Sunday Prayer Praise and Worship Service 113 (Trusting God)

Trust God (Photo by Pastor Davis)

Trust God (Photo by Pastor Davis)

My dear brothers and sisters since today is the first day of the rest of our lives, together we will enter into the Kingdom of God, renouncing our allegiance to the world, focusing our attention upon the Word of God, and becoming citizens under the authority of the King of the most high.

We do this because we Trust God to provide for all our needs.  We enter into a country that is flowing with milk and honey, plenty for everyones needs.  No more worrying about what we don’t have to eat, what we don’t have to wear, nor worrying about what tomorrow is going to bring, because now we are leaning and depending on God’s provisions to supply all our needs.  God does not make a promise that He does not fulfill, therefore, you can TRUST GOD…

Heaven Father, we enter into your presence this day, under the authority of your son The Angel Gabriel announcement to Mary by Photo BucketJesus Christ as the author and finisher of our faith, leaning and depending on you.  Thank you heavenly Father for accepting us as New Born Citizens in your Kingdom; we know that it is your will that will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven. We seek your forgiveness of our sins as we grow stronger in your Amazing grace.  Let us not walk in the path of temptation, but be delivered from evil that we may walk up right in your pathway of righteousness in all the days of our lives, in Jesus name we pray, Amen!

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: And those who know your name put their trust in you,
for you, O Lord, have not forsaken those who seek you. (Psalms 9:10)  Then the word of the Lord came to him, “Arise, go to Zarephath, which belongs to Sidon, and dwell there. Behold, I have commanded a widow there to feed you.” 1Kings 17:8-9)

Today’s lesson is from the Book of 1 Kings 17 title: Some Amazing things will happen when you trust God.  Now let us go to the Word and get the rest of the story by Pastor Davis…

Flowers are known as the reproductive organ in plants and when combined into a bouquet there’s beauty and sweet aroma to enjoy.  So I set before you to enjoy the Essence and Beauty of My Flower Garden.

The flowers appear on the earth, the time of singing has come, and the voice of the turtledove is heard in our land. Song of Solomon 2:12

Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things.     1 Corinthians 13:4-7

A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. 35 By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”  John 13:34-35

I will be like the dew to Israel;  he shall blossom like the lily; he shall take root like the trees of Lebanon Hosea 14:5

My beloved has gone down to his garden to the beds of spices, to graze in the gardens and to gather lilies.  I am my beloveds and my beloved is mine; he grazes among the lilies. Song of Solomon 6:2-3

The Journey of Love and Commitment

RIVER OF LIFE (Photo by Pastor Davis)

By Shirley Rhodes

In Search of Peace:

Today, we set out on The Journey of Love and Commitment for the Cause of Jesus Christ, and if you are seen as “weird,” “strange,” or “indifferent,” it’s okay. If you are following the pattern Jesus has given, you’re on a journey that will take you beyond your wildest dreams, just remember, this journey is about love and commitment for the cause of Jesus Christ.

Now let us see how Jesus wants us to prepare for this journey, and we begin with:

When we follow the patterns of scripture, it says,  “teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts to wisdom Psalm 90:12.”

Now let us understand how the pattern of following Jesus on this JOURNEY works.  The things that are holy belong to God and are sacred (special, precious); we hold such gifts close to our hearts because they are blessed.

When we are chosen, we’re set apart from the things of this world; we come out of darkness and follow “the light” that is spirit. Unless we are willing to accept this gift of light we have no inner peace,

The Mystery of the forces of darkness (Photo by Shirley Rhodes)

nothing really satisfies the thirst for righteousness. When we wonder about in life, do we ponder the meaning of the many gifts before us and offer praise and thanksgiving or do we literally take life for-granted.  Sanctification sets us apart and instills our hearts and spirit with the desire to follow the pattern Jesus gave.

