out in faith requires commitment and sacrifice. Scripture reminds us that faith is not what we see with our mortal eyes but it is a hope (a trust) planted deep in our spirits.

THE BIRD LIVING FREE (PHOTO BY SHIRLEY RHODES)

THE BIRD LIVING FREE (PHOTO BY SHIRLEY RHODES)

In channeling your faith you make the decision to follow God and in doing so don’t concern yourselves with material gains because there is more to life than what you eat and wear; more to who you are than clothing.  Jesus described it this way: “Observe the birds how they are free, unfettered, and careless in the care of God; we are of far more value to God. Observe the wildflowers and all their beauty, they never primp or shop, but have you ever seen color and designs quiet like it? Even those who are best dressed look shabby in comparison.” Just think, If God give so much attention to wildflowers and birds, won’t he take care of you, take pride in you and do his best for you? (Matthew 6:25-33)

What you can do is pay attention to God, how he works, he has promised to take care of his own. So, don’t get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow. James 4:13 puts it this way, “We don’t know the first thing about tomorrow, we are nothing but a wisp of fog, catching a brief bit of sun before disappearing. Instead make it a habit to say, “If the Master wills it and we’ll still alive, we’ll do this or that.”

So you ask, what is the process for Channeling Your Faith? Place everything about you before the Master Jesus, embrace him and his message, become interconnected within the pattern; be willing to change the way you think, don’t become so well adjusted to the world that surrounds you that you’re not able to recognize what it is God wants from you and wants to do through you; embrace the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ. For once in your life dare to be different, allow God’s love to flow through you, from your center, focus on the eternal purpose and move in faith. Allow faith to be your road map, guide, friend and companion and in that, Christ will do within you a mighty work. We are all created and chosen for a purpose.

There’s nothing like the written Word of God for showing you the way to salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. Every part of Scripture is God breathed and useful one way or another–showing us the truth, exposing our rebellion, correcting our mistakes, training us to live God’s way. Learning how to Channel Your Faith molds and shape you for the tasks God has especially for you to share with others, his way.

We hope that this lesson has been a blessing to your soul.  If so why not share it with someone else and allow them to receive their blessing this day.

A UNIVERSAL JOURNEY IN SEARCH OF LOVE AND PEACE

A UNIVERSAL JOURNEY IN SEARCH OF LOVE AND PEACE

WILL NOW TAKE US DEEP INTO THE JOURNEY OF LOVE AND COMMITMENT FOR THE CAUSE OF JESUS CHRIST

Giving God all the praises for His Marvelous Light (Photo by Pastor Davis)

By Shirley Rhodes

In Search of Peace:

If you are seen as “weird,” “strange,” or “indifferent,” it’s okay. If you are following the pattern Jesus has given you’re on a journey that will take you beyond your wildest dreams, just remember, this journey is about love and commitment for the cause of Jesus Christ.

Now let us see how Jesus wants us to prepare for this journey.

So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts to wisdom Psalm 90:12.

Now let us understand how the pattern of following Jesus on this JOURNEY works.  The things that are holy belong to God and are sacred (special, precious); we hold such gifts close to our hearts because they are blessed.

When we are chosen, we’re set apart from the things of this world; we come out of darkness and follow “the light” that is spirit. Unless we are willing to accept this gift of light we have no inner peace, nothing really satisfies the thirst for righteousness. When we wonder about in life, do we ponder the meaning of the many gifts before us and offer praise and thanksgiving or do we literally take life for-granted.  Sanctification sets us apart and instills our hearts and spirit with the desire to follow the pattern Jesus gave.

When we stop and read (learn) of his message and how it applies to our daily life, we process our thoughts and focus on what lies in front of us as the JOURNEY begins. God gave his Son so that we are able to share in his glory.

There are those who are always finding fault, pre-judging, accusing, doubting and giving their opinion of who we are and we allow those acts to influence how we live, but that do not have to be. Jesus made attempts, performed many miracles, gave us instruction for life, He was loving, patient and kind, yet there were (and are) so many who still prefer to wander in darkness than make the sacrifice to follow his pattern of teaching for life.  This is the generation that seek him Psalm 24:6

Jesus summed it all up this way when He said, “Whoever believes in me, believe not just in me, but the One who sent me. Whoever looks at me is in fact, looking at the One who sent me. I am Light that has come into the world so that all who believe in me won’t have to stay any longer in the dark. If anyone hears what I’m saying and doesn’t take it seriously, I don’t reject him. I didn’t come to reject the world; I came to save the world. Whoever puts me off, refusing to take in what I’m saying is willfully choosing rejection. The Father sent me, gave me orders, told me what to say and how to say it. I know exactly what his command produces, eternal life. What the Father told me, I tell you” (John 12:44-50, Mgs)

Jesus teaches us to love thy neighbor as thy self:

He didn’t just stop there, He went on to say, “Children, I’m with you for only a short time longer; let me give you a new command:  Love one another in the same way I loved you. When everyone sees the love you have for each other they will know that you are my disciples (34-35).

