Be Encouraged by the Word of God

PUT ON THE WHOLE ARMOR OF GOD

THE CROSS IS THE HEART OF GOD (PHOTO BY PASTOR DAVIS)

Good Morning to all God’s people where ever you may be, it is Monday Morning, the beginning of a brand new week.  As you leave your homes and families and begin your journey to execute the task that you have been given, we want you to be encouraged by the word of God, with His entire blessings of love, peace and power, to overcome the many trials and tribulations that will come upon you this day. “PUT ON THE WHOLE ARMOR OF GOD!”

We encourage you, in all that you may do, too know the truth, know the word and use it as your weapon to fight evil wherever it may exist.  For this is truly a brand new day that God has made for you and I to rejoice and be glad in it.  He has chosen each one of you for a very specific task this week and he has given you a purpose for carrying it out, and pointed you in the right direction that will enable you to be successful on your all important assignment.

Now finally, the people of God, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might.  Put on the whole armor of God that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.

Therefore take up the whole armor of God that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one; and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of Godpraying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication.

To that end keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints, and also for me, that words may be given to me in opening my mouth boldly to proclaim the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains, that I may declare it boldly, as I ought to speak.  (Ephesians 6:10-20 ESV)

Now have no doubts that the devil is waiting to take you down, and keep you from receiving your crown, but the choice is yours, obey the word of God and the devil can never be in charge. PUT ON THE WHOLE ARMOR OF GOD.  We bless this word to you this morning that you will receive it in the manner that it is given and share it with all those that you love as a word of encouragement and protection of their souls, in Jesus name, AMEN!

Now may the peace of the Lord rest and resize with you throughout your journey through space and time this week.  Live, love and enjoy all that has been set before you at the table of blessings, for it is truly yours given in love by the abundant hands of the one who holds all things in the palm of His ever loving hands.

MONDAY’S WORD OF ENCOURAGEMENT

I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into me; I am-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency].  (Philippians 4:13 AMP)

My dear brothers and sisters, it is my hope and prayer that the Word for this day and week has encouraged you in some small way not to allow the devil to steal your joy and keep you from reaching your destination which the Lord has determined for you.  Make this a day of sharing and caring and being kind by showing that brotherly love and affection towards one another, always with a song and a prayer in your heart.  Thank you for being a part of this ministry and sharing the word of God with those who have ears to hear and a open mind to receive.  May the Lord our God bless you abundantly this week as you walk out your purpose.

How to experience Humility as a way of Life

How to experience Humility as a way of Life

THE TOWER OF STRENGTH (PHOTO BY PASTOR DAVIS)

THE TOWER OF STRENGTH (PHOTO BY PASTOR DAVIS)

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, do you really understand who you are when you look into the mirror and see that face looking back at you?  Do you ever ask the question, Oh God, who am I?  What I want you to understand in this lesson and the many lessons we teach here is How Humility works to bring you into the knowledge and power of  just who you are, who God is, and who you are in God.  Re-read and comprehend this last statement because it holds more power than an atom bomb.

The reward for HUMILITY and fear of the LORD is RICHES and HONOR and LIFE. (Proverbs 22:4 ESV) Now I ask you, how many of you do not want to experience these blessings in your life. God is teaching us how to live as that new person in this season and experience a true abundant lifestyle, BY LEARNING HOW TO EXPERIENCE HUMILITY AS A WAY OF LIFE!

In this, we are given a choice, we can befriend God are we can befriend the world. Some of us may say that we will befriend both God and the world, but in practice, we can only choose one way. The more we give ourselves to the world, the stronger will be our allegiance to the world. The more we give ourselves to God, the stronger will be our bond with him. This is what Jesus says, “Wherever your treasure is, there your heart and thoughts will also be. (Matthew 6:21)

We have to remember, that we can find strength in the Lord, to live a humble lifestyle and receive all the lords abundant BLESSINGS. Although the world may consider us weak, when we show HUMILITY, this is because the world wants us to be filled with pride, and God sets himself against the proud, because pride makes us self-centered and leads us to conclude that we deserve all we can see, touch, or imagine. It creates greedy appetites far more than we need. Pride can subtly cause us to no longer see our sins or our need for forgiveness.

