ALLOW THE HOLY SPIRIT TO BE YOUR GUIDE:
BEGINNING YOUR WEEK SHADOWED BY GOD:
WRITTEN BY SHIRLEY RHODES:
Following instructions may seem difficult for some of you; why not take a moment to still your wondering mind and heart long enough to listen to the silence within if you’re expecting a breakthrough? It is through obedience you must prepare for what God has purposed in your heart, otherwise achieving your desired goal on your own can prove to be one big disaster after another. Obedience through faith brings your spirit in line with God, for the scripture says, “If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land” (Isaiah: 1:19; NKJV).
In life you sometimes have to make choices and decisions that you’re not fully convinced that what you are doing or about to do is right. Well, you are encouraged to step out on faith; “now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen” (Hebrews: 11:1). Faith: “the fundamental fact of existence is that this trust in God, this faith, is the firm foundation under everything that makes life worth living. It’s our handle on what we can’t see.” (Hebrews: 11:1 MGS) You were design in the mind of God long before you took your first breath, so everything connected to you comes from the source.
Today is the beginning of a new work week and many of you are contemplating decisions and choices that must be made or dealt with. Do not embark upon your journey with dread because your trust in God will see you through even the most difficult aspects if you are willing and obedient. Satan has made his assignment, and that is to counteract whatever God has set forth; remember this one thing, don’t be afraid, you belong to God, according to scripture, “delight yourself also in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart” (Psalm: 37:4). Allow the Holy Spirit to intervene in all things, keeping open your mind and heart, expecting to be blessed at all times, even though the mountains may seem high and the valleys low, God is able.
Allow your communication to be filled with joy, love and peace, “Praise the LORD! Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for he is good! For his mercy endures forever” (Psalm: 106:1).