Whatever you request along the lines of which I am and what I am doing, I’ll do it. That’s how the Father will be seen for who he is in the Son. Whatever you request in this way I will do it. Because a loveless world, is a sightless world, if anyone loves me he will carefully keep my word and the Father will love him. The Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send at my request, will make everything plain to you.

Peace. I don’t leave you the way you’re used to being left—feeling abandoned bereft (23-28). If you find the godless world hating you, remember it got its’ start hating me. If you lived on the world’s terms, the world would love you as one of their own, but since I picked you to live on God’s terms and no longer on the world’s terms, the world is going to hate you (15:18-19). Fix this firmly in your minds: You’re going to be in deep mourning while the godless world throws a party. You’ll be very sad, but your sadness will develop into gladness (16:20). Your joy will be a river overflowing it’s banks”(24).

In closing, we encourage you to stay focus on the prize and keep in the forefront of your mind that, “THE JOURNEY OF LOVE AND COMMITMENT FOR THE CAUSE OF JESUS CHRIST is one that you have been chosen to participate in and enjoy all the fruits that God has provided for you along the way.  Now Enjoy!

THE SECRET TO RELEASING AND LETTING GO

THE SECRET TO RELEASING AND LETTING GO

When you love something you must release it, [set it free] if it returns back to you it was meant for you, if it does not return it was not meant for you in the first place.

THOUGHTS ON LIVING IN DIVINE ORDER WHEN YOU RELEASE AND LET GO...

THOUGHTS ON LIVING IN DIVINE ORDER WHEN YOU RELEASE AND LET GO…

Release is an aspect of circulation. Release things or people that you no longer need or desire in your life. When you give material things away that you no longer use or want, you make room for what you want to come into your life. Sell or give those things away to people who find better value in them. Release friends and people who no longer serve in your best interest because of their limited mindset or negativity, to make room for new and better ones that do. When you release or leave the lesser, you’ll find that the better thing or person you’ve been waiting for will be able to show up.

Let go of negative emotions due to loss so that you can allow positive restoration to enter. When you hold a grudge, essentially you are denying your connection to creation. You somehow think that you can be made a lesser person, or that your wealth can be taken away, or even that someone can do irreparable harm to you. All those things are impossible. You have as part of your basic nature all you need to be whole. You have that because you are made of the substance that makes everything.

If someone steals from you, or if your property is damaged, you can easily replenish it, provided you are in the flow. If someone hurts your body, miracles can heal it, provided you are in the flow. If someone belittles you, the knowledge of who you are and what your potential is, casts off the remarks like water on a duck’s back, provided you are in the flow.

Unresolved grudges deny who you are. They seem to give truth to your limitations and vulnerability. Then by your invitation, the flow appears to be cut off. Since the flow can’t actually stop, what is happening? Well, the flow is simply creating what you’re expecting. When you think you can be irreparably injured, that is what manifests. When you think someone can take away your abundance, or a part of it, that is what manifests.

Let go of disappointments and failures because they are just part of the journey to achieving success. You are not remembered by the number of failures you make, but by the number of successes you make. People, who have achieved immense success in life, always encounter lots of failures and made lots of mistakes along the way. They still make mistakes as they achieve further success, but they are willing to let go of it all because they know the secret is to keep moving and not be stuck.

Have the attitude of detachment and testing, and having another action to take. Having something else better to be occupied with if you can’t do what you want at the moment. Have the mindset of taking action and seeing if it succeeds, but still persisting as far as you can go anyway. Be persistent yet able to detach. Have the power to hold on to and let go when you want to, and as you wish. Decide and act only according to your wisdom and not anyone’s idea of what you should or should not do.

Your desires can manifest faster when you are detached because of two reasons. The first is that you do not give off negative vibrations with feelings of worry, fear, anxiety, disappointment and regret, because you are able to let go of all negative experiences and keep going on with the fulfillment of your intention in mind. The second is that you keep yourself open to a range of other possibilities and pathways by which your desires can manifest.

Always allow the possibility that you are guided towards something better. Remember that the universe is not limited. If you miss one opportunity to manifest your intention, another one will open up. Another and another. The string of opportunity never runs out. You are able to notice and take the next one if you will let go of the previous one and be free to observe. The universe brings forth everything you desire and nothing is being withheld from you.

Abundance is a flow. You will always have abundance if you are able to let go and remain in flow. When something is taken away, something else will replace it. Otherwise what was taken from you will come back to you with even more than before. Knowing that this is how the universe and God works, you can be free from fear and worry about losing anything. Let go and you can remain happy, and what you want will flow to you. Before leaving click on this short video clip and watch what it takes to overcome your fears.