But remember this one great truth, HUMILITY opens the way for God’s grace to flow into our lives; thus, God shows favor to the HUMBLE.

Do not get so caught up in the ways of the world and the people that surrounds you, that you lose sight of who you are, who God is, who you are in God, that your heart becomes so hearten that you cannot HUMBLE yourselves in the presence of the Lord.

Understand this fact, “HUMILITY is not weakness; instead, it is the only place that believers gain courage to face all their temptations and sins with God’s strength.” As God gives us more grace, we realize that this world’s seductive attractions are only cheap substitutes for what God has to offer. It is our choice we can HUMBLE ourselves and receive God’s grace, or we can continue in our pride and self-sufficiency and experience his anger.

Now let me conclude this by leaving you with these two questions; (1). How do we, so prone to pride at the very moment when we think we might be approaching humility, discover true humility? (2). How do we become the kind of humble people who find the overflowing grace that God promises?

Well, listen to how Scripture teaches us to do it; “Let God work his will in you. Yell a loud no to the Devil and watch him scamper. Say a quiet yes to God and he’ll be there in no time. Quit dabbling in sin. Purify your inner life. Quit playing the field. Hit bottom, and cry your eyes out. The fun and games are over. Get serious, really serious. Get down on your knees before the Master; it’s the only way you’ll get on your feet.” (James 4:7-10 MSG)

May the grace of God fill your lives with His overflowing blessings, and bring you much joy and peace now and forever, in Jesus name, AMEN!

WEDNESDAY INSPIRATIONAL AND MOTIVATIONAL SERVICES 14

Good Morning My Brothers and Sisters, today we greet you in the name and love of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  For it is another day that He has blessed us to share his word with you for the uplifting and building of his kingdom.  For the old devil is moving through this land and the minds of the Children of God making every effort to tear down and destroy their lives.  But the Lord has a word for you to enable you to with stand the trials and tribulations that will come upon you this day.

Now click on the video below as Pastor Davis presents to you a word from God to encourage and strengthen you for your journey this day.

Be strong, courageous, and firm; fear not nor be in terror before them, for it is the Lord your God Who goes with you; He will not fail you or forsake you.  (Deuteronomy 31:6 AMP)

Have not I commanded you? Be strong, vigorous, and very courageous. Be not afraid, neither be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. (Joshua 1:9 AMP)

For God did not give us a spirit of timidity (of cowardice, of craven and cringing and fawning fear), but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of calm and well-balanced mind and discipline and self-control. (2 Timothy 1:7 AMP)

May the peace and blessings of the Lord be with you now and always as you walk out your purpose doing the will of the Lord in Jesus name.

LIVING FOR CHRIST TRUTH MEETS REALITY PART 4

LIVING FOR CHRIST TRUTH MEETS REALITY PART 4

YOU CAN BECOME PERFECT THROUGH SUFFERING

Know the truth and the truth will set you free

Know the truth and the truth will set you free

You therefore must be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect. (Matthew 5:48 ESV)

When truth meets reality you will become perfect, by denying self and allowing the spirit of Jesus Christ to come alive and dwell within you.  Know the truth and the truth will set you free. The time is now to be released from the chains of bondage in order that this moment will become perfect in your brand new life in Christ.  In the book of John, the bible says if you would live in me I will live in you and you will bare much fruit.  In other words, you will be changed, you will become new, having being transformed from the inside out and you are now made perfect in Jesus Christ through your suffering for his sake.

Jesus Christ was God and had equal status with God the Most High. But when he became a man, with no godly power attributes, he had to endure suffering in order to become perfect. “Heb 5:8-9 though he was a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered; And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;”

We are called to obey him by following his steps for the heavenly journey. In this we will have to endure sufferings. But through these sufferings, God will make us perfect. So, we must enter in through the tight gate to endure suffering to become perfect. If we run away from it, we cannot become perfect.

The grace of God is taught as a good gesture of God, which is given to most Christians. This grace will accept a sinning person into heaven. But in truth, grace is the power and presence of God, which is given to those who are humble. This grace will strive with them, endure sufferings and will make them perfect.

“1 Pet 5:10 But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.”

