How to allow old man patience to have his way with you

Many times in our lives, we come face to face with many difficult situations. We stand at the crossroads of life wondering which direction we should take. At this junction, the crossroads offers us an opportunity, to make a life changing decision that could affect the rest of our lives.

Once again, we ask ourselves, which direction should we take? Our thoughts begin to take us on the journey that we initially set out to experience. As our minds begin to roam in the great distance, our patience begins to grow thin. We question ourselves again and again, and then ask, why have we been led to this point? Our not knowing sometimes brings fear, and fear fills us with anxieties, that hinder our perspective in knowing that God has our backs and led us to this crossroads in order to teach us the patience we need to carry us through to our destination.  At this point, we need patience to develop within us.

Developing patience first starts within our minds, our thoughts, and our thoughts become things. You must now intentionally commit to observing delayed gratification for a better end.

Patience is having the ability to delay immediate gratification for a greater good. Developing patience also means bettering your character. In addition, your patience allows you to assess a situation with greater clarity yielding to the best possible outcome.  It can allow you to see the completion of a thing or the completeness of it. It is a position of wisdom to have great patience in all matters.

Now listen carefully to how the word of God begins to teach us how to develop the necessary patience’s that will take us to our destination:

Developing Patience means entering through faith into what God has always wanted to do for us—set us right with him, make us fit for him—we have it all together with God because of our Master Jesus. And that’s not all: We throw open our doors to God and discover at the same moment that he has already thrown open his door to us. We find ourselves standing where we always hoped we might stand—out in the wide open spaces of God’s grace and glory, standing tall and shouting our praise.

There’s more to come: We continue to shout our praise even when we’re hemmed in with troubles, because we know how troubles can develop passionate patience in us, and how that patience in turn forges the tempered steel of virtue, keeping us alert for whatever God will do next. In alert expectancy such as this, we’re never left feeling shortchanged. Quite the contrary—we can’t round up enough containers to hold everything God generously pours into our lives through the Holy Spirit! (Romans 5:1-5 MSG.)

Finally My Friends, Patience is also the state of endurance under difficult circumstances, which can mean persevering in the face of delay or pro-vocation without acting on annoyance anger in a negative way; or exhibited in forbearance when under strain, especially when faced with longer term difficulties. Patience is a level of endurance so one’s character can take before negativity. It is also used to refer to the character trait of being in steadfast.”

Now through all your many trials and tribulations, I encourage you to begin learning this very important art of developing Patience within your Spiritual Mind. Let God have His way with you, and stop rushing ahead of God.  When you do this, you will soon discover Old Man Patience working and slowly but surely turning your life around.  Stop being impatience and Old Man Patience will show up in just the right moment in time.  We pray daily for you in the name of Jesus, AMEN!

  1. I am at several crossroads, and am keeping the patience in God. I’ve been meditating daily on Psalm 91 and can do nothing but give Him praise for He is indeed awesome and my only dwelling. Pray for me,my family, church, and friends!

My friend consider it a done deal, for this is truly my daily assignment, one that I take very serious for the Lord as ordained me to do so. In the meantime just continue to meditate on the word for it will strengthen you and comfort you and the Holy Spirit will come to you and guide you in the way the Lord wants you to go. Also read and study Psalms 27 and it will also help you to do what the Lord has asked you to do and that is wait upon the Lord. He calming your mind, relieving your fears and providing you with patience to run the race that has been set before you. Now do have a blessed and prosperous day as you begin your walk leaning and depending on Him who can do all things but fail. Let me leave you with one more scripture, go to Isaiah 41:10, read it study it and memorize it, for it is truly a calming passage of scripture in times like this. Stay in touch my friend for the Lord is working is working it all out for you right now…

  2. Ha ha ha! For my case is the other way round. People can not stand me for being slow.

My friend never fear nor fret over what others have to say, remember the Bible says in Psalms 27, wait on the Lord, and in Ecclesiastes 9:11 it tells us this: ‘Again I saw that under the sun the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, nor bread to the wise, nor riches to the intelligent, nor favor to those with knowledge, but time and chance happen to them all.” Be blessed my friend and have an awesome day…

Thank you my friend for connecting with us and sharing this word with all your followers. May the Lord bless you abundantly as you walk into your divine destiny…