REMOVE THE BALLS AND CHAINS AND BE LIFTED UP ON WINGS OF ASPIRATION

REMOVE THE BALLS AND CHAINS AND BE LIFTED UP ON WINGS OF ASPIRATION

CHILDREN OF GOD know in your hearts, that this day is the very first day of the rest of your life. Yesterday

BALL AND CHAINS KEEP YOU IN BONDAGE...

BALL AND CHAINS KEEP YOU IN BONDAGE…

is gone and tomorrow is not promised, Therefore, I encourage you, to take flight this day and the ball and chain that have been keeping you from receiving your blessings, remove them and lift off on the wings of Aspiration.  For this day, this moment is the only time that matters.  God is calling you, now listen for His voice and do not allow SATAN’S voice to drown out your blessings.  God is still in control. Let your mind take flight today and begin to see the beauty of all that God has to offer.  God is waiting for you right now, to begin your flight, “and fly high on the wings of Aspiration!”

When your mind becomes Calm and you find Peace within yourself, you will begin to discover by taking flight on the wings of aspiration, you can rises from

THE TIME TO BE LIFTED UP ON THE WINGS OF ASPIRATION IS NOW...

THE TIME TO BE LIFTED UP ON THE WINGS OF ASPIRATION IS NOW…

earth to heaven, from ignorance to knowledge, from the under darkness to the upper light.

Without it, you will simply remain a groveling animal, earthly, sensual, unenlightened, and uninspired. Aspiration is the longing for heavenly things, for righteousness, compassion, purity, love, as distinguished from desire, which is the longing for earthly things, for selfish possessions, personal dominance, low pleasures, and sensual gratifications.

For one to aspire, means that he or she is dissatisfied with their low estate, and is aiming at a higher condition.  It is a sure sign that you will be roused out of your lethargic sleep of animalist, and you have become conscious of nobler attainments and a fuller life. You are now flying high on the wings of aspiration.  Now think deeply on this, and begin to enjoy the very first day of your brand new life.  God gave it to you, now take advantage of your brand new wings and fulfill your dreams.

Truly, you are the master of your destination, where it leads you is the exact place that has been running around in your thoughts.  Your Mind is the Master over all things.  Keep it Calm, Keep it Clear, and learn to live each day as a brand new day in Peace, no matter what the situation around you may be, lift up your eyes towards the Heavenly things and be lifted up on THE WINGS OF ASPIRATION.  The choice is yours, what are you going to do?

I have ministered this message to you this day from a Spirit filled Mind that God has spoken His Thoughts of Wisdom and Knowledge into, and said, “My Servant, be obedient to the truth of My Word and share it with both the Believers as well as Non Believers.  My Word is like a two edge sword, it cuts both to the right as well as to the left.”  May God’s grace and mercy be yours to enjoy this day.

JESUS LIFTED HIS EYES TOWARDS HEAVEN AND SAID FATHER IT IS FINISHED

JESUS LIFTED HIS EYES TOWARDS HEAVEN AND SAID FATHER IT IS FINISHED

WRITTEN BY SHIRLEY RHODES

GOD CREATED THE HEAVENLY SKIES

GOD CREATED THE HEAVENLY SKIES (PHOTO BY SHIRLEY RHODES)

As Jesus lifted His eyes towards heaven, His Mind and the Father’s Mind were connected as one Mind.  He was still teaching us in a moment of great stress to himself; He spoke these words, “Father, display the bright splendor of your Son, so your Son in turn may show your bright splendor. You put him in charge of everything human so he might give real and ETERNAL LIFE all in his charge.  That they know you, the one and only true GOD, and JESUS CHRIST whom you sent, I glorified you on earth by completing down to the last detail what you assigned me to do.

I spelled out in detail your character to the men and women you gave me.  For they are yours by right, everything mine is yours and yours is mine, my life is on display in them. I am no longer going to be visible in the world but they’ll continue in the world while I return to you. HOLY FATHER guard them as they pursue this life that you conferred as a gift through me, so they can be one heart and mind as we are one heart and mind. As long as I was with them in the pursuit of the life you gave them through me, I even posted a night watch and not one of them got away, except for the rebel bent on destruction (the exception that proved the rule of scripture).

Now I’m returning to you, I’m saying these things in the world’s hearing so my people can experience my joy completed in them. I gave them your word; the godless world hated them because of it, because they didn’t join the world’s ways. I’m not asking that you take them out of the world, but that you guard them from the Evil One. They are no more defined by the world than I am defined by the world; make them Holy–concentrate–with truth, your word is concentrating truth. In the same way that you gave me a mission in the world, I’m concentrating myself for their sakes so they will be truth concentrated in their mission.

I’m praying for not only them but also for those who will believe in me, because of them and their witness about me. The goal is for all of them to become one in heart and mind–just as you, Father, is in me and me in you so that they might be one heart and mind with us. Then the world might believe that you in fact sent me. The same glory you gave me, I gave them so they’ll be mature in this oneness and give the godless world evidence that you sent me and loved them in the same way you loved me.