For you have been granted [the privilege] for Christ’s sake not only to believe in (adhere to, rely on, and trust in) Him, but also to suffer in His behalf. (Philippians 1:29 AMP)  But when you have obeyed him, suffered through the agony, temptations, trials and tribulations in this life on his behalf, he will strengthen you, and enable you to walk in the path way as he recreate within you a brand new spirit and make you perfect.

Now listen to what he says about you walking through the pathway of righteousness.  “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me.

Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you. (Matthew 5:11-12)

Therefore, let us understand that when TRUTH MEETS REALITY, we are justified (acquitted, declared righteous, and given a right standing with God) through faith, let us [grasp the fact that we] have [the peace of reconciliation to hold and to enjoy] peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One).

Through Him also we have [our] access (entrance, introduction) by faith into this grace (state of God’s favor) in which we [firmly and safely] stand. And let us rejoice and exult in our hope of experiencing and enjoying the glory of God.

Moreover [let us also be full of joy now!] let us exult and triumph in our troubles and rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that pressure and affliction and hardship produce patient and unswerving endurance.

And endurance (fortitude) develops maturity of character (approved faith and tried integrity). And character [of this sort] produces [the habit of] [e]joyful and confident hope of eternal salvation.

Such hope never disappoints or deludes or shames us, for God’s love has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit Who has been given to us. (Romans 5:1-5 AMP)

Now be encouraged My Brothers and Sisters and know that your living for Christ Jesus is not in vain because Truth will meet Reality when you let go of self and live in Him, live for Him and He will live in you and your results will be Perfect.

THE LIGHT OF TRUTH (PHOTO BY PASTOR DAVIS)

THE LIGHT OF TRUTH (PHOTO BY PASTOR DAVIS)

Good Morning my Brothers and Sisters, yes it is Monday and the beginning of our brand new week living and working in the physical world where we discover the many difficulties of this life when Truth meets Reality.  We encourage you to Be Strong, Be Courageous, stay focus and keep your eye on the prize of Jesus Christ.  For He never assigns you a task that he does not first empowers you with all the necessary tools to carry it out and complete it with time to spare.

He has made you perfect for this moment in time, your job is to be an obedient servant and walk out your assigned purpose doing His Will as you come face to face in the space and time where, “Truth meets Reality!”

This week we will be studying Romans 12:1-2, learning how we can live for Christ when Truth meets Reality.  The Bible tells us to know the Truth and the Truth will set us Free.  How we get to that truth will be the basics of our teaching this week.  Here is what Romans says, Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.  This is the reality of the truth we must come to know if we are to live for Christ.

Now let me share this truth with you as we begin this week in the newness of the Holy Spirit working through us.  There is but one religion, and that religion is the religion of Truth.  There is also but one error, and that error is of self.  Sometimes we allow self to get in the way of Truth.  Where self is, we will not find Truth, where Truth is self is not.  Therefore, let us discover Truth within ourselves about ourselves and move self out of the way and learn to live each day for Christ.  Jesus declared that if any man wishes to be His Disciple, he must deny himself daily.

Finally, let us learn that self is the denial of Truth.  Truth is the denial of self.  As you let self die, you will be reborn in Truth.  As you cling to self, truth will be hidden from you.  Now know this,  “LIVING FOR CHRIST TRUTH WILL MEET REALITY!

HOW YOU CAN ACHIEVE THAT PERFECT INNER PEACE

HOW YOU CAN ACHIEVE THAT PERFECT INNER PEACE

PERFECT PEACE (PHOTO BY PASTOR DAVIS)

PERFECT PEACE (PHOTO BY PASTOR DAVIS)

My dear brothers and sisters, I want you to know that you can have that perfect inner peace right this very moment.  It is yours for the asking, for the bible says, “ask and you shall receive, seek and you shall find, knock and the door shall be opened unto you.  It is there waiting for you, it lives on the inside of you.  It is only a thought away.  If you can think, believe, then you can achieve it.  It is not something in the distant future, nor something on the outside of you, nor a person, place or thing.  It is your thoughts of what you want, how you want it, when you want it and how much you desire to have it.  Stop putting off today for tomorrow. Learn to live in the moment, because it is truly the only time that you have.  For no one knows what tomorrow is going to bring.  Your INNER PEACE is right before you right now.  Grab hold of it, experience it, live it and enjoy the pleasure and peace of mind it brings you.

