SUNDAY PRAYER PRAISE AND WORSHIP SERVICE 30 LIVING IN THE ABUNDANCE OF GOD’S GRACE
Good Morning Children of God, if it’s Sunday, it is time to get our Praise on. Let’s raise our Holy Hands towards Heaven and say, “Lord I love you, Lord I honor you, Lord I praise you, Lord I give you all the praise and glory, because you are worthy, I say you are worthy, to be praised. Nothing excites me more than the opportunity to praise you Lord. But when each Sunday Morning rolls around, I am especially excited, because I know people of all stripes and colors and religion are doing the same. Glory, Glory, Glory, thank you Jesus for allowing me to awaken to a brand new day of Praise, Prayer and Worship! Let us lift up our HOLY HANDS, reflect on His goodness and mercy, and just PRAISE HIM, PRAISE HIM, PRAISE HIM! When PRAISES go up, BLESSINGS come down. Thank you Jesus, thank you Jesus!
A MOMENT OF REFLECTIONS:
Yesterday I had the opportunity to participate in the Back to School Empowerment Summit at my home Church in Mt.Airy, Ga. One of the truly great highlights of the day was watching the young children perform in the performing arts academy under the directions of first lady Dr. Naomi Dorsey. So I present this photo of praise for our praise service this morning. LIFT UP HOLY HANDS AND PRAISE GOD!
LET US PRAY: Eternal God, our Heavenly Father, I enter into your presents this morning as your servant sent into the field of battle to stand with, share with, pray with and lay hands on those who have been knock down, stepped on, wounded and left for dead; those who are suffering from all types of sickness and disease, broken homes, broken relationships. Your Servant is here this morning offering a word of prayer that you may hear your servant’s voice and answer his call for healing, strength and comfort for those that are in the greatest need. We are thanking you right now Heavenly Father, for what you are about to do in a supernatural way in the lives of your Children as you open the windows of heaven and pour out a blessing that is going to change lives and empower our youth and all others to reach higher grounds, in Jesus name we pray, Amen!
TODAY’S SCRIPTURE IS: PSALMS 23 THE LORD IS MY SHEPARD I SHALL NOT WANT
On this day, I live in Abundance, I am an Abundant person and I shall not want for anything. The Lord is my Shepard and He provides for all my needs.
TODAY’S LESSON IS TITLE: LIVING IN THE ABUNDANCE OF GOD’S GRACE
In today’s lesson Pastor Davis lay’s out for us, what it truly means to live an abundant life. Please read and pay close attention to what the word teaches us about such a life.
For you are becoming progressively acquainted with and recognizing more strongly and clearly the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ (His kindness, His gracious generosity, His undeserved favor and spiritual blessing), [in] that though He was [so very] rich, yet for your sakes He became [so very] poor, in order that by His poverty you might become enriched (abundantly supplied). (2 Corinthians 8:9 AMP)
In the American Dream, wealth, fame and prestigious seems to be the aim of most Americans. Finding the right job, getting paid the right salary in order to make enough money to buy and accumulate enough material things to satisfy our appetite is the goal we seem to always be reaching for. But is that really the type of wealth and Abundant Life that God is trying to provide to us in order that we may live an abundant life? Well, let us understand what Jesus said about His coming; He said, “I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till itoverflows). John 10:10 In other words, Jesus wants us to have real life, eternal life, and abundance of all the wealth that He can provide to us and for us to enjoy as we live out our time here on this earth.
Therefore, let us examine what an Abundant life is; it is eternal life, a life that begins the moment we come to Christ and receive Him as Savior, and goes on throughout all eternity.
The biblical definition of life — specifically eternal life — is provided by Jesus Himself: and this is what He says, “Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent” (John 17:3). This definition makes no mention of length of days, health, prosperity, family, or occupation. As a matter of fact, the only thing it does mention is knowledge of God, which is the key to a truly abundant life.
This word “abundant” in the Greek language is pronounced perisson, and it means “exceedingly, very highly, beyond measure, more, superfluous, which is a quantity so abundant as to be considerably more than what one would expect or anticipate.”
As Christian’s our life revolves around “grow[ing] in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ” (2 Peter 3:18). This teaches us that our abundant life is a continual process of learning, practicing, and maturing, as well as failing, recovering, adjusting, enduring, and overcoming, because, in our present state, “we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror” (1 Corinthians 13:12).
However, Jesus promises us a life far better than we could ever imagine, a concept reminiscent of 1 Corinthians 2:9, which says, “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him.”
Now in closing, let me make this final statement; we as human beings are naturally desirous of material things, as Christians our perspective on life must be revolutionized (Romans 12:2). Just as we become new creations when we come to Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17), so must our understanding of “abundance” be transformed. True abundant life consists of an abundance of love, joy, peace, and the rest of the fruits of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23), not an abundance of “stuff.” It consists of life that is eternal, and, therefore, our interest is in the eternal, not the temporal. Paul admonishes us with these words when he says, “Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God” (Colossians 3:2-3).
LET US PRAY:
Heavenly Father, we thank you for the message of Abundance, we thank you for the messenger, and we thank you for all your Children that opened up their hearts and minds to receive what you had prepared for them this day. May the truth of your words penetrate deep into the soil that you have prepared and when the time is right, they will sprout and manifest themselves into the great abundance that you desire for each to have and share, In Jesus name, Amen!