Father, I want those you gave me to be with me, right where I am so they can see my glory, the splendor you gave me, having loved me long before there ever was a world. Righteous Father, the world has never known you, but I have known you and these disciples know that you sent me on this mission. I have made your very being known to them–who you are and what you do–and continue to make known so that your love for me might be in them exactly as I am in them” (John 17:1-26 MGS).   Now pause your thoughts and watch this short video clip of this prayer message.

This is truly the inflatable word of God as He raised His eyes towards heaven and spoken it directly to His Father in Heaven.  May you be blessed by the reading and understanding of what these words meant then and what they mean to you at this moment in time.  We wish you a Happy Easter Sunday Resurrection as you celebrate the Risen Savior of the World.

KING OF THE JEWS

THE KING OF THE JEWS

THE WAY TO THE KINGDOM IS THE WAY TO THE CROSS (MARK 15:25-27)

The King of the Jews Crucifixion (PHOTO BY PASTOR DAVIS)

And it was the third hour (about nine o’clock in the morning) when they crucified Him.  And the inscription of the accusation against Him was written above,

The King of the Jews.

And with Him they crucified two robbers, one on [His] right hand and one on His left.  And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, He was counted among the transgressors.

Jesus was placed on the cross at nine o’clock in the morning.  A signboard stating as a warning.  Because Jesus was never found guilty, the only accusation placed on his sign was the “crime” of calling himself King of the Jews.  This sign was meant to be ironic.  A king, stripped and executed in public view, had obviously lost his kingdom forever.  But Jesus, who turns the world’s wisdom upside down, was just coming into his kingdom.  His death and resurrection would strike the deathblow to Satan’s rule and would establish Christ’s eternal authority over the earth.  Few people reading the sign that bleak day understood its real meaning but the sign was absolutely true.  Jesus is king of the Jews, and the Gentiles, and the whole universe.

When James and John had asked Jesus for the places of honor next to him in his kingdom, Jesus had told them that they did not know what they were asking (Mark 10:35-39).  Here, as Jesus was preparing to inaugurate his kingdom through his death, the places on his right and on his left were taken by two criminals.

A person who wants to be close to Jesus must be prepared to suffer and die as he himself was doing.  The way to the kingdom is the way of the cross.  If we want the glory of the kingdom, we must be willing to be united with the crucified Christ.

We bless this word to each one of you this morning.  Come and worship with us this coming Sunday Morning at 0700, for a very Special Palm Sunday Morning Prayer, Praise and Worship Service.  May your day be filled with Joy, Love and Peace.

IS THERE LIFE FOR MANKIND AFTER DEATH PART 1

IS THERE LIFE FOR MANKIND AFTER DEATH?

THE LIGHT THAT LEADS US FROM DARKNESS TO THE BRIGHTNESS OF GOD’S GLORY                       (PHOTO BY PASTOR DAVIS)

We begin today’s lesson not with one question, but two. The first question is this,  “IS THERE LIFE FOR MANKIND AFTER DEATH?”  The second question is, “IS YOUR FAITH BASED ON THE WORD OF GOD ARE SOMETHING ELSE?”  I consider both questions important for the overall discussion of the Death and Resurrection of JESUS CHRIST.

Therefore, as we begin our forward look towards Easter and the celebration of the life, death and resurrections of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, I find that there is no better time than now to ask these two very important questions, and have you the reader to examine your soul for the answer to a question that so many of us refuse to even consider bringing up in our family discussions.  I find this to be a sad commentary especially for believers.

Now as I was doing research for my book on “LIFE AFTER DEATH,” I came across this quote from another great writer, and it said, “Christianity,” “is a religion of the open tomb.” Keep that thought in mind as you study this lesson on the resurrection. The founder of Christianity could not be kept in the prison house of death. An angel rolled the great stone from the door of Joseph’s new tomb, and the Son of God came forth triumphant over death. “I am the resurrection and the life,” He said (John 11:25).

The apostle Paul argues that the Christian faith stands or falls upon the fact of the resurrection of Christ.

“If there is no resurrection of the dead, then not even Christ has been raised, and if Christ has not been raised, our preaching is useless and so is your faith” (1 Corinthians 15:13, 14).

Now let us understand this one very important truth, and that is this; Jesus came to this Earth to teach mankind a particular lesson; and if He was destined to become the Savior of mankind, then the greatest lesson which He could have taught man was that of faith; faith in his God and faith in a life after death.

THE TOMB OF DEATH COULD NOT CONTAIN HIM (PHOTO BY PASTOR DAVIS)

THE TOMB OF DEATH COULD NOT CONTAIN HIM (PHOTO BY PASTOR DAVIS)

By His very own death, Christ Jesus must bring to man faith, and the belief in a LIFE AFTER DEATH. He preached immortality, and to further impress this fact upon humanity, He must go through the throes of death in order to return to life and bring to man proof of an after death life. To accomplish this He appeared to His beloved disciples in His  spiritual body. In I Corinthians, 15:6, Paul says, “After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once: of whom the greater part remains unto this present, but some are fallen asleep.” He walked and talked to them so that they might believe that what He had preached, the immortality of the soul, was a fact and that after man has laid aside his physical body, he still lives in a finer and more ethereal body.

