WRITTEN BY SHIRLEY RHODES:

ARE YOU EQUIPPED FOR THE JOURNEY? How do you prepare for today, tomorrow or even the future if there is no plan, goal or action? From the very beginning, you know that following Christ brings you into the fullness of all that life has to offer that is, if you have seized the opportunity to embrace the beauty of his Holiness as it shadows over your very existence. God has purposed and chosen each of us for a reason, one that requires “full attention” in order to grow beyond the simplicity of this earthly existence. His grace aligns each of us according to his will; we are free to assume possession of the inherited promise, life eternal.

There are key elements revealed in scripture to guide our steps through reconciliation and aligning with the promise of God. “Having been justified by faith we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have access by faith into his grace in which we stand and rejoice in hope…we glory in tribulation knowing…tribulation produces perseverance; perseverance character and character hope (Romans 5:1-5; NKJV).
ARE YOU EQUIPPED FOR THE JOURNEY?

Faith comes by hearing the word of God (Romans 10:17), in order to hear the spoken word we must become diligent seekers of knowledge and understanding which guides us toward all truth. Many biblical teachers and prophets have shared history, facts and revelation to help open our minds and hearts to what God has purposed for his children. Faith is the key to unlocking many mysteries of the gospel of Jesus Christ, that’s how he designed it to be.

Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who come to him must believe that he exist and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him (Hebrew 11:1-6 NIV). So, keep a firm grip on faith, your hearts at attention, in adoration before Christ who is your Master. Above all, keep a clear conscience before God because it is the Father’s touch that sets you free and make you strong.

Peace: “My people will dwell in a peaceful habitation, in secure dwellings, and in quiet resting places (Isaiah 32:18).” Whatever God promise, he’ll deliver at the time appointed. He keeps our hearts and wondering minds in that peace, we only have to trust and obey, follow the pattern. To understand that no matter the struggle, God will remain in control is where we should center our thoughts at all times; remember, he keeps us in perfect peace and that is far different from what the world has to offer.

Grace: what is it, how would you describe it, and what do you know about it, are you even aware of it? Gods’ wonderful grace—free to all who diligently seek to know him. John spoke of him as the true light, which gives light to every man coming into the world the right to become children of God that believe in his name (John 1: 9-13; NKJV).

Hope: “Hope does not disappoint because the Love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us,” as promised. Since Jesus went through everything you’re going through and more learn to think like him (1Peter:3:1).

So friends be content with who you are…God’s strong hand is on you; he will promote you at the right time. Live carefree before God, he is most careful for you (1Peter:5:6-7). ARE YOU EQUIPPED FOR THE JOURNEY? You are the only one that can answer that question honestly.

May peace and love be multiplied to you (Jude: 1:2) as you get EQUIPPED FOR THE JOURNEY.
