LOOK TO HIM WHO IS ABLE TO BUILD YOU UP:
WRITTEN BY SHIRLEY RHODES:
LOOK TO HIM WHO IS ABLE TO BUILD YOU UP THROUGH JUSTIFICATION:
God thought of you and gave you his breath of life; therefore, you are of significant value to him as you live out your created purpose. When faced with obstacles of life be reminded that no struggle is so great that God will not make a way for you to escape. You are too important to the purposes of God to allow circumstances to destroy who you are, situations experienced in the natural only come about to build your character and direct you to the next level of existence, “the race, the race, set before you.” The scriptures says, “…seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above, not on things on earth” (Colossians: 3: 1-2; NKJV). Your justification is granted through your relationship with Christ in which you are striving to live out your eternal purpose.
LOOK TO HIM WHO IS ABLE TO BUILD YOU UP in HOPE:
Your hope should be built on nothing more than the “love” God has given through the sacrifice of his Son. What has transpired through the events of time is what build your life and encourage your spirit when storms of life begin to rage to the point you become confused or unsure. Lift up your eyes and center your thoughts on where it is God is challenging you to venture. There is far greater joy in knowing that where-ever your journey is destined to take you than struggling with darkness and doubt that this life has a tendency to place before you. Be persistent, allowing none of the stumbling blocks placed in front of you to derail you from your course. Remember the words of Jesus when Satan made an attempt to derail his purpose; Jesus said, “Get behind me, Satan, for it is written, ‘you shall worship the Lord your God, and him only you shall serve.’ ” (Luke 4:8; NKJV)
LOOK TO HIM WHO IS ABLE TO BUILD YOU UP and bring about Reconciliation:
It is the plan of God to reconnect to his creation and that include you. What he has done for you and me is that he gave his only begotten Son for that very reason. Focused on your purpose in life helps you to travel the path set before you even though it may include many set-backs. If and when you experience setbacks or uncertainty of where it is you are headed, rest assured God has a plan for your life, his only requirement is that you learn to trust him in all things.
God clearly tells us in his word, “I don’t think the way you think; the way you work isn’t the way I work…my word that goes forth out of my mouth shall not return to me empty-handed. They will do the work I sent them to do; they’ll complete the assignment I gave them.” (Isaiah 55:8-11; MGS). Jesus says, “I am the Road, also the Truth; also the Life. No one comes to the Father apart from me. I am the Vine, you are the branches. When you are joined with me and I with you…the harvest is sure to be abundant (John 14:6-7; 15: 5-8). Remember the root command, Love one another” (verse 17). Reconciliation brings each true believer in line with God’s plan and purpose.
LOOK TO HIM WHO IS ABLE TO BUILD YOU UP in perfect Peace:
God will keep you in perfect peace when your thoughts are centered on what it is he has created and purposed for your life. We are all different in how we use what has been prepared for this journey in life; therefore, you are unique, because you are someone of significant value to the process.”…we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have access into grace in which we stand and rejoice in hope of the glory of God” (Romans 5:1-4).
When life tosses you a “raw deal,” understand that it is a part of molding and shaping your character for kingdom building. The scripture puts it this way, “We glory in tribulations, knowing, that tribulation produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character hope…these does not disappoint because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given for us” (Romans 5:1-5).
Jesus said, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you.”(John 14:27)