Now understand this one very important fact, and that is your peace of mind begins with your peace with God.  That perfect inner peace can only be sustainable when the created has made peace with its creator.  Therefore, since we have peace justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.  (Romans 5:11)

In the book of Philippians Paul speaks of a peace that’s surpasses understanding.  In the book of Galatians he lists peace as the 3rd fruit of the Spirit.  In striving for that Inner Peace, we must be true from the inside, true to ourselves, before we can know a truth that is outside of us. Because when you obtain that inner peace, you will have achieved the greatest success of all times, and it makes your world a real paradise.

And let the peace (soul harmony which comes) from Christ rule (act as umpire continually) in your hearts [deciding and settling with finality all questions that arise in your minds, in that peaceful state] to which as [members of Christ’s] one body you were also called [to live]. And be thankful (appreciative), [giving praise to God always].  (Colossians 3:15 AMP)

My brothers and sisters as I conclude this lesson, I want you to think deeply upon what is written here today.  Reflect upon the goodness and mercies of God as He provides you with His perfect peace, because nowhere else will you be able to obtain this perfect peace. No amount of money can purchase it, no amount of material possessions can provide it to you.  Only through the love of Jesus and going deep within yourself will you be able to have this perfect peace.  Jesus provides it to you this way, He says, “Peace I leave with you; my [own] peace I now give and bequeath to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. [Stop allowing yourselves to be agitated and disturbed; and do not permit yourselves to be fearful and intimidated and cowardly and unsettled.]  (John 14:27 AMP)

REMAINING CALM IN THE MIDST OF YOUR FEARS AND ANGER

REMAINING CALM IN THE MIDST OF YOUR FEARS AND ANGER

CALM (PHOTO BY PASTOR DAVIS)

CALM (PHOTO BY PASTOR DAVIS)

He who restrains his words has knowledge, and he who has a cool spirit is a man of understanding(Proverb 17:27 NASB)

My Brothers and Sisters, in today’s message we are encouraging you to overcome your fears, anger disappointments and remain calm, control your tongue and engage your mind before you engage your mouth.  For the word of the Lord teaches us how to overcome this difficult challenge in this manner, it says, “The one who knows much says little; an understanding person remains calm.”  (Proverb 17:27 MSG)

Now click on this short video clip, watch and listen carefully as Pastor Davis explains how you can be lifted up and overcome the many challenges you face today by remaining CALM.

Now let me conclude this teaching with the final word from the Lord himself, and this is what He wants you to Listen to, Understand, and become a doer of His Word.  He says this, “My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires. Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save you. Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.” (James 1:19-22 NIV)

REMEMBERING GODS EXPECTATIONS

REMEMBERING GODS EXPECTATIONS:

WRITTEN BY SHIRLEY RHODES:

Scripture is filled with reminders of consequence of disobedience, God’s blessings upon his creation and embracing the concept of discipleship.  All instructions and examples are written and explained for your own growth and direction as you seek to become diligent workers and followers of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Let us open our hearts and minds to what the Lord has to say and his great expectations. Now the Lord spoke… (Exodus 12:1); then preparations for the journey to the Promised Land commiserates, thus following consequences of disobedience.  “He, who has an ear, let him hear what the spirit says to the churches.” (Revelation 2: 7; NKLV)

Remember our history and be warned, all our ancestors were led through the wilderness under the mighty hand of God, fully protected; but, just experiencing God’s wonder and grace didn’t seem to mean much—most of them was defeated by temptation during hard times and God was not pleased. Today as Christians we must never try to get God to serve us instead of us serving him. We must be careful not to stir up discontent and strife among one another because we are just as capable of messing up as they were. Don’t be so naïve and self-confident, you’re not exempt. Just as they felled, you are subject to fall likewise, so, it behoove each of you to forget about self-confidence; it’s useless, cultivate God-confidence.