Our hope of deliverance from sin in this world (see Romans 6:4, 11, 12) and the reality of life in the next (see 1 Corinthians 15:17-23) are dependent upon the resurrection of Jesus. The incarnation of God’s Son, His sinless life and vicarious death, would have availed nothing if He had been kept a prisoner of death. The saints of all ages would remain in their graves, sealed forever, if Christ had not broken the power of death and come forth to immortal life. And Christians would have been “false witnesses about God, for we have testified about God that he raised Christ from the dead. But he did not raise him if in fact the dead are not raised” (1 Corinthians 15:15)!”

We encourage you to open your mind and think deeply upon this lesson and the ones to come.  Our hope is that you who have not accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior find some comfort in these words as you continue to study with us here at VINE AND BRANCH WORLD MINISTRIES.  If you want SALVATION for your soul, you can have it right here and now.  Just stroll to the top of this page and click on SALVATION IS FREE, read it, accept it, and come to know Jesus as your Lord and Savior. FINDING OUR WAY OUT OF DARKNESS

FINDING OUR WAY OUT OF DARKNESS

FINDING OUR WAY OUT OF DARKNESS THROUGH THE THICK FOG OF LIFE (PHOTO BY SHIRLEY RHODES)

FINDING OUR WAY OUT OF DARKNESS THROUGH THE THICK FOG OF LIFE (PHOTO BY SHIRLEY RHODES)

Finding Our Way out of Darkness is like entering a maze, at every junction you’re apt to encounter a stumbling block in the path but you know that unless you regroup and keep searching for the exit you’re apt to wander about for a mighty long time unless intervention (someone else) becomes part of the process. The same is with our earthly lives as we are about our journey each moment in time as purposed by God. In order to find our way out of darkness we must follow the process and grab hold of the eternal message and promise of Jesus Christ and his sacrifice that is able to set us free.

THE PROCESS:

Hear the message, believe through faith, and accept the invitation to become a part of the intricate weaving of the pattern, by doing so a world of light opens which is the key to finding your way out of darkness. Jesus has given us the key to Finding Our Way out of Darkness, all we have to do is be willing and obedient to his call and follow his light into life.

Many might ask, “How does the process work, especially when we don’t know the way? How do we gain access to the key for finding our way out of darkness?”

The massager sent by God is chosen:  Hear the message, believe, confess and accept the teachings of the Holy Scriptures. God has a plan for all his children and it is not his desire that any should be left out of all he has to offer. God is all strength for his people, ample refuge for his chosen leaders (Psalms 28:8 MGS).

Finding Our Way out of Darkness requires us to humble ourselves in the presence of God and totally surrender those things that hinder a relationship with him. The scriptures gives us this part of the plan; how to make the approach to become whole.

How can people call for help if they don’t know who to trust? How can they know who to trust if they haven’t heard of the One who can be trusted? How can they hear if nobody tells them? How is anyone going to tell them unless someone is sent? As it is written, how beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace and bring glad tidings of good things.

So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. The word of faith is that; if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart God have raised him from the dead, you shall be saved. For the scripture says that whoever believes on him shall not be ashamed, anyone that calls on the Lord shall be saved.

The word of faith is the key given for finding our way out of darkness because the word of faith that saves is near you; as near as the tongue in your mouth; as close as the heart in your chest. The word of God welcomes God to go to work and set things right for us (Romans 10:8-17 KJV/MGS).

Listen to what Isaiah says; “Listen to me, all of you who are serious about right living, look to the rock from which you were cut, and to the hole of the pit from which you were dug.

Revelations flows from me, my decisions light up the world. I’ll bring justice to the people, my salvation will last forever”(Isaiah 51:1-6).

As we journey through this earthly realm let us be reminded that there is hope even when finding Our Way out of Darkness.

Now let remember, that God is light and in Him there is no Darkness.  Let us learn to live in the light, and always let the light that is in us shine through to the outside, so that those we meet daily will see that bright shinning light all around us.  When we are full of light, the devil will flee from us because he loves Darkness and in all he does, he try’s to keep us in Darkness.  Click on this short video clip and experience God’s marvelous light as it shines daily and lights up the Universe.

May God’s peace and blessings be yours to enjoy this day and throughout your life, in Jesus name, AMEN!

WHAT DOES LOVE HAVE TO DO WITH VALENTINES DAY?

WHAT DOES LOVE HAVE TO DO WITH VALENTINES DAY?

