“To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven.” (Ecclesiastes 3:1; NKJV) A time of war and a time of peace (verse 8).

In remembrance of our arm forces, today is set aside to say we appreciate how you give of yourself unselfishly in your efforts to secure freedom and peace around the world. You accept your calling with dignity, courage and strength and move without hesitation when called. It is with utmost respect we say thank-you. We say thank you to your spouses, families and communities for sharing your gifts and talents in time of war and peace.

So we offer this prayer:

Most Holy and all wise God, we approach your throne (presence) with thanksgiving on the tip of our tongue and praise in our hearts. We know that war shatters many lives as our soldiers go into battle. We thank you for giving them courage and respect for the career which they have chosen in the name of freedom. Father we know that there are many battle scares to be dealt with, we ask that you touch each and every-one of them in a special way so that they’re able to live whole and productive lives. Give families strength and a sense of duty in time of need and encouragement. We pray that those whom have given their lives for the cause of freedom will always be remembered in the hearts and minds of our people.  This day set aside to pay respect is an honor and our way of saying thank you for the freedom we have because of so many sacrifices.

Amen, Amen.

As families gather, parades represent is grand stand, and the American Flag waves freely, let us lift up our eyes toward glory and thank God for being free. We are most thankful for all who have freely given of themselves with hearts of courage and sacrifice. Thank all of you for a job well done, and GOD BLESS AMERICA!

Monday’s Word of Encouragement (Attitude)

YOU SHOULD BEGIN THIS WEEK WITH THE RIGHT MENTAL ATTITUDE

CHOOSE TO BECOME ONE WITH GOD (Photo by Pastor Davis)

CHOOSE TO BECOME ONE WITH GOD (Photo by Pastor Davis)

My dear brothers and sisters as you begin this week I am encouraging each of you to challenge yourselves to become one with God.  In order to do so you must have the right mental attitude.  Center your thoughts on the things above and not the things of this world.  The Bible tells us in Romans 12:2 to be not conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your minds.  Your dominant thoughts will determine your success or failure as you journey throughout this week on your way towards your divine destiny.

Remember you are the thinker of your thoughts and as such you are the maker of your own conditions in this life.  We want you to learn how to have good thoughts therefore being able to enjoy the peace and contentment that comes with the positive side of the equation of your thought process.

Know this, Ii your dominant mental attitude is peaceable and lovable, bliss and blessedness will follow you; if it be resistant and hateful, trouble and distress will cloud your pathway.  Out of ill will, will come grief and disaster; out of good will, healing and reparation will flow to you.  Nothing appears without adequate cause.  Everything that happens is just.  Nothing is fated, everything is formed.

Now listen carefully to my closing words in this lesson today; as you think you travel, as you love, you attract. You are today where your thoughts have brought you; you will be tomorrow where your thoughts take you. You cannot escape the result of your thoughts, but you can endure and learn, you can accept and be glad.

You can alter your thoughts, and so alter your condition. Strive to perceive the vastness and grandeur of your responsibility. You are powerful, not powerless. You are as powerful to obey as you are to disobey, as strong to be pure, as you are to be impure, you are as ready for wisdom as you are for ignorance.  You can learn what you will, and can remain as ignorant as you choose.

Finally, if you love knowledge you will obtain it, if you love wisdom you will secure it, if you love purity you will realize it. All things await your acceptance, and you choose by the thoughts which you entertain. Therefore my brothers and sisters began this week with the right mental attitude, choose well your thoughts, and thank on the goodness of the Lord and where he has brought you from and where he  is taking you to. “Choose to become one with Him!”

Wednesday Inspirational and Motional Service (Overcoming the Impossible)

FAITH AND DOUBT CANNOT DWELL IN THE SAME HOUSE

Pilot Mountain, N.C. (Photo by Pastor Davis)

We begin this lesson today with Jesus teaching us how we can overcome the ABSOLUTE IMPOSSIBLE.  Now listen to how Jesus teaches us to overcome the IMPOSSIBLE.  He says, “Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.”  (Mark 11:23-24 ESV)

Jesus then moved swiftly in teaching them a lesson about answers to prayer.  Jesus had cursed the fig tree; the fig tree had died; the disciples had expressed surprise.  Then Jesus explained that they could ask anything of God and receive an answer.  This mountain (referring to the Mount of Olives on which they stood) could be sent into the sea (the Dead Sea that could be seen from the Mount).  Jesus point was that in their petitions to God they must believe and not doubt (that is, without wavering in their confidence in God).  Remember, “FAITH AND DOUBT CANNOT DWELL IN THE SAME HOUSE.”  The kind of prayer Jesus meant was not the arbitrary wish to move a mountain; instead, he was referring to prayers that the disciples would need to endlessly pray as they faced mountains of opposition to their gospel message in the years to come.  Their prayers for the advancement of God’s Kingdom would always be answered positively in God’s timing.