When you see people reducing God to something they can use or control, get out of their company as fast as you can. You don’t reduce Christ to what you are; he raises you to what he is. In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins according to the riches of his grace. In him we have obtained an inheritance… in him you also trusted, after you heard the truth, the gospel of your salvation… (Ephesians 1:7-14)

It is God’s expectation that we learn to live in obedience and harmony with love for one another. You are to encourage the weaker ones in the faith, for all are saved by the grace of God. Whatever your goals are, your purpose, work to perfect that which lives in you with all diligence.  For the scripture says, there are diversities of gifts, but the same Lord, and there are diversities of activities, but the same God who works all in all (1 Corinthians 12:4-6), so grow in grace, love and peace.

WEDNESDAY INSPIRATIONAL AND MOTIVATIONAL SERVICE 012 JOY

WEDNESDAY INSPIRATIONAL AND MOTIVATIONAL SERVICE 012 JOY

Greetings my Brothers and Sisters, it is with great joy and much love that I present this Wednesday’s Inspirational message to you. The subject of this message is “JOY,” it is one of the fruits of the spirit.  In our lesson yesterday, we presented you with part one of this very important message and for those of you who may have missed it just click on this link http://wp.me/pf75v-383 and it will take you there.  I encourage you to read it even if you did so it is that important.

For the word of the Lord teaches us this, “Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.” (James 1:2 ESV)

Now let me ask you this important question, and I want you to think deeply on it because it is that important.  Since love is a fruit, a product, of God’s Holy Spirit, could its companion joy be produced in us differently?

Like love, joy is not the product of the natural mind but the product of the supernatural Holy Spirit of God.  If it is not a product of the natural mind, then pursuing it apart from the guidance of the Holy Spirit will produce only very limited and pale imitations of what God experiences by nature and greatly desires to be in us.

JOY ALL THE DAYS OF YOUR LIFE

THE KEYS TO JOY IN LIFE:

WRITTEN BY SHIRLEY RHODES:

Are you fully engaged in life as you experience each day in its own and what it has to offer? Life is to be lived with meaning in which you learn to embrace what is in the moment, the present; some may say that’s easier said than done. Every day brings many challenges large and small that tend to side track the process of peace we all seek. Once you are able to open your heart to the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, you’ve discovered the key. The three keys that guarantee joy in this life; wisdom, grace and prayer, also enhances your quality of life. Before beginning to absorbed the true meaning and purpose of who you, are you must have faith, believe and confess Jesus is the Son of God.

As you strive for the prize remember the value of:

Wisdom:

The instructions of a father: My father taught me and said to me, “Let your heart retain my words, keep my commands, and live. Get wisdom and understanding, do not forget or turn away from the words of my mouth. About wisdom: do not forsake her and she will preserve you; love her, and she will keep you. Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore, get wisdom and in all your getting, get understanding.” (Proverbs 4: 1-7; NKJV) Wisdom is a virtue many seek to understand because it taps into the inner being and life experience. Throughout the process of one’s lifetime what is learned, experienced and shared touch the life of other human beings. The process is continuous because that is the plan of God and by his design.

Grace:

Grace is the free and unmerited favor of God as manifested in the salvation of sinners and the bestowal of blessings. God’s grace abounds through all avenues of your life when he favors you.  As you open the door and let him into your life the very struggles you thought would not go away suddenly become manageable, because he gives grace in times of weakness. Ask God to give you strength by his spirit that Christ will live in you as you open the door to invite him in. Become learners and doers of his word so that you will be able to experience the extravagant dimensions of the love of Jesus as you choose to follower him. As the scripture reveal, the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. (2 Corinthians 13:14).

Prayer:

Jesus was praying in a certain place when he ceased, one of his disciples said to him, “Lord, teach us how to pray…” he said to them, “When you pray, say: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us day by day our daily bread, and forgive us our sins. For we also forgive everyone who is indebted to us. And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.” (Luke 11:1-4)  Life lived without prayer is no life at all because prayer is what connects you to the source of your strength, power and joy. Prayer is a way of releasing to God cares and concerns for yourself as well as everyone else. There is a magical and mysterious connection when you learn to live in faith and rely on God to hear your prayers from the heart. He patiently waits for each of you to tap into the fountain that constantly runs freely.