EXPERIENCING THE JOY OF A LOVING RELATIONSHIP (PHOTO BY PASTOR)

EXPERIENCING THE JOY OF A LOVING RELATIONSHIP (PHOTO BY PASTOR)

Today’s lesson centers on the word love, and we begin our lesson today by answering our own question, and we answer it simply with one word: “EVERYTHING!”  We were first created by a loving God.  He created us to love and be loved.  He commanded us to love our neighbors as ourselves.  This day simply means that we take the opportunity to pause and reflect and think deeply upon what it means for us to love and be loved; then share our thoughts and true feelings of love with those that mean so much to us.  Remember, we are the reflection of that person in the mirror, and that person is a child of God, created to love, and to be loved?

MaxImillion and Tida experiencing the joy of a loving relationship (Photo by Pastor Davis)

Now let us understand a few basic facts about love and being in a loving relationship.  First of all, we’re all either in a relationship, getting out of one are looking for one.  No matter what the situation may or may not be, everyone is seeking love.  Some of us are seeking it in all the wrong places and in all the wrong ways.  No matter, we want love.  We want to be loved and we want to experience it in ways that will define who we are.  Weather we are young or old, rich or poor, we are trying to reach a place in life that will define our happiness, our joy, our place in history, as a man or woman, a family or whatever.  We seek love; we seek to be loved, not knowing that; Love is the foundation and the apex of the pyramid of our existence.

Now listen to what God’s word teaches us about love, it says, “If I speak with the eloquence of men and of angels, but have no love, I become no more than blaring brass or crashing cymbal. If I have the gift of foretelling the future and hold in my mind not only all human knowledge but the very secrets of God, and if I also have that absolute faith, which can move mountains, but have no love, I amount to nothing at all. If I dispose of all that I possess, yes, even if I give my own body to be burned, but have no love, I achieve precisely nothing.

This love of which I speak is slow to lose patience—it looks for a way of being constructive. It is not possessive: it is neither anxious to impress nor does it cherish inflated ideas of its own importance.

Love has good manners and does not pursue selfish advantage. It is not touchy. It does not keep account of evil or gloat over the wickedness of other people. On the contrary, it is glad with all good men when truth prevails.

Love knows no limit to its endurance, no end to its trust, no fading of its hope; it can outlast anything. It is,

Shared moments of love and romance (Photo by Pastor Davis)

Shared moments of love and romance (Photo by Pastor Davis)

in fact, the one thing that still stands when all else has fallen. (1Corinthians 13:1-7 Phillips)

Love suffers for a long time.  Our modern “throw-away” society encourages us to get rid of people in our lives who are difficult to get along with whether they are friends, family, or acquaintances.  Yet this attitude runs in complete contrast to the love described in God’s word.  True love puts up with people who would be easier to give up on.

Love does not envy.  If our love is directed toward others, we will rejoice in the blessings they receive rather than desiring those blessings for ourselves.  Fundamentally, the selfless love that God calls us to does not involve pride or glory.  It does not parade itself and is not puffed up.  In fact, true love does not seek its own.  If we truly love others, we will set aside our own plans, agendas, and entitlements for the good of another.

Love is not provoked.  That is, love is not easily angered or over-sensitive.  When we truly love others, we are careful not to be touchy concerning other people’s words or actions towards us.

Love does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth.  The godly love described in this lesson has nothing to do with evil, but has everything to do with what is right and true.  It believes all things and hopes all things.  This does not mean that love is blind or naïve.  When we love, we may recognize problems and failures in people, but we do not lose faith in the possibilities of what people might become.  Love never gives up, knowing that God can change lives for the better.

Finally, love endures all things.  Love accepts any hardship or rejection, and continues unabated to build up and encourage.  When your relationship has been built on this solid foundation of Godly love, no weapon that the enemy may form against it shall ever prosper.  Love is the glue that bounds all hearts that are filled with Godly love together.  After you have carefully studied this word, prayed on it, meditated on it, I leave you with the question that we begin this word with, “WHAT DOES LOVE HAVE TO DO WITH VALENTINE DAY?”  Now you complete the rest of the story in your own words to the one you love.

A Month of History and Help

Reblogged from Think in Today:

I am convinced that people who have never had the grand pleasure of being addicted to drug use, alcohol, gambling, porn, overeating, etc., or have had mental health issues, or have had no family or friends with any of these issues...yet, could care less that February is National Recovery Month. In the same respect, people outside of the African-American community, have little interest in Black History month, unless they are history-buffs.

THE LORD WATCHES OVER YOU

THE LORD WATCHES OVER YOU

WRITTEN BY SHIRLEY RHODES

The Heavens in our Minds

THE LORD WATCHES OVER YOU AND HE IS YOUR CARETAKER: Psalm 121

If you are willing to surrender to the Lord, he will abide in you and you in him. With him living in you, your life become one of peace, harmony, joy and complete trust.  When faced with many trials and tribulations lift up your eyes to the mountains where the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth patiently awaits your request, your response.  Jesus rescued us from this evil world by offering himself as a sacrifice for our sins; therefore we are blessed through grace and peace that enhance who we truly are.