However, as we look at the straight forward teaching of Jesus concerning the character of God and that God’s character never changes, Jesus told them that there was no guarantee that simply by asking him anything they wanted and believing they could get it.  Now don’t you become discourage in what Jesus is saying to the disciples, but listen how he instructs them on the moral high ground of God.  He says to them, “God does not grant request that violate his own nature or will.  Jesus statement was not a blank check.  To be fulfilled, requests made to God in prayer must be in harmony with the principles of God’s Kingdom.  They must be made in Jesus name.

Now turn with me for a moment in your Bibles to (John 14:13-14).  Listen to what it says, “And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it. The stronger our faith, the more likely our prayers will be in union with Christ and in line with God’s will; then God would be happy to grant them.  God can accomplish anything, even if it seems humanly impossible.

Impossibility is not a word that should be used in our lexicon.  In understanding this text we should be moved into action.  Know that in our minds we can do anything in the name of Jesus.  There is no mountain to high that we cannot climb, no valley to low that we cannot walk through.

We should not become like the motions of the ocean.  Always going back and forth, but we should be so rooted and grounded in our faith that no matter what comes after us we will always be able to with stand it.  We are built of strong timber, the timber of Jesus Christ.  When God says that nothing is impossible, we must learn to trust God in his word.  Knowing that God can never tell a lie, if he does he will deny himself.  God never makes a promise that he does not fulfill.  Our faith must be rooted and grounded in the word of God.  Our spirit must be one of can do.  Having a can do spirit will remove the mountains of impossibility from your life.

When the doctors says to you that you only have six months to live, and there is nothing else they can do for you.  Your attitude must be one of faith.  Faith in Jesus, Faith that if Jesus said it, it is a done deal; Jesus said that if you believe in God without doubt in your mind, nothing is impossible.

Change your thinking and you will change your life.  Tell the doctor that my God said not until he says it is time for me to go, that I will leave this world.  I can overcome this, I will overcome this because I am leaning and depending on my God.  I am an over comer, I am born in the Spirit of the living God.  For me nothing is impossible.  Today not only do I talk the talk, but I am walking the walk.  I am walking out my faith in the name of Jesus.  I know that my God did not bring me this far to leave me.  He promised me that He would never put on me more than I could bear.  I am standing on that promise, because I know that this check that my God has given to me, I can deposit it into my bank account and it will never bounce.  Faith, Faith, Faith, it is my faith that will always see me through.  Come on now let’s walk it out, talk it out.  Let’s tell the devil, devil get thee behind me, because I am holding onto My God’s unchanging hands.

Faith, Faith, Faith, there is nothing that is impossible in my world.  Step by step I am moving closer to where My God is trying to take me. It was nothing but Grace that brought me through the tribulations of this life.  It was nothing but God’s grace that brought me up on the rough side of the mountain and planted my feet right here where I am standing today.

Now sing this hymn with me, “Amazing grace, how sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me!  I once was lost but now I am found, I was blind but now I see.  Taws grace that taught my heart to fear, and grace my fears relieved; how precious did that grace appear the hour I first believed!”

It was God’s grace that gave me the opportunity to change my thinking, It is my faith that has sustained me, it is my faith that has healed me, and I know that it is my faith that will move any mountain in my life, because I believe in the true and living God and I know without a doubt that “FAITH AND DOUBT CANNOT DWELL IN THE SAME HOUSE.” What about you?

Monday’s word of Encouragement (Be lifted up on the Wings of Aspiration)

REMOVE THE BALLS AND CHAINS AND BE LIFTED UP ON WINGS OF ASPIRATION

CHILDREN OF GOD know in your hearts, that this day is the very first day of the rest of your life. Yesterday

BALL AND CHAINS KEEP YOU IN BONDAGE...

BALL AND CHAINS KEEP YOU IN BONDAGE…

is gone and tomorrow is not promised, Therefore, I encourage you, to take flight this day and the ball and chain that have been keeping you from receiving your blessings, remove them and lift off on the wings of Aspiration.  For this day, this moment is the only time that matters.  God is calling you, now listen for His voice and do not allow SATAN’S voice to drown out your blessings.  God is still in control. Let your mind take flight today and begin to see the beauty of all that God has to offer.  God is waiting for you right now, to begin your flight, “and fly high on the wings of Aspiration!”

When your mind becomes Calm and you find Peace within yourself, you will begin to discover by taking flight on the wings of aspiration, you can rises from

THE TIME TO BE LIFTED UP ON THE WINGS OF ASPIRATION IS NOW...

