BATTLE READY REQUIRES A PRAYER LIFE if you are going to stay in the race of life; remember this one thing, and allow it be the center of your thought process; “The race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong; nor riches to men of understanding; nor favor to men of skill, but time and chance happen to them all” (Ecclesiastes 9:11). In order to get to your destination you must learn to pray and to do so you must prepare your mind, heart and spirit by being watchful, determined or persistent, knowledgeable and obedient.

When the Israelites were led in the wilderness by Moses through divine intervention, they often lost hope and didn’t seek God in prayer because they only focused on what they could see and touch, things tangible. Even as they came to the threshold of receiving their greatest blessing, “a land of milk and honey” they doubted. Finally the Lord said to Moses, after noticing ungrateful hearts, spirits and attitude, “How long will these people reject me? And how long will they not believe me, with all the signs performed among them?” (Numbers 14:11; NKJV) As a reminder, think of your own spirit and heart of gratitude, never take for-granted what God allows into your space, remember that being BATTLE READY REQUIRES A PRAYER LIFE.

When you decide that it’s time to take control of the life God created and gave to you, make the choice at that very moment to keep prayer as the center piece. Allow time to study, get in the Word, for you are reminded through reading scripture that you must put on the garments for war-fare if you are going to win the battle for your soul. Where-ever you go, what-ever you do understand that this world is filled with distractions; but, when you are committed to living out your purpose always remember that in order to stay in the race you must prepare. Prayer anchors you on a solid foundation and it’s important to understand the true meaning of why being BATTLE READY REQUIRES A PRAYER LIFE, you cannot get very far detached from the source.

So be diligent in prayer for all things, lift up your head and search the heavens because every step you take is carefully arranged and observed by God, your giver of life. As the psalmist says, “I will lift up my eyes to the hills…my help comes from the Lord who made heaven and earth.” (Psalm 121:1-2; NKJV)

My friend, live in expectancy of the flow of all God’s blessings, while remembering, BATTLE READY REQUIRES A PRAYER LIFE.