Listen to me you who follow after righteousness…lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look on the earth beneath…my salvation will be forever and my righteousness will not be abolished.  (Isaiah 51: 4-6; NKJV)

Understanding the keys to joy in life brings you in line with the promises of God,  so, be content with such things as you have; for he himself has said, “I will never leave you nor  forsake you.” (Hebrews 13: 5) Remember to add wisdom, grace and prayer to your character as you seek to live out your intended purpose.

UNDERSTANDING WHOSE YOU ARE

YOU ARE A CHILD OF THE KING:

DSCF8740

WRITTEN BY SHIRLEY RHODES: This weekend brought about celebrations of fathers where many families share thoughts of love and gratitude. Now today is Monday and the start to another week. Can you say that you are eager to begin the journey into the unknown in which you embrace what has been purposed just for you? With your minds and hearts lifted in prayer and thanksgiving allow this to be a moment in time you set aside time to commune with your Holy Farther, the one who will sustain and meet every one of your needs. You must be a diligent seeker of peace found in the Lord.

When you came to the knowledge that you awoke this morning and has been given strength to move forth, be thankful. Remember your creator, giver of life. For the scriptures reminds you this way, O Lord you are our Father, we are the clay and you are the potter, we all are the work of your hand (Isaiah 64: 8; NKJV). Meditate on these words, allow them to mold and shape your attitude throughout the day when face with adversity, challenges, decisions and choices; most of all remember, YOU ARE A CHILD OF THE KING, he will abide in you as long as you are faithful and centered in him.

For you formed my inward parts, covered me in my mothers’ womb…I am fearfully and wonderfully made…my frame was not hidden from you when I was made in secret…your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed; in your book they all were written, the days fashioned for me when as yet there were none of them (Psalm 139: 13-16). What other evidence do you need to know how truly blessed you were to open your eyes this morning to begin this journey in time.

The Lord knows everything about you, when you’re sitting down and when you’re rising up. He knows your thought and motives, good or bad. Nothing is hidden in secret that has not already been planned. So, today, live life in joy and peace, he will be your voice when you find it hard to respond in situations and circumstances that threatened to interrupt your flow in the moment. Say to yourself, I will praise God and I will worship in his presence at all times; because YOU ARE A CHILD OF THE KING, embrace the moment.

THERE IS REST FOR THE PEOPLE OF GOD

GOD PROMISED REST FOR HIS PEOPLE:

SHIRLEY RHODES:

There remains therefore a rest for the people of God; for he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased from his works as God did from his. (Hebrew 4: 9-10)

As you read and study the Word of God you see the word rest in the beginning of creation: the heavens and the earth and all the host of them were finished on the seventh day, God ended his work which he had done and he rested on the seventh day…then he blessed the seventh day and sanctified it because in it he rested from all his work… (Genesis 2:2-3; NKJV).

For as long, then, as the promise of resting in him pulls us on to God’s goal for us, we need to be careful that we’re not disqualified. If we believe in faith we will experience that state of rest that God has prepared and promised his people.  Setting aside the things of this world that requires so much of your attention requires a process; refresh, reflect and release.

Refresh simply means setting aside time each day to commune spiritually while centered and focused on the plan and purpose that lives within you. Take time to meditate, pray, and listen to what the spirit has to say. While refreshing yourself; your thoughts and actions, are they beneficial to your growth? Are you able to understand the growth process according to your goals in life?

Reflect on the good life, that includes your loved ones, community, those known and unknown throughout the world. We are all on a journey that will leave many footprints in time and through the process it is well that the memories you acquire will always be those you chose to reflect upon from time to time.

Release brings you to a place in which you no longer desire to hold on to negative thoughts, influences and people who hinder your blessings. You are not in control of actions that God has not allowed; therefore, by holding on to the very thing you need to release, you create havoc and misery in your own life, so, Release! Scripture reminds you this way; stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free (Galatians 5:1).

While he lived on earth, anticipating death, Jesus cried out in pain and wept in sorrow for you and me  to assure each of us that there remains rest for the people of God.

