CHILDREN OF GOD, let us begin today’s service by uniting our minds together as one in the Body of Christ, as we pray for PEACE to break out all over the world. Let us pray for one another as we lay aside our difference and allow our light to shine so that others will see the love of God shinning forth from deep inside our hearts.
LET THERE BE PEACE ON EARTH AND LET IT BEGIN WITH ME! The question we should ask ourselves is this, “Is peace possible (personal or worldwide)?” Now I ask you to take a moment and examine that question or thought and consider this; that in order to live in a world where peace exists we have to get it right or else there will be no peace.
Now as you think deeply on this very important question, remember the season that we are living in and know that Jesus is the reason for the season. Click on this video clip and allow the calmness of the moment to come over you, then complete the reading of this important lesson.
Jesus came and preached peace to those who had never heard of God and to those who had heard of him, so we all stand the same ground, and share in an offer of hope and promise. For he is our peace (Ephesians 2:14 KJV); The Lord will give strength to his people; and will bless his people with peace (Psalm 29:11). Christ brought us together through his death on the cross; through him we share the same Spirit and have equal access to the Father. We all belong here, we are part of Gods’ plan, and it is through him we find peace by surrendering our lives to his will and being obedient to his call. We are able to reach others when we allow our lives to demonstrate working of the Holy Spirit within and around us as we share the gift of love.
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder; and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, and The Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end (Isaiah 9:6-7 KJV). With our mind set on pleasing God, (total surrender), peace will come.
Scripture reminds us that: He will keep us in perfect peace when our mind is centered on him and we put all our trust in him. So we must learn to trust In the Lord forever; for the Lord JEHOVAH is everlasting strength (Isaiah 26: 3-4). Paul reminds us to: Be strong in the Lord, take everything the Master has set out for you, well-made weapons of the best materials. Put them to use so you will be able to stand up to every-thing the Devil throws your way.
Be prepared; truth, righteousness, peace, faith, and salvation are more than words, learn how to apply them, pray hard and long, pray for each other and keep your eyes open. (Ephesians 6: 10-18 MGS).
So in the midst this holiday season let us remain focused in all we do and think while remembering to keep Jesus at the center of our activities. Praise the Lord our God and worship at his footstool for he is holy. Praise the Lord our God, and worship at his holy hill; for the Lord our God is holy.
Let this be a time of celebration so much that people every-where will honor our Savior with thanksgiving and praise. May our hearts be at peace, and let us remember to take a moment out of our day and pray for peace around the world, remembering that there is power in prayer. Jesus is our open door for the peace we seek.
Lift up your eyes toward heaven and thank God for his Son; let this be a time of sharing and giving love to others out of the depth of our hearts, love that is genuine. May peace be yours!
NOW LET THERE BE PEACE ON EARTH, GOOD WILL TOWARDS ALL MEN, AND LET IT BEGIN WITH ME! In Jesus name we pray, AMEN!