In Psalm 121 the Bible teaches us that THE LORD WATCHES OVER YOU, AND HE IS THE CARETAKER.  It further says this, “I lift up my eyes to the mountains where does my help come from?  My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.  He will not let your foot slip—he who watches over you will not slumber; indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord watches over you—the Lord is your shade at your right hand; the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord will keep you from all harm—he will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore. (Psalms 121 NIV)

The Lord Watches over You because he already had everything planned from the very beginning. A reminder in the book of JeremiahI know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Then shall you call me, I will listen to you. If you seek me and find me with all your heart (Jeremiah 29:11-13)

Building intimacy with the Lord,   require effort and determination to walk and live in his presence as

we live out our purpose here on earth.  That process include taking time  to study God‘s word, to develop a prayer life, communicating with the Holy Spirit  making our request personal, and releasing those things that hinder our walk  by trusting that God will do what he said he would do. Your life should be one of obedience and total  surrender in order to build a solid foundation and remain connected to the Source that gives all;  always remember that The Lord Watches Over You.

Do you ever find yourself wondering why it seems so difficult to make the right connection? Consider  these words from the book Of Isaiah, “Behold the Lord’s hand is not shortened (amputated) he can still save; neither is his ears stopped up–he can still hear: there’s nothing wrong with God, the wrong is you, your sins got between you and God and caused a split so he doesn’t hear (Isaiah 59:1-2).

Jesus has cleared a way to mend the separation and beckons you to come and taste of the Living Water, surrender to the Caretaker of your soul. When you are willing and with an obedient attitude of thankfulness your blessings flow directly from the Lord, he knows what you need because as stated, The Lord Watches over You. Live life in expectancy by preparing your mind, heart and spirit for all God has promised to those who diligently seek him.

MAN AND WOMAN ARE GOD’S IMAGE BEARERS

GOD’S DESTINY FOR MAN AND WOMAN WAS HIGHER AND MORE NOBLER THAN ANY OTHER CREATURE  (Genesis 1:26-28)

The Bible describes the origin of the sexes as a creative act of GodEvolution has never been able to explain how the sexes beganHumanity was commanded to be fruitful and multiply. Now watch this short video clip and we will meet on the other side.

God said, Let Us [Father, Son, and Holy Spirit] make mankind in Our image, after Our likeness, and let them have complete authority over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the [tame] beasts, and over all of the earth, and over everything that creeps upon the earth.

So God created man in His own image, in the image and likeness of God He created him; male and female He created them.

The crown of God’s work was the creation of man in His image and according to His likeness.  This means that man was placed on earth as God’s representative, and that He resembles God in certain ways.  Just as God is a Trinity (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit), so man is a tripartite being (spirit, soul, and body).  Like God, man has intellect, a moral nature, the power to communicate with others, and an emotional nature that transcends instinct.  There is no thought of physical likeness here.  In contrast to animals, man is a worshiper, an articulate communicator, and a creator.

From the beginning God’s heart to build a dwelling place for Himself in the Earth is seen in His creation of man and woman—together, the foundation of the house of the Lord.  Through the two of them together, He intended to live and reveal Himself in the world.  Through them God intended to manifest His character and authority (image), express His dominion over the Earth, display His indisputable power over the works of darkness, and subdue His archenemy, Satan.  The first man and woman were a microcosm of the church, signaling that God’s glory would forever be seen in the Earth through the combined expression of male and female.  Now, as then, God’s blessing—His promise of success—is upon our unity.

These verses also reveal to us just how God meant for man’s intrinsic value to be, his human worth and divine destiny.  God made sure that man was distinct from the rest of His creation.  The Divine Triune Counsel determined that man was to have God’s image and likeness.  Man is a spiritual being who is not only body, but also soul and spirit.  He is a moral being whose intelligence, perception, and self-determination far exceed that of any other earthly being.

These properties or traits possessed by mankind and his prominence in the order of creation imply the intrinsic worth, not only of the family of mankind, but also of each human individual.

Capacity and ability constitute accountability and responsibility.  We should never be pleased to dwell on a level of existence lower than that on which God has made it possible for us to dwell.  We should strive to be the best we can be and to reach the highest levels we can reach.  To do less is to be unfaithful stewards of the life entrusted to us.

Now let us understand, after having been made out of the dust of the ground, a human begins as any other creature—a biological entity.  The creaturely existence, however, is insufficient to describe the human being, for man becomes the crowning act of creation and is distinguished as being different—God literally breathes life into man.

Unlike the rest of creation, a human being has been created in a covenant relationship to God and has an exceptionally high and distinct value and destiny.  The likeness of man to the Creator is in the form and function of personal unity.  God designed the human personality to consist of self-consciousness and self-determination, with both the freedom and the awareness to respond to God, to other human beings, and to the environmentHe also designed a destiny for man far higher and nobler than that of any other creature.  When God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness,” He had planned from the foundation of the world a glorious future for those who would choose the redeeming grace of Jesus Christ (Eph. 1:4-6).