TODAY IS A GIFT

TODAY IS A GIFT BUT YOU MUST STAY IN THE RACE:

WRITTEN BY SHIRLEY RHODES:

Scripture reminds you that, the power of God…has saved us and called us with a holy calling, but not according to his own purpose and grace…revealed by the appearing of our Savior Jesus Christ who abolished death and brought life and immorality to light through the gospel…(2 Timothy 1: 9-10; NKLV). You must therefore endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ (2 Timothy 2:3).

We all begin each day in search of something because we have hopes and dreams; when we place all of our cares in the master’s hands we will be able to accomplish what is purposed. From the God who cares more than you can even begin to imagine, today is your gift, yesterday is past, tomorrow is a hope, but the moment you’re experiencing now is yours.

Sharing encouragement, spreading laughter and joy nourishes your own spirit and what you release to the universe comes back to you.

For this day, this moment in time, allow it to be well spent in acts of gratitude and thanksgiving because it is a gift.

As you journey, remember that the day is filled with possibilities, take time to explore those areas of life that encourages growth, strength, and courage, determined to fight the good fight of a soldier well trained in godly living and principles that are sure to bring you in line with all possibilities. TODAY IS A GIFT BUT YOU MUST STAY IN THE RACE!

GOD IS IN CONTROL

INNER ASSURANCE IS STRENGTH BUILDING:

WRITTEN BY SHIRLEY RHODES:

My friends know this one thing and have confidence that, God is in control and what he has set forth in your life no one can dismantle no matter how hard they may try. So nurture your inner spirit through calmness and being mindful. It is inner assurance that keeps you…holds you together when…and brings completion where complexities of life seem overwhelming.

God’s everlasting grace (favor) toward you is a gift of love and admiration for what he has created for his purpose. You are here to produce and show gratitude for that show of love because he cares about everything that connects you to him. Aim for perfection in bringing about unity within your family, community and the world. God’s light shine bright within you to display the inner beauty he has instilled from your beginning.

Darkness looms in the corridor of your soul waiting for the one opportunity to discover your weakest point. When you take your eye off God, you are subject to fall. Remember Peters’ walk on the water; be reminded of what happened when he took his eyes off Jesus. When Peter grew afraid and lost focus, he cried out “Master save me!” Jesus didn’t hesitate, he reached down and grabbed his hand and said, “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?” (Matthew 14:26-31) He patiently waits and encourages your heart as well.

For scripture reminds you of the plan of Satan, his intended purpose…therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time…be sober, be vigilant because your adversary the devil walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5: 6-8; NKJV).

INNER ASSURANCE IS STRENGHT BUILDING; so, when life seems to bring chaos and confusion look to Jesus who is waiting to gently guide you through your purpose and to your planned destination. Grace and Peace!

MEMORIAL DAY A TIME FOR THANKSGIVING

MEMORIAL DAY IN HONOR OF THOSE WHO SACRIFICED:

WRITTEN BY SHIRLEY RHODES:

“To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven.” (Ecclesiastes 3:1; NKJV) A time of war and a time of peace (verse 8).

In remembrance of our arm forces, today is set aside to say we appreciate how you give of yourself unselfishly in your efforts to secure freedom and peace around the world. You accept your calling with dignity, courage and strength and move without hesitation when called. It is with utmost respect we say thank-you. We say thank you to your spouses, families and communities for sharing your gifts and talents in time of war and peace.

So we offer this prayer:

Most Holy and all wise God, we approach your throne (presence) with thanksgiving on the tip of our tongue and praise in our hearts. We know that war shatters many lives as our soldiers go into battle. We thank you for giving them courage and respect for the career which they have chosen in the name of freedom. Father we know that there are many battle scares to be dealt with, we ask that you touch each and every-one of them in a special way so that they’re able to live whole and productive lives. Give families strength and a sense of duty in time of need and encouragement. We pray that those whom have given their lives for the cause of freedom will always be remembered in the hearts and minds of our people.  This day set aside to pay respect is an honor and our way of saying thank you for the freedom we have because of so many sacrifices.

Amen, Amen.

As families gather, parades represent is grand stand, and the American Flag waves freely, let us lift up our eyes toward glory and thank God for being free. We are most thankful for all who have freely given of themselves with hearts of courage and sacrifice. Thank all of you for a job well done, and GOD BLESS AMERICA!DSCF8463
