RELYING ON GOD FOR ALL YOUR NEEDS:
WRITTEN BY SHIRLEY RHODES:
Life starts from some point and when you allow your soul to awaken to the living God you can breathe and taste true reality. Every human being comes forth with purpose and promise, which is the ability to envision goals and dreams. In order to live out your created purpose, you must be sure you’re building on a solid foundation. For the scriptures reminds you this way, for no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ…if anyone’s work which he has built on it endures, he will receive a reward (1 Corinthians 3:11-14; NKJV).
Positive qualities in your life are there for a reason, to enhance growth. Before you can even begin to build on your foundation, you must seek God’s guidance over your life and change those qualities that are not pleasing in his sight. For the scriptures says, therefore, putting away lying, let each one of you speak truth with his neighbor, for we are members of one another (Ephesians 4:25).
A heart of forgiveness opens the door to understanding because your thoughts are not “bogged” down by hostility, anger, jealously, mistrust, envy and all other negative emotions. Remember, Jesus was and remains an advocate for love, because he lives you share the same ability. Therefore be imitators of God…walk in love as Christ also has loved us and given himself for us… (Ephesians 5:1).
Pray that your soul (mind, memory and affection) will remain at a healthy place so that your communication with the Father will not be hindered. If you’re seeking worldly wisdom and understanding your foundation may be a bit “shaky.” God will keep you in perfect peace when your mind is centered on him; therefore, while you’re searching and looking for meaning in life, look to Jesus the author and finisher of your faith. Study for understanding, knowledge and wisdom, and then learn the key to building on a solid foundation, because the answer can be found in God’s Word.
