You are a chosen vessel for the will of God…

WRITTEN BY SHIRLEY RHODES:
God works through you when in obedience and humility you surrender and totally submit to his will. You are filled with purpose and there are goals set and designed especially for you simply because you are an intricate part of the pattern. Think of a pattern, a design, it is drawn out according to a specific plan and when followed that plan is perfected. Here are examples of the movement of God through his chosen people who surrendered and allowed him to perform miracles in and through them.
Moses and the burning bush:
…God called Moses from the mist of the burning bush… “Moses, Moses!” Moses responded, “Here am I.” God said, “Do not draw near this place, for the place where you stand is holy ground. Take your sandals off your feet.”(Exodus 3:4-5; NKJV) There was a reason and purpose for this command, God was about to send Moses on a mission in which he could not yet comprehend, yet he was obedient, he was created in the mind of God with a purpose to carry out his plan.
Joshua and the wall of Jericho:
Joshua fell on his face to the earth and worshipped…the Commander of the Lord’s army said to Joshua, “Take your sandals off your feet, for the place where you stand is holy.” (Joshua 5:13-15) Joshua was chosen by God for his leadership abilities and obedience. After the Death of Moses, God assured him that he was keeping his promise in giving them every square inch of the land they set their foot on. He said to Joshua, “Go, all your life no one will be able to hold out against you; I’ll be with you, I won’t give up on you, I won’t leave you…you are going to lead the people to inherit the land that I promised to their ancestors (Joshua 1:1-9; MGS). Through divine intervention, Joshua went on lead the people through many successful battles, God’s promise. We too are partakers of such a greater promise when we are obedient followers of the Gospel of Jesus Christ; not mere words of expression, but a “promise.”
Paul on the road to Damarcus:
…a light shorn around him from heaven, he fell to the ground and heard a voice… “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?” He said, “Who are you Lord?” The Lord said, “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting…arise and go… (Acts 9: 4-6; NKJV). For I will show him (Paul) many things he must suffer for my name’s sake.” (Verse: 16). ‘Make haste and get out… depart, for I will send you… (22:17), be of good cheer, Paul… (23:11); for Jesus says, “…be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” (John: 16:33)
Paul accepts his assignment and follows Jesus amidst many trials and tribulations and he reassures us in this way, “Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected, but I press on…forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead. I press toward the goal for the prize…let us walk by the same rule, let us be of the same mind.” (Philippians 3:12-15)
My friends when you are given a command to follow God’s plan for your life, take the step, not knowing what’s ahead nor be concerned about what’s behind. God does not need to recreate any of you, because what he has created lives within you waiting to be activated. It is the prayer of this ministry that your journey, your assignment be one of endurance, patience, obedience, love, joy and peace; all to the glory of God. Be blessed!
My brothers and sisters we pray that this lesson has been a blessing to your soul, thank you for reading and sharing it with all the people the Lord has brought into your presence.
