How prayer can defeat your enemy

Good Morning My Dear Brothers and Sisters; in our lesson this week on “preparing for Spiritual warfare”, we examine for you, “How prayer can defeat your enemy!”  It is so important that we learn how to fight and win this battle using the weapons that God has provided for us and stop trying to use the devil’s own weapon because they are built for him and his evil spirits and they will fail us every time.  So let’s get in the game and learn how to use the most potent weapon in our  warfare and that is the weapon of prayer.

The Lord wants each one of us to become Spiritual Fit, preparing our minds as well as our physical bodies to fight and win.  He wants us to be rooted and grounded in his word.  He wants us to stop allowing satin to brain wash us and become totally spiritually fit to serve him.  He stands ready to prepare us for this Spiritual warfare game that is upon us.

thehelmet of salvation and the sword of the spirit which is the word of God:  Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching there unto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.”  (Ephesians 6:17-18). 

You see when you have the word of God in you; God puts the ultimate weapon in your hand to fight the enemy.  The word of God becomes your sword.  Your enemy cannot stand against you in anyway, for God’s word will cut like a two edged sword, cutting to the right and to the left giving you power to defeat the enemy.

Know that you must always be in prayer, for it is through prayer that you have a direct phone line to God.  You can call him up any time.  He stands ready to help you defeat his greatest enemy called satin.  Pray for each other and your prayers shall be heard.  In Luke 6:28, the bible instructs us to, “Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you.  In 1 Thessalonians 5:17 the bible instructs us to Pray without ceasing.  Having a proper prayer life will guide you successfully through your spiritually fitness.

Leadership for the hearts and minds of the people


Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the father, the son and the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.  And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”  (Matthew 28:19-20)




In order for us to climb that ladder of success, move to that high place that God is trying to take us, it requires strong and deciles leadership.  Jesus has called not only His Disciples, but each believer to GO and become a leader by obeying the Great Commission and making disciples of all nations.

After Jesus had given his disciples their assigned MISSION, he did what any great leader would do.  He then gave them instructions on just how to carry out their mission.

Jesus instructions were crystal clear and concise.  Now listen, take note and understand how these instructions were also meant for you as you accepted Jesus call to GO. These are the instructions Jesus gave his twelve disciples.

“Do not go among the Gentiles or enter any town of the Samaritans.  Go rather to the lost sheep of Israel.  As you go, preach this message: The kingdom of heaven is near.  Heal the sick, raise the dead, and cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons.  Freely you have received, freely give.  Do not take along any gold or silver or copper in your belts; take no bag for the journey, or extra tunic, or sandals or a staff; for the worker is worth his keep.” “Whatever town or village you enter, search for some worthy person there and stay at his house until you leave.  As you enter the home, give it your greeting.  If the home deserves, let your peace rest on it; if it is not, let your peace return to you.  If anyone will not welcome you or listen to your words, shake the dust off your feet when you leave that home or town.  I tell you the truth; it will be more bearable for Sodom and Gomorrah on the Day of Judgment than for the town.  I am sending you out like sheep among wolves.  Therefore be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves.”  (Matthews 10:5-16)

These instructions will never self-destruct.  They are a permanent part of your road map into the future.  The choice is yours, the future is NOW!  You must stop wasting time and be about God’s business.  He is standing at the gate waiting on each one of us that has accepted His call to GO, to walk swiftly through the gate and into the arms of the FATHER who is patiently waiting.

Living a truly Divine Life in the Moment by the Word



My dear brothers and sisters, today I release my God given creed to you on how you can live in the moment and truly live a Divine Life.  Take it, read it, study it, claim it for yourself and write it upon your heart in order that you may begin the process.  Remember, today is the first day of the rest of your life.  Believe in the power of the Word, and be Free to live your Divine Life by the Power and Presence of the Word.


I LIVE BY DIVINE FAITH—a faith in God that is like a bridge over troubled waters.   Secure and confident, I rise in thought and act above whatever challenges may be swirling around me.  I live the fullness of life.

MY FAITH assures me, so that I accept each change for what it is:  a new beginning.  This is a time for greater strengths to be realized and expressed by me, for greater blessings to flow to and from me, for greater fulfillment to be accepted and shared by me.