When we stop and read (learn) of his message and how it applies to our daily life, we process our thoughts and focus on what lies in front of us as the JOURNEY begins. God gave his Son so that we are able to share in his glory.

There are those who are always finding fault, pre-judging, accusing, doubting and giving their opinion of who we are and we allow those acts to influence how we live, but that do not have to be. Jesus made attempts, performed many miracles, gave us instruction for life, He was loving, patient and kind, yet there were (and are) so many who still prefer to wander in darkness than make the sacrifice to follow his pattern of teaching for life.  This is the generation that seek him Psalm 24:6

Jesus summed it all up this way when He said, “Whoever believes in me, believe not just in me, but the One who sent me. Whoever looks at me is in fact, looking at the One who sent me. I am Light that has come into the world so that all who believe in me won’t have to stay any longer in the dark. If anyone hears what I’m saying and doesn’t take it seriously, I don’t reject him. I didn’t come to reject the world; I came to save the world. Whoever puts me off, refusing to take in what I’m saying is willfully choosing rejection. The Father sent me, gave me orders, told me what to say and how to say it. I know exactly what his command produces, eternal life. What the Father told me, I tell you” (John 12:44-50, Mgs)

Then Jesus moves on and provides us with His greatest lesson of all times by teaching us to love thy neighbor as thy self:

The Joy of Loving one another

He didn’t just stop there, He went on to say, “Children, I’m with you for only a short time longer; let me give you a new command:  Love one another in the same way I loved you. When everyone sees the love you have for each other they will know that you are my disciples (34-35).

Whatever you request along the lines of which I am and what I am doing, I’ll do it. That’s how the Father will be seen for who he is in the Son. Whatever you request in this way I will do it. Because a loveless world, is a sightless world, if anyone loves me he will carefully keep my word and the Father will love him. The Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send at my request, will make everything plain to you.

Peace. I don’t leave you the way you’re used to being left—feeling abandoned bereft (23-28). If you find the godless world hating you, remember it got its’ start hating me. If you lived on the world’s terms, the world would love you as one of their own, but since I picked you to live on God’s terms and no longer on the world’s terms, the world is going to hate you (15:18-19). Fix this firmly in your minds: You’re going to be in deep mourning while the godless world throws a party. You’ll be very sad, but your sadness will develop into gladness (16:20). Your joy will be a river overflowing it’s banks”(24).

In closing, we encourage you to stay focus on the prize and keep in the forefront of your mind that, “THE JOURNEY OF LOVE AND COMMITMENT FOR THE CAUSE OF JESUS CHRIST is one that you have been chosen to participate in and enjoy all the fruits that God has provided for you along the way.  Love one another, He says, as I have loved you! Now enjoy the moment!  And He closes with, “I will be with you, even to the end of time.”  AMEN!

The greatest of these is love

How to harvest the power to heal your physical body (Lesson 3)

Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. (Romans 12:2 ESV)

Believe in the Vision

My dear brothers and sisters we want you to truly “Believe in the Vision that God has provided to you. In our Saturday’s service we ask you to “BELIEVE,” “WHY?” Because this is what the word of God said to you, “truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I am going to the Father.” (John 14:14 ESV)

In our Sunday service we ask you to “TRUST GOD” again this is what the Word said, Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.  In all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make straight your paths. (Proverb 3:5-6 ESV)

Finally God spoke to his Prophet Habakkuk and told him to write the vision, and this is what he said, Write the vision; make it plain on tablets, so he may run who reads it. For still the vision awaits its appointed time; it hastens to the end—it will not lie. If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay. (Habakkuk 2:2-3 ESV)

In this lesson, we are encouraging you to “BELIEVE IN THE VISION!”

Now watch this video for the rest of the story:

Now may you enjoy the peace and blessings of the Lord, for it is truly his divine will that you shall prosper in all you do.  The devil cannot defeat you, because you belong to God.  Trust in him, believe in his word, obey his teaching and the vision will become your victory.
