Good Morning Children of God, if it is Sunday it is time to rise and shine, enter into our Virtual Church and get your Praise on.  We serve an awesome God, a God of pure love, and justice for all.  A God that is worthy of our praises.  Now let us use this moment to lift each other up in Prayer and Praise as we come forth to give God our hearts and be thankful for all that He has done for us and what He is now doing each moment of each day to bring about a change in our lives and a revitalization of our Spirits.

MOMENT OF REFLECTION:  Last night, there was a major verdict handed down of not guilty in the Treyvon Martin and George Zimmerman trial.  This is something that we all as Children of God must be mindful of, pay close attention to and pray about.  As Children of God, we are one people, not separated by race, creed or color.  We are all God’s Servants, and our job is to demonstrate to the world Godly love, Compassion and Encouragement to one another.  When there is injustice done to one of us, there is injustice done to all of us.  We serve a God of justice that is inclusive to all people, no matter the color of their skin, national origin or religion.  Yes, the jury has rendered it’s verdict, but let us be reminded that another one of our children has been murdered for no other reason than the color of his skin.  And today, the Martin Family continues to grieve over the lost of their child in this senseless killing, which could have been anyone of our own sons.  Therefore, let us join together and lift up this family in our prayers this Sunday Morning.

LET US PRAY:  Most Holy and Precious God, our Heavenly Father; we enter into your present this morning with sadness as well as praise and thanksgiving in our hearts.  Our sadness comes from the suffering of the Martin Family for the lost of their son and their continuous grief after the verdict of this trial; and we pray as well for the many other families that are also grieving from losing their young children to all the violence that is taking place here in our streets and neighborhoods.  We seek this day Heavenly Father, divine intervention to curb the violence and restore peace and calmness to our communities.  As our prayers go up this day Heavenly Father, send down your blessings of love, peace, joy and calmness into the hearts of the Martin family and all the other families that are in need of these blessings.  Let patience and calmness be the divine order of the day in our streets throughout America.  Let this day and this tragedy be a day of awaken, that we as a people will join together, pray together, put aside our prejudice, and intolerance, and allow the Holy Spirit to gently  move us to a better place that we may embrace each other with a heart filled with love.  In Jesus name, Amen!

OUR SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY IS:  MATTHEW 17:20 ESV

He said to them, “Because of your little faith. For truly, I say to you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you.

  1. Hello dear brother…

Thanks for another uplifting message. I’m in total agreement with you that we all need to look to the Lord as our source of encouragement in the midst of the troubles and heartaches we all face in life. Very well said, brother. Your message was a blessing.

By the way, I do also agree with your take on the Treyvon Martin incident was a travesty and much prayer and reflection by God’s people is needed. By His grace, we know that all things will be made right when we stand before Him. I rest in that promise as I see all the injustice that exists in this world.

Again, Lord bless you brother. Thank you for you faithfulness to the Lord.

  2. Praying for the Martin family and for all of us. Disappointed with verdict. I am encouraged that God’s judgement will prevail in all. The battle is His.

    BE ENCOURAGED! BE BLESSED!