MY JOY COMES FROM WITHIN! Today my life is fuller, richer, and more fun than ever, because I approach each day from the joy in my heart. The people I know and love bring me joy, but I can also choose to manifest happiness on my own. My happiness is an inside job.  As I appreciate everything in life, I am joy in expression!

MY PROSPERITY IS IN DIVINE ORDER:  I accept the abundance of God that is always flowing to me and through me.  I give and receive joyously and gratefully.  When God said that the promise land will be flowing with milk and honey He was assuring us that if our faith was strong as a mustard seed, that our world would be flowing with blessings, and filled with a life of divine potential.  Knowing this, I am bold in spirit. I am aware of my own divine potential for living a life of my dreams.

I am assured by the word of God that peace and tranquility will prevail in my life because I am a work in progress. I do all that needs to be done by me with ease and efficiency.  I balance my work, family, and social life, my schedule may be tight and my responsibilities many, but I am not concerned.  I keep my thoughts up above the busyness and remain calm and clear, knowing that divine order is established in my life, and in all of life.

MY LIVING INDIVINE ORDER ASSURES ME; that I am abundantly supplied with all I need.  Time and resources are available to me.  Strength, energy, and intelligence are mine.  Aligned with God’s law of order, I flow with life’s scheduled and unscheduled events.

Getting past a time of trouble is not about my knowing the details of how blessings will come to me.  In faith I know with certainly that I will receive them.  Living in the moment with God, I understand that change ushers in a time of newness and discovery.

I ACCEPT, I RELEASE, AND I AM FREE!  Today I am FREE, and my FREEDOM, comes from knowing that I am a son of the KING. Peace and power prevails within me. I release all things to God—all worry all pain. Both physically and spiritually, I feel His peace washing over me. I am comforted. The Spirit of God is here—within me and everywhere around me. His Spirit sustains and upholds me at all times and allows me to remain FREE.

Today my life is in DIVINE ORDER and I am living FREE, because I am a work of ART in progress.

To God be the glory, may you live in the Peace, Power, Purpose and Prosperity of the Lord our  and Savior Jesus Christ.

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, do you really understand who you are when you look into the mirror and see that face looking back at you?  Do you ever ask the question, Oh God, who am I?  What I want you to understand in this lesson and the many lessons we teach here is How Humility works to bring you into the knowledge and power of  just who you are, who God is, and who you are in God.  Re-read and comprehend this last statement because it holds more power than an atom bomb.

The reward for HUMILITY and fear of the LORD is RICHES and HONOR and LIFE. (Proverbs 22:4 ESV) Now I ask you, how many of you do not want to experience these blessings in your life. God is teaching us how to live as that new person in this season and experience a true abundant lifestyle, BY LEARNING HOW TO EXPERIENCE HUMILITY AS A WAY OF LIFE!

In this, we are given a choice, we can befriend God are we can befriend the world. Some of us may say that we will befriend both God and the world, but in practice, we can only choose one way. The more we give ourselves to the world, the stronger will be our allegiance to the world. The more we give ourselves to God, the stronger will be our bond with him. This is what Jesus says, “Wherever your treasure is, there your heart and thoughts will also be. (Matthew 6:21)

We have to remember, that we can find strength in the Lord, to live a humble lifestyle and receive all the lords abundant BLESSINGS. Although the world may consider us weak, when we show HUMILITY, this is because the world wants us to be filled with pride, and God sets himself against the proud, because pride makes us self-centered and leads us to conclude that we deserve all we can see, touch, or imagine. It creates greedy appetites far more than we need. Pride can subtly cause us to no longer see our sins or our need for forgiveness.

But remember this one great truth, HUMILITY opens the way for God’s grace to flow into our lives; thus, God shows favor to the HUMBLE.

Do not get so caught up in the ways of the world and the people that surrounds you, that you lose sight of who you are, who God is, who you are in God, that your heart becomes so hearten that you cannot HUMBLE yourselves in the presence of the Lord.

Understand this fact, “HUMILITY is not weakness; instead, it is the only place that believers gain courage to face all their temptations and sins with God’s strength.” As God gives us more grace, we realize that this world’s seductive attractions are only cheap substitutes for what God has to offer. It is our choice we can HUMBLE ourselves and receive God’s grace, or we can continue in our pride and self-sufficiency and experience his anger.

