PRAISE DIRECTED TO THE LORD:
WRITTEN BY SHIRLEY RHODES:
WHEN YOUR PRAISE IS DIRECTED TO THE LORD, you will find joy, contentment and peace. Jesus assures us that he will never leave nor forsake us, it is therefore most urgent that we learn to trust his will for our life. Amidst the uncertainty of the path we often travel from day to day, know that your steps are ordered by the Lord as scripture reminds us, “no weapon formed against you shall prosper” (Isaiah 54:17 NKJV). Peaceful assurance knows that God is always there in time of need; therefore, our praise is and shall always be directed to him, for he is worthy.
As Paul shared these words for growth and encouragement, “…be steadfast and immoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain…” (1 Corinthians 15:58). Always keep focused on why and where you are purposed to journey and the final goal; say to yourself, WHEN MY PRAISE IS DIRECTED TO YOU LORD, I’m empowered with joy, strength and peace.
When you’re focused on what is most important develop a habit of patience, shed those things (thoughts, ways and attitudes) that tend to weigh you down. Cast all your cares on the one who truly care for you, for scripture reminds us that we must “Trust in the Lord with all our heart, and lean not to our own understanding; …acknowledge him, and he shall direct our paths (Proverbs 3:5-6). Most Holy One, MY PRAISE IS DIRECTED TO YOU, you are the magnifier of my soul.
When we can look back at where God has brought us from, we must be careful not to revert back to the past. We must lift our heads; open our eyes and heart, thanking God for the struggles as well as blessings. No matter the circumstance, be joyful, be content, lift your voice and shout “LORD, MY PRAISE IS DIRECTED TO YOU. The journey may at times seem long and difficult, CELEBRATE ANY-WAY.
“THE ENEMY CANNOT TAKE AWAY YOUR POWER TO BE FREE, NOR YOUR WISDOM AND UNDERSTANDING UNLESS YOU RELEASE THAT CONTROL TO HIM. LORD OUR PRAISE IS DIRECTED TO YOU.”