To God the father, the creator of all there is, to Him be the glory.  In the name of Jesus, we have ministered to you from a position of peace, power, purpose and prosperity.  I remain your brother in Christ, Pastor Davis/Master Teacher.

THE BLESSINGS OF THANKSGIVING IS YOURS TO ENJOY

THE BLESSINGS OF THANKSGIVING IS YOURS TO ENJOY

Today, we begin our week long celebration of our THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY.  It is truly a joyful time of the year to be blessed and bless others as God has purposed us to do.  So come on in and share with us each day as we share with you God’s word for His Blessings over your life and the lives of all His Children of the World.  The World is in turmoil and it needs all of us to do our part in helping our brothers and sisters to be lifted up and stand tall in the world that we share as one in Jesus.

Counting our Blessings (Photo by Pastor Davis)

Together we will celebrate this thanksgiving in a special way, seeking God‘s blessing for all he has done to allow us this opportunity to share with each other our abundance from the feast of the harvest.  Remember, we are our brothers keeper, therefore we must reach out to those that are in need of food and shelter, offer them a helping hand and then watch how God will add to our blessings.

THIS IS GOD MESSAGE FOR HIS PEOPLE

THIS IS GOD MESSAGE FOR HIS PEOPLE

Written by: Shirley Rhodes

FORGIVENESS–FAITH (Photo by Pastor Davis)

In today’s lesson, I present to you, “GOD’S MESSAGE FOR HIS PEOPLE!  The journey of life often aligns our purpose in such a way that challenge is very much present. We may experience many levels of emotions and some of those emotions will find our weak point or may enter when the physical body is at its weakest point. Faith is the key that unlocks the mystery of power and light, the source which is always plentiful to meet every need. No matter how bad things may seem, feeling that connection will lift our spirit, as a reminder that we are never along. In times when we may find  it difficult to smile or share a sense of humor, feel overwhelmed, abandoned, alone, sick and tired, be reminded that there is a message in God’s word.  God’s Message for His People, is simply this: stand firm in faith, trust God to come through no matter how bleak the circumstances may seem. We must be obedient and determined to live life in a state of expectancy. Trust the “Promise”

MORNING SILHOUETTE–OUR LIGHT SOURCE (PHOTO BY SHIRLEY RHODES)

This is what the Lord says, In His Message for His People:  “We learn by example!”

“What fault did your ancestors find in me, that they strayed so far from me?

I had planted you like a choice vine of sound and reliable stock7 I brought you into a fertile land to eat its fruit and rich produce. But you came and defiled my land and made my inheritance detestable.

How then did you turn against me into a corrupt, wild vine?  You broke off your yoke and tore off your

THE VINE AND BRANCHES

bonds; you said, “I will not serve you!” They did not ask, “Where is the Lord who brought us up out of Egypt and led us through the barren wilderness, through a land of deserts and ravines, a land of drought and utter darkness, a land where no one lives?” They followed worthless idols and became worthless themselves, the stain of your guilt is still before me,” declares the Sovereign Lord.

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart.” (Jeremiah 1:5 NIV)

God’s Message for God’s People was always solid as a rock.  He said, “I’ll show up and take care of you as I promised, I know what I’m doing, I have it all planned out–plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for. When you call me, when you come and pray to me, I’ll listen. When you come looking for me you will find me, when you get serious about finding me and want it more than anything else, I’ll make sure you won’t be disappointed, I’ll turn things around for you” (Jeremiah 29:10-14 MGS).

With assurance such as this why not submit all our cares and struggles to the only one who holds the answers? In order to receive our blessings we must be willing to make the sacrifice and with pure hearts rely on the source, follow the pattern. God watches over us and knows all about our circumstances and needs, when we are faithful we know that he will come through when his timing is right.

Beyond all question, the mystery from which true godliness springs is great:

He appeared in the flesh, Was vindicated by the Spirit, Was seen by angels, Was preached among the nations, Was believed on in the world, Was taken up in glory. (1 Timothy 3:16)

Now this is truly God’s Message for His people. He gives it freely, and asks only that you be obedient to His word.  Study to show yourself approved, and then know the truth and the truth will set you free.  May God’s grace and mercy be upon you and cover you in all that you do, now and forever, in Jesus name, AMEN!

Slavery That is Real Today

Reblogged from Think in Today:

Slavery was abolished in the nineteenth century here in the USA. The ripple effect from open crime of slavery that existed has never stopped "rippling." There is an effect from every cause, a reaping of the seed that is sown, and this nation, though many feel that the loss of 600,000 plus individuals in the civil war paid the price for the sin, some still remained enslaved by bitterness and resentments from that dark time in history.
