I am reminded of your sincere faith, a faith that dwelt first in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice and now, I am sure, dwells in you as well. 6 For this reason, I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands, 7 for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control. (2 Timothy 1:5-7 ESV)
Some of our greatest life challenges revolve around how well we can manage and overcome our fears.
Overcoming fear is without a doubt the number one barrier on any humans journey to success.
Fear of failure, fear of rejection, even fear of the possible consequences of success, they are all barriers standing in the way of our dreams and goals.
As we study this lesson today, let us be reminded through the Word of God how the Holy Spirit works in us, strengthen us and providing us with power to face the trials of another day. We do not need to have naturally powerful personalities. God, who gives us the strength of character and confidence that wins us respect when we face opposition as we speak, preach, and live the truth. God supernaturally replaces any timidity on the servant’s part with boldness. Such power is difficult to discredit.
Now let us go to the Word and get the rest of the story…
LET US PRAY:
Now may the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all, now and forever, in Jesus name, Amen!
