Monday’s Word of Encouragement (Over Coming the Opposition)

Each day we awaken we will always be faced with opposition in our lives. The challenge for us as we begin this brand new week is to over come the opposition, lift our sites towards the heavens, come boldly before the throne of grace and know that God has given you the power to beat the devil at his own game, and say, “through God I can do all things, and not worry about the opposition, because God is strengthening me, He is blessing me, and lifting me higher and higher day by day.

Monday’s Word of Encouragement (Mind your Manners)

MIND YOUR MANNERS AND BRIDLE YOUR APPETITE

Exclusive Restaurant

Have you ever been invited out to dinner, entered into a very classy restaurant, escorted to your table and handed several menus; as you sit down and looked at them from the wine list to the desert menu, the price of it all caught your eye and you begin to wonder, should you really be here with this individual?

Now let us look at just how the scriptures teach us to deal with the situation!

It says, “when you go out to dinner with an influential person, mind your manners: Don’t gobble your food, don’t talk with your mouth full. And don’t stuff yourself; bridle your appetite.

Don’t wear yourself out trying to get rich; restrain yourself! Riches disappear in the blink of an eye;
wealth sprouts wings and flies off into the wild blue yonder.

Don’t accept a meal from a tightwad; don’t expect anything special. He’ll be as stingy with you as he is with himself; he’ll say, “Eat! Drink!” but won’t mean a word of it. His miserly serving will turn your stomach when you realize the meal’s a sham. (Proverb 23:1-8 MSG)

BE ENCOURAGED by the Word of God, because it will never fail you…

Monday’s Word of Encouragement (Get up and get going)

TIME WAITS FOR NO ONE (Photo by Pastor Davis)

TIME WAITS FOR NO ONE (Photo by Pastor Davis)

Let me begin this morning by asking you a question; “What are you waiting on?” The journey through this life waits for no one.  Yet you continue to procrastinate by putting off what you can do today for tomorrow, as though there is going to be a tomorrow.  For it is not promised and if you do not begin the task that has been set before you, how do you ever expect to accomplish them?

God has given each one of us a purpose in which to accomplish in this life time, and He has assigned us a specific task to carry out.  Do you know or even understand what you are assigned to do daily in this life as you work towards accomplishing what has been assigned to you?

This is the day and the moment in time for each of you to, “GET UP AND GET GOING!”  Stop wasting valuable time thinking about what you have to do, instead just “GET UP” and, “DO IT!”

In your heart of hearts you may say to yourself, know body knows the pain and frustrations I am feeling day to day.  It is easy for you to say Pastor, “GET UP AND GET GOING!”  But let me tell you, it’s easier said than done.

I say to you my friends, sometimes we’re hurting, and we feel very isolated and lonely.  Maybe there’s been a death in the family, a divorce, maybe we’ve gotten fired, and we start to think, “Nobody understands the way I feel, nobody can tell the way I feel, nobody feels the pain.”

Now know this, God knows your feelings and frustrations.  He’s seen the crisis in your soul.  There’s no hurt that goes unnoticed by God.  Psalm 56:6 says, “You know how troubled I am you have kept a recdord of my tears” (Good News)

Yes, I say to you, God knows all things; none of your troubles are above His caring and understanding.  You must learn to lean and depend upon Him.  Cast all your troubles and concerns upon His shoulders.  The Lord is like a father to his children, tender and compassionate to those who fear him.” Psalms 103:13 NLT

Monday’s Word of Encouragement (Be an Encourager)

LET OUR PRAYERS ENCOURAGE ONE ANOTHER FOR THIS WEEK

JESUS PRAYS FOR US (PHOTO BY PASTOR DAVIS)

JESUS PRAYS FOR US (PHOTO BY PASTOR DAVIS)

“BE AND ENCOURAGER”

As we begin a brand new week, walking out our purpose in this life, let us learn how to use our prayer life to ENCOURAGE one another.  “We are truly our brothers and sisters keeper; therefore, we should be about God’s business in helping one another to move forward in this life as we all grow in His grace being an ENCOURAGER!

Listen to what Paul tells us concerning this matter, he says, “Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.  (Philippians 2:4 ESV).  As we read this, let us understand that we as believers should not be completely absorbed in his or her own affairs, but should also be interested in others, nothing their good points and qualities.  A sure cure for selfish ambition is appreciative recognition of others’ good qualities and their walk with the Lord.  It is easy to get caught up in competition, aggressive acquiring and vying for our own rights and needs.  But compared to knowing Christ, those interests seem shallow.  We need Christ’s attitude of self-sacrifice to look beyond ourselves to the needs of others.

LET US PRAY:  Eternal God, our Heavenly Father, we begin a brand new week in your presents seeking your blessings over our Nation, our leaders, our families, our friends and all those that you have brought forth into our lives as a blessings to our souls and the work we do. We move forward this day and this week thanking you Heavenly Father for the abundance of your love and prosperity that is flowing into our lives to meet the needs of all our brothers and sisters.  Let not our own selfish ambitions hinder us from reaching out to help others that are in need. Help us to shift our focus and our thinking from our worldly needs to the great abundance of all spiritual truths.  Let our prayer life be the focal point of lifting each other up in such a way that you may clean us up and use each one of us for the building of your Kingdom and the eternal salvation of all your children.  In Jesus name, we pray, Amen!  Now click on this video clip and listen for the voice of God speak to you.

Monday’s Word of Encouragement (You can make it if you try)

FEAR NOT (By Pastor Davis)

FEAR NOT (By Pastor Davis)

YOU CAN MAKE IT IF YOU TRY

Trials and tribulations are truly a part of our daily lives.  How we deal with them in each moment of the day defines our strength and weakness, which helps us to overcome and continue to push forward, or knocks us down, makes us feel weak and sometimes in capable of getting up and moving forward.  The devil knows our every weakness and has no regard for our strengths.  He does not like strong soldiers on the battlefield, therefore, he will do everything in his powers to knock you out of the battle early in the fight.

But know this; “YOU CAN MAKE IT IF YOU TRY!”  The Lord has prepared you for moments such as this.  He has equipped you with all the necessary tools to fight this battle and win.  The most important thing we can encourage you to do this day as the devil throws everything in the kitchen sink at you is to: A.  Stay focus and keep your eyes of the prize, B. Be strong in your resolve, C. Be courageous in your forward movement D. Never give up and never give in, because; “YOU CAN MAKE IT IF YOU TRY!”

On this Monday Morning the Lord, your God wants you to be Encouraged in His Word, be not dismayed and Fear Not as His Words speaks volumes of truth to power in this powerful passage of scripture which says, “I pulled you in from all over the world, called you in from every dark corner of the earth, Telling you, ‘You’re my servant, serving on my side. I’ve picked you. I haven’t dropped you.’ Don’t panic. I’m with you. There’s no need to fear for I’m your God.  I’ll give you strength. I’ll help you. I’ll hold you steady, keep a firm grip on you. (Isaiah 41:10 MSG)