THE TIME TO BE LIFTED UP ON THE WINGS OF ASPIRATION IS NOW…

earth to heaven, from ignorance to knowledge, from the under darkness to the upper light.

Without it, you will simply remain a groveling animal, earthly, sensual, unenlightened, and uninspired. Aspiration is the longing for heavenly things, for righteousness, compassion, purity, love, as distinguished from desire, which is the longing for earthly things, for selfish possessions, personal dominance, low pleasures, and sensual gratifications.

For one to aspire, means that he or she is dissatisfied with their low estate, and is aiming at a higher condition.  It is a sure sign that you will be roused out of your lethargic sleep of animalist, and you have become conscious of nobler attainments and a fuller life. You are now flying high on the wings of aspiration.  Now think deeply on this, and begin to enjoy the very first day of your brand new life.  God gave it to you, now take advantage of your brand new wings and fulfill your dreams.

Truly, you are the master of your destination, where it leads you is the exact place that has been running around in your thoughts.  Your Mind is the Master over all things.  Keep it Calm, Keep it Clear, and learn to live each day as a brand new day in Peace, no matter what the situation around you may be, lift up your eyes towards the Heavenly things and be lifted up on THE WINGS OF ASPIRATION.  The choice is yours, what are you going to do?

I have ministered this message to you this day from a Spirit filled Mind that God has spoken His Thoughts of Wisdom and Knowledge into, and said, “My Servant, be obedient to the truth of My Word and share it with both the Believers as well as Non Believers.  My Word is like a two edge sword, it cuts both to the right as well as to the left.”  May God’s grace and mercy be yours to enjoy this day.

Saturday Morning Devotional Prayer and Praise Service (Prayer and Obedience)

PRAYER AND OBEDIENCE ARE OUR WEAPONS

Prayer and Obedience

Prayer and Obedience

As we sit and watched on our T.V. screens these past few days the great city of Baltimore, Md be looted and burned by a few unruly, undisciplined and yet a few very determined individuals to destroy property of others, let us remember that we as believers must use our weapons of prayer and obedience to tear down strongholds and build up Gods’ Kingdom here on this earth in order that the old devil will not continue to destroy God’s people lives and property.  What took place this past week must never be accepted nor tolerated ever again?

Therefore, on this day of our prayer and praise service, I encourage every believer from every EXODUS 03corner of the world to come together, lift up your Holy Hands in prayer for our citizens and leaders that they may humble themselves in meekness before the Lord and seek His blessings over their lives and the lives of the people that they have been called to lead, serve and protect, lift up the name of Jesus in prayer and praise that He will strengthen each person to do what’s right and pleasing in the sight of the Lord this day.

Paul the Apostle of Jesus Christ says to us, “For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh.  For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ, being ready to punish every disobedience, when your obedience is complete.”  (2 Corinthians 10:3-6 ESV)

Let us remember that we as believers are fighting a spiritual battle against the evil forces of Spiritual Warfare 02darkness that have align themselves against God’s people, and it cannot be fought with the weapons that the world are using, it would be a foolish mistake to even think that we could use physical weapons, physical strength, worldly strategies and material wealth to fight and win a spiritual battle that requires spiritual weapons which can only come from God.

Therefore, let us prepare our hearts and minds to use prayer and obedience as our weapons of choice today to fight and win this battle that is raging all around this country and throughout the world.  Let us be obedient to the Word of God, humble ourselves in prayer and praise as we lift up His Holy name, giving Him the Honor and glory for where we are today, seeking His blessings, His guidance, direction and total control over the affairs of this world that the world may be saved from its total destruction by entering into a peace treaty of love, forgiveness and excepting Jesus as their Lord and Savior, in Jesus name, Amen!

Now click here and receive my weapon of choice…

For the word of God teaches us that where two are more have gathered together in His name that He would be in the midst of all that is taking place, we believe that the Lord is here with us today as we share our prayers and blessings with each other and for those that are suffering and in the greatest need.  So I thank each of you who have come forth this day in prayer and praise, may the Lord’s peace and blessings be upon you as you go out into the world to do His will in Jesus name, Amen!

Be persistent and never give up

Life will always present us with many trials and tribulation, and we will sometimes get knock down and may experience some difficulties in getting up and back onto our feet again.  But get up we must, for God is presenting us with the opportunity to stand strong in the face of what may seem impossible at the moment.  We must Be persistent by never giving in and never giving up.  Listen to what Jesus told His disciples, He said to them, that they must always keep on praying and never give into temptations, trials or tribulation.  (Luke 18:1)

If there is something in this life that we desire, we must be persistent in going after it and never giving in and never giving up.  The opportunities that are waiting for us out there will only become available to us when we are persistent with our knocking and keep on knocking.  Now watch this short video clip of a baby bear and a lion…
