TO EVERYTHING THERE IS A SEASON:
WRITTEN BY SHIRLEY RHODES:
To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under the heaven (Ecclesiastes 3:1; NKJV). Everything around you is in a constant state of change, even you yourself. It’s not so much about how things change as it is about how you prepare for change. As winter transitions into spring, reflect on what you have done in preparing your spiritual mind for growth and change with warmer days ahead.
Embracing growth that is about to take place is truly an exciting time. All that’s been dominant is now experiencing rejuvenation, preparing and waiting for the right moment in time to come alive, burst forth to the glory of God. Jesus explains it this way, “Most assuredly I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies it produces much grain.” (John 12:24)
The time has come that you must shed some things before you can experience growth, renewal, and rejuvenation. Before you can really come alive you have to die to self and embrace the teachings of the Master Jesus who will open your understanding. Most of all think on the words of wisdom and encouragement you’ve encountered along the way and apply them to this growth period in your life.
Therefore as the scripture reminds us, “Let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not loose heart.”(Galatians: 6:9; NKJV)
Embrace growth and live life in expectancy because God is going to bless you abundantly this season.
