There is no time greater than this day that we all must kneel before God and pray. When one of God’s Children is hurting, all of His Children feel the pain. Although many of us are far removed from the actual scene of the crime, we are connected to all the victims through our spiritual minds. Therefore, let us all take some time and focus our minds upon them as we seek God to bring comfort and healing into their physical bodies, spiritual minds and communities. For God knows our needs and He is prepared to meet all of them providing we seek him out, be obedient to His commands, then lean and depend on Him to bring peace and comfort to all who believe.
Now listen to what He said we must do, “if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” (2 Chronicles 7:14ESV).”
There is trouble in our land and in the hearts of some of our people. Through the lack of knowledge and the ignorance of a few disturbed and deranged minds, these people feel they have a God given right to take out a gun walk into a place where God’s children have gather and open fire on totally innocence people, shoot and kill them. This is troubling and not acceptable in the sight of God.
He is not pleased with these types of crimes being raged upon his children. Nor is he please with us so called Christians and Politicians who are hiding behind our second amendment rights to bear arms and just allow these deranged minded people the right to obtain weapons and carry out these violent crimes. Now don’t get me wrong, I am not against owning guns because I own a few guns myself. It is not the guns that kill people, but it is the guns that destroy the lives of many. The people that are allowed to buy these guns with complete easy and little to no accountability are the ones that are doing the shooting and killing, along with the laws and restrictions that allow them to obtain these weapons with such ease.
The two recent massive shooting, the one in Aurora, Colorado and now this one in Wisconsin, the gunman were able to purchase their guns and ammunition legally. There are three very important points to consider here; (1) is we need to re-examine our own thinking and convictions on the gun laws we now have in place. (2) We need to establish and enact some sensible gun laws that will effect, and eliminate people such as the two that just committed mass murder of God’s children, and (3) we are in great need of strong leadership from our politicians. It is time for the people’s voices to not only be heard but listen too. Our current crop of politicians is beholden to the all mighty dollar and the special interest. The people they serve and this great country of ours that they are sworn to represent is no longer their primary concern. Yet we all are suffering from their lack of concern, and it is now time to make a change.
People of God, think deeply on what is happening in your own communities on a daily basis with gun violence. Have things gotten so bad that each one of us need to arm ourselves with AK47 to protect our homes and families? At what point do we all become so angry that we take our weapons, step out into the streets and start shooting and murdering each others? God created us better than this, He created us out of love and He placed in us a loving heart. One that says we are to love each other. Love our neighbor as ourselves. Children of God need to take responsibility for what is happening, and say to our elected officials, enough is enough.
God gave us the power to make a change. Now is the time for each one of us to use our power at the ballot box this November. Stop being a one issue voter. Look at the big picture and make your vote count according to the needs of the majority. No matter how we look at it, God is still in control of our lives, and He is taking note on how we take care of what He has put us in charge of. The time is now for each one of us to do what is right and pleasing in God’s sight.
Prayer is the order of the day, you pray for me and I will pray for you. Today we can use our powers to pray for these victims that they will find comfort in knowing that their love ones are in the present of God. Their grief is real and their pain is our pain. But joy will come in the morning. We are all one people in the sight of God, let us walk by faith and not by sight and know in our hearts that God will hear our cries and He will answer our prayers, in the name of Jesus, AMEN!