Now let me conclude this by leaving you with these two questions; (1). How do we, so prone to pride at the very moment when we think we might be approaching humility, discover true humility? (2). How do we become the kind of humble people who find the overflowing grace that God promises?

Well, listen to how Scripture teaches us to do it; “Let God work his will in you. Yell a loud no to the Devil and watch him scamper. Say a quiet yes to God and he’ll be there in no time. Quit dabbling in sin. Purify your inner life. Quit playing the field. Hit bottom, and cry your eyes out. The fun and games are over. Get serious, really serious. Get down on your knees before the Master; it’s the only way you’ll get on your feet.” (James 4:7-10 MSG)

May the grace of God fill your lives with His overflowing blessings, and bring you much joy and peace now and forever, in Jesus name, AMEN!

FAITH and TRUST IS: A perfected combination for Christian growth. The question is do you really trust God if not are you able to say why?  The following virtues should help in understanding just how much power lies within your physical body powered by the spiritual.


Endurance requires determination to follow the plan Jesus laid out for each of you before he departed this earthly realm. His care, compassion and concern were that each of you listen carefully and be obedient to his call on your life. Therefore, in this world you are encouraged to lay aside every weight and sin which so easily ensnares us and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us looking unto Jesus…who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross…consider him who endured hostility…lest you become weary and discouraged… (Hebrews 12: 1-7; NKJV).


We all experience moments in life that patience is a virtue we must tap into. Patience usually brings you to that place you’ve discovered that life does not go according to “your” plans, but in all actuality according to the plan of God. It is here we become frustrated, impatient, and sometimes even angry due to lack of patience. What you must remember is that patience is what Jesus displayed in dealing with this world and those who challenged him, we are no different. When you are able to come to the mindset that godliness and contentment is great gain…pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, gentleness. Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on to eternal life to which you are called… (1Timothy: 6:6-11). Therefore my friends, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience; but let patience have its perfect work that you may be perfect and complete (James 1:2-4).


Meekness, absence of self, overcoming pride, arrogance

When you become self –absorbed, you become blinded to the needs of others. What is most important in this Christian walk is that you must remember, it’s not about you, but about the lives you touch in such a way change is experienced. We are all a part of something greater than we are as mere humans, so grab hold of the source of power that leads you to heights you’ve never experienced. Take on the attitude of “love” for one another while understanding that the Holy Spirit is directing your every move, thought and action. There is no greater joy to reach for or to become a part of because the scriptures reminds you, that “greater is he that’s in you than he that is in the world.”


Your strength to overcome, endure and run the race lies in your relationship with God who inspires hope through faith and grace. God is salvation, refuge, helper, and mighty in power for those who chose to follow his plan; all things come from him, we are his instruments and can live life in expectancy for a greater day. The Lord is my salvation, whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life, of whom shall I be afraid? (Psalm 27: 1-2)

When troubles come remember that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1)

He gives power to the weak, and those who have no might he increases strength. Those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength (Isiah 40: 29-31)

Strengthen your brother (Luke 22:32)


Reading through scripture opens the mind to all avenues of this earthly life; therefore, you are encouraged to seek knowledge and understanding that will guide you to and through your purpose. Titus chapter 2 describes character and how to encourage as well as apply those principles to ones’ own life journey.  As for you, speak the things which are proper for sound doctrine (Titus 2: 1; NKJV). First addressed: guide older men in virtues as temperance, dignity, wisdom, faith, love and endurance. They are in return to guide younger men to live discipline lives; build up their courage; discipline them if they get out of line; do this your- self and lead by example.

As for older women, they should be reverence, non-gossipers, nor drunkards but models pf goodness. They are to teach young women to love their husbands and children; be virtuous and pure; keep a good house and be good wives. The older women are to lead by example as well.

You may ask the question why?

Demonstrating how to turn their backs on a godless indulgent life and how to take on a God filled, God honoring life, for the glorious day when our great God and Savior Jesus Christ appear; he offered himself as a sacrifice to free you. Your have a hope in knowing that whatever comes you will experience growth that often come when least expected.

BE AN OVERCOMER and value yourself because God sees value in you; therefore, be diligent in service with a willingness to work for what you need. When you’re moving forth in your purpose, he has promised to supply what you need to accomplish your goals. You are encouraged to be anxious for nothing but in prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God (Philippians 4:6). Again I say, God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory and by Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19).
