BELIEVE IN GOD’S SON BY
WORKING AT PERFECTING YOUR PRAYER LIFE:
WRITTEN BY SHIRLEY RHODES:
When we’ve decided that we’re making little progress trying to solve our problems and nothing seems to be working, we can try Jesus. Our prayer life should cause us to focus on a “conversation” with the one who supply all our needs.
Prayer is a very important element in our lives, I believe that our prayer life keeps us connected to God; neglecting so greater privilege is something not to be taken lightly. When life brings each of us to a halt at any given moment (and it will), it very well may be a lesson of faith which challenges us to “BELIEVE IN GOD’S SON BY WORKING AT PERFECTING YOUR PRAYER LIFE.”
Set aside time to seek God in prayer for all things that pertain to life, which means prayer should be a petition for others as well as yourself, if prayers are to be effective be mindful of your approach to God with your request or desire truly focused , he wants your full attention, faith based sincere prayers.
Let grace, mercy, truth and love become who you are in the Lord.
Our prayers should be a time of total submission and in honor when approaching the throne of grace with our request. Prayer time set aside should not be a time of insincere thoughts (occupied), but an approach to God in total dependency and expectancy in faith.
Our Heavenly Father knows all about us, who we are and what we need. We must develop an attitude of free will, practicing what we profess.
Through-out scripture prayer is used to make the connection many times over and over. Paul says (to the followers in Philippi), “This is my prayer: that your love will flourish and that you will not only love much but well. Learn to love appropriately. Use your head and test your feelings so that love is sincere and intelligent, not sentimental gush. Live a lover’s life, circumspect and exemplary, a life Jesus will be proud of: bountiful in fruits from the soul, making Jesus Christ attractive to all, getting everyone involved in the glory and praise of God” (Philippians 1:9-11 MGS). BELIEVE IN GOD’S SON BY WORKING AT PROFECTING YOUR PRAYER LIFE, the Lord is good to all; and his tender mercies are over all his works (Psalm 145:9).
Finally, Jesus designed the pattern as a guide for all to be able to seek out and comprehend the full meaning of prayer. Throughout his journey you find that he often sought privacy and solitude when communicating with his Father. He remembered those chosen to share in his journey as well as all others who make the decision to pick up the cross and follow him.
He encourages our hearts when he spoke these words: “If you remain attached to me, and my words live in you, you can ask what you will and it shall be done for you” (John 15:7). So if you BELIEVE IN GOD’S SON BY WORKING AT PROFECTING YOUR PRAYER LIFE, know without a doubt that he hears your request and will come through in his own time.
