Greetings my brothers and sisters, just a few short weeks ago we celebrated Mother’s Day. Now the day has arrived in which we have the opportunity to lift up all the fathers of the world, honor them and celebrate them for taking their rightful place in the family and being real fathers. We realize that there has been a break down in the family because too many fathers have neglected their responsibilities as a father, but for those who have carried on as fathers and leaders of their individual families we salute you and honor you, for this is what the Lord has called us to do because He has chosen you out of the world as His special servants and empowered you with his Holy power to be fathers to His Children.

Fathers of the World, we here at Vine and Branch World Ministries, wish each of you a Happy, Happy and joyful father’s day.  Now celebrate and enjoy what God has blessed you to be, a real father to all of His Children.

COMMENTARY BY PASTOR DAVIS A PICTURE OF THE AMERICAN FATHER

The most important cause of divorce in America is the lack of proper, godly leadership by the father and husband. It is also the most frequent cause of children’s feelings of rejection, behavioral problems, and anxieties.  Ephesians 6:1-4. Notice in verse 4, “And ye fathers provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.” The word “wrath” means a strong desire to avenge. How does a father provoke a child to wrath? By not bringing them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord; Nurture means training with structure. Most fathers have no desire for the Word of God and they are raising angry vengeful children because they are not committed to training their children in spiritual principles as God commands. Of course, they cannot train the child if they are ignorant of God’s principles themselves. That is a picture of the American father.

OUR SONG OF PRAISE:

LET ME!

Let me be the father that God created me to be

Let me increase in wisdom, knowledge and understanding

Let me lead guide, teach and equip my children to be godly children

Let me be the head and not the tail

Let me provoke not my children to wrath

Let me be the godly father that provides tender love and compassion for my children

Let me be the father that brings his children up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord

Let me not raise angry vengeful children

Let me be the leader for my children training them in spiritual principles as God has commanded

OUR MAXIMIZED PRAYER OF THANKSGIVING

Father in the name of Jesus we thank you for teaching us how to be spiritual fathers and follow in the footsteps of your son Jesus, teaching our own children the spiritual principals that Jesus set down for us as he followed you in every way.  On this father’s day we lift you up in high honor and praise before our children and the world as a loving father who loves all his children unconditionally.  Thank you for birthing all the godly fathers of the world who have chosen to follow you and be obedient fathers not just to their own children but to all children showing love, kindness, compassion, respect and real leadership as fathers who care about their families and being good stewards over what you have placed in their hands.  In Jesus name we pray, Amen!

PORTRAIT OF A FATHER

Today’s FATHER displays a sense of humor and honesty. They are diligently seeking how to be better at their assignment as a Father.  As fathers’ they should strive to build and maintain strong bonds with those entrusted to their care. THE PORTRAIT OF A FATHER should be seen as one of showing honor, humor, honesty, caring, courage, character, grace, guidance while setting boundaries for appropriate behavior within the family. He should be one whom children look-up to as a role model as he follow the rule to love every-one.  Now let us watch together this short video clip of Pastor Davis, Portrait of a Father:

TODAY’S ALTER CALL:

If you are a person studying this lesson with us today and have not received the saving grace of the Lord and would like to join the Lord’s family of BELIEVERS and receive ETERNAL LIFE, we simply ask you to, “BELIEVE!”

Now repeat this short prayer with me:  “Lord I am a sinner, I have sinned against you, I BELIEVE that Jesus died for my sins, and on the third day you raised him from the grave and today He lives.  I ask you to forgive me of my sins, and come into my heart and cleanse me of my sins.  If you have prayed this prayer with me, you now are saved and have ETERNAL LIFE  in glory.”

We encourage you to find a local Bible Teaching Church and begin to study and fellowship with other believers.  You can also return back here daily and study God’s word with us.  We share the truth of the scriptures daily, and you will find over 1000 topics for study and discussions.  May the saving grace of our Lord and Savior be with you now and forever, in Jesus name, AMEN!

  1. I wish more fathers encompassed the meaning of the word father as your father has Pastor. More and more do not get it. They fo not take their tole seriously and children all across the nation are paying the price. It is true that the breakdown of the American family has much to do with this great and tragic truth.
Your father looks like a wonderful example of what God intended fathers to be.
Thank you for a wonderful lesson today and for sharing your Dad with us.
    Bless you richly.

    • PASTOR DAVIS/MASTER TEACHER

My Friend Kate and sister in Christ Jesus, I thank you for those powerful and inspiring words. They humble my heart and filled me with much love and joy, because I know they came from your heart. My father is 96 years young and He is the man you saw in that video today. Still strong, healthy with a solid mind and a heart filled with nothing but pure love. He is my hero and the man that I have always looked up to, admired, respected and the one that gives me advise on life and living even to this very day. To know him is to love him. He is rocked solid, a pillow of the community and the oldest living citizen in the community today. He is my dad and I love him so very, very much. Thank you for seeing this beauty. I apologize for not getting back with you sooner, but I have been traveling for the past week and just today took a few moments away from that travel time to catch up on some of my duties and responsibilities here at this ministry. I pray you had a wonderful fathers’ day with your husband and loving children. May God continue to bless you abundantly as you walk out your purpose doing the will of the Lord.
