Light is essential to Eternal Life
We observe the sun it’s reflection during the day, the moon it’s reflection at night, and God’s light which brightens the entire universe. “Your light shall break forth in the morning…glory of the Lord shall be your rear guard. Then you shall call, and the Lord will answer; …cry and he will say, “Here I am” (Isaiah 58: 8-9). In order to advance into the presence of the “Most Holy” we must follow the light of life, not the worlds’ light. When we enter “His Presence” with humbleness and submission of spirit and attitude, we are then able to ponder within ourselves this question; HOW ESSENTIAL IS LIGHT TO ETERNAL LIFE?
“Oh Lord my God, you are very great; you are clothed with honor and majesty…who cover yourself with a garment…; who walks on the wings of the wind; …man goes out to his work and to labor until the evening; …all wait for you, that you may give them their food in due season; what you give them they gather in…they are filled with good…hide your face they are troubled… send forth your Spirit and they are created…you renew the face of the earth. May the glory of the Lord endure forever…” (Psalm: 104:1-3; 23-31;NKJV).
Jesus says, “You are the light of the world…so let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven” (Matthew 5:14). The good works you do help you to move forward in a way that’s pleasing and acceptable to God, nothing you do goes unnoticed. “You are here to be light…God is not a secret to be kept—SHINE ; …be generous with your lives, by opening up to others you’ll prompt people to open up with God…” (Matthew 5:14-15; MGS). Your mission is life lived and shared with each other, encouraging, teaching and building souls for the kingdom; asking yourself; HOW ESSENTIAL IS LIGHT TO ETERNAL LIFE?
“…I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts; he who overcomes shall inherit all things,” and I will be his God and he shall be my son (Revelation 21:6-7; NKJV). The only man I know who is attracted to carrying others’ pain is Jesus. He endured hostility, anger, beatings, disputing and even ridicule, yet never wavering from his purpose, his mission of kingdom building for all eternity. He was obedient to death, a light that could not be snuffed out. The time is now for each of us to examine our walk in this course of life and ask the question, HOW ESSENTIAL IS LIGHT TO ETERNAL LIFE?tweet
